Mary approached the house, opening the door without caring about if there might be a trap in the door. Standing in the living room were her parents. The place was covered in some dust, but not enough to show they had abandoned it all together. She remained, silent, looking at them with a serious expression. How long had it been since she had been in the same room as them? There was an uncomfortable silence, their weapons drawn.

"It looks like you've been avoiding us for far too long. For someone who should always tell the truth." Her father spoke, his gun cocked as he spoke. "Why can't you just tell use what Mark said that caused you to turn this way? You promised to protect something and can't trust us with it?" Mary said nothing, her guns still out.

"Why aren't you being honest with us? You were such a good child before this promise."

"Was Theodora a good child too?" Mary spoke, her mother's eyes narrowing. "To sell her off to the vampires like that."

"Wasn't that the name of your sister? The one that ran away and disappeared?" The father spoke, the mother beginning to sweat.

"You know where she is, don't you?" Mary spoke, taking a step forward with both guns cocked. "She's with Vlad now, and you can't use her because she has no knowledge. I know how you both work."

Xander stood to the side of the door with his arms crossed and his back to the wall, invisible to the people not even three feet away. Everybody's weapons seemed to still be in their hands or otherwise on their persons but were actually floating in the air around the psion. He considered a number of things, including showing her father what his wife had done, but Xander controlled himself. He would wait and watch Mary handle the situation, and make sure they didn't try anything.

"What is she talking about, Maria?" Mary's father looked confused and angry at the same time.

"How did he find out about it?! She was supposed to be devoured by the one..." Maria Donnely moved forward a step, away from her husband's gaze. "There was no way she would have been turned!"

"Mark just happened to find that vampire and get the story before he killed it." She knew her hands were sweaty, but if she moved or halted for a second... "She was groomed to be Vlad's wife. He made sure to remove any memory if she had as a five year old. It was rather easy for him to make her the person she was."

"Maria, is this true? Why would you sell your own sister?" The woman shot her gun at Mary, who expected to be hit in the leg.

"They were going to replace me! With that little wench who was so good at shikigami and..." She began to shoot all over the room, making it hard to tell who was shooting and where.

Xander chuckled quietly to himself as he watched the unarmed woman "fire" all over the room. Still, there was little reason to allow a mad woman to walk around swinging her arms wildly. The weapons shattered, the pieces clattered to the ground, but he made Mary believe her leg was injured, he didn't want to reveal anything to her family that he didn't have to, but Xander and the real weapons remained imperceptible. A projection of a weretigered out Melanie appeared behind Maria with a claw to her throat, a hand controlled her wrist, and his foot pinned her to the spot. "Calm yourself. We don't want someone to accidentally get hurt. Are you alright Donnely?" The projection used Xander's voice.

Maria struggled against whatever was holding her. Mary's father tackled her to the ground, slowly calming the woman down. She knew that this might be the end of their relationship. Still, she couldn't do more than inform them. She slowly nodded to Xander, seeming to be a bit exhausted from having let it out. She had held onto it for so long. So long that it was hard for her to get over she had said it when she had promised not to.

Raven: aaahhh daammit ( he pllops himself on his bed) dammit. Stupid nobility comment got me all confused sigh ( he lies down normally) why.....I really thought I looked poor enough though I'm usually not this worked up....sigh whatever traitor prince.....heh it certaintly has been awhile.....
( He falls asleep and he dreams of a dream that he hasent in a very long time)

With Mary's parents otherwise occupied the projection disappeared. "Shall we get going Donnely? Or do you want to spend some time with them?" Xander thought to Mary as her injury disappeared and he revealed his presence, and that of all of the floating weapons, to her.

Mary turned towards Xander, putting her guns back while her parents were preoccupied. 'I'm a bit tired, let's go. There's not much else I can do for them.' She walked out of the house and figured she'd go back to headquarters.

Zellos walks int his room and lays the tome down on the desk and like the nights before, begins attempting to open it What the hell is keeping it closed? He picks up a screwdriver and tries to jam it under the cover, as soon as it touches it is shot of of his hands and sticks into the wall "Crap! Not doing that again..." Just then, something in Zello's chest cracks, then again and he falls out of his chair onto the floor "Ow, damn... that healing stuff must be wearing off..." His leg twists in a gruesome angle and in sounds like a tree being broken in half "ARRRRRRGH..." Zellos passes out from pain

Raven: { lying down in a field except his eyes are emerald green and his hair is completely black their is no tinge of white like their is usually} wow things sure are peaceful here { he sits up straight as he looks out into the field he looks down his arm as he notices both of his arms are normal human arms}...wow it certainly has been awhile since I've seen this

Vlad's voice: your no longer human.....come with me...I saved your brother i wish to save you as well

{ the entire area turns to a barren wasteland}

Raven: AHH!!!! aggghh arrghh { a blood red aura engulfs his arm as he just starts walking}

Vlads voice: your different then the rest Raven....though you must realize it isnt an easy thing to live in the kingdom of the night

Raven: { he holds his arm as he keeps walking}

Mans voice: hey hey....your supposed to be the prince...man what happened to you...sheesh you look beat to hell...do you need some help?

Raven: aagghh!.... arrghh!!!!

different man's voice: think...THINK! how many lives have you taken hundreds thousands....the blood of those you have cut down infused your sword!

