ah sry sry, i'm totally off today, its the super quick exp code from Vol 2, if u or someone could convert it to use in Vol 3, that would be awesome. i did find the japanese codes for Vol 3, which has a exp mod, but it was never converted, so either way, having a code like the one in vol 2 would be awesome, save a lot of tedious code entry :)

this was the code i found for vol 3, but the Japanese version, i have no skill at doing converts/ports, and the tut i found is just confusing... anyway here

Japanese EXP mode (all chars) i think :P
Experience value x double
0CC88BDC 14564FBA
1CC88BDC 14584XXX

xxx
F65 2
F25 4
FE5 8
EA5 16
E65 32

the XXX i'm guessing is the multiplyer, so to lvl quick u would use 32

Know this: anyone you want to use DG's WILL look like Haseo's Xth Form. There is NO other way to use them. Essentially you won't be using Enju, Atoli, Kuhn, Ovan, or whomever else you want to have DG's as ONLY Haseo can use them. You will be REPLACING any character you want to have a DG with Haseo. If you want Ovan to have DG, you will get a Haseo with the name Ovan. If you want Pi to use DG's, she will look like Haseo, but be named Pi. That's as far as the code can go. It is completely impossible for any character to use dual guns unless they have been replaced by Haseo first.

This is not the case with other weapons, as other characters have animations for other weapons... Anyone can be converted to a Twin Blade or a Flick Reaper... But NOT a dual gunner. Haseo is the only character who has animations for dual guns, and his animation files only work on him, so to get another character to use dual guns, you have to make them look like Haseo, no exceptions.

To be honest, I see no point in having a party full of 3 Haseo's... it doesn't sound like much fun at all. Basically it's like turning your girlfriend into your brother, because you want her to carry a gun... it's a waste of a good woman.
Ah.. I though that Sophora witch some codes making her use the DGs look like her [ I GUESS ]. Also.. I know it's not my that fun having three Haseos in the party. I just want to figure out how to do three Characters with one party. Because I use to do this [Examble: Kuhn]:

10B4E8B4 00000003
10B4E8B6 00000003
10B4E8B8 00000003

And It didn't works. After I know How to do the Xth Triad. I would know how to use others with three. or Make the Prototype Ovan three in my party [ NOTE: I still wondering Why Prototype Ovan Can't get him with party. ] Then Let say 3 Taihakus as for:

10B4E8B4 0000000F
10B4E8B6 0000000F
10B4E8B8 0000000F

If I've ported this correctly, and in fact the code IS portable...

0CD0F1B0 14564FBA
1CD0F1B0 14584E65

That should work. But again, realize that I'm NOT Skiller or ZED, I'm only using the port offset for updating codes from one volume to another. to another.

(To port most codes from vol2 to vol3, add 0x000865D4 to the address of the vol2 code... The address is the left 8 numbers.)

EDIT: Ok, you want three Taihaku's? then I'll replace Matsu and Kuhn with Taihaku, and you can put Taihaku[Matsu], Taihaku[Kuhn] and Taihaku[Taihaku] in your party(Make Taihaku[Taihaku] your main character.

That code set would be...

Code: Select all

Put Taihaku in the first party slot:
10B4E8B4 00000011

Replace Matsu:
5095B190 0000002C
0095AED0 00000000

Replace Kuhn:
5095B190 0000002C
0095A7F0 00000000
With those 3 cheats (5 codes total), you should get a Taihaku clone whenever you call Matsu and/or Kuhn. Haseo's slot if taken by Taihaku already, and Matsu and Kuhn are now using Taihaku's model and animation data, I chose them because they already use bayonets.

That's the theory anyway. read page 14 of this thread to get a good tutorial on how to change models for things.

Okay. What about the X-St Form? Nobody answer that? Is that even a code?

No, that code is for Solgath

This is yours at the bottom, 3x Taihaku:

There is no X-st form. There is no B-st form either. What that picture is, is replacing a Dual Sword model with the model for a Broadsword, thus giving the appearance of dual broadswords, when in fact it is just a normal twinblade weapon.

I do not remember how those codes work right off, but I will post them when I do if no one else does.

Also note, I am a very succinct person sometimes, take no offense.

EDIT: This will make all Spin Gorai look like Broad Legged... a Spin Legged basically...

As for 3 Taihakus...:

A-> The Code replaces the Haseo to Taihaku You've actully gave me Shino. I've fix it to Taihaku [ As 003F ]
B-> Matsu Actully Works.
C-> Kuhn Nope. Nothing happens. And I'm sure about the codes.

~~~~
I know it's a Dual Swords.... I just wanted to know if there is a Code for that how to do it? and the Above code is for it?
As for your another EDIT the Code I'll test them right now. Just let me know How/What/Where they work. and I'll test them now. Because I'm playing at these moments.
I'll try the codes I'm Sure that is for the X-St changing the The Twin blades.. I'll try to make them now.
EDIT 1: About Taihakus
EDIT 2: *Making the Twin Blades for two Broad Lagged [ or The Ones you've put I'll do them now. ]
~~~

I've Done the First Code and it's done like that:
There is no X-st form. There is no B-st form either. What that picture is, is replacing a Dual Sword model with the model for a Broadsword, thus giving the appearance of dual broadswords, when in fact it is just a normal twinblade weapon.

as I told you before. I know there is no X-st as Using two broads I know that is a Twin Blade. and the first code results:

Image

Done: The First codes actully Works. Results are above by the Pic.

