hello, first of all, i wanted to thank u guys for this project, u gave me the hope back ^^, i may be useless on this matter but i TOTALLY SUPPORT this project =P every single day i check this topic (even if i know that u dont post everyday) thx again and keep us posted ;P (at ur own time)

Thanks for this project and hope everything goes well. I would like to help but i have no knowegde of how this works and i don't know any japanese. What do you find fun in doing this project???

Taking another look at the localization situation, I think we'll try to get the video version up soon. I'll talk to Zer0 about it...

I registered just now because I found the link to this page on youtube.

I just want you guys to know that I definitely support this. I really hope knowing that more people keep finding this that it fuels you to keep going with the translation because I'm afraid we will never see it otherwise.

sup... I am not dead, cubeville really made me want to blow my head off for the last month so my productivity has been at an all time low, but now my level of apathy is at an all time high, the patcher at this point is almost done, I just need to add some error handling and handlers for the files in the str folder.

@Kuukai I will try to get you some info on the private svn server when I get everything fixed up. I hope to have stuff online for you by the end of the long weekend.

Putting my Japanese to use, enjoying the story over and over (I never would have done this if I didn't already keep replaying the cutscenes). Still, it's a lot of work, if an official release was announced I'd have no problem leaving it to them...

I am confused by this, because during the opening training sequence he is there, then we go to a flashback where he gets frozen 2 days earlier. How is he in the training scene?

Essentially I don't know, I assume he would get thawed at some point.

Oh I guess it was less clear with the patch than I thought it was. The training was in Tokio's mind, it was part of the data drain. Does anyone really need to ask if Kite comes back? ^^; He comes back twice... PCs named Kite come back four times. Five if you expand to things that *look* like Kite. This is a game where there are two characters controlled by Balmung and another one that looks like him... They have both Midoris. They have W.B. Yeats. Yeah they have Kite.

I don't know what my favorite .hack is, but I'm partial to Pi, Yata, Alph, and Fluegel. Also Klarinette. I'm bad at favorite things...

Kuukai, you mean the part where we probably should do iterative patches?

I agree maybe a full patch is not something we should strive for right away and if we get C&D'ed so what at least we had fun and people got part of the story. It might also fuel the flames to pressure the official translation.
