Re: Bloody Sword
Erver had been watching for a while from above. He had wondered how it was possible for someone to catch a shade? He pondered for a moment how long he had been out of action. He pulled his bow from his waist and trained it steadily on the man doing the slapping. He hadn't planned on acting, but he didn't quite care at this point. Right before he let the arrow slip free he towed his weapons away and snuck out of the building. He had no reason to stay, and if he did he surely would have been caught. Not even his boots made a sound as he fled from the room and out into the streets.

Re: Bloody Sword
Those people were up to it again. Going after people who might know something about events that she was unaware of. Why would they be after a fellow Shade? Jennifer had no desire to go after people who had their own reasons. Joseph Marin was a high profile shade, she remembered. If she made her way to the house that he lived, she could make it in time to save him. Or would she be able to save him? Her children hadn't been saved. Moving quickly towards the direction of the house, she pushed her speed as fast as possible. She risked being found out, but getting away from the sword organization wasn't as hard if she just left a clue, right?
Re: Bloody Sword
"Seems we have some company coming. And rather fast too." Kylar hopped into Jennifer's path and bowed a greeting as a wall of flames sprang up behind him , two lines shot out flanking out around her path and a fourth wall seemed to be chasing after her. The top of the walls folded in together and even the ground caught fire forming a perfect box. "Now what has you in such a rush to get to a crime scene?" Brent cut through the wall behind him, "KYLAR! Stop it. If they're running this way, then they obviously didn't kidnap him." Kylar thinks about this for a second before the flames die out. "This is why you shouldn't interrupt me when I'm napping." "You're always napping." "That's beside the point. Now then, sorry about that. I'm Kylar, Ms.?" Kylar put his hands behind his back and inclined his head towards Jennifer.

Re: Bloody Sword
It was sword, so she had to either be quick or just avoid getting into subjects she would rather not get involved with. "I saw the young shade in this house with people I know to be rather unpleasant." She spoke, taking a deep breath and putting a gloved hand to her hat. "I have no reason to be involved, but I do remember him being of this house. He's at an old building nearby." She answered, turning around and beginning to walk away. She knew that the question of her name would come up again as she walked, but there was no point. She didn't come from a family of money and merely lived from day to day. "I just remember the men being called Templars." She would leave now, before she'd have to lead them. She had already given them an address on the ground. Hopefully she could go back to her normal life again.

Brent grabbed the woman by the arm and held firmly but gently. He could feel her trying to phase through his hand. He shifted his spiritual energy so she couldn't. "I am sorry madame but you will find it quite impossible to get out of my grip." He leaned in close and whispered in her ear "I recognize your face miss Barrows, it's been plastered on my office wall for a few months now. Cooperate willingly and I will see to it your record is cleared of all charges. I can even offer you a job. We do what we can to help who we can. I've read the reports on you. You've killed people but only in self defense or the defense of others. At least think about it." Jennifer looked over at Kylar and the incomming nekomata. "Our conversation was not overheard and do not worry about Kylar. The day he notices things I post on our office wall is the day the world ends." Brent pulled back and spoke at a normal volume again, "This young lady is a witness to a serious crime and is now under protective custody. Kylar, she will fly with you. Keep her out of range. I'll take care of the templars. If these are rouge agents we have full authority to stop them."

Trigger reached the room last, “I didn’t find anything in his room sir! It was weird though, I felt like it was too clean, like someone cleaned it after him, but then again it looks like the have the money to have someone clean up the stuff for them.” He paused to catch his breath, and bowed his head to Jennifer, “Hello there,” he turned to face Brent and asked politely, “Who is this? Is she in Sword too?”
Re: Bloody Sword
Erver paused as he landed in front of the group. His eyes wide with surprise. "Er da vendcety van!" He turned from them and began to run. They were obviously SWORD. That meant that they knew him, and he had to get away soon. The equipment they had were first rate, if he had stayed any longer they surely would have caught him. At least this way he had a chance. He cast his purple eyes towards the sky as he ran, looking for a way to the rooftops.

"I recognize your face Miss Barrows..."
It wasn't that she hadn't expected someone to know her name. Still, what's the point of getting a job in a place after all she wanted was to be a ghost? To disappear like her children had. She had become a shade while her children had not. She found her shoulders sagging a little, her eyes closing while she grasped some of the material in her skirt with her free hand. What was she supposed to do? She didn't want to be known by sword, but she knew she was unregistered. She preferred to not to have to fight. It had been a last resort to take over people and defend herself. She closed her eyes and sighed while she attempted to gather her thoughts.

