Re: .HACK//GENESIS (FINALLY OVER)
Life was...pretty much back to normal. Well as normal as one can get at least when you wake up from a coma, news reports were all over me and lawyers were talking about me wishing to sue CC Corp which I denied straight out. The doctors kept me around for at least another month to check up on me, nothing too great.
My Father well...you could tell he was not happy, he would have pulled the plug on me. But I'm moving out of my home, leaving him and starting my own life. His company is crashing anyway so I expect him to be within the streets or outside asking for a job. Not that it'll help with his resume and record.
Name: Lyon Takahara
Age: 18
Location: Japan
Character in 'The World' : Minoshiya
Coma Victim: Case R2-000 [Me:lawl I put the numbers there in tribute of 'Zero' character]
Observations: AIDA Infection, Coma Victim, Created a AI codenamed; Zero, Harbored the AI known as Adam, Obtained Data Drain Powers, Obtained Illegal Powers through Ultimate AI; Aura, Controls AIDA.
Recommendation: Watch Carefully, Warning Level Red
He sighed as he walked into his apartment and placed down the bag, this was his new home and he was happy about it. He got away from an abusive father and could live on his own with all the money he inherited. Having walked through the apartment and into his room he turned on the computer and walked over to the balcony taking in the sweet night air. " Heh...it's more different than online... " He whispered as he looked at the busy street lights and then turned around and opened up his inbox on his computer.
" Minoshiya of the Azure Hell? Nephilim of the Azure Heaven? " He whispered as he seemed to have gotten such a title from CC Corp and the achievements he had done. Was this compensation for not suing and taking down the company? How cute. Given such titles as Orca and Balmung had received for their goals.
He sat down and looked through other things. " Captured all the AI's...how annoying.. " He whispered as he rested his head on his hand and started to stroke his cheek. " Ah well...at least there's no more bothersome things in the way. " He added with a mischievous smirk as he watched the computer start to show a few errors and suddenly go black as the word; AIDA appeared all over the screen and kept repeating itself. " Well...I'll just wait till they make a move. " He added and looked dwon at his reflection within the computer screen. The screen went black again and the word ADAM appeared in the center in large red letters. " Heh.. " He said as he placed on the M2D set.
Player Minoshiya Logged On.
He opened his eyes once more and then looked down at his white armored self which he got from Aura, a sweet parting gift. " Azure Hell... " He whispered as he sighed and looked up, his eyes turned red as he smirked suddenly in a twisted way. " 'The World' Is all Mine...I've Won. " He whispered.
[You can make a wide open ending, so can I. Mwhahaah! In regards to the post, Adam's hacking allowed the inheritance/failure of his fathers company/failure in any job the man takes, So Lyon/Minos set for life.]

Real World//Dorm Room 210//Morning
When Dex opened his eyes he found himself lying in a bed, two teenagers standing over him.
"Well?" asked one. "Did it happen again?"
"Yeah...Did you get the information I wanted?" Dex asked.
"Well, we did the best we could...but I don't think it's complete. We only got a couple of people." The second guy said.
"Your sure they went into fell into a coma the same time as me though...right?" Dex asked.
"One of them, the others have scattered times." The first replied.
"Ok, thanks alot guys. This really means alot to me." Dex says standing up. "Tell me the location of the definite."
Hospital//Room 946B//Evening
Dex, a nineteen year old male, slowly opens the door to the room. A kid sits on the bed and looks curiously at Dex as he enters.
Dex looks a few moments before saying, in a hesitant voice: "Glace? Is that you? I'm Dex."
(And thus ends an excellent story. I hope to be included if the story does continue, if it doesn't or until then: I congratulate everyone on a job well done and wish everyone luck on the future ventures. ^_^)

