A coin flew threw the air. Nothing special, a filthy street penny. Sora had flipped it in Windrunner's direction, and the young man vanished in a flash of light. It was brief as to not distract either her or Sora. The coin landed in her hand, and Sora's voice broke the eerie silence. "If you wish to join me, you must answer three questions. After that, I will observe your power and determine your role. Nike recognizes those with power. She says you contain power, but she will not tell me what it is."
"With that in mind, to whom does that penny you hold belong?"

"No... I can't say she ever has possessed or controlled me..." She closed her eyes, and in the field that was her mind, she stood alone with Anthea.
"Is what Yuki said possible?" Lilly asked the fairy goddess, floating as though she were swimming in the air, her feet fluttering as though they were kicking. "I could, should I have cared to, but it weakens our bond. It's possible that some gods might want a meatsuit however. I've met a few throughout my different hosts. They are usually evil, however one was a god of law, and his host a thief. He possessed his host to bring himself to justice." Anthea floated down to Lilly and held Lilly's face in her hands. "I on the otherhand would never dream of possessing one so similar to myself."
Lilly's eyes opened almost as suddenly as she had closed them. "She says she wouldn't."

Cait looks down at the penny in her hand and back to Sora, a smug smile forming on her lips. She flips the coin, the metallic 'ching' echoing about the empty room, her eyes blazing into Sora's, and catches it midair without looking. "Well, it's mine, now," she states with confident moxie.

Isaac scuffed a toe, becoming rather jealous. It would be wonderful for him to have his freedom- to soar through the air without fear that he'll bring a storm of death wherever he goes. Feeling suddenly very alone in this world, he looked to Lilly once more and, his voice quiet and filled with melancholy, told her, "It's getting late." Playing tough, he added. "I should really get home to my family."
He turned away from her, away down the street, turning a corner into an alley... a breeze blew by, catching his sleeves, but he wasn't going anywhere.

Sora broke out into a chilling laughter, grabbing hold of his face, "No one, in all the times I have administered this test, has ever given me such a confident response as yours." Sora sat upright, not fully attentive of the girl before him. He pondered his next question for a moment, and then his voice creeked out slowly. "Do you plan on eliminating everything and everyone for the goal of a new world?" His voice and demeanor dropped as he stood from his throne, his presence taking full leap, and seizing the entire world it seemed. "Including me?"

Cait perked slightly at his change in tone, and held her eyes on him with careful scrutiny. Despite her skills in reading others, he was near impossible to. Calculating, she felt she should simply be honest.
Her hard gaze returned to the coin. "I guess it would depend on whether I feel you're fit to live in the new world, when the time comes." She flipped the coin, the cling reverberating around the room, cutting through the tense atmosphere like a knife, and it spun in the air, glinting with an unnatural light as it hit the apex. The simple coin fell in her open hand and she observed it as she said. "However, I believe that we shall succeed without having to come to blows. At least, it seems that's what fate has in store for you- at least for now. However, she is a fickle creature." She curled her hand around the penny and looked up at Sora with a smile. "Does that answer your question sufficiently?"

A silent moment passes, and Isaac covers his mouth with his hands, shamed. "I've said too much." And he turned to run. And he continued to run without looking back.

His face turns into one of a man lost in thought, and with a smile, he turns to face Windrunner.. He leans in close and drops his head. A small mutterance accompanied by a laugh. "You really think so? Nike, that's so boring!" Sora wipes the tears from his eyes and straightens up. "My other half wants to know, what is your greatest desire?" Sora asks, still rubbing his swollen eyes.

Cait absorbed the full spectrum of his question, which was thick with more then just words. She holds up the coin in her hand, staring into it intently like the answer rests in the gleam of the simple coin. However, she already knew the answer. But it was so simple. Would it satisfy this man, and bring her closer to her true goal? Or would he laugh at her attempt and send her away, causing her to have to start from square one all over again?
Another consciousness brushed her own, and in her head she could see the goddess's silent and knowing smile. Without further hesitation, she stated plainly;
"I want what everyone wants. I want to see how far I can make it in this life. I aspire..." her voice was getting quieter, "to godhood."
She looked up at Sora, her eyes dark with the weight of her wish.

Ysera walked through the dark, twisting nether between dreams, touching each one along her way, bringing a small light to each. However, every once in a while, she would come across a dream so tainted by fear that even she couldn't touch them. And such dreams were becoming more and more frequent.
She glided through space, her light spreading slowly in her wake. Time didn't matter here, so she drifted on seemingly endlessly, granting sweet dreams along the way.

