Yes, it was only a party at Net Slum... Even the fact that he got there uninvited makes it suspicious...
Who says he wasn't invited? Even if he wasn't, he was able to access Morganna's domain after being there only once.

I just checked. It was in the Character Fan Book. I've got to start paying more attention when I skim through these things.

He didn't really seem like he was part of the big invited group...

He was working for her, she presumably granted him that power.

After reading the Staff Voice about Sophora, it seems that Sophora just talks like that, in small amounts of kanji, and only strange people like the CC staff member who "encountered" Sophora can understand them. It seems like a form of roleplay...

He was invited the first time in Sign, wasn't he? I don't see why he wouldn't be this time. I simply figured he was invited, but was wimping out of it because he felt everyone still hated him.

Plus the whole point of Tsukasa fulfilling his promise to be friends with Sora is kind've made moot if he's not the real Sora he made that promise to.

I agree with you Azure Wind, it´s ridiculous to think that a 7-8 year old girl can be the Guild Master of the biggest guild in "The World", and she would have became the strongest PK too...
Actually, it's not "ridiculous" at all. :/ Considering the fact that Wiseman was 10 during IMOQ and yet was such an informed character, or that Sakaki himself is only 10 and yet the (second?) most powerful member of Moon Tree, the use of age really has no foundation.

Though, I admit, I find it unlikely, too. xP

@m0D3g0N3: I believe you're referring to Yasuhiko, which is Orca's RL name.

But not the second time, I thought. Anyway, it is possible that Helba invited him because of his sacrifice at the end of SIGN. It is also possible that it's the AI that was in Net Slum in the first place. Ultimately, nothing is decided here, I guess.

It's not like Tsukasa really planned to be playing the game that much anyway, it was pretty clear that his logging on that day was sorta a special thing...

He still made a promise to Sora, and in Unison he remembered and fulfilled it. As a general anime rule, you can be bestest friends with someone and NEVER see them again.

It's been a while since I saw SIGN. When exactly was Tsukasa in a position to promise to be Sora's friend?

when sora helpe(?) tsukasa and aura escape morganna's area where aura was born, then sora got data drained by skeith.

sora asked tsukasa if they could be friends, right before tsukasa gated out,and tsukasa said yes to his question.

God sora's awsome.I used to idolize him.
He was young, but strong,in control9mostly0,awsome,and shifty in the coolest sense of the word, but had a good heart and loved to have fun...and get girls addresses, did I mention that?that's a big reason.

Well, he was a good person, in a childish way, he played "The World" for pure fun, while the others suffered by being PKed by him... in many ways, he was an anti-hero.

in his eyes, the adventure was no more than an anime he would have seen on TV,and he was playing the fuist part he could.
The truth is,he played a huge and in my opinion, one in the top 5 characters sized parts in the whole adventure, even in Kite's story(IMOQ)
Tsukasa respected sora immensly, and saw he was almost always kind towards him, which helped create Aura in the end.
When I think of sora now,I remember the words"Let's be friends,ok?"
I respect people who follow there hearts.
Like haseo,Alkaid,Kuhn and Ovan.Even Gabi.Hell, even bordaux follows what she wants, because to her it was just a game.

that's pretty much it. Sora and Tsukasa promised to be friends as they were escaping Morganna's Lair with Aura.

It's not only a rule of Anime, but a solid fact that you can be best friends without having to see each other all the time or at all.

That being said, I'd like to ask about the source of the who is who information. In the past wrong information has been told and placed with the source of .hack//ANALYSIS and some of it seemed to turn out wrong, or wrongfully translated.

Is this fan book released as part of the official .hack team's products or is it a fan book created by an outside source. Some fan books are created by a company that is merely putting together what they know or think they understand so does it have the .hack Conglomerant attached to it?

Personally I prefer if no official data is ever released that says 100% who is who. It seems more entertaining to figure it out yourself.

To my knowledge it isn't a 100% fact Elk is Endrance, yet using the information, I've come to the conclusion Endrance is Elk.