Girl: { runs over to raven} RAVEN! { she catches him as he's about to fall over though she fades to red dust}

Raven:................

man's voice: now all that vengence and hatred is in your arm!....

vampire voice voice: his body is slowly rejecting the vampirism if this continues he will change into nothing but a beast...the only option if for him to Drink the blood of a king...

vlad's voice: I'll do it..

Raven: ARRRGGHHH!!! AAAHH!!! { blood circles around him as it flows into his arm} AAHHH!!! { his arm slowly changes}

Girls voice: BROTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Raven: { Raven's eyes turn blood red as his fangs grow as soon as his claw finishes forming}

The other weapons settled to the floor softly when they left. "If you're tired, then should you not be headed to bed?" Xander looked towards Raven's. Seems like everybody could use some rest. Xander ordered a medic over to Zellos's. I hope Yukari doesn't run into Melanie before I see her again. She'll probably try to kill him.

They passed Melanie, the vampire popped the last bit of bone from his drumsticks in his mouth and wiped his hands clean with his handkerchief. That should tide me over, for the rest of the day at least, I suppose I should head to the place Prince Raven mentioned. The guild was it? After a moment to orient himself the butler started towards the guild.

Mary nodded, heading towards her apartment. "I'll be back in early tomorrow. Thank you for your help, Xander." She knew that he couldn't sleep in her apartment because of his ability. Still, he could stay for as long as he wanted. She sat down with the copy of the Snow Queen and Jack and the Beanstalk. She lay on the bed, holding the books slowly to her. Her expression seemed to be slightly pained, going into sleep .

Xander had Melanie directed to his office, and had him added to his case list. "Sleep well Donnely. You know how to reach me if you need me." He returned to his office and found Melanie waiting with a pot of tea. "Tea?" "Thank you, Mr. Butler. Please, have a seat and relax. I will cause you as little discomfort and pain as I can." "What are y-" The process took about as much time as an interview would and that's what he made sure they remembered, although it was far more thorough and Xander spent more time on Melanie than most. By the time they were through the tea had gone cold. "So, Melanie, do you want to join the guild of vampire hunters?" "No, I don't know. Is Raven a member?" "He is." "Then I shall join as well." "Ever the dutiful servant. I'll recommend you be put into service as his partner. If they accept my recommendation then you will be rooming near him, if not then the next time we see each other, I'll be killing you." "That's reassuring. How did you do that instant transport thing you did earlier?" "Can't say. Have a good night Melanie. There are accommodations for you on the tenth floor."

Melanie bowed and left. The floor went into lock down as soon as the vampire was gone and Xander sat on the couch, reading his copy of Through the Looking Glass by the light cast by the crystals. Xander was angry, mostly at himself, and he let his powers rage before he fell asleep. The floor above and the one below his suffered his wrath too, windows were shattered, chairs were overturned, and filing cabinets were flung through walls.

Raven: { he wakes up as he looks around his room and he sees his Claw} Tch! { he hits the wall}

announcement: Would the hunter Raven please report to master Crowley's quaters he has something important to discuss would the butler as well come join the meeting}

Raven:....pshh...I guess its time { he messes with his hair as he walks out of his room} * isnt crowley that weird top hat guy*....I don't like this

Melanie found himself having a hard time sleeping but his hunger was sated by an iced bottle of blood, Xander had had delivered to the room earlier. It had been an interesting experience. The information he got from it was confusing at first, but he soon realized that the blood was from several people who had "donated" the blood for the injured. The world has changed so much since I was last out and about. He heard the announcemnt, I suppose the butler comment is a reference to me. He straightened his clothes, made certain there was no trace of the blood, and made his way to the designated room. The butler inclined his head ever so slightly in greeting, "Good evening, Raven." and fell in step behind err next to the vampire.

Yukari barely paid the announcement any mind as she continued down to the lab area she'd been given to use for her Maintenance Bed and general repair. Due to her having no need to sleep, she'd spent much of the night walking and mapping the town into her memory banks, finishing the job that she'd first started until she met Xander those days ago. Though she had taken notice of Melanie's inhuman nature, Xander's previous order of 'Contact me before engaging questionable targets forced her to leave him be and make a note to contact Xander about it at first chance. She and Zorlo hadn't spoken much either, though he seemed somewhat content to just tag along and 'explore' with her for the most part. She could detect him somewhere nearby even now, though it concerned her not as she summoned in her Maintenance Bed to make some adjustments.

[Zorolo]

Zorlo materialized as he neared the base, much to his chagrin, and watched as Yukari walked off. He sighed and rested against the wall. Everyone else here was crazy... very, very crazy. WEll, at least it wasn't boring. Insanity was better than boredom, he guessed. For now, he would simply relax and think about what was to come. After all, how much stranger could things POSSIBLY get?

Crowley: ohhh yeah?....good thats nice I've been expecting you 2 come on in

Raven: * howd he notice Melanie was here?* { he walks into the office with melani

Crowley: Melanie is it?....I've never at the pleasure of meeting your aquiantance { he holds out his hand his face is smiling but something still seems ominous about this one} I'm glad you two are here we have important matters to discuss

"Correct." Melanie mirrored the smile and shook Crowley's hand. "A pleasure, I'm sure, my lord. What can this humble servant do for you?"

Crowley: well than the reason I have called you in...is because Raven....I want you to go to the Labryinth

Raven: you mean those ruins you had me investigate a few months ago....?

Crowley: yes...I can't help but feel we missed something please head out as soon as possible...I also suggest you meet with your merry band of followers to see if they can accompany you. it's dangerous right in vlads territory Melanie...can I trust you to look after Raven?
