Kale took a half step back when he realized where the reaper was going, but stopped when he realized her destination. He caught a piece of shrapnel from the demolished railing. It was weird, falling rocks okay he could understand how he knew where those were going to be, sort of, but it had never worked that well when people were concerned before. Maybe it's the particulars of her ability or maybe it's because I've been watching them fight. I should probably go. He didn't leave. I should definitely go. He put his foot back where it had been before. This is a terrible idea. Maybe if I had popcorn I could justify this, but I don't so I'm just going to start running. Kale moved up to the railing for a better view and tossed the piece aside.

Arielinna looked down at the fallen Zorlo a moment, seeing the green burst and blood run as he hit the ground. She smiled again and, before gravity could fully reassert itself, Shifted again to a nearby column, then to the floor to Shift at Zorlo. With a spinning scythe in hand she came forward with a powerful, underhand slash. The blade seemed to waver and using his blades, Zorlo just blocked the slash turned Kamaitachi that forcefully slid him along the floor to hit the base of the fountain. With a giggle, Arielinna spun the exotic weapon around herself a moment and what came next was probably the most surprising of all. She laughed. Though under-toned with a touch of insanity, it was a sound a sane person would make. Her eyes still bore their dead, blank look, but they seemed less ...empty...? "Green man, you're kinda fun..." she said suddenly with her characteristic giggle.

Zorlo smiled at her as he stood up and cracked his neck while he spun his swords. They were both slightly cracked from the impact, but they would work for now. He spun the two swords again before sighing and sheathing them. Actually, it was a better idea not to use them and simply make a new pair. ALl he really needed were the hilts to set new blades in.

"I'm even more fun when weapons aren't involved," he told her with a smile as his arm blade swung back into place as he stood up and rested his hand on his chest. Particles flashed from his chest as the wound began to be cauterized to prevent further bleeding. "If we'd met in the world before the wasteland, perhaps we could have gone to dinner or... to a public restroom or something," Zorlo said as he smiled at her and held his blade up.

"Still, with as strong as you are, its nice to know that there are others like me in this world. People who aren't cowards or weaklings feeding on those below themselves." Zorlo smiled again as he swung his blade out to the side and took a deep breath. "So are we gonna continue fighting.

Kale couldn't help but feel that comment about feeding on those below themselves was somehow directed at him. Still he couldn't pass up a set up like that. "No please, don't mind me. Feel free to kill one another to your hearts' content. It's not like the lion's share of the gang Vash here offed on his way in are following the mile long blood trail here or anything." He wasn't sure if they would lash out at him, he had a feeling the reaper was more likely to come after him than the 60 billion double dollar man, but you never knew, regardless he was prepared to do what he does best. Run. Oh, The Doctor would be so proud of me.

((I'll just let you figure out the meaning of what I previously posted, it won't affect your characters in any way, expect more posts like that again, hope you don't mind))

As Lyle continued to walk the wastes, he then heard a ruckus coming form a nearby ruin, "sounds like fighting" he muttered, he simply ignored it and proceeded to his destination, he knows how to fend for himself but prefers to avoid unnecessary combat, as he continued to walk he simply sang to keep himself occupied, not minding the heat nor the smell. Later after walking a considerable distance Lyle was taking a noontime break in a forested area. most of Japan was claimed by nature so it is no surprise that the area Lyle was in was formerly a district, he opened his satchel and brought out some bread, as he ate he reminisced about how his life has turned out, most people would say that the land is ugly and dangerous, Lyle however doesn't think like that, to him "The world is not beautiful, therefore it is".