Re: .HACK//GENESIS (FINALLY OVER)
((Yay~! ^o^ What an excellent ending. ^___^ Thank you so much, Shikuza~! And everyone else too! It was so fun to RP with all of you. :D))
The real world
The young girl was on the tattered rug, absentmindedly twirling her finger through her shoulder length, dark hair. She was short, very short, and barley fit the clothes she was wearing. Across her right eye was a large, disfiguring scar. She was laying on her stomach, her feet swaying backwards and forwards in the air. She held a yellow crayon in her hand, gently rubbing it against the paper rythmatically, in time with her swaying legs. Crayons of every colour lay scattered around her.
The rough paper showed a multitude of colours. From a distance, the images on it resembled nothing more then unidentified scribbles. But looking closely, one could see a vague resemblance to humans.
People of different sizes and colours, holding swords and staffs and guns. Each one was labeled, with a smiling face next to it. At the "front" of the picture was a golden haired girl, dressed in robes and with mismatched eyes, holding a staff.
Another girl burst into the room, a wide, slightly sinister looking grin spreading across her face. With the exception of her lack of scar and a few extra inches in height, the girl's looked almost identically. The older girl strolled confidently across the room, shooting a meaningful look at her sister. The younger sibling jumped up immediately, excitement shining on her face.
"Did you-?"
The other girl cut off her question with a thumbs-up.
"Conned them into it!" She answered the unfinished question gleefully, "Told 'em I'd use my birthday money a few months earlier, if I had to."
"That's great, Ren!" The younger girl answered, doing a small dance on the spot, "I can't wait! Promise to help me with my new character, alright?"
"Alright," Ren chuckled, "I don't know why we never did this before. It's not like another account costs a lot. We'll probably have it in a few days. Just you wait!"
Rin giggled joyfully, forgetting about her drawing. Ren noticed it and crossed over to it, scrutinising it closely.
"I think Glace's head's a bit big." Ren stated, pointing at one of the bizarre shapes. Ren blushed.
"I guess..."
Ren suddenly gave her sister a light-hearted slap on the shoulder, "You're getting better, though. Keep it up."
Rin's face glowed with pleasure.
The World
A black clad Multi Weapon stood in Mac Anu's golden afternoon light, trying to look tall. This didn't work too well, as she was absolutely minuscule, and tried to make up for this by raising her gray wolf ears as high as she could.
The Multi Weapon punched a fist into the air excitedly, "Ren of the Divine Blades!" She cried excitedly, grinning maliciously.
"Well, you should probably get a few levels before you start calling yourself that." A small voice behind her answered.
Behind the Multi Weapon stood a dark clothed Harvest. Likewsie, she also had gray wolf ears and tail. But unlike her sister's crimson eyes, her eyes remained mismatched. One purple, one golden. Gold also flecked the edges of her silvery hair.
"Awww, c'mon Rin! You need to think positively!" Ren lifted her face to the afternoon sun, the crimson triangular markings on her cheek catching most of it, looking like Christmas lights.
"Together, you and I, we'll be the greatest fighters the Arena's ever known! Greater then even Hikaru-sama~!"
Rin giggled. It was a good dream, but...
"I don't know if anyone will take us seriously, with characters like these. I think Hikaru-san's clothes look a bit strange on a smaller character."
Ren shrugged.
"Let people think what they want. We'll show 'em! And we'll show Hikaru and Uraki and everyone else how strong we can be~!"

((Congratulation for Shizuka, for creating the most successful role play up to date, and a big thank you for those that participated in it as well, eh? XD Amen to that Shizuka, and I hope that you'll make more role plays in the time to come!))
Tokyo, Akiruno Prefecture, Japan: Apartment 102
A small girl looked out her window as she waited for the computer in front of her to start up. The polluted sky of technological Tokyo was really the only thing that greeted her eyes. She sighed and looked back at her monitor, and watched as it began to trigger the ALTIMIT OS program. She picked up the FMD that lay on her table and claimed the small controller in one of her hands. She moved her cursor over the icon that read 'The World' on it, but didn't click it. Something didn't feel right about it, after all, going back to the game only after a week or two from recovering from it...not only that, but she wasn't even sure whether the others were alright. She had let them down in the end...she had been useless, as she had always been from the very beginning.
The girl shrunk back from the mouse and removed the FMD from over her face. She sighed and leaned back on her chair, looking up at the ceiling. She had a heavy feeling in her chest, it made her want to cry, but the tears would not come. She knew that she had to be strong, even if there was no one left around her. Even if she had to tear through the strongest defenses alone, in order to become stronger, she would have to bear with it. After all, in the end, she wasn't alone. Not now...and never again. The vision she saw before the moment she woke up in the hospital was burned into her memory, and she would not forget it as long as she would live.
"So...you're really going away...?" Uraki whispered and looked at the person in front of her. The person's features were obscured by shadow, from the glaring light that shone behind them. But she could tell that the person was a female, judging from their contours and whatnot. The only thing that she could see properly was the person's mouth as they spoke, and the emotions they made. The person sighed and smiled softly, "Your legs are still intact, no? You can make it on yourself, you're stronger now. Whenever you falter, you must remember the emotions you felt with everyone, not just me, but the people that fought alongside you. Never forget their courage, hope, faith and their love," she said quietly and turned around to leave.
"W-wait! What...what do I do now...? Without you...without anyone else...what can I possibly..." Uraki mumbled and looked at the ground, ashamed at how weak and pathetic she was, even though she had come all this way. The person in front of her looked back and smiled again. This time, her features could be seen clearly in the pale light as she looked back for the very last time. "You're not alone. I'll be here for you, no matter where you go...and so will everyone else. Never give up, Uraki," she whispered and turned to leave this time. The Harvest cried out and began to run towards the Multi Weapon, but no matter how quickly she tried to catch up, the person in front of her seemed so far away...
"Hikaru...!!" she cried and reached outwards with everything she had left. The Multi Weapon waved, and the light grew stronger until the Uraki was blinded, and found herself crying in the bed of a hospital...
"That's right..." the girl said quietly and picked up the controller and FMD once more. "I'm not alone," she reassured herself and donned the mechanism on her face once more, then entered 'The World'.

