Re: War of the Dragon (RP)
The door became lit by the purple glow of his eyes as she thanked him, less obvious in part because of the glow from his eyes and in part because he was facing away from her he blushed. "Well, of course I care. You're my friend."
Jenkins smiled at Ceraph's account of the explosion. "Yeah, It's nothing to concern yourself over, Ceraph. It's like explaining colors to a blind person, actually wait, that's exactly what it is."
He turned to look at her with a confused expression, "Changes? Oh the soul sucking thing with the mastiff. No I mean yeah, I feel fine. Just" his irises became shot through with yellow veins and he could hear the ring calling to him, "I'm afraid that I might be turning into something evil. Especially with what just happened." Jenkins rubbed the blue ring on his finger for comfort and it seemed to work as the whispers faded. The yellow veins became overriden by blue which then bled over into the purple, subduing the glow. "There is another thing, although I'm not sure how you could have noticed it. It started when I woke up after getting wailed at. You know how gypsies and fortune tellers often talk about people's auras? I'm starting to think that they aren't all just full of crap, because I think I can see them now. At least some of the time. It doesn't take away from how things look, but the best way to describe them is as colors. Like fear, fear is yellow, and it tasted like red was rage. I'm not sure what the other colors mean yet and it seems to come and go at it's own accord, which makes it both disorienting and difficult to figure out how it works. This is also like trying to explain colors to a blind person, isn't it? Why does that keep coming up today?"
Shanks burst into laughter. "Don't hold it against them. I'm a two hundred and twenty year old Elf who's been in more fights than they have combined. Besides they're just six theoretically highly trained inquisitors. And clearly since things keep getting in the way your goddess agrees with my assessment, it's just a political gambit by some dirty old men. Hm, I think I may have an idea. I need to talk it out with my brother." He started walking and ran his fingers across the earring of obsidian roses and started talking, seemingly to himself.

( sorry to keep ypi can someone catch me up I had a family emergency which kept me busy sorry )
Re: War of the Dragon (RP)
((No worries, family is more important than this. Major points: The banshee was defeated, a phoenix named Marco showed up, Maerlyn's feathers are now red and orange, Jenkins sucked the life out of the shadow mastiff, Zorlo's fiance has shown up, it is presently afternoon and the sun is shining brightly for the first time in a very long time on the island, and the ship will be leaving at dawn. People's locations at the moment: Jenkins, Ceraph(the slime girl), and Maerlyn are in the captain's cabin while Jenkins repairs the damage he just caused during a brief moment of him wearing the yellow ring of fear, Zorlo is unconcsious in a corner somewhere, Sylvia is with her men on the second ship where they were chained to the mast by Shanks, and I think that about covers everyone.

Re: War of the Dragon (RP)
((Hope the Family business ends well. And welcome back and late Happy birthday, Kai!))
Ceraph looked back and front between the two of them, some confusion on her face as Maerlyn chuckled and shook her head. "I know you don't quite understand, Ceraph. But don't worry about it. We'd only succeed in confusing you even worse if we stopped to explain things to you," Maerlyn replied to her looks with a kind smile. This seemed to be enough for her for the moment at least as she went back to looking at the ring, unable to 'see' the images it was trying to use to make her pick it up, but feeling that ...something... wanted her to do ...something... with it.
The Blazing Harpy, meanwhile, turned her attention fully back to Jenkins. It was an interesting thing to hear. There really weren't all that many people that the Harpy could call 'friend'. "A friend...." her whispered to herself, smiling slightly wider before raising to her feet and stretching languidly. Her fiery, new coloration made her light skin stand out even more as she crossed the room to him. At some point, her top had shifted downward slightly, revealing a lot more of herself then usual as she approached the kneeling Jenkins. "Thank you, Jenkins. You've made me rather...happy," she started as she reached him. "So... I think I'll give you reward for it..." With a rather unreadable smile, the Harpy bent forward, giving the farm-boy quite the view as she placed a taloned hand on the broken door as she planted a not-so-chaste kiss on his forehead. Her lips were surprisingly soft as she ended the kiss and chuckled. "By the way, violet looks like 'embarrassment' to me," she said quietly as she stood and walked out past him with a chuckle, adjusting her top back into place. "I'm gonna go check on that Paladin, would you see if Ceraph wants anything since you finished with the door, Jenkins?" Maerlyn said to him as the Harpy walked away. Sure enough, when he looked back, the door was fully mending, needing only to be secured back to its hinges. She must of fixed it with a spell when he was ...distracted... with things.