"...?" Arielinna looked up to the second floor at Kale for a moment after his remark at Zorlo's comment and methods of fighting. Their eyes met and while Kale was preparing to run, Arielinna Zero-Shifted up to the second floor near him. Rather then attacking him though, she merely looked him over for a moment before her head tinted slightly in confusion. "...Who are you...?" she finally asked him. Her stomach growled cavernously, loud enough for Zorlo to hear below, and Kale could see her eyes almost seem to 'empty' slightly, as if what was left of her resurfaced personality was slowly re-draining into her stomach. "...Sooo hungry......" She looked back to him and smiled slightly. "Sneaky... you have food, right..? The quiet ones always did..." she said to him expectantly. She seemed sure he had something, but then the rumors did say she'd supposedly even eat a fresh corpse...

Lyle made his way through the forest and came across a settlement, he decided to spend the night and the next day to resupply, he went to a nearby inn and paid for a room, he took off his shoes ,removed his pouch and proceeded to lie down on the bed, "its been a long day" he thought, everyday always involves deliveries, he then felt something hard on his lower back, he got up and removed something, it was a nine-millimeter pistol with an empty magazine, even though he never used it he still keeps it around to intimidate others, using his powers would mean trouble so he kept it around, he then remembered an incident where he unsuccessfully tried to use it to scare of a group of armed beggars, gaunt and bony they surrounded him and began pleading to him for help, Lyle politely refused, their pleas soon turned to threats and Lyle was forced to draw the gun, they flinched but one of them lunged forward with a machete, out of instinct Lyle shocked him with a jolt from his left hand, the beggars panicked as soon as they saw what he did and fled, leaving their dead comrade at Lyle's feet, it was a rather unpleasant memory for him but he never forgets, after reminiscing about that went to sleep.

Between his desire to continue not dying and fascination with his evolving ability, he managed to not blink. "Yeah, of course I have food. Fifteen seconds." He offered and knelt down to open his bag. You never know what could happen, so it was best to bring rations." Kale swiftly produced a pringles container, and tossed it to her sighing, "I would like the container back." The original contents were long gone, it now held several small grilled rodents but the chip residue had given them a slight barbecue flavor.

He leaned against the wall and introduced himself, mostly for the benefit of Zorlo and himself, considering the reaper had set into the mice like a cat. "Name's Kale, I'm a freerunner who is presently looking to withdraw some blood money from a double crossing former yakuza rat. But otherwise I'm available for parties. So, should I just keep calling you two Vash and Reaper, or does it even matter?" A baggie of half-crushed crackers appeared in his hand and he munched, watching other people eat your food was hungry work after all.

Zorlo floated up on a stream of green colored particles as he landed on the other side of the second floor and looked down. "When did you get here?" he asked Kale as he quirked his eyebrow. "I guess I got too caught up in what I was doing. Well, that's fine, since you don't work for those losers, I guess you're not a threat to me. Still... what purpose does money have anymore? Crinkled pieces of paper with people and numbers on them... money only has value in a society. Not in a hellscape like this."

Zorlo smirked suddenly as he recalled the other thing that Kale had said. "And that was the idea. I've been trying to gather up the remnants of all of the bandits who's bosses have been murdered at my hands into one place. I only left one man alive to organize them... keep them from being too much of a danger. He's been following me for about four months now." The swordsman held his left arm out as his arm blade extended and then retracted. "In one decisive battle, I'm going to either kill all of the remaining bandits chasing me..." he said as he paused and smirked. "Or die trying."

"Anyway, I am Zorlo... in this world, and I am the Sword of Justice. I come to restore order to this world and end the conflict through yet more conflict," the man said as he tightened his turban up again.

The rumble of heavy boots filled the air as Zorlo moved towards a window and saw them. Partially starved, exhausted, forced-marched remnants of what were once the lords of areas. Fifty or so in number, the bandits had been brought together by a leader. Hell if Zorlo remembered his name or what he looked like, but he guessed it was the man with the scraggly beard in the center of the group. With a howl, the entire group began to howl loudly as Zorlo smiled and looked at the two.

"It was nice meeting you, Mr. Kale; and fun fighting you, madam. However, you should both leave. Things here are about to get quite dicy, and I wouldn't want you to get caught in the middle of my battle," he told them as particles began to flow from him as he shot towards the room and shattered through it, landing atop the roof to have a better vantage point to look down on his foes. This would be his greatest challenge yet... but he was prepared.

