It took a few moments for Yuuno to balance the materials enough to hold onto the rangers hand for a moment. "Apprentice Mage Yuuno Fairchild." He answered, making sure both hands were balancing the materials again. As an apprentice mage, he couldn't do magic to carry or send things without the supervision of another Grand Mage. He made his way, along side the ranger and gently pushed open the door. "Grand Mage Martin, your materials!" The older man looked over, pointing to one of the tables as he saw the other person come in. It took a moment, but he bowed to hold back his shock. "It is an honor to meet a ranger such as yourself. Fairchild, set up the circle as I've instructed on the paper and I'll prepare the ingredients." He turned his attention to the ranger as he gathered a few of the cloth wrapped ingredients.

"Serah Ranger Darklight." She introduced herself and then Ember lowered the bandanna to reveal her face. The scar below her left eye was the only thing which marred her skin. "Lucanok Fairchild, Nok Martin Serah Aesir. Nok?" Someone like Grand Mage Martin would know from past experience that rangers would occasionally slip a word like Nok into conversation, but rarely did they ever try to have entire conversations in their strange five word language with outsiders and so Ember was apparently either ignorant of how to talk with people, her vocabulary was extremely limited, or both. It wasn't impossible to understand their meaning, it usually involved a lot of guesswork and intuition, but you could get at least a basic idea of what they meant, but Rangers never shared how they added specific meanings to their words. She looked around the room, her gaze rested on the varied magical materials all around. They were unfamiliar to her. Magic was a much more intuitive thing for her and she could only manipulate what was already there not conjure weapons nor summon up powerful beasts as the mages could, or so Keeper had told her they could.

Ohta jumped back, and noticed Nathaniel was not only able but quite obviously willing to draw his sword. The fastest way through him now would be to kill him in one blow. Ohta straightened his arm and flattened his fingers so that his forearm resembled a blade. A feeding could only help Ohta in his quest to free the Light Devouring Beast. He thrust his arm forward, intent on killing Nathaniel in one strike.

Hale could see his fellow trainees fleeing throughout the field, whatever was happening now was big, the trembling in the castle, and apparently an intruder arriving were all it took to rile up Hale's spirits, when no one was looking, he sneaked his way into the the castle. "Time to be a hero Hale!" he cried out, running around for something to battle.

There was a shout and the rapid thumping of feet, Ember stuck her arm out into the hallway and Hale suddenly found his feet above his head and a terrible aching in his throat, followed by hard cold stone beneath his back. Ember crouched next to him, rested her shield hand over her free one, and cocked her head to the side, "Milly?"

Hale coughed a few times in an attempt to swallow the pain in his throat, and it worked surprisingly well. However his attacker stood over him, it was a woman, he'd hoped otherwise, but he knew there were female knights. She however wasn't wearing any of the knight's armor, "Milly? No, I'm Hale" he said boldly as he stood up and straightened himself, "And who are you miss? I warn you, though I may be a knight in training I can put up a fight." Hale said taking a step back and resting his hand on his blade. He'd never seen this woman before, but she looked like a fighter, and if she wasn't a knight, she was an intruder or another knight in training such as he.

Ember straightened as well. A knight in training. Why was he bellowing like a charging bear? "Serah Ranger Darklight. Nok Hale?" She asked and placed a hand on her blade. "Milly Hale?" The words may not have been familiar, but what it boiled down to was fairly apparent. Are you a friend or an enemy?

Hale didn't know recognize her name, but anyone who would do so probably wasn't anyone to be worried over. Her language, however, seemed foreign. Hale put his hands up and introduced himself, "Not "Milly," Hale, my name is Hale Highwind, and if you aren't an intruder then that means we're allies right?" He tried signing his words so she'd understand. "If you could, can you tell me what's going on in here?" His signing was decent at best, but the two would have to communicate somehow.

Yuuno knew Hale as one of the knights in training. As soon as he had set the circle and waited for what he had to deliver to the next grand mage, he looked towards where the ranger had gone. He moved out to look at the figure, realizing what was happening. "I apologize, this an honorable ranger." He bowed lightly towards the knight in training. "If you need some information, there's a big meeting in the throne room about the current situation. I'm not quite sure what's going on myself other than the mages fear it's the light devouring god."