Re: War of the Dragon (RP)
Jenkins felt himself grow hot at her approach and averted his eyes upwards, focusing on her throat and collar bones as best he could. He leaned against the doorway and smiled after Maerlyn after checking the door. "Happy, huh?" He moved over to a mirror and looked at himself. He couldn't see his own aura in the mirror, but he did see his eyes. It was an interesting sight. "No, I don't think embarrassment is quite right." He splashed some water in his face and sighed. "So, is something on your mind Ceraph?" Jenkins asked as he pulled his clothes back on. Thoughts of Maerlyn edged to the back of his mind and his eyes reverted to their original green circles. So I can only see emotions when I'm emotionally charged myself and when I'm so charged my eyes change into those glowing slits, cool. I just wish I had some way of reliably triggering it. And why is this only just now happening?

Sylvia finally headed downstairs towards where Zorlo was. "Useless... stupid... GARR!" she yelled in pure anger and frustration before stopping and sighing. "No sense in being angry. Just relax. Take a deep breath and..." the woman said as she took a deep breath and relax. She'd just finished knocking the Inquisitors senseless when she had paused and stared at the door to the room Zorlo had been taken into. "Hmm... I don't recall leaving the door open," the woman whispered as she pushed it slightly more open. "Wakey, Wakey, ZORLO! I'm here, so we've got to talk!" she yelled as she entered the room and opened her eyes to see if her method of waking him up had worked. She'd need to practice if they were gonna be married.

Re: War of the Dragon (RP)
Ceraph nodded back to Jenkins as she slid forward. Looking at her, she seemed darker in pigment then before, though not nearly as dark as when they first found her. Her Need for fluids was really getting bad and it showed in her restlessness. "F-fluids... I.. really want some fluids..." she replied to him, unsure of how to verbalize her desire when she'd never needed to put them into words before. She just looked at him, hoping he understood her request.
"Hmm...?" was the only reply Sylvia got. But rather then Zorlo, it had come from Maerlyn, whom was on the bed with Zorlo, kneeling over his unconscious form with a glowing, taloned hand on his hip and collarbone and her light frame leaned low over his. At the Cleric's ridiculous entry, the Harpy paused to look at Sylvia before smiling and returning to her task at hand, listening to the Paladin's heart while smelling for fresh blood. "Oh, it's just you. You're just in time though. I'm now positive that he's not bleeding inside or out. I'm also pretty sure that his body couldn't have been this sexy before, but that might just be me," Maerlyn said to the woman as her head moved up to Zorlo's neck. "Although, since I'm nearly done, there's isn't much left for you to do, unless you wanna help me finish...?" Maerlyn said with a mischievous smile.

Sylvia's eyes widened before anger filled them. "What... and I do mean what... the hell... are you... DOING?!" Sylvia asked as she walked up and looked at Maerlyn. "How dare you attempt to take advantage of him while he's asleep! That's my- er..." Sylvia started to say as she paused. "Anyway, ZORLO! WAKE UP!" she yelled, but the Paladin didn't stir. "Oh, going to ignore me, are you..." Sylvia asked as she drew her mace and prepared to strike. "Witch, if you don't move, I'll crush him through you. How does that sound?" the cleric asked as he eyes were inflamed with anger.
Re: War of the Dragon (RP)
"Fluids? Oh, right. Uh well there's the ocean, but I'm not sure what the salt would do, and i don't know if there's any freshwater sources nearby asides from the ship's stores but it might not be enough. I'm sure we can find something though." He smiled at her and then he remembered. "Wait, we don't have to go anywhere. There's a cleric on board, she should be able to create water. Sylvia's probably with Zorlo." And Maerlyn said she would be there too. "Let's just go find them." He picked up the yellow ring and clutched it tightly in his palm with one hand and took Ceraph's hand with the other as they made their way to the others. The ring whispered to him loudly and though his eyes turned into yellow slits they did not glow. He held onto Ceraph tightly, trying to comfort himself, it wasn't working.
"Oh good, your here Sylvia. Would you please create some water for Ceraph here? She's starting... to dry out and..." He let go of Ceraph and started looking at the yellow ring. He shook his head and stumbled sideways into a chair his eyes locked on the hand holding the ring, yellow light spilling out from between his fingers. It's harder to look away from this than it was to look away from Maerlyn's chest. Maerlyn. He managed to get one eye up for a second. "Maerlyn. Embarr." And then he was clutching the ring close to his chest with a twisted smile on his face.

