Hello Adoring Fans,

Salvador Aihara here with another exclusive interview! I was allowed into the dark and dangerous area most gamers wish they are allowed to see ?? the QA department, where people are paid to play video games. Today we are going to be talking with Ken Mah, QA Lead for numerous titles, including .hack//G.U. Vol. 1 and Vol. 2

So, what do you do as a QA Lead?
My job as a QA Lead is to make sure the game flows and works the way the designers intended it to. Sometimes this fine line can get a bit blurred while going through the whole localization process but in the end I??m proud of the work we??ve done. We??re taking this same attitude going into the sequel and I look forward to finishing the work on my first game trilogy.

And what specifically are you doing with .hack//G.U. Vol. 2: Reminisce?
With Reminisce I have been doing endless days and nights of nothing but this game. And what a game it is... I have played through the retail Japanese version several times and the localized U.S. version as well. I must say that it is a big improvement over .hack//G.U. Vol. 1: Rebirth. The tone is quite a bit darker, the story twists and turns, and the action is deeper. I can??t wait to get my hands on Vol. 3!

Wow, so lots of play time. What else are you working on?
Currently, I am polishing a walkthrough of the game for my testing team. Having this ready at the start of the project is essential so that all of your team is on the same page and know how the game is ??supposed?? to work. Now that they know how the game progresses, they know what to look for and when a bug occurs.

What else do QA testers do for the game?
In addition to the walkthrough I create detailed lists with all items, weapons, skills, armor, accessories, enemy types, and enemy skills. whew... Long lists with lots of stats, and then I assign a number of testers to check off those lists so that all the statistical data is accurate.

Thanks for your time, Mr. I get payed to play video games!
Tune back in two weeks from now for a new hard hitting interview!

Salvador Out!

Could be, but highly unlikely. I've never heard of a scheduled date for the announcement of a game's release date.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but so far, i don't think there has been a relese date announced for Europe, sorry.

haseoskeith wrote:What is this? Some kind of contest to see who has got the latest release date? Ok, then I say it's during the judgement day, and it comes included with a coffin for you to put yourself in...
We agree then  :D

My EB games didn't even know of Vol.1's existance until it showed up at their store on the release date so that doesn't really mean anything.

I Found GAMEPLAY VIDEOS!

The first one has Death Grunty customizing Haseo's bike. The second has a fight at a desert field.

Hmm the battle voices are different. It's still the same people but the rerecorded some of the lines it seems. Especially the awakening ones.

I noticed that too... Atoli sounds particularly squeaky, or whatever... Maybe this is just a prototype and the voicing isn't done. Well, the video's audio is kinda bad...

Either way, it looks cool. I can't wait to try out the new fields. Is it just me, or does the music remind you of Spyro: The Dragon...

VOLUME 2 NEEDS TO HURRY!!!! Haseo's 3rd form looks great. I've seen in some screenshots you got En. Sakubo. the girl who wanted to beat En instead of you. My spelling sucks so alkide i think its spelled that way. And i wonder if the girl you saved in the opening video for volume one talking about the strong adapt rogue that saved her. with the red and black armor will give you something if you talk to her.
