.HACK//GENESIS (Rasken's Journal/ #4)

Adam had gave a low hiss of anger and hatred from the wound caused to his body. Having looked up at Hikaru with less interest now than before. Even if she were to attack him her anger would cause her downfall, his biggest issue was Eve. He didn't have time for this frustration, having felt his body like this he laughed actually. " So weak... " He whispered, having known what the loss of his arm would do. He had glowed and disappeared from sight all of the sudden as if camoflauge went over his body.

Minoshiya had been close to calming the snake or at least controlling it when a sudden numb pain went through his left body. " W-..what..? " He whispered as he turned to see his left hand let go of his weapon as it started to fall. " No! My Sword! " He had shouted as the snake eye's lit up and swung it's head to the side making Minoshiya's body slam into one of the pillars. He coughed out blood as he slid down and hit the ground watching the blade he had stab itself into the ground, the snake having moved it's body to surround it as it hissed at him. " D-damn it..my sword.. " He whispered trying to stand up but his left leg failed once more.

The snake had taken it's chance considering the lack of interest for itself and more attention towards Adam's disabled body. Having slithered forward with it's mouth open as Minoshiya's eyes widened and closed tightly. The sudden clash and the Snake's moan having made him wonder if his body was feeling no pain or if he was being eaten, he opened his eyes to see Adam's new form blocking the Mouth with it's one hand. " W-why..are you? " Minoshiya hated this even more, getting protected by this bastard.

Adam had held his arm out and a barrier formed as the snake had attempted to stab through it, it's fangs close to Adam and yet no fear having been in the AI's body. " Come on out Eve... " He had whispered and moved his arm to the side suddenly causing the snake to move with the motion and slammed itself into another pillar. AIDA had started to form from the surrounding area and began to heal his body and torn limbs as he moved towards the snake. " I won't be happy until I have you in my arms...choking and dying... " He had whispered as Minoshiya jumped with his one leg and grabbed his sword, using it to help himself stand. His body beginning to feel it's limbs again...but why now? " What's..going on.. ? " He whispered, panting.

Uraki cried out when Minoshiya was struck by his sword and the snake. She looked back into the air, burshing away the plummage that fell into her eyes, then back at Mino. She shook her head and quickly ran towards her injured friend. "Mi...Mino...!!" she said quickly once she reached his side and began to heal him. "...I'm sorry about before..." she murmured and looked at the ground. Like him, she couldn't meet his gaze, but she didn't care what he thought about her helping him. "Just because there's light and dark...it doesn't mean there's something in between it all..." she whispered and azure light began to outline the Harvest.

Without even turning to look behind her, she knew that Hikaru wasn't going to be friendly to anyone. Not anymore...because she wasn't there. The familiar presence of the Multi Weapon that had been with her for as long as she could remember was gone. Spheres of blue light floated from the girl's outlining essence and shot towards her allies, including Nephilim. Everyone's Players bodies were outlined with the same light of Uraki, and their hit points and skill points had regenerated, along with a large number of physical and defensive boosts.

"Don't hold back, Nephilim! She isn't here anymore...!" Uraki cried out and continued to look at the ground. She sobbed quietly, even though she told herself that they were in the middle of a battle. She couldn't accept the fact that she had disappeared.

Without a single word, Hikaru's scythe began to glow malevolently, as it's once crimson blade began to turn pitch black. She lugned at Nephilim in front of her, a metallic clang echoed through the area as the blade of a scythe met the hilt of another. "There is no hope left for this world...all I can do for this scrap body is delete both it, her and myself..." she hissed in a voice that didn't belong to the female Multi Weapon, her amber eyes glowing with menace.

"Never knowing when to give up, creating false hope even after having her Essence copied to aid the creation of a monster, she didn't falter. The emotions that create this world...I despise them...and thus, the things that create them..." Hikaru said quietly and sparks began to flicker as Nephilim tried to hold off the increasing strength of the Multi Weapon. Both their weapons and arms were trembling, but neither of them slipped, let go or parried. "Light and Darkness hold no place here. The only thing that does is ambition," she said quietly and veins began to crawl down her arms and up her neck.

