It seemed to Rei that Jess had a lot on her mind about getting involved in this. It was understandable, as she still questioned some of her actions from time to time, but it made her feel bad regardless. "You don't even need to do that if you don't want to. Like I said, having an extra pair of eyes to help watch out for any surprises isn't necessarily a bad thing either. We kind of have a guess at what she's got planned for us, but she's not really the most predictable person we've ever met either, so, yeah..."

"She's right, Jess. If you'd be more comfortable doing something like that, it would end up working out best in everyone's favor," Asher finally cut in. "If there's one thing that can knock down the chances of succeeding in a mission, it's someone being uncomfortable with their position. It happens all the time down at the station.."

Kazuto: ( he makes it looks like he's paying attention but it's clear his mind is wandering as he thinks about what could happen tonight he dreads the thought of losing anyone as he clenches his fists briefly as he looks and he mods at the plan As he hides any concern) so that's it huh? Simple enough

Everett: ( he sits up) Okay yeah that's actually quite simple I though you hunters thought up complicated plans

Jessabell considered what they had said, for a surprisingly long time for her. I want to help, and since father gave her the torque I kind of have to, but violence isn't my thing. And I don't want to ruin my dress if I can help it. "There are going to be lights, right? They'll probably have them off to get whatever claw they can on you. I can make it bright as midday for you if I can get to a junction box. That way I don't have to necessarily fight, but I'll still be close by so if you need help I can be there. Or if you want it dark I could eat the power before it gets there, or overload everything connected to the grid if I can get to their fuse box. Light bulbs would pop, fan motors would catch fire, and other stuff like that. How does that sound?"

"That sounds great, actually," Jason replied to Jess as soon as silence fell again. He was clearly amazed at the suggestion. "It was almost unnaturally dark when I faced her back home...."

"And she had it pitch black when I confronted her as well, now that you mention it. I went in at night, but still... Not even a hint of street light or moonlight were leaking through, and the apartment building she was hiding out in was full of holes. She had to have some kind of plan going on."

"Or some magic, Rei," Jason finished for her. "Did you catch any feeling from anyone other than her and the two ancients that cornered you?" She thought it over for a minute or two in silence, but ultimately shook her head 'no' in reply.

"If nothing else caught your attention, than either it was more of a hectic situation than you've let on," Asher began, cutting into their discussion. "Or there weren't any other ancients present, right?" Jason jumped into the answer once again, a proud smile falling across his lips, although he toned it down a little in order to avoid making Asher feel more skeptic of him.

"Or someone was manipulating things. We can never rule that one out. So, back to what I was saying earlier: having someone to take care of lights is something I would have never thought of. Hence why I suggested getting some back-up. And why we never start off with highly detailed plans," Jason directed towards Kazuto and Everett. "Because they change at the drop of a hat."

Kazuto:.....

Everett: yep ain't that the truth there's no telling what could happen to need to be prepared for anything otherwise

Kazuto: ( he clenches his fists) you die...there's no way to prepare completely but If we're prepared we'll fine

Jessabell smiled happily and settled back into her seat. And I don't have to worry about my dress getting ruined.

Standing up from the chair she was sitting in, Maram adjusted the skirt she was wearing. "Are you quite sure that it is alright to leave like this, Master Delano?" She asked, knowing that for some reason she probably wouldn't be able to return home. He had just told her to go to a connections hotel, but to make sure that he was the one to pay for the place. It was one way to keep her from using whatever funds she was saving for a rainy day.

"I will visit you when I finish taking care of this business." He nodded as she walked out, a servant gently handing her a coat as she left. He pulled a hand up for one of the maids to appear. "Hand me that phone." The woman left the room and returned with a cellphone that seemed to be made of a special material. He lifted it up and dialed the only number on the phone. The person on the other end would be able to help his situation.

"Gossip isn't something to talk about in such times. After all, it gets old rather quick." Delano spoke with a rather annoyed tone at the thought of talking gossip with any other CEOs. "I have a bit of an issue with Adil Lotis." He waited for the words to sink in. "I'm going to have to either kill him or give him something quite precious to me at the moment." He knew that when he said something, it seemed like he was using an object or wanted to own something for a few moments without it being taken out. "Of course, we all know how big of an issue would come up if I did end up killing him."

