Fallout: Road to California(Feel free to join)

[Kaori]

"That was great but don't get cocky" said Alyx, she then motioned for the others to follow.

The group was clearing out buildings and alleyways of Trogs, they haven't suffered any losses thankfully, the others were armed with regular firearms and some had crude melee weapons, Alyx was the only one who carried an energy weapon, however, she was using her sword to save up on ammo, as they were clearing Trogs, she bumped into Zorlo, "Oh, it's you again, how goes the trog slaying?" she asked.

[Zorolo]

"Boring, they are too easy to read," he stated as he moved into their group and began to slash. His sword became like flashes of light as a number of trogs who had surrounded him into pieces. "So long as I can see their eyes, I can predict their moves," the green-haired man said as he turned and lobbed his sword into the abdomen of a trog who was now pinned to a wall.

[Kaori]

"You should've been around during the Brotherhood-Outcast Civil War, I was only a scout at the time, but I fought for the Brotherhood, we were victorious, but I lost some friends during the war, still, it was more exciting than killing Trogs, especially since I have power armor." said Alyx, "So, what brought you to join our Expedition?" she asked.

[Zorolo]

"I don't know yet," Zorlo stated as he thrust his palmed and snapped the Trog's neck. With a quick movement, he removed his sword from the creature's chest and let the blood drip onto the ground. "I felt a calling. Its something I haven't figure out how to control," he stated as he placed his sword along his back. "But I do know I feel it here… the eyes of the war god watching us. Battle isn't far behind."

[Kaori]

"I don't recall any Religion in the pre-war era having a war god, don't tell me you worship bombs as well?" wailed Alyx, She had met many nutjobs in the Wasteland who claim to worship "Divine" beings, from the church of atom in Megaton who worshiped a nuclear bomb, to the feral ghoul cultists in the Dunwich building who worship an eerie monolith, She was tolerant of Religions that don't involve worshiping crazed deities, dipping people into FEV vats, or god forbid human sacrifice. she had heard of organizations like the followers of the apocalypse who follow christianity, and the Mormon's in New Canaan, she wondered why can't religions be like them.

[Zorolo]

"Not bombs, no. A man clad in a suit of spiked iron," the man stated with a nod. "He appeared to me in a dream it feels like forever ago. And he hasn't returned. Probably just a fever dream… but when he appeared to me," the man said as stones floated up near his hand, "but I felt oddly more aware of things when it happened. Unlike the crazies or the Old religions of the world, mine only has me. When I die, so does he," Zorlo stated with a nod.

[Kaori]

"Are you sure it wasn't just somebody wearing metal armor? Those things have spikes on them" said Alyx, as the two continued to walk among the ruins of the Pitt, Alyx was an Atheist, no matter what people say, to her, there was no divine being up there, although her mother's Journal mentioned Aliens, the proof being that all the Alien Weapons her mother got were turned over to the Brotherhood for research, in fact, her Power armor was powered by alien energy cells instead of the the standard microfusion cell, meaning Alyx never has to worry about running out of energy for a long time.

[Zorolo]

"It might have been. That doesn't explain the development of mind powers," he stated. "Or maybe those are just hallucinations and I'm actually dead. That's the other way I've always looked at it," he admitted to her with a chuckle as he walked a few paces behind her. "Although if I am dead, you and that other gentlemen back at your base are as well, as you can perceive me," he stated as he sheathed his sword along his back and smiled at her. "Zorlo is my name. Honor to meet you."

"Maybe it's the radiation, the Chicago Chapter of the Brotherhood encountered Tribals who had mental links to mutated animals, do me a favor and don't mention 'Powers' around the Brotherhood unless you wanna get shot, The Brotherhood is not tolerant of Mutants, Raiders, Crazy Religions that involve killing or mutating people and Cannibals" said Alyx, "I'll see you back at camp." said Alyx she then left him for the camp.

[Zorolo]

Zorlo extended his fingers and stepped back. He leapt onto a nearby rock and drifted away from the group. He'd take some time to get some air and keep an eye open. The woman was right. He had to be careful. After all, few people enjoyed his fight to find purpose. For now, he'd continue to follow their group for now in search of a new world to explore.