"One must become a monster to fight a monster..." Hikaru said in a strained and warped voice, now sounding no longer like her own. "Heh, that was the last thing this stupid data said before letting me take over," she whispered and heaved forwards with her weapon. Another clang sounded through the area, and Nephilim was pushed backwards, to her surprise. "You're weak...too weak. That piece of garbage data gave up her conciousness to save you failures? What a farce," she hissed and smirked. "You're going to be killed anyways...so I might as well do it myself..." she finished her sentence and her body was outlined with crimson light once more.

[The World]//Eve's Lair//

Although the overwhelming feeling of grief and dissapointment went through Glace'es entire body, he new it was not the time to give up; especially that very moment when the Data Drain had proven useless. Glace gulped and looked around, watching as Hikaru's mind vanished from inside of her, and then watching as she charged towards Nephilim; not even knowing her friends anymore. It was clear to him that she was no longer the determined girl he knew. Further more, the sudden transformation of Adam and the AIDA snake that continued to exist inside made things only worse. All hell was breaking loose inside this game, Glace thought and closed his eyes trying to shake off his fear. Once he had regained his determination he opened his eyes once more and held his weapon tighter.

"It's just like Uraki said. Just because data drain didn't work, doesn't mean we've lost all hope. We can still stop this...somehow." Glace said and ran towards Chaos, Shadow, and Rein. "Nephilim will probably be taking care of Hikaru. So lets continue with Shadow's original idea and attack Adam while avoid that damed snake." He ordered and turned around, sword and soul at the ready.

Meanwhile, from admist the ranging clouds from above; A small purple sphere was almost visible. Inside the sphere was Eve, watching ever so interested and joyful at the war below her. A small noticable AIDA was also present besides her, apparently also watching. It was a while before she looked at Adam, the AIDA she had grown to admire and detest at the same time. Her bright crimson eyes met with his and she simply smiled. However, suddenlly her purple sphere shattered into several fragments that vanished into thin air. Startled, she looked at the AIDA and then slowly smiled at it. The AIDA suddenlly began to react to Eve. "It is...time." She said.

Just before Glace and the others were about to charge towards Adam. Eve made her presence known by clearing out a portion of the sky where she resided. It almost looked like she simply stood still in the eye of a hurricane, seeing as how the rest of the clouds around her had taken a type of swirl shape. Glace looked up in surprise and haulted almost instantly. So did the others. For a long while, the field had become silent. Adam could only smile maliciously at Eve as she descended from the skies, almost like a God. Hikaru in the other hand, had stopped her onslaught on Nephilim. Everyone's gaze fixed only on Eve as she stopped descending a few feet above everyone. The snake AIDA had raised it's head slowly and looked at Eve, hissing at her calmly.

"You did a good job. You can return now..." Eve ordered and no sooner did the snake release a soft moan; it's black shiny skin separating into several fragments starting from it's head and making it's way towards what seemed like it's never-ending body. While the snake deteriorated into AIDA, Eve expanded her honey-colored arms as if to give the entire area a hug and resumed her smile. "My role...is almost completed."

"Is almost...complete?" Nephilim could only watch as Eve decended from the heavens and banished the AIDA snake. The change in Eve since the last time she'd seen the girl surprised her enough to stop fighting back. Even the transformed Hikaru had stopped her assault to watch the decent of the AIDA girl. What happened to her? When did she become infected? Nephilim and Hikaru floated along side one another in mirror of each other as they watched Eve float smiling. "What do you mean your 'role' is almost complete? What's going on?"

Chaos and Shadow just stood there for a moment, trying to figure out their next course of action. Chaos's face showed a rage almost as pure as it was when he was controlled by Cain. "You... your MINE!" Chaos shouted as he lifted his sword and began to charge. Just as he was about to pass Shadow, Shadow held his hand up into a fist and stopped him (hard). "What the HELL man?" Chaos began as he corrected his jaw and spit out a tooth.

Shadow's face darkened and all he could to was think. "If you rush in like this, you will either be infected like last time, or you WILL die. Or have you forgotten what happened to you? I'm not telling you to not fight, I'm telling you to THINK BEFORE YOU LEAP!" Shadow said as he lowered his hand and his weapon a little to relax just enough to help him concentrate on a plan.