Eternal City: Mac Anu
A blue sphere shone in front of the Chaos Gate within the Dome of Mac Anu, and the glowing azure rings rained onto the ground to reveal a black and white clad character, with shoulder-length silver hair covering their right eye. Their visible eye was a mixed colour of gold and crimson, and two red triangles were pained on their cheeks. Their armour looked like that of a high-level character, and also seemed to be a character design that no other person within 'The World' had seen before. The Character ignored the stared of other Players and descended the stairs of the dome to reach the square.
The soft light of the virtual world glowed on the girl's face, as she watched the masses of Players moving around in order to do what they needed to. Gossip, rumours and requests floated around her as sounds, and she felt the determination and wishes of each of the people within the area. She smiled and looked up, a single tear running down her cheek as she whispered something to herself.

Re: .HACK//GENESIS (FINALLY OVER)
Sorry for randomly posting this. I'm not sure of the story line but, Kite_2000 when you said "Creating the most successful RPT" I began to wonder why is it that there is only 1 RPT to ever finish there's always 1 RPT never more than 1. It takes days, weeks, maybe even months to finish a RPT and in that time no one thought of something ?((Congratulation for Shizuka, for creating the most successful role play up to date, and a big thank you for those that participated in it as well, eh? XD Amen to that Shizuka, and I hope that you'll make more role plays in the time to come!))

You, Kite//Sugo, unfortunately, are being amazingly rude. Whether this role play is over or not, that doesn't give you a right to intrude upon it like this. Shizuka created the storyline, and we also helped in order to make it work. You are honestly showing a disgusting lack of manners on your part by making such a blatant, yet horrendously pointless statement.
At least, I'd have expected you to PM me about such a trivial matter.
Not only that, but what you've just said makes absoloutely no sense, and in my opinion, seems to sound quite arrogant. Mind you try re-wording your response in a PERSONAL MESSAGE?
...By the way...
Do you REALLY have nothing better to do with your life, you know, anything other than messing up the conclusion of a hard, blood and sweat created role play such as this?
I think you should go get a job. If not, get out more. Seriously.