Kale looked on after Mr. Conflict with a raised eyebrow, "Who said anything about money?" He walked, unhurriedly, over to the window to survey the situation outside. A dozen seconds or more passed and then he looked up at the clear sky and spoke, "He's more like a nega-Vash." One cracker later, "And he's going to lose this fight, also unlike Vash. If it were going to stay clear he'd have a chance, but it won't." Another cracker, "It's not my business, but his odds would improve greatly if you helped, and then you could fight him again."

Zorlo stood atop the building and smiled down as the bandits held their weapons firmly. Resolve filled their faces as their numbers gave them pride. The green-haired swordsman held his arms out and chuckled as he looked at them. "So, where is the leader?" the seven sword stated fiercely.

"I am here!" the leader stated as he stepped forwards. A bald man with tattoos across the top of his head, he spun around with his arms held out towards his supporters. "Against this many, what chance do you-" he started to say as a Phantom sword pierced his skull and left the man standing there for a moment. A few seconds later, the leader fell and left the world without another word.

"So who wants to negotiate next?" Zorlo asked as he raised his hands and drew his twin-short swords from his back. Stepping a few feet back and taking a running jump, Zorlo quickly transformed his sword and fired off two more phantom swords that quickly took down another two warriors. With an impact of particles, Zorlo's swords returned to normal as he swung and cut down another bandit as the bandits began to surround him.

With a quick flash of his sword, another two bandits fell. A large man wielding an axe assailed Zorlo with his axe. With a quick swipe, Zorlo's cracked sword met the blade of the axe and cracked a bit more before shattering. With another slash, the swordsman cut through the bandit. As Zorlo dodged another attack, he quickly stepped back to find someone swinging a rifle at him like a bat. The Seven sword raised his blade to block the attack, but the force of the blow shattered the other blade of the sword.

Zorlo stepped back and sheathed the gun hilts and reached back to draw his daggers. In a flash of green light, two more targets fell to the ground with daggers embedded in their heads.

As another bandit with a sword bore down upon the green-haired man, he shifted enough to avoid and his arm blade swung into position as the man was cleaved in half. Green lights flashed from Zorlo as he burst forward like a bullet and a flurry of blades sliced about six bandits apart in his wake. As Zorlo turned away from the wall he was perched against now, a shotgun faced him.

Moving his arm quickly, Zorlo's arm-blade ate the scattershot from the shotgun and sent massive cracks down the blade. The swordsman stumbled back, but quickly shifted forwards and swung the blade into the head of the bandit. WIth a quick twist, the blade broke off and Zorlo kicked the bandit away into the group of remaining bandits.

Zorlo reached back and drew Cherubim from his back and closed his eyes. WIth another burst of light particles, Zorlo scythed forwards and a wave of dust and debris erupted as several bandits were sliced apart and blown into the distance with the force of his strike. Spinning quickly, Zorlo's blade whirlwind cut down another three bandits before he knew it. The swordsman's foot spun and sliced the ground as he noticed that there was now a large gap between himself and the bandits.

They were cracking. It looked like their wills to fight were evaporating as more and more of them died. He'd taken out about half of them by this point, maybe more. Still, as the swordsman faced them down, Zorlo saw someone with an RPG and quickly raised his sword. As the rocket launched, Zorlo unleashed a burst of his last stored particles to turn his sword into a shield.

Cherubim shattered as the RPG shattered and Zorlo's body, smoking somewhat, shot through the doors of the mall and sent him spiraling back.

"ONe more round!" one bandit yelled as the bandit with the rocket launcher sighed.

"All out," another marauder stated as the group sighed.

"Okay, let's advance and finish him off... after all, he's only got one sword left, and there are still a lot of us!"