Eve switched her gaze, facing Nephilim; her rather loose and long white hair slowly moving gently from her back, shining with the light of a bright horizon extending between the skies behind her. "I have waited for a long time. Waiting...waiting for this moment. The moment in which I complete my sole purpose for existing. I will begin what I was created for." Eve replied calmly and looked down towards the second sky below her. The curls from her white hair falling like a waterfall into her eyes, blocking them from view. Everyone stood frozen in the moment, wondering in antisapation. Another silence followed.

Complete her purpose? What does she mean? Glace asked himself while taking notice of the rest. Their reaction to the sudden appearance of Eve just as his. Everyone was in complete shock, maybe thinking that this would be their first and last confrontation with the mastermind behind the string of events that had unfolded in the last couple of days, or maybe weeks, Glace couldn't really say. It felt like they had all just slipped into The World a really long time ago. "...H-hey!" He shouted to Eve; catching the edge of her pupil taking quick notice of Glace. "I don't really know why you did everything. Or why you even bothered to get a hold of Mada, or trying to infect all of us with your AIDA..." He said and paused, catching his breath seeing as how his lips were running on pure anger and rage unnoticable. "But one thing I do know...is that you won't get any mercy from us once we defeat you." The words that came out of his mouth were not in his mind as he spoke. The words that came out were the words he had been so desperately waiting to say to Eve.

However, as if to ignore his questions and pretent he was no worthy of existence, Eve turned around slowly and smiled once more. She stood up there, starring deeply into the bright horizon in the distance. Hikaru was already becoming unpatient. She grabbed her weapon even more tightly and grinned. Furthermore, Adam was just as impatient aswell. He peared at Eve and wanted so badly to just charge straight at her and grab her throat; squishing and crushing it slowly and watching her die right before his eyes. Yet, no one did anything. It seemed they all wanted to see what Eve was going to do first. Almost as if it was meant to be.

A moment later, Eve raised her arms into the sky and looked up into the hole. As she did so, a small green sphere became slowly visible in the middle. It was rather pale at first, shining with very little green light. However just as she lowered her arms, the sphere exploded with a more brighter green aura and descended from the skies rapidly, stopping immediatly in front of Eve. Now that it was right in front of her, and closer to everyone, the sphere's size was actually the same as Eve's. What...is that?, Glace wondered.

"This..is Mada." Eve said.

The green sphere shattered in front of her, its fragments scattering below and vanishing just as quickly. At the same time a familair figure was revealed. A pale-skined blond haired boy with a white robe and black necklace with a green ruby at its end stood in front of Eve. It was Mada. He opened his eyes, as if to have awakened from a very deep slumber. His eyes shined with a very pale yet innocent light and he froze when he realized he was in front of Eve. "E..Eve...?"

"Mada!" Glace cried.

A second later, Eve had placed her hand on his chest and slowly lowered it, smiling as she did so. "It is time, Mada. Our role is about to be complete." Mada starred deeply into her eyes, completely frozen and in fear. He then realized for the first time: All this time he had been looking for, he never knew what would occur the moment he did. He only knew he had to find her. As did Eve. Niether knew what would occure after that. However something within Eve was reating violently and uncontrollably. Something like AIDA. Only it wasn't.

Eve retrieved her arm and closed her eyes. Her body began to shine a bright purple. Mada began to shine a bright green at the same time. Around the area, close to the sky, in separate areas away into the horizon, static appeared and a loud screeching sound echoed. Something was coming...

Everyone turned to face an immense light that seemed to be growing off in the distance. "...What?" Eve asked, starring at the glittering light. Mada slowly turned his head to see the white light; his golden curls swaying away from his green eyes. Once he caught sight of the growing light his eyes widened and soon became watery. "...That light." he said silently. " I've seen it once before." An image appeared inside his mind then. An image of the same bright light engulfing him that day. The same day he thought he had found Eve. Only he now remembered. Within the shining light, he saw an orb and a girl inside. At first he had confused her for Eve, but he knew she wasn't what he had sought for. However, the girl's presence was familiar somehow. And now still, the nearing brightness was accompanied by that same familair presence.

Eve drifted forwards, moving Mada as she did. "...it's you, isn't it?" She asked the light. The light had finally grown close enough to the point where everyone had raised their hands to shield their eyes. Then there it was. The white girl mada had first encountered the day he rescued the players during the Locked incident. Because of her help, he was able to buy the players time to escape and finally be released back to their bodies in the real world. The girl in white had done that. It was Aura. She was covered in the same long silver dress with the white ribbon on her neck. Her face blended in with her hair and the light; only two small blue eyes could be seen.