The company has been a nightmare since the incident over a month ago. It doesn't look like things will quiet out any sooner aswell. I guess what occured really left an impact not only in the lives of those who participated, but to CC-Corp aswell. The United States have already banned the game from their country, and it looks like neiboring countries are going to do the same. I wonder what will become of the company when the game is taken off store shelves worldwide. It will lose an extremely heavy amount of money. It wouldn't surprise me if the [The World] is really shut down for good. At least, over the last few weeks, several conferences have been held specifically to address that issue. Furthermore, many associates have already decided to quit CC-Corp. It pains me to have to say goodbye to those who have worked with the company for a long time. But then again, I guess it was to happen sooner or later.
As for me, well...I haven't really thought about what I'm going to do. I'm not about to leave the company the way it is right now. If the entire company decides to leave, then I shall be the one to watch over the game. I don't really think it can be shut down anyways. They tried to shut the game down for good once in the past and it didn't work. It is like the game has a mind of it's own. And perhaps, it does. I have experienced alot of unusual things inside [The World] and somehow, I guess I've grown deeply fond of it. I can't imagine not having that world exist anymore. It would be pretty devistating. It's not only a digital world where players can log in and level up anymore. No. [The World] has evolved and grown. It is the home of Aura. The place where AIDA first appeared, and the place where it last vanished. It is also the home to several other A.Is. Those that inhabit the Net Slums. I can't just allow it to fade away...or to be forgotten. I don't know why, but I have a feeling that Zeami didn't mean to take Aura away forever. He will return her to her world eventually. Maybe even with Mada and Eve.
*sigh*
Hm...Mada and Eve. Those two were the strangest A.I's I've ever encountered inside the game. I wonder why the system, Aura created them? What was their purpose? Regretably, I wasn't able to discover the truth myself. I wonder if perhaps Zeami found out...or maybe, thats the reason he extracted them out of their world in the first place; to figure out..what was so special about them. Perhaps also to do some observations. It is the first time anything like this has occured, the birth of artificial intelligence such as Mada and Eve, and all the other A.I's wondering around the Net Slum...and in the internet. But I guess, in the end, none of them are compared to her, Aura. She is the most strongest program or virtual entity I have ever encountered, aside from AIDA. I think, from the very beginning, she was the key to all the chaos that happened. After all, after my observations in the past, I found out that Eve had tried all she could to get Aura away from her goals. Aura was the only one who could have stopped Eve. Yet...did she really stop her? As far as I know, AIDA has dissapeared completely once again. However, this time I think it escaped the world and vanished...into the internet.
I don't even want to think what will happen from this point on. Such a powerful virus...roaming the internet. It might come into contact with "THE SECOND", another undeletable virus also roaming the internet. Hm...well...theres no use in pondering about it. Right now...I have to focus more on the company. My job is on the line here.
I guess it's time for a new start...