Zorlo sat in the mall and sighed as he stood up. Blood dripped from several wounds, some of them from grazing and others from side effects of poor blocking, dodging or shielding. Zorlo rested his hand on his rapier and drew it slightly. "This is the last stand of me... I guess I'll go out in flair... I just wish I had more particles... well, time to face my fate," Zorlo stated as he started to walk towards the group, drawing Seraphim, his final sword. This would truly be his ultimate test. Even if he lost... he'd die with dignity.

Hm, he must have made those weapons himself. It would explain why has so many of them. If I help, maybe I could leverage that so that he'd make me one... or two. Maybe it would be best if I just let her do it, but then I won't get my swords. While Zorlo was running out there, getting himself nearly killed, Kale discarded his layers of gray. When Z came flying through the doors he hopped down now clad in black with his hair tied into a tail. "Hold this." Kale handed Z his backpack and took the rapier. "Normally I get payment before doing a shadow run like this, but I'll make an exception here. Just go sit behind the stairs, you should be safe from random bullets there. And no, this isn't charity, so don't complain." He spun the rapier in his hand a couple of times. Kale's amethyst irises disassociated into magenta starbursts ringed by sapphire for an instant while examining the blade. A little light, but quite durable in comparison to the others. Only a couple of shatter points. Should be manageable. "And don't eat my crackers."

It was getting dark as the storm clouds rolled in overhead, Kale hopped off a couple of things to get up to the second floor just above the door they were coming in, then he waited for a pair of them to get directly below and jumped. he skewered one with the rapier and jammed a knife into the second one's neck. He waited a second for all of them to turn and take notice. Yes they had been expecting to be attacked but by Zorlo, not some red hair in black, "I really wish there was some way duel of the fates could be playing right now." He said as he picked up one of the fallen men's machete, then he flourished the blades and moved as they fired and shot one another. Kale drove for the heart of the group, making what guns they had an even greater liability. Kale may not have superhuman speed but with his eyes still in overdrive from watching Zorlo and Arielinna fight, he doesn't need it to avoid little things like bullets or blood splatter.

When it was down to Kale and six guys, the machete broke in two when he smashed it against a guy's pipe, but the blade impaled the guy anyways, he stabbed one guy with the rapier and then threw it and the handle of the machete into two more, grabbed the second to last guy to use as a human shield as the sixth man fired his gun, and then Kale killed the last man by jabbing a finger into his chest. When it was all over Kale picked up the rapier and walked back while he rubbed his eyes, somehow avoiding all of the bodies and pools of blood. He had a terrible headache, "My kingdom for an aspirin." He muttered through gritted teeth.

((...My... My massacre..... Guess I was too slow on the draw...)

A strange 'pulse' and a giggle to his side told him that Arielinna was there now. She still had her smile on her face as she grabbed a guy that was not quite dead yet. "...So much food..." she giggled as she, in a few blinding slices from her scythe, opening him like an over-filled garbage bag in the Corner and nearly decapitated him to bleed out the last few moments of his life looking at his own internal anatomy as the blood-splattered girl carried out this same procedure three or four times on several others. "I knew Sneaky had food for me. And so much..." she continued more to herself before looking to the others with her blank gaze and bloody face. "Green Man... Sneaky.... Hungry...? There's plenty here..." she asked, starting on another person.

Zorlo shook his head as he stood up and shrugged. "I guess that's the most useful thing these bandits can do now," Zorlo stated as he approached Kale and removed his daggers from the bandits who had found their blades embedded in their heads. "Thank you for helping me. That was some impressive movements," the green-haired man said as he smiled at the shadowy figure. "If you give me my sword back, I'll make one that's more appropriate to your style of combat. That sword seems a bit too light for you, right?" Zorlo asked as he crossed his arms. "I need to head to the junk yard to collect materials to make new weapons for me, so I wouldn't mind making you one. I just want my rapier back," Zorlo said with a smile as he cracked his neck.