Re: War of the Dragon (RP)
Maerlyn merely smiled back at the enraged cleric as she laid against Zorlo's side suddenly. "Hmm? He's your...what?" she replied as she carefully caressed Zorlo's face. "Do you have some kind of Claim on him...? But how can you hope to keep it if you can. Even. Voice. It...?" she finished, running her tongue along Zorlo's cheek and jaw. That did it. Sylvia swung as Maerlyn rolled with a laugh. The loud crunch seemed to almost echo as she looked up at her handy work. Sylvia blinked twice as the ice blocking Zorlo from her attack cracked badly, having taken the hit while just finishing. But it did it job of keeping the sleeping Paladin from the worst wake-up of his life. It was about that time that Jenkins & Ceraph entered. Maerlyn was just smiling back when she noticed the yellow shining from both eyes and hand. The same as before.
Don't tell me.... she thought to herself, but she knew. She was already deciding what to use to stop him when she heard heard him speak. Embarr...? Oh... I see... And with a mischievous smile on her face, she stood up, her top somehow shifted down again as she started toward him. How she kept doing it was anyone's guess. "Jenkins, my dear, just how do you keep getting into these situations...?" Maerlyn asked him in a rather sensual voice as she seductively walked over to him, still smiling that smile of hers as she came up to him rather fearlessly. With both of them standing, it was easy to see the height difference between them. The Harpy barely came up to the six foot tall farm-boy's neck. She shifted, her top sliding farther down her lean frame to all but flash Jenkins. "Oh this top... Say Jenkins..." she said caressing his face. "Would you be a dear and pull it back up for me...?" she asked as she raised her arms, causing it slide down farther and really flash the unsuspecting Farm-boy. "Or.. would you rather a quick feel first...?" she finished with a mischievous chuckle.

Re: War of the Dragon (RP)
Ok, maybe not quite as hard as looking away from her chest. Thank goodness. His eyes shifted to violet ovals and he dropped the ring into a bag. Jenkins placed his hands on Maerlyn's comparatively small waist whispering, "Much as I'd like that I think I'll pass on the quick feel." He kissed her on the forehead. It was enjoyable, but weird. Of course, lips are dangerous at this point and have lost most meaning so I guess this works. "And for future reference, violet is not embarrassment." Jenkins smiled at her and fixed Maerlyn's top. Wonder who would kick my butt first. Connor for not taking advantage of the situation or James because she's a harpy.

The Harpy pretended to pout before lowering her arms. A quick shift and Jenkins could just barely hear the 'pop' of a clasp locking as she smiled. "I'll keep that in mind. Well, maybe next time then, dear," she replied before looking toward the silent Sylvia. "You should take notes, deary. You could probably use the tips yourself, judging by your 'claim' earlier. Or maybe I could teach you for later...?" Maerlyn said to her, still rather sensual with her voice and movements for whatever reason.
Re: War of the Dragon (RP)
"That's it... YOU DIE!" the Cleric yelled as she struck out again, this time, a shield blocked the mace as a powerful divine force repelled the mace. Sylvia stepped back as she looked at the shield and blinked. "Huh... but that shield..."
Zorlo yawned as he looked at Maerlyn and rubbed the sleep from his eyes. "Why is my cheek wet... will someone explain this to me?" the Paladin asked as he lowered his shield. "I sensed an incredible flux of strange energies... and now I'm awake and have no idea what I woke up to," the Paladin said as he moved his shield along his back and cracked his neck.
Sylvia took a deep breath and her beet red face slowly flushed back to normal. "He. Is. Mine. Leave. Him. Alone."
Zorlo sighed as he looked at the Cleric and crossed his arms. "I might have slept through this... but I heard a voice while I slept, Sylvia. IT told me... we cannot do this. Erastil will not Support a union for political purposes. If we take that dive... I will become powerless... Please... reconsider."
Sylvia began to shake angrily. "What?! Are you doing this just because of what she said? You think she's prettier than me, huh?! Why are you doing this?!" she asked, her anger flaring out violently as she stormed out and pushed everyone in her way out.
Zorlo scratched the back of his head and watched her. "Seriously, what happened while I was asleep?"

Re: War of the Dragon (RP)
Jenkins knelt down, kept his eyes trained on Maerlyn and rummaged through the bag for the ring. He tossed it to Zorlo. "It's complicated, just don't let this come to me again. And we still need to get Sylvia to create some water for Ceraph. I'll go try to calm her down." He moved his hands up Maerlyn's sides a bit. "Fill him in. We'll talk more about violet later. And don't make this harder for me." Jenkins gave chase after Sylvia, between the wreckage left in her wake and the intense crimson aura making her easy to follow, there was something else mixed in with the rage though he couldn't place the color he had an idea as to what it was. "Sylvia, wait! Please calm down. She was just playing around."
Sylvia's path took her running smack dab into Shanks. He didn't let her get away and waved Jenkins off. "Sylvia, would you like some tea? I'm going to get some tea. Why don't you join me and tell me about it?" It wasn't really a question, Shanks was gently but firmly stearing her towards a seat. Jenkins hung back, he wasn't exactly sure what he was going to say anyways and Shanks seemed more experienced in this matter.