Re: .HACK//GENESIS (Rasken's Journal/ #1)
((I thought I'd do a bit of the history between Ren and Rin, if that's okay. XD; Like, how Rin got her scar, and things. :3))
She sat, her arms around her knees, glancing moodily out the window every now and then, hoping that the familiar white car would come rolling up the drive-way with presents overflowing in the trunk.
She couldn't stand it. Two years ago, on this exact day, she had been born. Wasn't she supposed to get all the attention today?
But no. The baby was all anyone would talk about. Nobody paid her a second thought. Baby this, baby that. She'd been waiting by the window for hours and hours. It was probably just another false alarm. Like it was yesterday and the day before that, and the week before that.
She sighed, brushing a strand of dark brown hair out of her hazel eyes and began to gloomily pick at a cupcake she'd stolen from the fridge. Some birthday cake.
She'd tried subtly hinting for a decent birthday cake for weeks. She was smart for a girl of only two years, and was already a veteran at the art of weaseling things out of her parents. She was used to getting what she wanted.
But not this time.
If she was honest to herself, she had been excited at the thought of another brother or sister. She wasn't sure why, really. It was probably just natural for humans, to be excited by something new, something different.
But now she just saw the unborn child as another mouth. Hindering her life.
To think she could feel such animosity for something that didn't even really exist yet.
Her head jerked upwards as the sound of tyres crunching on gravel bought her out of her stupor. Her heart leaped as she saw her parents strolling to the door, glee shining on the faces, their arms laden with shopping bags.
So they hadn't forgotten!
The girl raced out of the room, wrenched the door open and skidded to a halt in front of her parents, her face reflecting their joy. The expression from her face drained, however, when she saw the bags. They contained clothes- far too small for her, and plush elephants and bottles, and rattles - baby stuff.
"Ren..."
She hardly dared to look at her mother. Her breath caught in her throat as she hesitantly peered at her mother's face. It looked tired, older then usual. Her voice was soft and weary. She was clearly exhausted. But absolute joy overshadowed everything else.
Her mother slowly lowered a bundle in her arms, holding it out so that her older daughter could see clearly.
A small baby lay entwined in layers of cloth. It's face was red, and dried tears caked it's face. It was fast asleep, it's tiny stomach rising and falling in a steady rhythm.
"Ren, this is Rin. You're new sister." Her mother whispered softly.
She leaned forward, gazing at the sleeping baby. Quietly, so that her parents couldn't hear, Ren whispered in her ear.
"I hate you."
It was a late Friday afternoon. Ren was once again in her 'brooding' position. Her arms were once again wrapped around her knees. Her fingers were digging into the bare skin on her lower legs and small pinpricks of blood were appearing. But she didn't care,
She'd just returned home from an afternoon detention. Her parents had left her home while they went for an interview with the teacher. She hated the thought. The stupid teacher would just lie about everything, she knew it! She had bitten that stupid girl for a good reason! No-one was allowed to touch her things without her permission!
She hated school. She had only spent five weeks there, and was already planning on leaving. Who cares if it against the law not to go? Her only comfort was that it was halfway to the school holidays. Then again, she didn't think she could stand another one of what she had just gone through.
She was smarter then the rest of the kids. She knew it. She was already calling 'add up' and 'take away' addition and subtraction, and could count mentally, without the aid of her fingers. Why did the teachers always pick on her?!
"Onee-san!"
Ren growled, drawing her legs in tighter. She couldn't stand that voice.
"Onee-san, do you want to play?" Rin's cheerful voice came from somewhere near the door. Ren growled in reply.
"Onee-san...? What's wrong?!"
"Shut up!" Ren snapped. She couldn't stand it!
"But... I..."
"Go away! I hate you!" All of Ren's built up rage at the little girl before her was at bursting point. She was unable to hold it back any longer, "All mum and dad do is love you! They don't love me anymore thanks to you!"
It was true, in her eyes. Rin this, Rin that. It hadn't changed. Her parents didn't care about her anymore, as far as she was concerned. They only noticed her when she did something wrong, something bad...
"I HATE YOU!!"
"Onee-san-"
"Don't call me that either!!" She didn't want to be her 'big sister' anymore, "I wish you'd never been born!!"
"R-Ren... That hurts...!" She hadn't noticed that she grabbed her little sister's arm, that she was squeezing it as hard as she could, "Ren, let go of me!!"
Somehow, the command was the last straw. To be commanded by her was all she could take.
She let go of her arm and backed off. She wasn't even aware of picking up the object, whatever it had been. All she knew was that it was blunt and heavy, and that she had thrown it with all her might.
The next thing she knew, Rin was crying harder then she'd ever heard her cry before, even when she was a baby, and knew how to do nothing else.
Ren was panting, her arms were shaking. Fearfully she raised her head.
Her sister was half-lying, half sitting. Tears were streaming endlessly down her face. Tears mixed with something red...
She was covering her right eye with her hand. Her hand was stained red, and blood was dripping down half of her face like a river.
"R-R-Ren! I-I-I... I-I'm sorry!!" She bawled, backing away with her hand still covering half her face.
Ren could only stare. Somehow, the sight gave her no pleasure.
((Sorry it's so long. ^^; I felt like writing a lot today. XD))

I don't know if you've noticed this or not, Shikuza, but I personally am ready for another sequel lol, and I think everyone else is too, as soon as you are

((Personally, I'll avoid any roleplay I can for now. I have to much to do and very little time to do so. Anyways, I'm already working on another project. I'll admit, it won't shed light into what occurs in the future after Genesis, but it will shed light into the past. Believe it or not, the past is very important to understand the future. That will be my goal. And as for a sequel...well...all in good time my friend. Be aware however, changes will come. That is all I'll say.))