Kale winced when spoken to and held up hand level with the ground and lowered it a couple of inches. "Sh-shush, y-yell in small letters, if you please." He knew of course they weren't yelling, but it sure felt like it. "I'll pass, Reaper. I only eat people who I viewed as strong in life." He took a quick glance at Zorlo and tossed the rapier, into its sheathe. "Two would be better." He stated and went back to trying to lessen the headache, it wasn't really working, but it would go away soon enough, probably, so he lied down. "And both your praise and thanks are appreciated but unnecessary, I didn't help you out of the goodness of my heart, I want a pair of swords for my pains, and yes heavier ones are what I want. Bag." He held a hand up for his pack.

Zorlo picked up the man's backpack and set it on his chest. "I'm going to a nearby scrap-yard," the green-haired man said as he started to walk off. "I'll be there for about two days forging new swords and getting the appropriate steel... so you'll probably have a day or two more than that to find me. If you want, you can come. Tell the man that owns the scrap yard you're with me and he'll let you pass."

Zorlo glanced over at Ari... or at least where she was, and paused for a moment. "If you think about it, try to convince the girl to come. Her strength in this world means more than a handful of men. I know you're stealthy... but raw strength is useful too. Good luck," Zorlo stated as he walked into the mall long enough to grasp his cloak and toss it over him before walking away towards the scrap yard. This was going to take some time, since he had burned up his particles, but he could start work before day's end. Things were going to become exciting.

"Ow." Kale muttered as he rolled the bag off himself, he had been prepared for contact with the bag, but on his hand, not his chest. With his senses heightened as they were, and temporarily out of control on that front, it had hurt. "Jerk." He declared as he stood up and meandered upstairs to pull his gray's back on. They were chosen for two reasons, one they blended in with the bleak landscape better, but more importantly, they were comfortable and provided some nice padding between himself and everything else, he used to have some sunglasses for his eyes too, but those had been broken some time ago, and ear plugs were more of an annoyance than helpful.

When he was dressed for the wastes again his head was down to one horse instead of the entire herd. On a whim he explored the rest of the mall to see about finding some shades. He managed to find some tinted goggles and tried them on, they cut down on the light without aggravating his face which boded well for them. Kale approached Arielinna, "Green ran off thataway for some scrap metal, now that I think about it I've got a gun he could probably melt down and make use of. Anyways, he's asked that you join him there. I'm going to head that way, if you want to come along with me you can. Oh, and more importantly. What do you think of the goggles?"

In the time it took for Kale to get himself ready and search the mall area, Arielinna had managed to gut, behead, and ...'process'... most of the bandits she'd chosen. When Kale returned she was standing over the last emptied body with her scythe in hand. Combat notwithstanding, it was easy to see why she was always covered in blood stains now. She giggled at his questions, smiling. "You look kinda funny in those, Sneaky," she replied before going at the body with her scythe. Blood splattered around slightly as she sectioned it into pieces at the joints with neat, effective strokes that showed practiced experience. "...I guess... I can go with you, Sneaky. I just need to finish and hide things..." she finished as she stuck her scythe in the ground, grabbed a few body parts and Zero-Shifted away to a nearby abandoned restaurant with them. After a while of her Shifting back and forth to and from various different places nearby and not-so-nearby, she appeared again at the fountain holding a slightly bloodstained back pack and wearing a wide brimmed sun hat. "Sneaky,... Are we going far...?" she asked as she walked back to him.

"Coming from you, I'll take that as a compliment." He said more to himself than to her and adjusted the goggles in question.

Kale shrugged at the question, "He said we'd have a couple of days to find him while he's scrounging. So I would guess not. Besides, if we hurry, I'm sure we can catch him before the day's out. He has a fairly distinctive scent." Kale set off at a brisk pace periodically sniffing the air to make sure they were still on his trail. "So, my ability has no off switch, admittedly it's not as flashy as what you two can do, and Green has to sunbathe to recharge his batteries, how about you? Is sanity the cost for doing what you can do or is there an actual limit, Reaper?"
