Jason let the question hang in the air for a moment at first while he contemplated the best answer. When one came to mind, he shrugged his shoulders and sighed. "I guess we can head back to see what we left Rei at, if you want. If not, we can head back to her place and wait. I have a spare key, so we can go inside and wait. It's not like she won't have a ride home with her brother there, but it's your call, Kazuto."

'I wonder how prepared he truly is for this... He seems confident, which is good, but I don't think he fully understands the situation at hand yet. He's thought about what would happen if his friend doesn't make it, I'm sure, but has he considered what would happen if Rei doesn't?... I'll talk to him in private more before we head out just in case, but I'll let it go for tonight...'

"Not a bad plan. Meet me there whenever, but make sure to knock even if for some reason I've left the door unlocked. Let's say... knock four times rapidly to let me know it's you if you don't follow me straight there. And don't be surprised if Rei ever asks you to do a certain pattern when knocking or entering in general, by the way. For us hunters, you have to be as careful as possible. Sometimes that includes shooting anything that walks in your door if you're not expecting it." He laughed a little to try to make his comment somewhat funny, but it was obvious that he meant it as well. 'Better safe than sorry' was a good hunter's favorite motto.

When he was done laughing, he turned back toward the town and left, giving Kazuto the opportunity to either follow him or take his own route back. Either way, they would meet back at Rei's eventually.

Kazuto: ( he drove back to Reis the long way giving him time to reflect and try to think how he would react if anything would happen to rei though every single time he can't see himself staying in control) I won't let anything happen to her ( he shivers slightly as he's overcome with fear) I don't want to lose her...( he arrives at Reis house as he knocks on the door rapidly four times as instructed as he remains face and he calms down alittle bit)

Jason opened the door shortly after Kazuto had finished knocking, a rifle held by his side. "Good. You remembered," he said with a laugh, smiling wide. "And you managed to find her place just fine, I take it. Even better." He closed and locked the door behind them, setting the rifle down next to the door as he finished.

"So," he began a few seconds later as he took a seat on the couch. "Are you planning on inviting your friend over now, or did you want to wait until we see what Rei can do about her friend first? I mean, we still need to check about getting Mr. Delano's help on the matter even after she gets back, but if we start a general plan it will most likely make making the final plan a little less time consuming."

Ember walked out of the house carrying a large blanket, she slipped a sandal on as she locked the door behind her. The ghosts were still hanging about, they knew the police had no jurisdiction over them. "Get out of here the rest of you buzzards, she's not going to croak. Show's over." Ember on the other hand, if she got really pissed off she could "eat" them and so they scattered at that point. "Detective, good to see you." She tossed the blanket into the bed and hopped over herself an apparently well practiced maneuver. The gate in the back fell off a moment later. Maybe I'll actually be able to find a blue one to replace it with. Ember slid the cloth beneath one of Jess's feet to keep it from going flying. "So, what I'm thinking is we drive her back to her place and then we figure out how to put these on her" she said holding up a wrist, "and well, that's what the blanket is for. I've never figured out a way to wake her up when she's like this. It's not that hard when she's small, but right now. Kind of difficult. I wanted you with me in case I got pulled over on the way and there was a misunderstanding." She finally took notice of Rei, "Oh, hey, Rei, right?" Ember gave Asher a quizzical look. "You still live with your sister?"

Asher looked to Rei after Ember's question and couldn't help but laugh. "No, she just has a knack for showing up unexpectedly."

"It's not my fault that I was on my way to find you, and Jess a little more ironically, and happened to see your car. It's not like many people drive the same thing you do, Ash, and when I saw the crowd... Anyway, it's nice to see you again Ember, although this isn't exactly the best of situations. I hope you don't mind that I showed up or anything, but as I said, I was trying to find these two on my own..."

"If you want, I can ride with you in case anything happens on the way there. Rei can follow behind us as backup, and that should keep any patrol cars off our bumper as well. Is that alright with you," he asked, turning his attention back to Ember.

---------------------------------------------------

"Sure thing," Jason replied as he sat forward, taking a pen and notepad out from the small shelf on the coffee table. "You might want to take a seat, though. This could take a while."

"Sounds perfect! Thanks." Ember said, hugged Asher, and hopped down to the concrete. "Robin, keep an eye on Jess." Ember said as she placed a hand on her scarf and the familiar obeyed by curling up next to the dragon. He liked Jessabell so that wasn't unexpected. Ember drove quickly, with one eye on the rear view mirror, she did not want a shifting dragon moving around in the back of her truck which was riding dangerously low. "I think I need to add new shocks to my list of repairs." She said after they hit a dip in the road. Somehow Jessabell was still asleep in spite of the road. the trip was otherwise uneventful, something Ember was quite grateful for.

Ember hopped into the back again as soon as they arrived and pulled off the wrist bands. "Ok, now how am I supposed to get these on her?" Ember held the human sized pair in front of her; dubiously looking from them to the forelegs the size of her thighs at their thinnest points and up at the pair of cops with her. She tossed them to Asher, "What do you think, Detective?"

Asher looked from the wrist bands to the dragon before them just as carefully as Ember had, but nothing came to mind. He eventually shook his head and sighed, turning to face his sister next. "You deal with this kind of thing more than I do. Any ideas?" he asked, a faint hint of a laugh to his tone.

"Not in the slightest..." Rei replied while running her fingers through her hair, getting it out of her face. "I've never been presented with a situation like this before, and in all honesty, I'm not exactly an expert on dragons as a whole. If Jess were a vampire, then this would be a totally different story, but then again, we also wouldn't have this problem if she were..." Asher turned his gaze back to Ember, his thoughts still searching for any possible answer.