"I hope you know you have interfeared with my plans for the last time!" Eve shouted in anger, her eyes suddenlly becoming swallowed in darkness. "I will not allow you to stop this! It's time we settled this for good." She continued, only her voice changed into a much more lower tone.

The static and the loud sounds continued. Adam began to prepare himself to attack by this point. His interest was now on the bright girl ahead of him. Who was she? Where did she come from? And why did Eve know her? The questions raced like currents in his head over and over again. Even the AIDA that still lurked close to Eve seemed to react violently to Aura. Something about her made it scared. And worst of all, Adam could feel it's fear. It was clear to him that the new girl was a threat to him and his plans. The only thing he could do was try to defeat her.

Hikaru grew immensly impatient and released a cry of frustation. "I had enough of all this!" She shouted and charged straight towards Adam. "I'll kill you first! Then I'll kill Eve! Then I'll kill the girl!"

Adam quickly shifted to a defensive mode and blocked the attack from Hikaru. Then he jumped some distance away, preparing himself to defeat Hikaru before attacking the girl in white. "...What a waste. And here I thought you'd be useful."

At the same time, Aura turned and faced Eve. "I will give you one more chance." She said in a quiet and frail voice. Eve grinned and placed her arms over her hips. "For the last time. I will never give up. I know what I have to do...and I plan to do it. Now stop interfearing with me and die!" Eve released a purple ray from her hands and it charged towards Aura in an incredible speed. Aura's light gathered around the ray and stopped it. Seconds later the ray had completely vanished. The light moved away, allowing the rest to see Aura once more. Although no one noticed, Aura had a trail of tears in her cheeks.

"...Eve. I'm so sorry,...but I won't allow you to do as you wish." Aura replied in great sorrow.

The static grew uncontrollably and so did the screeching sound. Glace placed both his hands over his ears and fell on his knees over the invisible floor, not watching as the others did the same. Nephilim was at a distance so the sound didn't affect her as much. She was now even more concerned about Hikaru as she clashed with Adam. She didn't know whether to aid Hikaru in battle or try to help Aura stop Eve. She didn't want to be hurt again by Hikaru.

"Damn! Just what in the hell is going on now?!" Glace screamed, now standing up and walking away from the light, where the sound seemed to be coming from. However, due to the static that randomly appeared in front of him, going far became impossible. He slowly turned and faced Aura, who did nothing but stand still with a sad face starring at Eve. "...How can we...stop her?" He shouted. "How can we stop...Eve?"

Aura slowly switched her gaze onto Glace.

"I will do everything I can to stop her. I need you to get Mada as far as you can....away from Eve." She said. Suddenlly Eve realized what Aura was going to try to do. She would try to separate Mada and Eve, which meaned neither of them could "finish" what they were created for. As she did so, she quickly turned and tried to grab onto Mada. However, Aura had somehow managed to stop her before she did. Eve had been paralyzed by an invisible force.

"Hurry..." She said. Afterwards Glace saw as Mada fell from above and land near him. "Mada!"

Glace hurried and catched up to him. He was about to fall, but Glace helped him up. Eve watched in deep hatred from above and extended her arm slowly. "You may...stop my movements...,but you can't stop...my power!" She yelled. The AIDA that had been lurking in the distance, the same AIDA that had been near her all along, suddenlly shot towards Glace. "N-no....Aaaah!"

Just when it seemed like it was about to infect him, two figures appeared in front of him; both using their weapons to block the AIDA. It took a moment before Glace realized the figures were in fact Chaos and Shadow. They were using the weapons Minoshiya had given them. "Don't worry Glace. We'll block it so it can't get Mada nor you." Shadow spoke, trying to stop the AIDA from sending both of them flying. "You guys...I...I..." Glace said, not knowing whether to help them or just run.

"Just go!" Chaos yelled.

"...o-okay." He said and took a hold of Mada, putting his arm under Mada's arm to support him. Mada was weak and looked like he would faint any minute now. "We'll...get through this, Mada. Don't worry." Glace supported.