Ember watched his hands until she was confident he wasn't attempting to cast a spell. An intruder? Oh, right, I suppose I am an intruder still he is not a hostile. "Nok Highwind?" No, not knight a knight in training, a page. She shook her head, "Lucanok Highwind." Ember stepped aside and gestured for him to enter. She explained what she was doing at the fort and specifically in this room, "Darklight Milly Aesir. Nok Martin Serah Aesir."

Ember raised an eyebrow at Yuuno and then understanding set in upon the woman. Keeper said that others would not understand me and that I needed to learn the many words in the books. I guess that's why they keep using them. "Lucanok Fairchild, what is this Light Devouring God? Milly Serah Aesir." She took a deep breath, "I do not know about any Valhallen creatures by that name. That is exhausting, Milly Rangers always use so many words?"

( sorry there's a family emergency keeping me busy this week)

Soma: rraaagghh! ( he dashes forward as he slams Loki into the ground) you can't stop me now Demetri!! ( his magic if she's charging as magic circles appear around the the ruins as a bli ding light shines forth as soma dashes) get out of the way miss! ( he grabs her by the collar) INDIGNATION!!!!! ( the sky opens up as a sword of lighting strokes the ruins causing them to collapse as lighting strikes around the area narrowly saving Nathaniel's life in the process) ahahahahahaha....ahahahahahaha! ( his eyes are formed as magic circles as the remainder of his helmet cracks apart as he dashes out of the the ruins dragging Bianca with him) Sorry I didn't want you to get involved I doubt that was enough to get rid of them after all demetri's magic is strong ( his eyes return to normal as his magic fades as he sets Bianca down lightly as he brushes hair out of her face but he takes her sword) sorry im borrowing this..

"Oh she's a ranger, I thought her name was ranger" Hale scratched his head, now sorting through the confusion. Hale nodded and waved off Yuuno and Ember, "The throne room right? Maybe if I go in there I'll see what's going on." He was about to head off when he heard Ember speak in something he could understand. "Yeah, people use a lot of words usually-" Once the lightning decimated the ruins Hale nearly tumbled over from the sound and force that it crashed down with.

Dimitri's magic had saved the three brother's from the collapsing ruins, but the illusion portion seemed to not work on Soma. Rather than inspect his brothers, Dimitri played a quick strand of music that allowed him to chase down his brother at superhuman speeds.

Ohta's hand just missed Nathaniel's throat, but his goal was accomplished, and he'd spare his life, the Beast was now out and could finally ravage the land once more. The lightning affected him not, and Ohta left the ruins just as quietly and invisibly as he'd entered them.

Ember brought the bandana back above her face, "Aesir. Nok." She said and struck the floor with her shield. The wall behind Martin fell out backwards and Ember raced the stones to the earth, "Serah." She breathed just before striking the ground and she landed with as much grace as a cat. Ember paid the sages no mind, if the milrans wished to fight amongst themselves let the milrans fight amongst themselves. She didn't truly need the magic to tell her of the sudden burst of Aesir energy that had appeared in the ruins, but it helped her isolate it and realize why she had never felt such a powerful presence before. There were over a dozen aesir creatures coming out of the ruins and she could feel more clawing their way out of the abyss. "Serah. Luca." She placed a hand on her chest as she spoke and a moment later it began snowing all around her. Ember was thrown at the nearest creature by the air collected beneath her cape. The sword impaled the beast and she clashed her shield against her blade shouting into the blizzard around her, "MILLY!" The sparks flashed into a furious blaze, fire burst outward from random points of it's body and Ember was thrown into the air. "Serah. Milly. Luca. Nok." Winds held the ranger aloft for several seconds, the flames branched out into the nearest beasts, snow congealed into a large spike which fell and skewered another, and earth, rubble, stone, and steel flew together to form high walls surrounding the ruins as Ember fell to the ground. Using so much magic at once was exhausting for her and she landed on her knees with her blade point first in the ground. And while the display was impressive, that wasn't the real reason Rangers were so good at fighting Valhallans for despite the immense damage caused to three of their number the trio were still moving and as a group were closing on Ember. "Aesir." She breathed out and their bodies seemed to suddenly fall apart as their spirits were torn from their physical bodies and absorbed into Ember's own soul where they were finally and truly destroyed. The snow put the blazing remains out and slicked the ground of Ember's arena, but as the ranger continued her assault her movement seemed unimpaired, in fact she was moving better. She had traction when she wanted it and skated across the ground at breakneck speeds whenever it suited her unlike her enemies who were stumbling about.

