.Hack//LOST (PART C)--PROMISE

[The-Missing-Spade]

As soon as the battle was over, Indigo began to wonder who that suspicious figure was. She shrugged when she realized it must of been another player, wondering the area.
"Okay. Lets continue..."

When they entered the next room, she was surprised to notice the dark figure from before was no where to be found. The room lacked the fancy cloths the other rooms had on the walls. But now bronze torches lit the room with a dim light. And although no monsters were present another platform in the center of the room held a yellow chest. Indigo looked around for enemies, but it was clear the area was safe.

"Alright. Someone else is going to have to get the treasure...I'm not risking it." She said and smiled.

Kyo: I'll do it { walks up to the chest} hmmmm well I call the item that in here { Kicks it open} huh?! { he looks into the chest} hey its empty what the hell { the chest closes on kyos head} AHHH AHH Somebody help me out here { he breaks free} what the hell!

"seriously... kyo is this some kind of lame joke?... well, i'm soo not buying.. " keith replied... "let me check this out..." then keith walked confindently towards the chest... and then he points his sword cautiously at the chest... suddenly the chest begin to shook violently... "wt?"

(( Ok cool, well here I go.))

" Damn it! That PK almost got me! If I hadn't bust out that Fire Scroll I bought I would have been toast. I should head back to Mac Anu." Walking through the streets of Mac Anu, after stocking up on Potions, Spell Scrolls, and New Armor; Kamen was headed to the Guild Room. A cloaked NPC greeted him with a friendly, " Please speak your guild's name and present your Key Pass."

" My guild is Turbulence." The NPC gestured Kamen to walk forward. Upon entering the Guild Room, he found only the little Grunty, which appeared to have his hairstyle say, " Oink! Oink! The other Guild members are away for 2 Weeks! Oink! They told me to tell you to recruit new members! Oink!" Kamen sighed and walked out of the guild, and decided to go and look for some quests to do. " Hmm... Maybe doing a quest should help me find some people." He walked over to the Quest Shop and saw a quest scroll on sale. Taking a look at it, he spoke, " Let's see the Lost Sheep Adventure. Hmm.. sounds fun." He purchased a solo scroll. You see a Solo Scroll was something that was introduced in the last Update. You could purchase a Solo Scroll, which enabled you to go by yourself on a Party Quest, though 10x more expensive, it was worth it to get the valuable treasure from the quest. Sighing slightly, he walked towards the Chaos Gate.

But when he tried to put in the words he got a message.

The area you are trying to currently enter has been sealed off, please do not try to bypass the Security or the player(s) trying to get into the area will be strictly punished-- C.C. Corp Admin

" That's weird." When he tried to walk out of the dome, he saw a black light, and his FMD sight vanished.
" What the- Ahh!!" he felt like he was being pulled into a black hole, after the feeling subsided, he was in the area where the quest was supposed to take place. " How did this happen?"

Then he could faintly see 5 Players faintly in the distance, then the vision became more real until it seemed like the players had been transfered to this area. Then Kamen's blades glowed and changed into this:



" What happened to my blades?" When he checked his weapon's name and tried to exchange it with a different set, the message read

" What the?" He checked the name and the name read, Nirvana+

He wondered who the heck these players were, why his blades changed, and why he couldn't switch them out.

She tried to hold it in for a long time, but when she finally gave in Indigo broke out in laughter. She could see neither player was prepared for the Mimic that had apparently been placed to trick most players. When she saw it shake in front of Keith she quickly drew out her blades and spread a wide grin over her face.
"As common as those mimics are," She said as she prepared to commence battle. "They surprise us everytime."

After that she ran towards it and slashed it continuously until it took a massive chomp at Indigo's hitpoints. She withdrew hesitantly and used a potion to replenish most of her lost hitpoints.
"Come on, you guys. We can defeat this thing."

"hehe indigo.. i knew that it was a mimic like all along.. i can't be tricked that easily.. i'm keith after all right?" keith laughed with confidence.. "well, i'll show u mimic that u can't trick anymore people like kyo!" keith shouted at the mimic and launched his sword at the mimic.. the mimic treasure box drew back.. "hehe that's all u got? u need way more strength to trick and beat someone like me!"'

(( Wait I'm confused, should I edit my post? Or are you guys gonna finish the treasure thing then go with my part?))

Kyo: { hanging out of the mimics mouth basically dead}............................................................................