Delano smiled, though it tired him to call in favors over things like this. However, he couldn't handle this problem without a little help. "I'll be sure to bring some of the good liquor." It was a sign he was quite serious in need of help. It was also a show that his pride was on the line and he was willing to give a little leeway. He closed the call, handing it to the maid. "Get the bottle from the fifth rack." The maid nodded and left the room.

Meanwhile, Maram leaned back as she watched the cars go by. The area held a bit of tension as she looked at each of buildings. She just hoped that whatever happened would stop soon. "I would like to stop near the typical area." She answered, pointing out a rather cheap, but somewhat gourmet little restaurant. She closed her eyes and allowed the car to turn a few streets to reach it.

Delano kept his confident expression, though he knew Larfleeze could already tell his problem was going to be hard to deal with. He placed the special, rather old wine down. "It's an interesting development, considering I had no intention of thinking it further than it already was. My personal favorite happens to be a rather desperate djinn." He allowed the words to flow out of him carefully, but naturally. "I'm sure you heard about the issue regarding a rather annoying pest going from brothel to brothel over the past month or so. I finally managed to locate the reason he was bothering my brothel specifically."

He took a far more menacing tone at the thoughts coming into his head. "This assassin was after that particular djinn. It turns out that he was hired by Adil Lotis to kidnap her and use anti-djinn rounds of considerable quality." He removed a bag with the bullet Maram was hit with. "The killing blow to this issue is that it turns out she's the child from an affair he had with a woman who couldn't even defend herself." He allowed the wine to be poured before he continued, gently lifting the glass. "He's set on adopting her against her will." It was well known that he and Adil were not very civil, even at the best of times.

Maram had taken a table in the back corner, seeming to be swarmed by Delano's guards. One was posing as a date in order to keep people from looking confused. The others had positions that didn't make them stand out too much. Maram felt like she was being imprisoned in some way, a bit uncertain about what was going to happen. She stood up from the table and moved back when she sensed that something might happen. It was that feeling of being trapped in more ways than one could imagine. She saw a signal to head towards the kitchen from her date, walking out as a fight seemed to start breaking out in the restaurant.

From the back of the restaurant she'd have to head towards an area with not many people. Perhaps somewhere djinns wouldn't reside. She would wander towards an area full of vampires for now. If she didn't get caught by them, it'd be far easier to lay low. Perhaps she'd star by heading towards the vampire brothel and see where to go from there.

"You know I tend to like the desperate ones for quite a bit." Delano spoke, seeming calm despite the accusation he might have fallen for Maram. "It's merely a game I want to win against Lotis. She's my employee and it's her choice. If she chooses to displease me by going, then I will have to concede to Lotis." He of course had little interest in marrying anyone who wasn't a prideful dragon. The jest was a pointless thought in particular. Of course, mixed breeding bugged him the most and he couldn't even allow a mixed dragon to marry him. "You know how I despise mixed breeding." There weren't many examples of Delano being in the position of wanting to put his pride on the line.

"I want to make it so that Lotis can't adopt his daughter. Considering the situation, if he's waited this long, there has to be a way to make it that he has no genetic right to claim her." He lowered his glass down, gaining a serious expression on his face. "I understand that records are quite the specialty. If we can somehow make the documents state he isn't the father, then the entire issue is rendered useless." He knew that he couldn't use his connections too easily and so soon after a meeting with Adil. He would have tried to appeal to the vampire CEO, but there was a bit too much going on there at the moment. "I want this to be settled as fast as possible. Of course... I'm willing to offer quite a bit of leeway on this situation. What's your price range?" It was a way of pointing out that plenty was possible, but not getting too much hope up.

"With this much glitter, I'm apt to agree that you wouldn't want anyone to go and dowse her in the substance." Delano spoke, putting one finger to the invitation to test the thickness of the glitter. Seeing that barely any had been scraped off by his touch, he grimaced at the thought of a place with more of it. "I believe I can attend a party without burning the rest of the party to ashes. Let's hope they don't put this much glitter on their dinner plates."

Everett: so we have this thing all figured out right? we just waiting on it to get dark?


Kazuto: { he leans back on the couch}....the quicker we do this the quicker this is over am I right? {he stretches} do you mind if i go grab some air?
