"Th-thank you. Um uh, you look" "Beautiful, lovely, ravishing ." Morgan purred helpfully. "good." Maes finally stammered out. Several quiet seconds later. Awkward silence is awkward. Bored now. Morgan switched with Maes, placed a hand on either of Cecile's shoulders and kissed her, he switched back mid kiss. Maes blushed deep crimson the instant he was in control of his body again and pulled away. "MORGAN!" "Can't hear you, sleeping." I don't know what you're freaking about. I could smell the desire on you.[/b] She just-That was my-today is not-not cool! "I didn't-Morgan just-sorry. " Maes said and looked away anticipating a slap or her to run away or something.

Cecile felt herself blush, unsure of how to react. More so because a kiss like that was not something she normally did with anyone but those close to her. She slowly moved her feet back. "W-Why would Morgan think of doing something like that?" She knew that the thought itself was strange. Her body moved to the closest chair and sat down in it. "I'm not sure what your intentions are regarding that, but... You know..." Her mind thought to the man who had died that day. 'It's not so simple to suddenly rebound, even if it may be possible. What is it that you're trying to do, Maes?'

Intentions? I don't have any intentions."I-I don't know. He just did it." "Oh so many reasons. Here, let me talk to her. I promise I won't do anything but speak." Maes sat down against the far wall with his head against his knees for several seconds before he agreed and they switched.

Morgan, in Maes body, stood, draped the coat on a chair, took it and sat the chair directly in front of Cecile, and sat in it so that he was facing her from over the chair's back and began in his British accent, "You ask why I would do something." He cocked his head to the side, "What is it that you think motivates me, little human girl?" He sat up straight and tall, "I am always direct and apparent with my intentions unlike your kind. I could tell that Maes is attracted to you, even if he's unfamiliar with the concept himself, and you are no longer beholden to that other human, so I decided to help Maes express himself to you before any of you get killed as you are likely to do much sooner than any expect."
"Morgan," Maes purred from inside the feline body, "when you lose someone you're close to it makes you sad. You don't want to-""So what!" Morgan snapped at him before he turned back to Cecile. "He's dead and gone, but you're still here. Being depressed won't change that he's dead." "Morgan, that's enough. Getting over stuff like that takes time." Morgan looked at Maes then around the room and commented, "So I've noticed. Humans are exhausting, I'm going back to sleep." And they switched back.

As Maes resumed control of his body, he sagged back down into the chair. "Sorry, Cecile, I shouldn't have let him say all that." The boy retreated back to the floor of a corner in the room and buried his head in his knees again. He subconsciously began to draw out all of the room's warmth. To Cecile's eyes she could see a soft white glow coming from his scars. "You couldn't have really stopped me." Morgan purred as he stretched out on the counter his fur helping him to ignore the sudden chill.

'I know it's hard to heal wounds.' She moved up from the chair and walked towards the corner slowly. She knelt down and brought her arms around Maes slowly. "Thank you for coming to help me, Maes." She spoke, her arms only loosely around him. "I'm glad you and Morgan came with everyone to help me when I needed it the most."

"He didn't really have a choice," Zorlo interjected as he stood against the door and looked in on the two. "After all, nothing was going to stop me from dragging him except his driver." The green-haired man smirked as he drew their attention. "You kids should learn to be quieter. I had to chase off a few people trying to listen in. Any who, good show, Maes. I was just coming to tell you that I'm thinking of convincing the Resident to hold a party for you sometime tonight or tomorrow. You two and Claire talk it over and contact me. It isn't that hard," the man stated as he turned around and looked at Elsa. "I shall be on my way home. If you want, you can come with me... but I'm planning on walking. Its a nice night tonight."

When Cecile touched Maes his fingers dug into his knees and a breeze pushed out from him, carrying the accumulated excess heat with it. "Well, as benevolent as I am. What else could I do?" The cat purred, supremely pleased with himself. Maes smiled at Morgan's comment, placed one of his hands on Cecile's, and took a long deep calming breath through his nose and the winds died down.

Maes let go of Cecile's hand at Zorlo's comment; once he had said his piece Maes flicked a finger and the door shut. He replaced his hand on her's and said, "I wish I had done more. I got there, but then I just had a panic attack, and woke up at Zorlo's apartment."

"As long as we aren't going to run into anything attacking, I can handle a walk." Elsa hoped that she could somehow retrieve what was left of her clothing and personal affects from her apartment before she cancelled it. It wasn't like she could just leave it as it was considering someone might come snooping from work. Looking at Maes and Cecile, part of her felt like they were used to being in abnormal situations. Perhaps she was a bit jealous of how easily they handled being so abnormal.

Cecile relaxed a little, managing to glare at Zorlo lightly until he left. "I couldn't do anything to save him with whatever that angel did." She spoke, her hand holding his slightly tighter than before. "You did help save whatever you could, even if you don't remember." She felt her hand loosening a little. "Should we go to Claire and figure out what we're going to do regarding living arrangements?" She felt tired as she realized it was the first time in a long while that she had no real idea what the future held at this point.

Maes waited several seconds before nodding. "Ok." "You should have her come live with us in the guest room. I'd be happy to help you advance your relationship with her." Morgan offered happily as he rolled onto his feet and the other two got moving. "Don't forget the roses." Maes paused for a second at Morgan's comment. He'd definitely like the first part, the second part though...

"Hey there. You kids have fun?" Claire avoided all of the heavy traffic by driving over the curbs. "Cecile, am I dropping you off somewhere or are you going to hang out at the house for a while?"