Nephilim noticed the struggle down below and decided she would help them out. She flew towards Shadow and Chaos and noticed the AIDA they were both blocking. She also saw Glace carrying Mada away. She gasped and cried. The sight of Mada as he was now just pierced her heart. Almost like a mother did to a son. Anger reached her and she landed behind Chaos and Shadow. "Both of you! I want you to release that AIDA. I'm the one who will delete it..." She said and prepared of combat.

A moment later, the AIDA managed to break through, sending both of them flying in opposite directions. However, when it saw Nephilim it came to a sudden hault and stood still. Nephilim smiled at it. "I promise you...you won't get to Mada. Not when I'm here." She said. The AIDA reacted Violently and doubled in size, changing shape into what looked like a human. A human with abnormally long hands and feet. Black skin with red stripes racing like vains around it's body. It had two empty eye sockets and no mouth. It groaned at Nephilim and prepared to attack her.

And now it seemed like hell had broken loose. Three major battles in one finale place. A rage-driven Hikaru against Adam. A determined Nephilim against Eve's AIDA. A sorrowful Aura against her own creation: Eve.

Dex was in the distance, helping Rein away from the noisy light, right behind Glace. Meanwhile, both Chaos and Shadow ran behind Nephilim with weapons in their hands. "I hope you're not thinking of taking it on on your own, Nephilim." Chaos said. Although she didn't say it she felt even more determined having company. "...thank you."

"Glace! We'll look after your back!" Dex shouted. Even though Glace didn't turn to see him, he knew they were there and he felt even more safer.

CC-Corp Building//Control Room//

"Damn. Whats going on?" Zeami shouted in anger, hitting his hands on the desk in frustration. The only survaillance system they had installed within the area inside [The World] had malfunctioned and as a result, they no longer had any view of what was going on. The last thing they saw was the bright light in the distance.

"Sir. Something had to interfear with the system. The players might be in danger!" Viola cried, immediatly stepping up from her seat and placing one hand over her head while the other massaged her neck. She was scared and exhuasted. The thought of the only ones who could save the game losing came at her like a ton of bricks. "Mister Zeami...we have no other choice. We have to activate the program...now!"

Zeami placed both his hands over his face and sighed; the screen in front of him portraying nothing but static. "Al-alright. I think it's time too. Viola...activate...program: RAPTURE."

With those last words, Viola quickly retreived to her seat and begun typing furiously at her keyboard. Nothing but a black screen and white digits showing up rapidly within the monitor as she continued. Suddenlly, a small grey window popped up. It asked Viola whether she was ready to commence program RAPTURE. Viola pressed the enter key and a lound ping sound was heared coming from the speakers. Zeami watched as the small window reading: operation in process closed.

"Alright then. The operation has begun. It will take a few minutes before the rapture actually begins. Though I can't say how long it will take...it's the first time anything like this has been used." Viola said. Zeami looked away from the computer and starred at Rasken's real world player; the guy laying unconcious in the corner of the room. He would recover in about two to three more hours. But by then, hopefully, Viola and Zeami, along with their equipment would be gone.

"Forgive me, Rasken." He said silently and turned back to the screen in front of Viola. "Ever since I came to CC-Corp...I knew what I had to do. There is no going back now." He continued, Viola taking notice of his words.

[(cudos Shikuza, you muled my chars pretty well in my opinion.) by muled, I mean controlled without my before hand knowledge. The name comes from the fact that normally when it's done, it can make a 'mule' out of the characters themselves. This isn't the case however, don't worry.]

Chaos and Shadow stood side by side, flanking Nephilim's position. Shadow prepared a skill trigger while Chaos pulled out a scroll for a spell. "Lei Zas!" Chaos shouted simultaneously with Shadow's attack, "TEMPEST BLAST!". As beams of light shot out of Chaos's hand, similar beams erupted from the barrel of Shadow's gun. Seeing his opportunity for a quick attack, Chaos ran in and began a normal combo hit, doing anything in his power to get a rengeki ready for Nephilim.

Seeing this, Shadow quickly did the same, his attacks obviously not doing enough to really hurt the creature, but still doing enough to boost the hit count. Not too long into it, The rengeki was ready. "Neither I nor Chaos can use skills yet, it's up to you Nephilim!"

Chaos shot a quick look over to Nephilim, "Something powerful, hurry up!"