Reika: get up master kyo we still have work to do


Kyo: { his hand reaches up and it punches the mimic making a ahole and reika forms in his hand} flashing peirce! { he stabs reika into the mimic and then theres a eexplosion and kyo shakes his head and he broke free} well that should teach it that I'm no snack and keith I dont know about this but it dounded like you were calling me an idiot or was that my imagination

Tundra looked at Kyo and replied "Our actions are a direct representation to our thoughts and our intelligence. So if you didn't realize that there was a potential for that to be a set up, then perhaps you just answered your own question...and for the record, thats exactly what Keith was saying in so many words." Tundra finished with a grin and began serveying the area.

((I'm going to assume your event is taking place inside the same dungeon we are on, so I'm going to direct the rest to your location now. Sorry for the confusion, and lack of information too. ^^; ))

Indigo smiled at Tundra and joined him in observation as she looked around. It seemed as though their job was done for the moment, and suggested for everyone to continue on to the next room; the room she felt something was going to occur. It was an unusual feeling and wondered if perhaps Sauna had already decided on their next move. As she restored her determination once again she marched straight into the room and disapeared within the darkness.

In the next area, she was surprised to spot a new player. He stood looking slightly bewildered and a little shocked to the presence of Indigo and her friends. He had faintly grey hair and black shirt, and two obviously strange-looking blades on each hand. They didn't seem like anything Indigo knew existed within the game and wondered if perhaps they were an event item. She hesitated to say hi, but knew it would become akward for the rest if nothing was said; after all, this player didn't seem like a regular.

"Well hello there." Indigo greeted as she approached the Kamen. She placed her duel blades behind her and extended her hand to the stranger. She figured he couldn't exactly shake her hand back seeing as how he was still grabbing his blade. Somewhat upset she withdrew her arm and crossed hers around her chest.
"....Theres nothing to be shy about." She said. "But um, my name is Indigo. Nice to meet you."

" Um... ok. My name is Kamen. I'm a level 11 Dual Blade," Putting away his twin blades he asked," How come you guys are in the area for the Lost Sheep Quest? You guys look a bit too strong. Or is it that I got re-directed? And my twin blades changed too. Maybe you guys can help me. Why can't I change out my weapons?" taking out his twin blades, he presented them to the group.

"woah kyo.. it was just a joke.. don't take things so seriously.. chill okay?.. sorry.. i didn't know u gonna react this way to it..we're all on the same side here there is no use of bickering..." keith laughed out loud and scratched his head and then suddenly keith realized a new character came towards their group.. he saw indigo introduces herself, so he decided to do the same.. "hey! my name is keith and nice to meet u!"

Indigo waited for Keith to introduce himself before replying. Something was definetely not right with this Kamen user; to begin with they weren't in the LOST SHEEP event any longer. And second he seemed to be having some problems with his character as well. Indigo tried to make sense of his situation but she couldn't find any valid explaination. For some reason it seemed everyone in the game had a problem; and not just a small one either.

"Um, well actually this isn't the "Lost Sheep" event. That occured a couple of days ago so...you already missed it." She said. She felt a little sad. "Oh and about your issue; you might want to consult a system administrator for that. Then again....they have their share of problems too..." She stayed quiet for a moment and glanced at Kamen. "If you stick with us, i'll get a system administrator to help you. We officialy know one of'em." She finished happily.

Tundra sized the newcomers up, something was definately amiss here, the player seemed nice enough, but something about him, it was probably his nerves acting up again. He wanted some assurance on this though so he leaned in next to Indigo and whispered "Indigo, are you sure about this? I'll go with what ever you decide, but something about this guy seems a little off to me. It might just be me, what do you think?" he finished with a side glance over to this Kamen person that really seemed to be confused about the odd weapons in his hand.

" Umm.. Okay. But what's this area's battle level? I don't really know. And also if you need anyone to heal you I'm the guy for the job. My friend who used to play The World taught me all his healing skills and stat skills. So I have like Phal Repth, Rip Maen, and Ap Vorv. And stuff like that."

Indigo heard Tundra's thoughts about the new player and pondered for a moment. Indeed there was something "off" about Kamen but she didn't feel like it would negatively impact them in any way. She nod her head and then smiled at Kamen before approaching him.
"We're going to need a healer." She replied. "The more of them we got, the more we can focus on the offensive."

Hmm...Once we're finished here, I'd like to talk to Clasko about her weapons and their problem. I hope he can do something. She thought.

" Alright then, where to?" He made sure that all his SP potions and scrolls were in check and turned to face the group.
" So what are we going to do?"