Yuuno felt a hand land on his shoulder. "Are you alright, Fairchild?" Grand Mage Martin was calm as the apprentice nodded. "Then get out of here. I can continue my magic. Let the other Grand Mages know of the situation." Yuuno stood up, making his way towards the other labs to make sure the other mages were okay.

'Why did he bring me here?... And why is he treating me like he is?...' Bianca thought, trying to process the crazy situation she had been thrown into in the past hour. As soon as Soma grabbed her sword, though, she snapped into reality.

"I don't think so!" she screamed, grabbing the hilt of the sword over his hand with both of hers. The blade of her left hand was pressing against the steel blade of the sword, but she ignored it and continued to grip as hard as she could. A trail of blood trickled to the ground underneath the hilt from the cut. "You are not leaving here, and you are certainly not taking my weapon!"

Soma( he lets go of her blade as he see it hurt her) stop would you! Theirs no reason for us to fight...but of course you wouldn't believe me even if you told me so I guess I'll see you around ( he tries to walk off but Bianca blocks his path)...why? Come on get out of my way would you?

Ohta had a new mission now, he'd go out and seek more problems for the humans, his new goal, to awaken the Demon god Kalia. She slept right outside the castle in a secret dungeon, and he'd be the one to awaken her to the world. Just as he'd weaseled into the castle, he slid into the prison-like dungeon.

Dimitri flew in the air and cried out with all his might, "Soma, where are you now? Return at once or suffer the consequences!" He played another song on his flute, that slowly wafted through the castle, searching for his brother. The song was slow and somber, and it seemed to dull all those who heard it.

Bianca held the sword in front of her, her stance steady and nimble. She was ready to move if he so much as blinked at her wrong. "There are plenty of reasons for us to fight, the first being because you are who you are. The second being that you broke out. Now, I suggest you make this easy on yourself and take a seat until more Knights arrive because I am not letting you go..."

The Aesir guards ran around, preparing what they had to make sure to track down where Soma was. Of course, the seal on Kalia continued to hold, as the words necessary to awaken her were only known to her creators. Her demon god status was only used to prove she was an effective weapon when it came to fighting the light devouring god, Soma. Right now, many of them knew that her activation would only halt process and could not do the intricate and almost dangerous process. Even if one awakened her, they would have to somehow show they were doing what her creators had meant for her.

Soma: ( he kicks a sword left by a fleeing soldier into the Air as he catches it) please don't do this miss... Your clearly strong you have to believe me you don know the truth of what's going on ( be blocks an oncoming attack as he begins to parry oncoming g strikes though it's clear Bianca is giving him a run for his money) stop it! ( he lowers his blade as he doesn't dodge the next strike as her blade stops at his neck As he drops his sword) I haven no Intention of fighting you... After this you still think I'm a "beast"

The tip of the blade was pressed against his neck. All Bianca had to do was push forward just the slightest bit and she could kill him, promising that this monster would never hurt anyone again. His life was literally in her hands, but his words stopped her. He had dropped his blade, she noticed with a quick glance to his feet. What was going on? 'He can't really be giving up, can he? He's the beast of legends... There's no way he would give in so easily or to someone like me... He has to have something up his sleeve...'

"What are you talking about? Of course I do. You tried to kill us all twelve years ago. How does that not make you a monster?" she asked, her tone as steady as the blade in her hand.