Now, to my main thought. Sora being Haseo makes no sense. Sure the ages might fit and there is the talk of him feeling nostalgic yet this is what I think:

Age fact: Might be a coincidence or there to mislead.

Skeith Data Drained him: Skeith did this to only a few players if you go by who fell into a coma which was a hand full of players I think. In any case it seems people are saying Haseo was Data Drained but didn't fall comatose, only having memory lose. Now this makes no sense. Sora was not Data Drained in my mind, he was infused into the staff. If you go by that, if Haseo was Data Drained by Skeith, he wasn't Sora since Sora was in the staff. Haseo had memory lose, Sora went into a coma. Sora came out of the coma with no memory lose as .hack//SIGN speicla episode "Unison" was canon.

Also it was said through the Terminal Disc that Sora left The World. If he started back up as Haseo that could make sense. He could have left The World and came back yet Haseo was a newbie. He didn't recall how the game worked. You could use the "Memory lose" card yet if I know anything about amnesia, memory is triggered through shocks or connections to the past.

If Haseo was Sora he would have felt a shock at being PKed, being Skeith, being Data Drained by Azure Kite perhaps.

In short, Haseo being Sora is a cluttered puzzle. Some pieces fit, others don't and it's my understanding that if pieces don't fit, they don't belong to the puzzle.

if you're talking about the book claiming that Haeo is Sora well to quote Kuukai after he investigated it, "If its a prank its a very elaborate one" which Im fairly sure means its an official source.

No everything seems to fit, but part of it is explained sloppily and vaguely in that Haseo who claims to have never played the world before (but found it familiar when he logged into R2) actually has no memory of Sora, the morganna incident, being data drained or The world in general. Its been noted that coma victims have had memory problems which have varied greatly. Sora who has been trapped in the world for months and and is also 9 years old, well it seems likely he'd have a rather extreme case of it. Also its not unlikely you could play a video game at 9 and not remember it when you're 16. This is the sloppy part of the claim though its clear from .hack//zero Sora when the trapped in the world and being used by Skeith was in a very upset mental state and in often put through a large ammount of pain by Skeith who he shared a body with and Aura who Skeith was using him to try and kill.

The rest that been established is-
If we named the coma victims one by one (data drained by Skeith we get: Sora, Orca, Kazu, Sieg. I think there were also two other Carl & Alph.
Haseo is 17 in G.U. so, we eliminate everyone older after 7 years. Orca is too old after 7 years, Sieg is Kuhn. Carl is a girl named Junka Nimura and also too old. Alph falls nder the same categories as Carl. So we eliminate them too. Kazu is 12-13 during the game, so he will be too older for Haseo.

Then, we have the last candidate: Sora.
He's predicted to be 9 or 10 years old when playing R:1. After 7 years, he will have the same age as Haseo. And the fact that he is the first person data-drained by Skeith. Its plain unlikely that in the limited number of skeith victims that even if there is any that arent known of they will
be 9 at the time of the morganna incident.
But in Jun's journal, Sora has stopped playing- Yes Sora quit the world and deleted his account during R.1. and c.c. corp/g.u. could not find him to make him an epitaph user.

When Skeith escaped into the system and Sora now playing as Haseo was present its actually very likely that Skeith would immeadiately attatch himself to him as Sora was actually imprisoned within Skeith and Skeith used Soras pc body at certain points unlike the rest of Skeiths victims.

Also Sora and Haseo are named after the same poet.

No, it says he became unconscious too, not sure how much that's been reiterated though. The source is based on information that CC2 feels is fit for release, so it's more or less official.

It was either stated explicitly or implied heavily that Haseo is an only child, I think. Either way it doesn't seem particularly more plausible.

Even if the person playing Sora forgot everything, surely the people around him would tell him what happened. Don't you think? Besides Kuukai your playing or have played vol. 2 & 3 right? Wouldn't you know for sure?
