I suppose since Aura is no where to be found (since shes omnipresent which be would near impossible to find) they want a new AI to be on par with her.

Actually, they decided that they needed a new AI after Aura's mysterious disappearence caused network damage at a global scale. It was then that they realised how important Aura was and how integral she was to the system.

There's nothing that says she definitely became omnipresent, she may not have disappeared of her own will.

The Avatars aren't AIDA, they're an entirely separate entity created by CC Corp in order to attempt to create the ultimate AI.

The fact that they were intentionally created by CC Corp means that they couldn't possibly be anomalies. They also don't exude the black substance synonymous with AIDA.

I totally agree. There is something ill at work here. It goes beyond Aida and i think Tri-edge is connected. We just have to wait for the 2nd and 3rd games to know more.

what if, atoli is and it's not shino?
i mean, what if, when shino was DD, some of the data ( the data from the white version, but not all of it) was moving out there in the network? later, when trying to create a char, the data from shino would end up at that very same char, modifying it? the caharacters would look alike, but the players would be different

oh, and i doubt that Elk is Endrance..... if so, Endrance would be a lot more humble that she really is... in the trailer she tells someone something like "how pathetic. you have no power"... to me, that doesnt sound like Elk at all

well, after losing Mia, a severe change in personality could have happened, but yeah, Elk's voice was all high-pitched, and i'm not sure, but wasn't his voice done by some girl? i know Kite's was. anyways, i haven't heard the english Endrance's voice, but from what i've heard in Japanese, its deeper, less whiney, and smoother...

We don't need "Data moving out there in the network" To explain why Atoli looks like Shino. Atoli just liked the same kind of character design as Shino, just like Tsukasa and Elk, Mimiru and Blackrose, Bear and Orca...

But sometimes doesnt loss make you angry, like if your bullied sometimes you become a bully... i think im not making any sense.

you're making plenty of sense. it is possible that endrance is Elk. very possible. Mia was attracted to, if not only to his personality, in .hack, along with Macha's multiple sightings after you beat Quarantine....well, multiple sightings in a single dungeon, but you end up bringing Mia back...so the temptress Avatar would already be attached to the personality. wouldn't it be possible that if he played the world again, the avatar would be attracted to him? i might be reading into this too much...

Generally stuff that appears in magazines of in the news of this site will be considered non-spoiler... As this is the de facto "unified theory of G.U." thread, it would be very difficult to mark all the information that hasn't been officially released in English with spoiler tags... In fact, it's impossible to come up with just about any theory based on the information that has been officially released, so that's why we do it this way...

Well, Haseo can definitely "control" Skeith to some extent... As long as he doesn't give in to his emotions, it's just a puppet--an extension of himself he controls with his will... You could argue it's still a puppet even when he gives in, but a darker side of his mind is controlling it...

Also, the relationship between "G.U." and "Project G.U." (the original, not Piroshi's) is uncertain... It doesn't seem like "revive Aura" is high on Yata's agenda... It's possible "G.U." is the result of some new plan by CC Corp, to just keep the game intact without getting greedy again... All I know is that Ovan's arm doesn't seem to be top priority anymore...

Kite isn't Megaman, Skeith was never in his body. Like Macha, and most other data in The World, Skeith's data wasn't "destroyed" per se, but just broken up and dispersed into the flow of data in The World. That's how it was recoverable.

It wasn't even out 6 years ago, don't worry ^^;;; Umm, it seems umlikely that's they are "fragments" or "copies", since the original phases are the Avatars, but "shadows" is a distinct possibility...

They pretty much say that Aura was an all-powerful goddess of the internet... And there's no real evidence that she didn't leave of her own will...

And I've actually kinda felt sorry for his avatar this who time, since he just uses it as a tool when it in fact is the friend he's heartbroken over... Well, the other obvious reason is his newly-discovered "charming" property (he has that huge base of fans like Saku for a reason). He also talks a lot more like Mia than like Elk, in my opinion. He's "grown up" to be more like the personality he loved so much...

It would make sense. I know that a large amount of my personality is gleaned from my friends and past-friends.

You know what? Forget everything in the "What do you want in Vol 2" Thread. What I want is for Endrance to realize what his Avatar really is and reconcile himself, and maybe become friends with it again. "Mia...you've been with me all along. I'm so....I'm so sorry, Mia!" The Avatar wordlessly brings a hand down to stroke his head, and he can tell she forgives him. Then fades back into his PC.

Growing up... Sooner or later the bird has to leave its nest, and the kid has to move out on his own. Maybe "The World"'s version of growing up is to function without interference of Aura. Maybe Project G.U. refers to a functioning game on its own, without and omnipresent force.

but some sort of control is needed. Having something without some sort of order not controlled by people is what brings balance. Tho I do like your theory of Growing Up Btw is it just me or does it seem strange that Altimit corp hasnt had any problems with the virus outbreak back before SIGN. It would be strange if one of AIDA or GU terms meant something related to Pluto's Kiss or another version of it about to re awaken again.

I think that would tear the world in peices no larger than snowflakes. If Puto's Kiss came again, I doubt the world would hold up.

wouldnt it be funny if the start of it were the incidents that happened in GU. Sort of like a forecoming of another disaster

It'd also be pretty stupid.

As for whoever mentioned the World leaving the nest thing, I agree, but I think Aura's the one growing up, since she left the World to "Become something more." My theory is that Aura left to continue evolving, and now the Throne of God is open so someone else can follow her footsteps.

Sorry for going off topic here, but I got kind of lost so um what is the Throne of God??