Re: .HACK//GENESIS (Rasken's Journal/ #1)
huh... well since neither Shadow, nor Chaos knew the others back then, if the past involves those guys, I'll have to make a new character, again. Not that I mind though... If however, you've got something planned for Chaos and Shadow, lemme know. For instance, if your wanting me to come up with a little history about the two of them, I can work on it with their past adventures along with the other 'members of the guild' before they stopped playing. Of course, in order to keep from interrupting the storyline of the 'prequel', I'd post it either here or in the prequel topic when it's done, assuming your interested in seeing what I can come up with. Otherwise, lemme know and I won't spam either thread with it.
Keep in mind that I haven't thought too much into it yet, and I'd have to go back and not only come up with names for a few members of their guild (the shadows of infinity), along with short histories for them for their 'profiles', I'd also have to come up with reasons for their leaving the game before LOCKED, explain Chaos' extended absence from The World that explained why he didn't participate in LOCKED, and much MUCH more. So if I do decide to do it, It won't be a one night project. It would be a long, drawn out thing that I'd work on in my free time when I get home from work using Notepad or whatever. I wouldn't mind doing it, but if there's no real want for it, lemme know and I'll refrain from starting.
Keep in mind, whatever you decide won't impede my choice to be involved with a third new character in the 'prequel' but also to figure out a way to keep him from 'appearing' in the LOCKED time line. I'm just throwing ideas out at the members of this RP to see what they'd think. If only a few of you would like to hear about it, and the rest don't care, I'll probably just send it to the ones that do want it when I decide to do it, in a pm. If enough are interested in it though, say most of you, I'll go ahead and post it in either one, depending on if Genesis survives before I'm done with it or not. If it doesn't I'll send it to the ones that wanted to see it in a pm and post the final result at the end of the prequel if there is one. I can't wait for the next chapter in this story (??/Locked/Genesis/??), and will be happy to take part in it, however I can.

((NOTE: This is a journal and not a continuation of the roleplay.A few journals will be submitted to bring insight into the events after the conclusion of the roleplay. ))
Dear journal,
It has indeed been a while since my last entry. I have undergone much stress since then. The time working under CC-Corp as a system administrador has come to an end, sadly. I'm afraid that game's future won't be so bright now... Well, theres little use in pondering about it anyways.
However, I have successfully completed my mission. It might have taken a little longer than I originally thought, but it was worth it. My time working for CC-Corp has earned me many experiences. Such as, my encounter with the powerful entity that existed within the game. Aura. I never imagined actually meeting her, let alone speak to her aswell. Yet, all that became a reality inside [The World]. And then of course...the return of the dreaded AIDA virus; which was thought to have been deleted a couple of years ago. When sudden reset of the entire network occurred.
Hmm...furthermore, I was intrigued with the existence of those two A.I's, Mada and Eve. Their names are the same ones used in the book of Genesis, although you must turn Mada's name backwards. I then wondered all that time; If Aura has indeed given birth to such A.Is, why name them by the first two humans of our world?...Well, speaking religiously. Did Aura plan to give birth to them so that they could give birth to perhaps...something more? Was she planning on a new beginning for her world? What was her true objective?
Well, soon I'll find out.
A few hours after our escape from one of CC-Corp's main lab in Tokyo, Viola and I, along with the others arrived safetly to headquarters. We have begun preparing for the 'interrogations' that will be done for each of the A.Is we captured. Soon after, we should be ready to start examining them aswell.
And oh yes, that boy. The one who played by the name of 'Shadow' in [The World]. He was taken back to his house before we left the city. Unfortunately for him, we weren't able to grant him his wish of obtaining Hikaru's structure data. I'm afraid she is one of A.I's I've grown...fond of. She has grown and developed alot since the beginning. Also, even though all of AIDA showed many signs of aggression, she was able to supress it and actually help the human players find Eve. It was almost, as if she transformed into a new type of AIDA. An AIDA that is not connected to the rest, An AIDA that can grown and follow it's own path...without aggression. And yes, there were times when she was consumed by hatred. It must be a sign that she is not fully...transformed yet.
Hopefully, I can do something to complete the change.
Hm...what else?
Well. Things arn't going too well for the company as I speak. The United States have banned the game due the game's ability to put people into coma; especially after the LOCKED incident. I can't blame them really. I would have done the same. It was just...too much of a risk. The same situation is now occuring all over the world aswell. And then theres the fact that without Aura, the system cannot function properly or fast. It can't be long before CC-Corp falls and the company becomes extinct.
I can't help, but feel guilty for the game. And for Rasken, too. He was, afterall, my helper during the chaos. He was there by my side looking over the world and it's players. And I...well, I just stood there, watching the selected few trying to solve the mystery behind Mada and Eve...and AIDA. And also, trying to find my chance to finish what I was suppose to do in the first place.
Speaking of which, now that I have aquired Aura. I plan to use her powers to save our real world from another menace... "The Second". The return of another virus thought to have been deleted more than a month ago. The virus responcible for the loss of power from several electrical appliances from all over the world. It was also responcible for a massive black-out in Europe and in North America. And of course, who can forget...it was also the cause of two airplanes that lost all power during flight, and ultimately crashed, killing close to a thousand people.
And now, a month later after the conflicts had seemed to have stopped, another virus appeares that can also apparently affect anything that uses electricity. All the power around Time Square in New York last week suddenlly died. There were many cases of murder, theft, violence, and death because of the loss of power. If this continues...
...no. I won't let it. I must use the power of a goddess to aid us. Many may have ignored me, but now is the time to prove to them just how wrong they were. Aura will be in our side. I know she will...
.
Till then.