Total damage 30 normal attacks, two specials, 300 + 100 = 400

As Hikaru slashed at Adam, a white light began to form around her body. Her arms trembled with the effort to keep her weapon's gear constantly sending sparks flying against Adam's shield. A small, glowing crack formed, then it slowly grew larger until the shield around Adam shattered into tiny, glittering shards of light, raining down upon the area below them. Their eyes met for a brief moment, and Adam noticed that Hikaru's eyes were her normal crimson now. "I was a fool to almost lose myself in order to battle something like you," she said quietly, and her wings and advanced armour faded into nothing, leaving her in her previous form.

However, the Multi Weapon stood in mid-air, standing normally, as if she were on an invisible platform. Suddenly, weapons appeared around her, floating around her in a sphere-like formation. "Aura is here...and I will protect her with what life I have left," she whispered in a weak voice and waved her arm at Adam. The steel and iron around her immediately raced towards her opponent. Some dug themselves into him, while others slashed at him relentlessly. The Multi Weapon roared and charged at Adam, her Scythe clutched in her hands.

"This is where you will fall!"

"Glace!!" Uraki shouted and an azure sphere surrounded his body, including Mada. "We're counting on you!" She called out to him and turned her back on him, not wanting to look back. Yes...this is the last stand. This is where we shall unite as one...
"This is where we shall prevail!" The Harvest exclaimed to the others and looked at Minoshiya. "What you do is your own choice, but we will always be here to support you. Even if we disappear for a while, it doesn't mean that we've forgotten about you," she said quietly and turned to face the Essence of Eve, and looked up at the glowing figure of Aura. "What we're witnessing here...with our very own eyes...is a miracle," she whispered and pointed her staff at their last opponent.

"Aegis!" she called out, and a shield of white light immediately enveloped Nephilim, Shadow, Chaos and Minoshiya. "You don't need to fight for us, but we will protect you and each other until the very end."

As the white light merged into Nephilim's own, Her sapphire eyes locked on the AIDA before her frozen in Rengeki rings. "Before Aura's might you stand. Through me, she shall smite thee! RENGEKI!!" She yelled out as the area turned dark and her scythe vanished. From her side, she pulled a long sword made of light to bear in front of her, feathers drifting from the blade.

"*Shinji!!" She shot forward, slashing the AIDA three times before shashing it high into the air. "Triple Valesti!! ONE!" She fired a bolt of energy at the AIDA and encased it in a crystal as a shadow of Nephilim shot high above the AIDA and split the crystal with an overhead slash before fading.

"TWO! A white glow held the AIDA in the air as Three spears impaled it and another shadow Nephilim appeared, this on leaping high as it flared two wings and a fourth larger spear formed in her hands as she threw it at the AIDA and impaled it. The spears shattered as the shadow faded.

"THREE!!" Three more spears hit it just as before as the real Nephilim leapt high. All 6 of her large wings flared as they poured energy into Nephilim's hands to form a spear that dwarfed the Angel in size as she moved it to point at the AIDA. "Nibelung Valesti!!" She surged forward with the massive weapon, faster and faster until she hit the AIDA. Time seemed to slow a moment before a flash lit the area, concluding the attack as Nephilim came to a sliding stop past the AIDA.

Minoshiya watched with confusion flooding his mind, everything was going into chaos at this point in the battle. He recalled Aura being a legend and having abandoned the world when she saw the trouble she had caused, yet because of all this it came to a match between AI's. Hikaru herself...Adam..

" Stop it! " He had shouted as he jumped forward and crossed with Hikaru before she could meet with Adam. " I won't let you.. " He whispered while suddenly swinging his sword and pushing her back. " He wants to kill Eve...then let him help us..it's gonna do us no good if we separate our attack force amongst ourselves while she's within reach! " He shouted at her with his sword drawn, Adam's form having stood still as he turned his head and sensed something far off.

" Finally Zeami.. " He whispered as he knew they had started the program up. Adam Would win, once everything was deleted and once they had assumed it was safe to bring out the game once more he'd take over. He laughed gently and floated up to watch all the chaos. " Everything..will be mine.. " He whispered as he watched the battles unfold.

He recalled giving a visit to the man once he was free, simply because of curiosity of the creator he was supposed to be. "Useless...Data's nothing but corrupted.." He whispered while flicking his long golden locks from his face and turning around.