Kylar looked on at the running man, Have I seen that man before? Don't suppose it matters though, he's running from the scene. A cube of red flames giving off green sparks appeared around Erver. "Trigger, do you know who that was?"

Re: Bloody Sword
“That man?” Trigger asked pointing towards Erver, “No, I don’t suppose I have. But I can find out.” Trigger seemingly flew towards Erver, his movements quick and cat-like, he was just sort of the flames, before anyone could notice. “Excuse me sir, where are you off to in such a hurry? If you don’t mind me asking that is.” Trigger smiled and instinctively scratched his ear.
Re: Bloody Sword
"Evea tre nachten mataa van. Nov ca sen" He replied in annoyed elvish as he pried at the flaming bars. He wasn't able to free himself or even touch them without seiring pain. He ran his hands through his long hair, rolled to the edge of the flaming bars, and leaped towards Trigger, just barely breaking through the flames.
Re: Bloody Sword
There was an explosion of flames where Kylar had been standing and he was suddenly pinning Erver's burnt body face down, with his arm in a lock. "Seugnot. Now, relax." At the later half of that statement Kylar started speaking in elvish. "Or I will start breaking things."

Re: Bloody Sword
Brent started cursing in a multitude of languages, "ONE DAY! JUST ONE! A normal job is all I ask for! What next? Is an elemental going to pop up in front of me and yell surprise?!" Time was of the essence and this new distraction meant it would take them longer to get to Joseph. "Alright enough is enough." Brent went over to Kylar and kneeled next to the elf and spoke in elvish, <"I simply don't have time for this. YOU! Make up your mind. Come with us or I put you in a seal and call base to come pick you up. You have fifteen seconds to decide.">
Re: Bloody Sword
"I don't have the time! I've gotta escape. They'll experiment on me! Freeze me again! Let me Free!" Erver responded annoyingly. "I won't go back. Never again."
Re: Bloody Sword
"I could summon you a fire elemental, if you like?" He let the elf up. "Oh goody, that means you're coming. And for the benefit of those who aren't omnilingual, please speak in English, if you can manage it."
He walked over near Jennifer although he kept several yards between them, "Looks like I'll be your babysitter. Guess this means I won't be getting my nap in." He called, "Brent, if things go sideways, don't do something stupid." Kylar transformed unfurling his wings and shaking the spikes along his neck. He turned to the shade asking, "Ruomra. Would you like to ride?"

Re: Bloody Sword
"English?" He stared at Kylar in confusion as if he had made up a word. As Kylar had turned to speak to someone else, he began to creep away, avoiding any sounds his footwear would have made. He hadn't wanted to get caught by sword, and he deffinitely didn't want to stay around them.

Re: Bloody Sword
Things flashed before Trigger’s eyes in an explosion of movement, but he could not help but stare, whether it was Kylar’s speed or Brent’s power, Trigger knew he had a lot of training to do before he would catch up. Then, just out of the corner of his eye, he caught sight of Erver tiptoeing away, Trigger instinctively chased and pounced on his prey, pinning him to the floor, “I don’t think you’re allowed to leave yet, is he guys?” Trigger called out toward his supervisors.
Re: Bloody Sword
Erve pulled his knee up into Trigger, used the motion to put him off balance, and slammed him into the nearby wall using his elbow. He then brought the back of his hand accross triggers face, unbalancing him again, grabbed his waist, and slammed him to the ground reversing their original pose. "Let me free" He hissed at Trigger in almost perfect english.

Re: Bloody Sword
Trigger laughed as he body was taken on a rollercoaster of movement, ‘This sure isn’t like the tourneys at all. He’s a real brawler, not someone who fights for fun, I think. But he doesn’t know that I…’ Trigger swung his knees up and wrapped them around Erver’s waist, and his tail fastened itself on his left ankle.“I don’t think Sword would like that mister…. Elf… man…” Trigger said questioningly, “What do I call you by the way?” Trigger asked, trying to free his hand so that his grapple would be complete.

Re: Bloody Sword
She had never said her name, so why did he ask her if she wanted a ride is such a manner. "It's Jennifer." She answered, looking at the shape in front of her, gloved hands coming together. She didn't know why he was offering her a ride. To say he was baby-sitting her confused her more. It wasn't like she was a child and incapable of realizing when she was caught. Even if she managed to get out of their sight, she'd still be wanted by the people of sword. "I don't have a choice either way." She smiled and sighed, seeming to be relaxed, but really just felt completely defeated. She had nowhere to go unless she was registered.