Re: .HACK//GENESIS (Zeami's Journal/ #2)
((Note: This is not a continuation of the roleplay, but rather a journal entry used to shed some light into what occurs after the ending of GENESIS.))
Dear Journal,
The news hit me really hard yesterday, when I found out the truth. For a few weeks now I had been wondering wether the game would continue to exist and run, but apparently...a message was sent to everyone in the game. It was a message from some CC-Corp Admin stating that the game was going to be permanently shut down. Every player would have only one last day to play their favorite online game. One last day to say goodbye and depart after strong friendships had been established. That day...is today.
I feel a little relieved that the game will finally rest in piece. No more having to worry about uncontrollable viruses rampaging through the servers or the internet. No more having to worry about falling into a coma and waking up inside a virtual reality. Hmm...but still. Even after everything was said and done, I can't help but feel like doing such a thing is, at the same time, a grave mistake. I mean, during those horrible experiences, I was able to learn from my friends and from those moments of danger and anxiety. I feel that I have become much stronger both mentally and physically because I was able to survive. I owe it to [The World] for the person I am today. If they take something like that away from everyone else...I don't know what I'll do.
...But Anyways, I still have my friends with me. Everyone I met in the game, I still see them almost everyday. It was a surprise to notice that none of them are the way I had imagined from day one. They are all so different. And thats a good thing! Speaking of which, we have decided to gather one last time in [The World] and to have a little party to remember our adventure, but mainly to say goodbye...to the world we tried so desprately to save.
Well, guess I'll be logging on now. For my last time.

Re: .HACK//GENESIS (Glaces's Journal/ #3)
((Note: This is not a continuation of the roleplay. This is a journal used to bring some insight into what occures after the ending of GENESIS.))
Dear Journal,
A week has passed since the fall of CC-Corp. I did everything I could to prevent this from occuring, but after trying I realized this is purhaps the best thing to do for the moment. After all, a game such as [The World] cannot flourish without it's God present.
I spoke with CC-Corp's president the other day. He looked pale and depressed. He wouldn't say much during our conversation except simple sentences. I could tell he wasn't interested in what I was saying. I don't blame him. If I were in his shoes I probably wouldn't have bothered to speak at all. However, I believe he should have concentrated on what I was proposing to him that day. I feel like he denied my request because he couldn't think straight--considering all the commotion that took place here in the CC-Corp Main Building a week ago. I feel sorry for him...
Anyways, about the proposal. I told him I would be starting my own company and so I had gathered a fair number of people who used to work for CC-Corp to join me. I asked him if he wished to join me aswell. However, I guess I'll let him go. For years he was my Boss, and now...his been reduced to nothing, but a stranger I once knew.
I still don't know what to name my company, but our purpose will be to bring into our world a new world. A sister world to [The World]. Thats not to say that the game [The World] will be simply forgotten. No. I have moved the entire game and everything inside of it into a supercomputer. That game will be stored and saved there until Zeami brings me back Aura. I will also be looking after it and the inhabitants of NetSlum. I also plan to create a "Bridge" that will allow them to enter the sister world.
...It won't be easy to do any of this, I understand. It will take alot of time and effort. I will have to do everything I can to prepare for her next coming. I just hope, Zeami doesn't plan to keep her for too long.
But, placing all this aside--I heard some very interesting news a few days ago. There was something on the news about three students attending a university in Japan that fell into a coma when they were playing an online game that was not [The World]. I was very shocked. Could it be that AIDA has already begun to infest other online games? If that is so, then it will do everything it did to [The World] once more. This could mean a complete deletion of all online games, or even chat sites or websites. The entire enternet could be in danger again. I'll have some of my people conduct a more detailed investigation on the game where the students played.
I hope I'm not the only one doing somthing to protect this world. I wonder if Zeami, where ever he is, knows about the coma victims.
Sincerly, Rasken