[The-Missing-Spade]

Before Indigo could reply, there was a blinking message appearing over her avatar. She felt a slight sense of tension as she accessed her mail and spotted a message just from the guy she was hoping to talk to. Apparently Clasko was requesting their presence over at Hidden Forbidden Hades. She didn't recall ever visiting such an area before. She assumed it was most probably a lost ground. She then closed the mail menu and turned to the others.

"I just received a message from Clasko. He wants us at Hidden Forbiden Hades right away." She said. "Lets hope it's good news, you guys." She looked over to Kamen who seemed bewildered about the entire thing.
"Sorry. Clasko is a friend of ours...and he is a System Admin for the game aswell. We should head over to our next destination so that you can show him your problem. He might be of some help."

Not wasting anymore time she used an item to teleport herself back to the entrence of the dungeon. Once everyone was there they left the area and head straight to Hidden Forbidden Hades.

Hidden Forbidden Hades//

Clasko stood silent, overlooking the floating castle in the distance and the water that rushed downwards. The breeze lifted the hair from his eyes and he breath in deeply. Fear had overwhelmed the majority of his body as he struggled to keep his hands from shaking. Earlier on his superior had notified him of an unknown object lurking just outside the outskirts of the games parameters. And it was heading towards a certain location. The frightening part of it was that it seemed to be composed purely of a virus commonly known as AIDA. But it was different. It was a mutated form of AIDA.

"It could pose a more lethal threat to the players than the black mass..." Clasko repeated in a whisper.
"How in the world did such a thing appear? It doesn't make any sense....and why is it coming towards the game? It can't be...not like before."

Suddenly, there were spirals of blue appearing behind him at once. Indigo and her friends had arrived. He turned slowly and watched them as they arrived. He then approached them.

"So...Whats going on? It is about Sauna?" Indigo asked.

"I'm afraid not. But it could be of some revelance.." He replied. "You see our detection device has spotted an anomaly heading directing towards the system. It's suspected to be a virus once known as AIDA- only this time it has mutated and grown perhaps more dangerous than before."

Indigo couldn't understand.
"What you mean? Whats AIDA?" She asked. "And, how is it revelant to Sauna?"

"AIDA is a virus that dissapeared from the game about a month ago. We identified several traces of the virus lurking just outside the system, but they were of no significant danger to the players. However, it seems that a much larger portion of the virus escaped into the outer network and...evolved. It's returning to the game and will most likely force it's way in a matter of 3 hours. My superior suspects that it is related to Sauna and the black mass. See this anomaly was first detected just moments after your last battle with the black mass. But it was lurking to far to be a threat...however just a couple of minutes ago it started getting closer, and at a very rapid pace."

Indigo remembered what Sauna had said before he vanished. He said that he had found a way back to [The World], and that he would notify them of what else to expect. She wondered if perhaps, the anomaly had somehow detected Sauna's presence. And it was he who it was after. A feeling of anxiety crept to her as she struggle to keep her composure.

"S-So what do we do?" She shouted. "We can't just do nothing. What if that thing is out there to get my little brother?"

"We can't be certain just yet. But until we receive some type of message from Sauna then all we can go is try to keep the anomaly at bay. However our most of our methods have already proved useless against it. None of them will be as affective unless it's close to the system."

Indigo stood with fear. She wondered what Sauna was doing."

Sauna stood in a tunnel of red data while cubes shoot across above him. He was heading towards the only place that could lead him back to [The World], but he knew something else was lurking near by. That same creature that induced him into the coma and trapt his conscious inside the game.

"Indigo...I'm coming home....I promise..."

Kyo: { walking around with everyone} * lets see I got this weapon and the word Burstdrive and the task to destroy Ccorp from the inside* GAH WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT MEAN! Jeez I was just a treasure hunter now how the hell did I get involved with this and now I have a weapon thats somehow alive! DAMN!!!!! why the hell do I have to destroy Ccorp from the inside! { he runs past the others and slams into clasko} Out of the way!

" Hey Kyo, I know we've just met and all but calm down. This isn't CC Corp's fault. Someone's planning a counter-attack on The World. You see, a month ago I heard this guy in The World at an area called Hidden Forbidden Graveyard."

I was looking at random areas and came across this area. When I warped in, I overheard this guy.

" Ok master, the next bug is in place. When is our next strike? Ok. I'll activate the bug as soon as someone warps into the area. We will finally be able to rule The World." " That's all I heard. Then some monster slashed me and the next thing that happened was that I was back in Lumina Cloth."