[Kaori]

Alyx went back to her room to rest, she took out her mother's journal to read on psychic abilities; "The manifestation of Psychic abilities in people are quite rare, they'd have to be exposed to certain levels of radiation for a long time, but those people are very rare, according to the Brotherhood, the Midwestern Chapter of the Brotherhood encountered Tribals who could control Mutated animals, they theorize that their consumption of irradiated human flesh, combined with exposure to certain levels of radiation are the cause." After reading that, she grabbed her Plasma Rifle and headed off.

Zorlo was still slaying Trogs, until Alyx snuck behind him and pointed her Plasma Rifle on him, "Two minutes to answer, do you eat human flesh?" she asked in a stern tone, people in power armor stepped out from behind the shadows to reveal Brotherhood Paladins with Laser and Plasma weapons, "We need to know mutant! If you are a threat to us, we'll have to put you down!" said a Paladin in Advanced Power Armor Mark II.

[Zorolo]

"No, I'm not so savage as to have feasted on the dead. Like I told you, I had a vision that brought to me my powers," he stated as some rocks spun around his hand. "I'd like to not use my powers, though," he stated as he pulled his sword from a trog. "Mostly since I'm bored from fighting these things," he acknowledge with a shrug.

[Kaori]

"Fine, but we're putting you under Vance" said the Paladin, Under Alyx's helmet she scowled, "Senior Paladin Casdin, you can't be serious!" said Alyx, "Fraid not, good luck Vance" said Casdin as he and the other Paladins left her alone with Zorlo.

[Zorolo]

He stared at her. "So, now that they see me, I'm a prisoner. How nice," he stated with a laugh. "NOw then, what shall we do?" he asked. As the two stood quietly, he looked at the sky and then at her again. After that, he rose and cracked his neck and sighed. "I'm gonna go take a walk. That sounds like fun," he stated with a smile.

[Kaori]

"Well, I'll just see you at camp, goodnight." said a tired Alyx, she had no intention with spending the rest of her night hunting Trogs.

[Zorolo]

Zorlo slept atop a high cliff as he rested. The green-haired man waited until he morning came to rise and look over the camp. They were on the move and quickly moved to blend back into the group. Well, things sure were getting interesting now.

[Kaori]

The Expedition continued its journey past the Pitt, Alyx stayed near the ammunition cart, it was gonna be a long day.

*Moments later, at a rest stop*
The Expedition arrived at a small town by nightfall and took rest there, they traded supplies and information with the locals, and found out a battle erupted in the Mojave between Caesars Legion, and the New California Republic, the NCR ultimately won and now have dominion over the Mojave, the Expedition leaders discussed about whether to pass through the Mojave or not, considering the friction between the Brotherhood and the NCR, Alyx in the meanwhile, sat in a cart reading her mother's journal.

It hadn't taken him long, and their lack of concern, to drop out of their sights and follow at a distance. Everything the group did was perplexing to him. In fact, Zorlo had grabbed a notebook to take notes on the others. This was fun, though. After all, from the looks of things, their adventure was finally picking up. "Ooh, this is going to be good, I can feel it!"

((I'm gonna skip ahead to the Midwest Arc.))

It was a month when the Expedition left the Capital Wasteland when they finally arrive in Chicago, the mercenaries and fortune hunters lost some of their numbers to Raiders and other horrors of the wastes, but the Expedition managed to recruit others along the way, as well as liberate a few villages from Raiders, as they approached the outskirts of Chicago,to their surprise, they saw a car heading towards them, as soon as parked, they saw it had the Emblem of the Brotherhood of Steel, the Brotherhood members who came out of it, told the expedition they were expecting them, they were then led to the main bunker of the entire Midwest Chapter, the Expedition leaders went on to talk to the elders of the Chapter, the rest were free to use the amenities of the Bunker, Alyx, being tired of sleeping in a Brahmin cart, went to take a nap in the bunk beds, she removed her power armor before doing so though, lest she destroy the bed.

[Zorolo]

It was different. These people greeted each other like allies. He supposed that's what these organizations did though. His eyes flashed across the landscape and skimmed their ambient thoughts. Many of these people knew nothing BUT fighting… and Zorlo wasn't any different. Still, as he sat on the rocky outcrop that overlooked the city, he pondered much to himself. He would descend soon and figure it all out, perhaps.