As for the second I'll do now..

~~Suggestion: Why not Two Slaids? Or because in the Movie carry two Broad Laggeds?

I did what I did because it was the simplest one. The GUequip Guide has that combo specifically listed in it as the explanation, so I know it will definitely work. Dual Demon Slice's might not work though...

Dual Silad's would be something like this...

Code: Select all

Replace Spin Needle with Silad (Szilard's Needle?)
50987030 0000000C
00986D80 00000000

Taihaku[Kuhn]
5095B190 0000002C
0095A8A0 00000000
Sorry about the Taihaku mixup, I don't have a list of character digits in front of me... I'm not sure how but I wrote the wrong address for Kuhn, the correct code should be in this post.

No problem bro. and thanks for the double Slaid :D I'll do it now.

The Spin Piney Replace for the Demon thing.. sorry bro It's not working. It's stuck at the Loading.

Checked--> Double Slaid Wrong one. [Spin Needle right?] Doesn't work it appears the original one. The priginal weapon.

That's strange... that one I typed correctly... it should work according to the document. It could be that it just doesn't work in general... some weapons are like that.

I really don't know...

You can try this, it uses a different dual sword...

Silad Nezumi (Spin Nezumi)
50987030 0000000C
00986E10 00000000

It may be that Silad just can't be used... I'll try Maxwell also, since it looks almost the same.

Maxwell's Fang (Spin Fang)
50987320 0000000C
00986E00 00000000

Hopefully one of those will work...

ah, kool, that code u converted is the japanese code for Vol 3, so it will work on the ntsc version? sry if i wasn't clear on that part, this code that follows is the actual Vol 3 code for EXP, all chars i think, not the Vol 2 one.

Experience value x double (japanese xp code Vol 3)
0CC88BDC 14564FBA
1CC88BDC 14584XXX

F65 2
F25 4
FE5 8
EA5 16
E65 32

this code here is the Vol 2 code that i was looking to get ported -
Super quick Lvl up (all chars)
20368418 201003e8

so basically to port it my self, do i bust out the hex calc and add the offset?

thanks for the assist so far Satoh :)

Hey SupremeKing, sorry for net getting back to you sooner, I was having computer problems and the website wasn't loading. Did you still want that conversion chart and my codes to convert Sophora into a DG Mage (with Haseo's sprite, obviously?) (The purpose of which is to "mask" over any character with any other Special character's (Haseo, Atoli, Kuhn, etc) sprite, which would of course allow you to essentially make any team you want, including the Xth Triad)

Also, about the photos on the previous page (The Spin-broadsword whose name I cannot remember for some reason), I tried to do that, myself, months ago, but it didn't work for me. I suppose I was using a non-compatible weapon matchup (It happens) but it would be really nice if it worked for all weapons, you know? Though now that it's been mentionned, I'd LOVE to use a dual Maxwell, or even use Maxwell on a Blade Brandier. When I saw Taihaku and that weapon I was kind of "WHAT?" I knew he was a steam gunner, but when I heard he got a rare "sword" from the forest of pain, I expected a bayonnet with like a dual scimitar branching off it or something.

Is what I get when I add the offset. So I would try that.

I'm still reeling from my inability to give Enju proper generic animations... I feel like I'm right on the cusp of getting it... but it's just out of my conception at the moment...

Anyway guys, I hope you aren't judging me at the same level as ZED, I'm far from it... I make plenty of mistakes, so be aware of that.

I'm happy to help though.

Heh, no worries, Satoh, feel free to go back and read my epic typos that led to messed up flukes like trying to change someone's weapon and ending up giving Atoli's water element +999 and turning Kuhn's bayonet into a Blade Jijo (one code, intended to change Yata's fan's models into that of a Hidaru for laughs, man did I miss that one up!) You're more skilled than me at least.

All my hexcode experience is Very simple "I have this code, I know what to change to modify variables, and I have this variable list when specific characters/items are involved." If I just look at a game and want to do something, I have NO idea where to start without a base code to get me started. At least you're making an effort to put forth your ideas, admitting they could be wrong. I KNOW 90% of what I'm trying isn't working, so yeah :p

I also feel your pain on the generic issue. the GU Interface program I've heard about doesn't want to so much as download for some reason, and without it, I'm basically just taking blind trial-and-error stabs in the dark. Not going so well....

Well, like I said, there is a good tutorial on how to change character models back on page 14. That's been my main reference along with the GUmodelFAQ documents... and the GUEquip document.

If you don't have those I recommend you download them. You should also get PS2DIS.

Yeah, I have those documents, very nice stuff. I've hacked some neat weapons that should not exist thanks to those files! (Namely, normal rarity 4 weapons with Godspeed bullet, hehe) They have almost everything I've ever needed. (The rest being on Zed's Caves of Narshe page and the GameFAQs code list)

PS2DIS, however, has also not wanted to download. I have a few sample DIS files lying around but I can't open them. Is there another place I could download it besides Fileplanet since that site has been giving me problems.

Awesome, Satoh! Downloading now! I really appreciate it!

If, by some fluke, I crack the generic thing before you (I assume Enju is Sophora? I only know the Iccolo Japanese names, basically, like Yokow andTenrawr) I'll be sure to return the favor by posting my find!