Zorlo looked at Elsa. Something seemed to be bothering her, and her response was... almost too natural. The green-haired man crossed his arms as he smiled at her. "Is something the matter?" he asked her with a quirk of his eyebrow. "I mean, you look like you've got a lot on your mind. If you don't want me around, I can understand and I'll just escort you to wherever you're going and be on my way," he stated with a sigh as he looked at the ceiling, and then the sky. "But a direction for now is a good idea."

Cecile looked at Maes, her eyes softening as she leaned back. "I'm going to leave it to Maes for that decision. I feel it's his right to choose." She felt her mind start to lose a bit to exhaustion.

----

"Maes and Cecile are really rather calm about the whole situation." She spoke, her hands at her sides. "I still want to be able to live a normal life and it's still hard to accept it all." She wasn't sure if she should even approach her own apartment.

"THey aren't calm about it... they're just trying to make it through," Zorlo stated as he held his hand out to her. "And you can try to live a normal life. We can all try to live a normal life... we just need to start somewhere. So, where should we start trying to help you find a new normal life?" he asked her with a smile in all seriousness. He elected against telling her the increasingly short length of his life.

((Maes is calm about it, well in comparison to how he normally is. One panic is as good as any other.))
"It's your life. You have the right to decide for yourself." Maes muttered even more softly than usual. Oh for the love of Me. Morgan hijacked Maes's mouth, "Home, James." "O-k." Claire stated uncertainly. Maes is finally talking and he's using a British accent. British!

Morgan, why do you keep doing that? It's for your benefit, and hers, but most importantly mine. I'm hungry. Maes smiled as he leaned back into his seat and watched Cecile. Honestly he had wanted her to come over, but saying that or deciding for her both seemed quite impossible. All of the magic he had been unconsciously using that evening finally set in and he dozed off somewhere around the third block. Claire glanced at Maes in the mirror and grinned. Well, whatever. I suppose I can forgive the accent, he is finally getting past that mental block of his.

Cecile's eyes were closed by the time the car stopped, her breathing evening out. Her body seemed comfortable, a smile on her face.

----

"Perhaps getting some things from my apartment." Elsa's gaze seemed to relax as she started walking. "Is there anything left in yours that you need to retrieve?" She wasn't sure if they could move them just by walking, but hoped she could probably use a suit case.

Zorlo stared at Elsa before shaking his head. "My apartment was smashed by a fallen that attacked it while I was gone and Allraine was away. Sadly, everything was completely destroyed. That's why I'm moving in the first place," the green-haired man stated with a nod. "I'll help you bring what you need so you can start moving along," he stated with a smile. "I can't offer much, but I can offer you that."

Claire looked at the two sleeping faces in the back of the car. "Kids so unconcerned for the trouble they cause others." She looked over at Morgan, "Cats too." Claire carried all three of them inside and tucked the two humans into bed. Maes in his and Claire in the guestroom's. Morgan was the only one to wake up and that was only because he wanted to pester Claire for food. "They don't pay me enough." She complained as she fed him. And then Claire activated the security system, left, and called the senior Schrodingers so that when they did eventually get home they wouldn't freak out when they got home and found Goldilocks in the house.

As Zorlo and Elsa were walking, a car pulled up next to the pair and honked once. "Hey, you two love birds want a lift?" Allrainne asked after rolling down a window to let them see herself & her sister, whom smiled and waved at the two. For Allrainne & Arianna, after looking around a bit and realizing that they'd seemed to have missed everyone in the Crowd, they decided to drive back to the apartment building to wait for everyone. "By the way, you two seen Maes?"

"He's probably heading home, perhaps?" Elsa offered, looking a bit confused on why they were asking at the moment. "I'm getting what I can from my apartment before I have to cancel it." She hoped that it made sense to tell them, given her circumstances. Still, the two were somewhat used to abnormalities it seemed.

"And I'm coming with her in hopes that, should anything happen, gods forbid, I can deal with that bull crap," Zorlo stated as he nodded his head. "Still, I feel like walking. Its a nice night for a walk," he stated as he grinned. Still, something felt off...

~~~
Elsewhere in the town, a man pushed through the ruins of the apartment. "He WAS here at one point. SOmething... destroyed this room. Magic... and the smell of fallen. Sickening, sickening indeed. Still... it wasn't Zorlo's powers... that smell is totally different... this one is... someone else."
The man adjusted his monocle and brushed his short, purple hair back as he looked at the woman behind him. "What should we do next?"
The woman with stark, silver hair shrugged. Her long, flowing braids and glowing, golden eyes betrayed nothing. Shimmering, white armor covered her body and half of a mask rested open on each side of her face. "Cainus, I trust you can still follow them. Continue searching," the woman said.
The man with the monocle adjusted his robe and kneeled back down as he began to smell again.
"I'm bored," a small girl with dark blue hair stated as she pouted. "When are we gonna find brother? I want to fry him!" she stated in annoyance as she crossed her arms and sat down.
The woman in white armor turned towards the small girl in a blue dress and shrugged. "We'll find him soon... Cainus ALWAYS finds his mark."
"Walking sounds like a good plan, though, it would help to have a car to move some of the things." She knew it would be strange to bring a lot of people to her apartment, so perhaps they should just walk.
"As I've said, miss Elsa, it is up to you. If you wish to ride with the nice ladies, I shan't disagree with your choice. I just need to walk... the air is helping me clear my head," he told her with a smile as he patted her on the shoulder and started walking. "Should I not see you ladies tonight, have a good one. I shall, with hope, see you tomorrow then," he stated as he put his hands into his pockets and began to sing quietly to himself. The cold air was refreshing on a night like this. It helped one clear their head and regain some composure...
