Speaking of magi, I do believe that is Saskia Einzbern. I just got into town and I've run into a master and the vessel. At this rate I'll be clearing out entire buildings of witnesses by the end of the week. Kylar waved as the pair walked in and motioned for them to sit with him. Admittedly, sitting in a poorly lit corner of a restaurant and dressed in black robes made for a less than positive first impression, but at least there wasn't any ominous music playing in the background.

"Miss Saskia, I'll talk to this man." He spoke softly, feeling her arm leave his. Jaochim knew that someone inviting them to sit meant a few things. They could take no chances with the War being active. "I don't believe we've met. Is there something you need?" He asked prepared to attack if necessary. Saskia's body seemed to be very still as the tension in the room rose a bit.

"Some more root beer would be nice, but I don't think that's what you mean." Kylar took a sip, "Anyways, no, we haven't met. I'm called Kylar and I just thought I'd be friendly." He extended his hand in greeting. "I'm a third party here, not dissimilar to the two of you. So, join me for breakfast or whatever mealtime it is? I won't be offended if you don't, but you're clearly here to eat anyways, so why not join me?"

Joachim turned to Saskia, who seemed to relax a little at the thought. He let her sit down first, sitting in the chair next to her. "You seem to know us quite well for a stranger." He spoke, Saskia looking at the menu a little before she looked back up at Kylar. "I'm afraid we're not easily able to trust others."

"I understand. Give me a moment, I think I have something for eavesdroppers." Kylar closed his eyes for a minute before casting a spell to prevent anyone further than a couple of feet from hearing them. "Now, we should be able to speak fairly freely. As I said, I'm called Kylar and I'm an enforcer here to make sure normal people, with the exclusion of familiars such as yourself," he inclined his head towards Joachim, "don't find out about our world. As for knowing you. The fact that your mistress has almost celebrity status with regards to the war means it would be more surprising if I didn't know who you were." He scribbled a phone number down on a napkin and slid it over to Joachim. "My number, in case you find a situation that requires my attention that should be good for the next two weeks. Quick question, and then we can stop discussing work. What would you say my chances would be if I got into a fight with a servant? Not that I intend to, but it might be unavoidable, and I'd like to know that I've just been thrown to the wolves."

"Why are you saying familiar?" Saskia looked a bit confused, looking at Joachim. She knew he had no magic ability put into his fighting, so it would be impossible for him to be made of magic. "I don't think normal weapons have any real effect against servants. Joachim is only able to protect me from the humans that wish to harm me."

"Sorry, bad phrasing on my part. Anyways, I don't generally use normal weapons, so maybe if I strike first and strike hard I'll be able to beat one." Kylar moved his food around on his plate, "I almost want to give it a try. But that's enough talk of blood and death. What sights does this town have to offer?"

It was strange to ask that question. She had never been to Japan. Of course she was aware of the possibility the castle still stood. There wasn't much that she could do as advice in that way. "I'm afraid I'm the last person that should be asked that question." She spoke, a hand putting the fork down and looking up at the ceiling for a few moments.

"The sights are in pamphlets or books." Joachim spoke, taking a sip of his drink.

"hm?" thought Quattro, he put down the newspaper he was reading and turned around, "oh its just you" he said with a sigh of relief as his servant Assassin appeared, "I have been observing them like you asked master" she replied, "well anything worth noting?" he asked, "for now nothing" she answered, "you must be tired, rest up, I'll refill you later on" he commanded, "yes master" she replied, ever since he came to the area, he watched as Jack lied down on his bed and fell asleep, time to get to work....

Zorlo paused for a moment as he held his hand up. "The wind just changed."

Gawain stared at him for a moment before looking around. "What now? The wind, you say? What does that mean?"

"I get the feeling most of the other "guests" have arrived. The battle will begin soon, so we'd better be prepared."

Caster laughed. "A knight is ALWAYS prepared."

"Yes... yes they are," Zorlo retorted before sighing and sitting down. "Anyway, this place will soon be a battlefield, so be ready for anything. We need to be prepared to do whatever is necessary to win."

"Yes, we must be prepared to win... with honor!" Gawain responded, smiling.

Zorlo face-palmed. "Why'd I summon you... you're the antithesis of all things that make sense."

"Correction, I am the antithesis of things that lack duty, conviction and justice!" he yelled, holding his clenched fist upwards.

"So gonna die..." Zorlo whispered to himself.

"I could get a bunch of pamphlets, yes, but I prefer talking to people. So, how about them Texas Rangers?" A conversation and nightfall later, "It's getting dark out. All the freaks will be coming out soon, which means I'm going to have some work to do. Give me a call if you discover something that requires my attention." He stood and pulled his hood back up. "Or if you just want to hang out some more. Have a good evening." Kylar dismissed the ward he had set up earlier and headed for the tallest building he could find, briefcase in hand.

Ecolo pulled the breifcase from kylar and dashed off as fast as he could go. He hated having to resort to crime, but this was necessity. He needed something worth money. something that would get him out of his oppressive house, he hadn't eaten in two weeks. Since his father disallows him, and enforces it with brutality, once he had stuck back only to have his wrists broken. He lowered his head and whispered an apology to the man he had robbed.

Newborns, ugh. He's fortunate I'm in a not bad mood. However, stealing from me is a poor decision. Rather than draw unnecessary attention to them by shouting thief, he simply used a short burst from his jump jets to accelerate himself up to a full sprint and elbowed Ecolo in the back of the head the force of which knocked the kid to the pavement. "Just because you can use a magecraft doesn't mean you have the right to take other people's things." Kylar picked his briefcase back up and checked the locks, both were still in place. "Didn't your master teach you any discipline? Or did he just load the gun for you?"

"Master?" Magecraft? Is that what you call it? "are you implying that i work for a scum like that? I have no master." Ecolo swung wide, but instead of hitting him he sent sand flying towards Kylars face. "Doctor! Help me!"

Kylar jumped to the side to avoid the sand, but found himself in the middle of the road. He narrowly avoided getting hit by any cars, but ended up on the opposite side of the street. He's a rogue mage. Great. Guess he's my responsibility then. Who is he talking to? A familiar? Oh, don't tell me. He has a servant. But Doctor isn't a class of servant and I can't think of any legendary heroes called Doctor. I never get the easy ones.

A man appeared the boy. His hair defying gravity in red streaks. A scar ran down the mans face, right below the eye. "The Doctor. It's a full name." "Who cares about the the? Just help!" The doctor just shrugged. "I care about the The. It's part of my name. I don't call you 'Lo."

Traffic had stopped, a person running across traffic tended to cause that. Of course, Kylar had more stumbled than ran, so the result was slightly different than simple angry shouting. Some peole swarmed over to him checking to see if he was alright. After several reassurances, apologies, and a fake twisted ankle, he managed to get them to let him get back across the street. "Relax. I'm not going to beat you anymore. But you are a real brat, you know that? Calling a heroic spirit just because you got beaned over the head for stealing. If you keep behaving like a delinquent you're going to draw the attention of another master and the mage's society. If that happens, you'll have an enforcer on your tail. And trust me, you don't want one of them hunting you. Those guys are cold relentless heartless killers who will stop at nothing to keep our world a secret. So learn some self-discipline before you get yourself killed." Kylar looked at the servant, "The Doctor, was it? If you like your master at all, you'll remind him of what I said the next time he decides to try something like this again."

"You think you're the reason he called me?" The Doctor paused a second and held up a finger, "Don't tell me you can't feel that." It was a pulsation. As if the earth had a beating heart. A phenomena that never happened due to normal circumstances.