Isaac removed his hood as he approached the building that served as his home. Though the street was lined with identical structures, the entire neighborhood remained empty. For what reason, Isaac didn't know, but if he was going to be alone regardless of where he went, he might as well live somewhere devoid of people.
As he crossed the threshold, he shoulders slumped with fatigue. It had been a difficult day. He walked across the bare room and into another leading off to the side. In there, there lay a simple mattress in the center of the room, and a small pile of clothes he had managed to collect in his size piled up on top of it, along with a small torn blanket.
He allowed his body to fall onto the mattress, and was quickly in deep sleep.

As Ysera moved, something caught her eye. A newly formed dream. She glided toward it, about to place her hand on it- But it bubbled with sinister purple clouds that stung her fingers as she touched it.
This one's mine, wrench. A dark voice filled her head. The voice of another god.
She glowered at the mass, but it's hold was so strong on the dream that she couldn't hope to save it. At least, not in this spectral form. She'd made up her mind. Now was the time to act. She abhorred the idea of tampering with the lives of mortals, but it seemed that it wasn't a philosophy shared by the other gods. But where to find a suitable host?

"You have passed." Windrunner heard her own voice ring in her ears. A flash of light and she was surrounded by three perfect doppelgangers. Their clothes, their voices, the coin in each hand was the same. "I really hate that you make me play these games..." The second fake Windrunner spoke. "I'm your superior, Sora's rules say you have to do as I say." The first fake responded. The third looked toward the three she saw before her. "Your friend passed. I like her." She flipped the coin, and as it fell to the ground it disappeared. "No fair! You know I can't have faked things make contact like that!" "Your game is stupid, Sora's sick of it as well." "I have never once said that, the whimsy Abel has makes him invaluable Mary." The third fake Windrunner snapped her fingers and the two other bowed before her. "Give her as she needs. I'm busy."

The young man clicked it open and turned the briefcase toward her. Inside was a mobile phone and a credit or debit card. The man smiled, "Now, before I go, I must explain. These are on the expense of Sky. Their uses are unlimited, but of course they are monitored by Sora." The young man pointed toward the card. "Sora demands that we dress well, and expects us to redo out entire wardrobe to one more... regal." The man pointed toward his tie pin. "Like I don't know what these are, but Mary said I should get something. She also made me get... cuff links?" The young man looked at the card and withdrew his hand. "Any questions?"

His shoes were laceless, but still very formal. He rummaged her person for the key, and once having acquired it, turned to her garden. He unlocked the gate and entered the garden.
The man was mad, he ran through the garden, uprooting plants and stomping on sprouts. Within moments the paradise that was once there was nothing more than dirt and scattered leaves and petals. "Nothing is better than destroying someone's dreams." A lighter burned before his hands, and his last sin was to burn the remains of the garden.

His shoes were laceless, but still very formal. He rummaged her person for the key, and once having acquired it, turned to her garden. He unlocked the gate and entered the garden.

Ysera stopped and glared angrily at the anomaly, but she couldn't do anything. Cursing, she rushed through the nether.

In his head, a battle raged. Her hair fanned out and glistening like stars, Ysera sent a bolt of gold at the rival god. Pluto, in turn, lashed out with icy claws. However, in this dream land, Ysera had the advantage.
The dream goddess smiled, revealing sharpened teeth. Her body elongated, her skin bursting into tough scales. Sinewy wings sprouted from her back. Golden horns and the vicious guise of a green dragon replaced the woman who had been standing there not minutes ago.
Pluto recoiled. He had never before encountered the dream goddess. However, he wasn't about to give up this puppet of a host. Reaching out again, he attempted to get an attack in during her transformation.
However, his movement in this state seemed slow, like he was punching through water.
Pluto, I expected better from the god of ice and death. Ysera's massive jaws clamped on the demon mage's outstretched arm like it was no more than a chicken leg. With a grit of her teeth, she tore the limb from the god's body. Pluto howled in pain. Now leave here. This host is mine now.
But Pluto had other tricks up his sleeve. Throwing up his remaining hand, he spoke in a gutteral language of the underworld, and a lance of ice pierced at the dragon.
Ysera snorted a laugh, smoke spewing from her nostrils. You think your ice tricks can harm me? Fool! She opened her maw, loosing a torrent of green fire at the god of ice. When she stopped, nothing remained but a shadow. A remnant. Pft. If that's what I'm up against, I should've just taken a host sooner and ended this long ago.
She returned to her human state, and turned to the core of the boy's consciousness. It was light once more, calm. She felt bad for what she'd have to do now. Forgive me, child. She told him, and let herself become one with him.

Isaac woke with a start, not quite sure why. Without conscious effort, he jumped off his mattress, and ran outside. After some minutes, he realized...
He was running to Lilly's garden.

Cait picked up the card and phone, smiling slightly. She already knew the famous brands- but none of them seemed "regal" enough to satisfy her. She looked up at young man who was with her, smiling charmingly.
"Well, surely you know Sora's taste better than I do. Perhaps..." she paused, breathing, upping the seduction value. "I could model for you?"