"Why did she have to meet him...

Adam had already turned his back on the man and sighed once he talked, turning his head back and looking at him with simple curiosity.

"It won't do any good...that meeting."

It was annoying him, having turned his whole body around and taken more steps towards him so he was in front of the man. " What're you talking about..? Her..Him?...Eve and Mada?" He asked from curiosity as he crossed his arms. He was jealous that the girl obsessed about that boy when he was nothing but an idiot to Adam's Eyes, always whining and crying about Glace or meeting her.

"I'm nothing...Lifeless...Souless...But I wanted to have her with you....And then that accident happened...I was then all alone...just like you.."

Adam growled and raised his sword at the man's face with anger growing in his eyes. "I'm not alone...I won't die a simple program! I already have plenty of plans for Minoshiya...I'm not going to disappear...I'm not gonna be alone! He shouted as he turned around and started to walk.

" She is yours...She is Ours...My Beautiful Daughter....you were born from Him....

Adam twitched as he stopped and placed a hand on his side, the pain was still there even in his programming. That similar sensation of data being ripped out of his insides just for 'Her'.. " You were A Lousy Father...And even worse Creator.." He whispered and disappeared.

Clasko's ID provided him enough security clearance to get within the CC Corp without detection, thats where the program of theirs was more than acceptable for him. " Haha..no matter what happens now I've won... " He whispered as he watched Aura closely. Something inside of him felt like it was being twisted as he watched her fight with Eve, yet both girls were nothing to him any longer. He'd watch for now, deal with any problems that'll build up later.

Shadow, his skill trigger recovered, jumps back a few feet while Chaos, who's skill trigger has also recovered, got a dark smile on his face. Vincent went first while Chaos added a few more hits with physical attacks. "Sphere Bullet!" He says as he fires off a large sphere shaped bullet at the enemy.

When Shadow's attack was finished, Chaos activated his skill trigger in response. "Shell Breaker!" He shouts as he performs the skill while Shadow resumed his physical attacks. Resuming his attacks as well, the monsters health drops to zero and it's protect barrier is broken. "Ok... where's Glace?" Chaos asks not knowing that his bracelet was spawned from Nephilim's.

Shadow simply smiled at Chaos and turned his head to Nephilim. "Do it..." He said to Chaos as the two of them pressed their blades down on the creature, holding it in place with their weapons. "Unfortunately, this is the most our weapons can do. Nephillim, finish it." Shadow said calmly as he and Chaos held the creature in place so that she couldn't miss.

With it's protection broken, Nephilim needed little more urging. Her bracelet formed and began building power when static flared around her and it deactivated and faded. "What?" She looked at it a moment before realizing that between Aura, Eve, Mada, and Adam, there was too much interference for a normal Data drain to take place. Even her powerful one couldn't quite make it to firing. "But I know what I can do to destroy this...Clear out!" The AIDA burst into Rengeki status as she smiled and her two friends leapt to safety. "Rengeki!" Like before, the area went dark, this time with her flicking in and out of sight until she appeared high above. "Shinji!" She raised her hands in front of her as a ball of energy and Data drain power mixed in her hands. She let it grow larger and larger until she felt it strong enough and grabbed a hold of it. "Ether Strike!!" She pulled back and launched the sphere down to hit the AIDA, exploding on contact and dissolving the AIDA as if it were turned straight to ash. The last black bubbles vanished and Nephilim flew down. "Did Glace and Mada escape yet?!"

Chaos and Shadow watched in awe as Nephillim attacked the target, neatly and cleanly destroying it. "Well done..." Shadow said as he sheathed his gunblade while Chaos sheathed his broadsword.

Chaos looked around, "To be honest, I don't know for sure." He says calmly as he examines their surroundings.

"...Y-you...why do you insist...on stopping me?" Eve asked Aura, still struggling to move forward, yet only able to do nothing but watch as Glace got farther and farther away with Mada in his arms. "...Why didn't you ever...give up? Why...is it so important for you...to stop me?" Aura did not reply. She kept her eyes close, apparently concentrating on keeping her from moving. Eve slowly moved to face Nephilim, who had just defeated the AIDA; her anger rising. "Just you wait...you won't get your way. I'm...I'm still stronger than you...ehehehe."