"Do you know any way to wake her up, Ember? Perhaps if we can get her awake she'll have a better suggestion than either of us do."

"It's no problem. I'm going to write it all down anyway, so if you do happen to miss something, it will be here for you to look at later." Jason got comfortable and pulled the notepad in between them just in case Kazuto decided to glance down at it at any point.

"Alright. I think I know where she's hiding out at right now. She most likely has another small army gathered by now, but that's okay. Most should be new to their powers, and therefor will be all but useless to her in the long run. Cannon fodder, if you will. We'll go in most likely as a group, maybe two if we figure out any more interesting details about her hideout in the meantime. If so, Rei will lead one and I will lead the other. You and your friend will most likely go with her if so, and I'll take anyone else we pull into this fight. Unless of course I'm set to stealth. Then you might end up with me, as I'm sure you have some kind of cloaking or shadow stepping or something being a vampire and all." He paused a moment to smirk almost teasingly toward Kazuto.

"The main part of the plan is to go in at night, when she'll least expect us to show up. I mean, normally we would go during the day to try to catch her off guard and potentially even weaker. She'll expect that, so we'll try going in at night. Rei and you will most likely go for any ancients she has gathered, as you'll both be able to handle them best; You for obvious reasons, and Rei for her affinity for them. The rest of us will fan out and keep the cannon fodder off of you guys, while at the same time try to get to the main target. She's not the type to run unless absolutely necessary so that shouldn't be an issue, but we'll have to watch her anyway. Hopefully it'll go quickly and smoothly, but there's no way I'm even going to go in expecting it to be that way..." He finished his list and sat back, dropping the pen on top of the notepad. He cradled his head in his hands and glanced over at Kazuto, examining his drawing in the process.

"Sound good so far? I mean, it's bound to change depending on what this Delano fellow can tell us, but all in all, this is the gist of it."

Kazuto: ( he conti he's to doodle) it sounds too but I'd say I'm not really the best at the whole stealth thing but I can move fast enough if I need to so I can cover stealth off needed I'd rather watch out for rei but I know she's strong so you need I'll cover stealth as well( he looks up for a brief moment) if their new horns their going to be strong due to their blood lust it's hard for newborns to control them selves so their easy for a ancient like her to control but they'll also be as you say cannon fodder to experienced hunters like rei and your self..( he sits back on the couch) I'm tired yawn wanna play cards to pass the time?

"Ah, the classic argument of newbloods. Yes, their bloodlust will make them stronger, but they have yet to gain abilities and they will essentially be chickens with their heads cut off. I've raided enough dens of them to realize this, and the way that this vampire in particular acts... They won't be much of an issue aside from their sheer mass." He closed his eyes and remained laying back a second more before he answered Kazuto's question in what looked somewhat smug, but in reality was him re-thinking over the plans. "Sure, if you have a set," he finally replied with a smile. The smile began to fall slowly moments later, and a serious expression replaced it.

"You know, not to sound like an overbearing parent or anything, but you can't go in worried about Rei's safety, or anyone else's for that matter, aside from your own Kazuto..." He paused and looked back toward Kazuto, hoping that what he was about to say wouldn't set him off. "That's how you either get them hurt or yourself killed. Are you sure you'll be able to focus completely on your part if you go with us, Kazuto, because if not, it's best to decide on backing out now. Rei and I both will understand, and I promise you that I'll protect her with my life either way. I just don't want you to come in and panic as soon as they draw a little bit of blood from her, because if she has as many pawns as she did the last time I met her, I assure you that they will draw a little blood from us all. Rei included."

Kazuto: I understand your concern but when it comes to vampires I know the risks and I know what happens unfortunately you don't have to worry about me I'm going besides if this ancient has access to ancient powers like that I'm not lettin you go without me.

Jason watched Kazuto as he spoke, seeing first hand how sincere about this he was. He was clearly not going to be scared off, but Jason continued to worry if maybe that would end up to be more of a hindrance than a help. It's not that he didn't trust Kazuto, but this was a serious matter and he had to make sure that everyone involved knew the risks and were okay with them.

"I can tell you know what you're getting yourself into, and if you're completely sure that you're going to be okay with it than so be it. I just want you to know one thing before anyone else arrives, and to be honest with you, if you take nothing from this conversation at all, take this to heart." His face grew grim and the hand furthest away from Kazuto clenched into a fist unconsciously. "I'll trust what you say for now, but I'm only going to say this once. If Rei gets severely hurt because of something you do..." He let the rest of his sentence trail off and began to calm down once more, his gaze falling back to the floor before him.

Jason nodded in reply to Kazuto's words, not entirely trusting himself to speak at the moment, and a moment later he appeared completely calm again. ''Speaking of Rei, I wonder what's keeping her... The situation, whatever it was, seemed moderately tame, and we'd have realized if it was a murder or something like that...''

He stood and stretched, glancing over at the door as he did. "Do you think we should go on and try to talk to this Delano guy? I'm not sure what we left Rei with, but it was apparently something more interesting than I originally thought. We want to try and strike as soon as possible, though, so we might as well be productive as possible with this little bit of down time right?"

Kazuto brought up a good point, but Jason felt confident that, based on what Rei had said when she originally mentioned Cole Delano, that he knew where they needed to go. "I'm pretty sure that I know which brothel he owns, since there's A) not too many in town and B) not as many dragons in this area as there are in others, based on what Rei's told me," Jason replied as he turned, heading toward Rei's bedroom. The sound of rummaging could be heard all the way into the living room, but he came back moments later with a large grin on his face. His expression easily screamed guilty. "Alright, I'm ready now. Whenever you're ready, we can go. You can either ride with me or follow, it's your choice," he said, taking up the rifle from beside the doorway.