Re: War of the Dragon (RP)
Maerlyn let the Cleric go, chuckling quietly to herself as she left. "That girl so needs to get laid..." the Harpy mused to herself as Ceraph looked at her.
"Get...Laid.. what's 'get laid'...?" the Slime-girl asked, causing Maerlyn to kneel down and pat her head.
"Perhaps... I'll show you, later, little one," she replied as the pat turned to a caress and Ceraph's face and neck flushed violet, the Slime-girl uncomfortably for reasons she didn't understand. Huh.. slimes can blush...
"Ahh.... Ummm..."
"Don't worry, I'll be gentle if it happens," Maerlyn added, causing most of Ceraph's body to flush violet as the Harpy stood, nodding to Jenkins and waving him on. "Oh there's something I might harder..." she murmured before looking at Zorlo. "Now then... Sylvia walked in on me healing and inspecting your body, I teased her and she attacked. Jenkins came in with Ceraph and was nearly taken over by the ring until I sexed him up a bit and broke its hold. Then I teased Sylvia again and she attacked. You saw the rest from there, my dear paladin," Maerlyn finished, still smiling as the fidgeting Ceraph slowly unblushed.

Re: War of the Dragon (RP)
Zorlo yawned. "A lot happened while I was sleeping. How bothersome," Zorlo said as he removed a pouch from his bag and magical water began to fill it until he had made about a gallon of water that he handed to Ceraph. "I'm a Paladin, I can make water too," he told them before he yawned and stepped back and sat on the bed he was sleeping on prior. "As for Sylvia, why did you have to anger her. I was hoping I was telling her that in a good mood. Wonderful, now I feel bad," Zorlo said as he looked at Maerlyn. "As for you, stop teasing her. All she's known is the life of a cleric, so your joking isn't helping her. Lay off and try to show some dignity... Erastil mildly informed me on what happened to you, so try to believe it as I am, your behavior ill fits a phoenix. Speak with me when you've reigned in your wild behavior."
Sylvia struggled for a few moments before she huffed and let Shanks take her to some tea. "What is it?! What do you want?! Why won't you leave me alone?!" she bellowed like a dragon as she tried to calm down, but Zorlo's words had cut her beliefs deep. Was she really being used by them?

Re: War of the Dragon (RP)
That cut a little deep. For one of the first times, probably, Maerlyn stopped smiling as she put a hand on her hip. "You wound me with such sharp words, Paladin. Especially when you've little idea as to who I really am or why I act as I do," the fiery Harpy replied to him, her eyes blazing momentarily in her anger, but had something else in them. Sadness. She turned then. "But it's fine. I'll take my leave and leave you to her, next your wounds need tending," she finished, too proud to show how hurt she was by his statement as she walked off.
Ceraph watch quietly as Maerlyn walked away, unsure what to say before her need for fluid pulled her attention back to the pouch like the ring had pulled Jenkins to it. In one fluid motion, the Slime-girl seemed to just flow inside the pouch, bulging it considerably as she sucked in and began absorbing to water.

Re: War of the Dragon (RP)
Zorlo sighed. "Well, now that's TWO people I need to apologize to. Wonderful. Meh," Zorlo stated as he looked at Ceraph. "At least she's enjoying herself," the Paladin stated as he stepped out of his room. "Just gonna be one of those days. I think being a Paladin makes it hard for me... remember what it's like to be a normal person sometimes. Is being resistant to all the wiles of chaos and evil... truly make you noble? After all, I just hurt two people who are... perhaps... just trying to express themselves. I much prefer dealing with things I KNOW are evil... at least then I ill have to consider the dogged words they toss around."
Zorlo sighed as he looked down the hall and saw his uncle and Sylvia and remained silent. "Where's Jenkins, I can send him to go appease Maerlyn. I'll apologize after she's had her fill of him," the Paladin stated as he began to look for the farmer-turned-soldier.

Re: War of the Dragon (RP)
"I want tea." Shanks said simply and poured a cup for each of them. "I never said not to marry Zorlo, just not to marry him for the wrong reasons." He took a long sip of tea. "You are important to him. You're a favorite topic at dinner."
Jenkins's eyes were currently dim blue ovals and he turned to Maerlyn when she came up on deck. He turned his azure gaze to her and waved the harpy over. "Shanks seems to be calming Sylvia down. I assume it was Zorlo who upset you?"

Re: War of the Dragon (RP)
"Dinner... so you're...?" she asked, looking at him. "You're a relative of Zorlo's then, huh? But he told me two years ago when we met that he was looking for an uncle he hadn't seen in years. Yet... you were the one that saved him, aren't you? He was praying to Erastil a while ago... I felt it... and he mentioned you. I was confused... but I think I understand now. Still, what does he say about me?!" the woman asked, her face lighting up. She'd never felt so proud and happy in what seemed like a moment of infinite sadness.
