I'm probably not gonna be able to get this anyway :( It'll probably never get released in the UK and since Blu-Rays are region protected I can't import one like I could with the games.

The best I can do is import the DVD and play it on my computer, but it would've been nice to have the HD version :(

I might not take that long as long as they drop the none plot stuff. Something like:

-Kills PKs
-Haseo gets DD
-Haseo meets GU
Haseo meets Sakubo
-Haseo witnesses endrance
-Haseo gets pissed at Atoli
-Haseo fights people up too Endrance (IE Alkaid is introduced and has a larger role)
-Haseo fights En
-Haseo fights AK

ect...

Like it will probably have weaker transitions but will look amazing. The fights will be beautiful. The avatars will look amazing. Hopefully we'll get some cool extras like Ovans lost weapon. The seem to have redid Alkaid a little and we might see her in a larger role. The creators wanted that. All of Atoli's Avatar issue might get turned into GU+ but that will save time. Its gunna be good! The screnes look great.

This CG is being directed by the gu games director and cc2 president himself.... Yeah. It will likely be done without sacrificing any major plot points. They won't need to copy/paste props and characters because Trilogy is about Rebirth, Reminisce, and Redemption; all in one neat and nice looking package. Besides any minor changes in the art style(not talking about CG- i'm referring to the art style), I don't expect anything to be drastically changed in regards to the drama in the story. Have you seen them summarize the story when you hit 'new game' in gu games? They do quite a nice job of summarizing the story up until those points. I have great confidence that Trilogy will be execute in the same direction. The only changes would be an explanation(emphasis) on each of the main points in the story. Example would be to summarize the disagreements between Haseo and Kuhn then show them off at the arena before during and after thier avatar fights. <<There. Main point explained within 4:30 minutes. Another example would be examine the relationship between Sakaki and Atoli before Sakaki's revolt against Moon Tree. That part would be summarized. The part to be shown off would be the actual scene in the class room with Haseo and Atoli including thier avatar fight. All could be done probably in 7:00 minutes. Both the summarizing and the "drawn out" events would play out in CG. There would be no slow down whatsoever and the drama throughout would remain fast paced and consistent. Let me go forward just a bit and give one more example. Think of the shock and feelings of betrayal Haseo felt after his confrontation with the true Tri-edge. Ovan... he wants Haseo to destroy him. Haseo reflects back on his struggles to that point. Then we actually see Ovan reveal himself to Haseo. Done in 5:00 minutes. What i'm trying to get at is that no matter how long the eventual product(Trilogy) will run, there are many ways to execute this project when you look of the plot points. Cause and effect basically. By no means do I think Trilogy would play out like this because there is no evidence supporting that. Yet at the same time I think that the above method is one way that the 80 minutes can be used. There is only 80 minutes... unless they increase the length.

Think of it like this. You have a paper to write..... So what does your teacher tell you to do to prepare for it? Not just research I hope. She tells you to create an "outline" that will simplify your paper you are writing by putting an emphasis on your research topic's main points. Make sense? There are many ways to write a paper and there are also many ways to write a speech. Many words that can be said and mean exactly the same thing. Many causes that can lead to only but a single outcome.

EDIT: Ah! Keyword: Weak Transitions; between each major event.

After scouring the internet looking for more information on Trilogy, I came up basically with nothing (everyone says about the same thing, more or less), but I got confused. Can anyone tell me whether Trilogy is just an HD upgrade of the ingame movies or is it completely redone?

I'm really excited about Trilogy; I flipped out when I first read the news like two minutes ago, but unfortunately I have to agree that 85 mins. isn't quite long enough. Still, I have high hopes for it, and would definitely import if it doesn't make it to the states. One more reason to look forward to this year's Tokyo Game Show :D

If things progress the way Dragoon2044 put it, I think the movie will be pretty good. The only thing I worry about is if it ends up being like the Escaflowne Movie. >.O

By the way, do you think there's any chance of them making a completely new soundtrack for the movie? I hope so! <3

Oh-hoh!
Didn't expect this to happen. I will also look forward seeing this. :)

O also liked your idea of the way to start the movie the same way as in the other two games summary's, Dragoon2044. That might just work.
But lets wait and see.

Well, I don't think it'll be BETTER than FFVII: AV. Remember, they are using the same system they used for the game. From the looks of it, it'll be like the cutscenes, but smoother and more well-defined. I really can't wait for this, though.

I gotta leave more often.
Seriosuly though, I'm hoping good thigns from this. I have no idea how they would rewright it, or how much it's going to retcon, but that's not the point. I'm reeeeeeaaaaally looking forward to it.