Glace had managed to take Mada a long distance away from Eve. Uraki, Dex, and Rein were slowly catching up to him aswell. " M-Mada?" Glace asked, trying to regain his breath. "I never thought I'd...get to see you again." Mada slowly raised his face and smiled back at Glace. "...destiny." He said, and Glace understood. He smiled again and prepared to resume their long walk, to go as far as possible. "Alright, Mada...lets go."

Just when they were about to start walking again, Aura's voice suddenlly surrounded them. "Stop."

Glace froze and looked behind, noticing only Uraki and the rest. Then Aura's voice came back again. "I will open a door to which you will enter with Mada. Your friends must go through it aswell...hurry." Shortly after, a black whole appeared in front of Glace. Within it were several numbers, apparently data, and an never-ending darkness. "...Okay. We're going in. Are you guys ready?" He asked the others. Uraki and Dex nodded in unision, while Rein's face was replaced with bewilderment. "Just where the heck are we going now?" She cried.

"We don't know, but we have to go through. NOW!" Glace yelled back. Without hesitation, he grabbed on to Mada tighter and jumped into the Black Whole, suddenly vanishing within the data. Uraki jumped in too, followed by Dex and a reluctant Rein. Seconds later the blackwhole closed.

"Did Glace and Mada escape yet?!"Nephilim asked. "To be honest, I don't know for sure." Chaos replied shortly, scouting for any signs of them in the distance. Soon it became clear to them that not even Uraki, Dex, nor Rein were anywhere near them. "It's like...they vanished." Shadow said shocked. He turned to see Aura still trying to stop Eve. "I don't think it's a good idea to ask her either..." he continued. "Well, in any case, they may have made it safe to where-ever they were suppose to go. We should head towards Hikaru and help her. She still fighting Adam." Chaos spoke. Nephilim continued to wonder but finally decided to do as Chaos had said. "Alright then. Lets go."

Everything had somehow become completely black. Glace could hear the sounds of a raging wind off into the distance somewhere. He could also hear very quiet sounds of static and electricity. Then, slowly, the unfamilair sounds of people speaking, strange voices and conversations that made no sense. Although not fully aware of it, he was actually being tugged on by something. Finally, he felt his body awake and very slowly opened his eyes, seeing a blurry yellow figure above him.

"Who...are you?" Glace asked the figure. It slowly moved away, then a large shining light engulfed Glace'es vision. "...Huh...? Where...am i?"

Glace slowly stood up, now his vision was clear. He noticed Mada standing in front of him, looking relieved. "Mada!" He cried. Then suddenlly, he became fully aware of his surroundings. Glace, Uraki, Dex, and Rein were all standing in what looked like a city with racing clouds above in the sky. He noticed many strange people or creatures lurking near by; some hiding within the darkness of alleyways, others standing close to Glace and his friends looking awfully puzzled. "Wh-who are they?" Glace asked.

Mada looked around, taking notice of the A.Is that surrounded them. "There like me." He said. Glace slowly looked at Mada. "What do you mean?"

"They are just like me. They were created...inside this world." Mada continued, making no sense to Glace. "Just what is this place, anyways? It looks like some downtown or something..." Rein said behind Glace.

Suddenlly, the static increased loudly and the entire area became distorted. Mada looked up, pointing his finger into the distorted sky. "....It's coming. The darkness...it's coming."

"What?!" A large black whole spread open in the sky, releasing bubbles of AIDA. Then the blackwhole closed, leaving the AIDA in sky, where it began to descend slowly upon the players. "Crap! It must have gotten through portal somehow." Dex said. "It doesn't matter. We'll have to fight and defend Mada. Everyone...get ready." Uraki ordered, quickly casting supporting spells on everyone. "Right." Glace replied, getting in front of Mada and preparing to battle too.

The AIDA shot to the ground near them, creating more static. Then it rised up again, this time changing it's shape to the same humanoid look from earlier. He was a tall black man with long arms and long legs. Red stripes racing from the top of his head to his legs. However, his eyes sockets were now occupied with green spheres that almost looked like eyes. It ripped open a mouth of it's own, showing them it's sharp teeth as saliva slowly slid from his mouth into the ground. The AIDA released a soft whisper and raised both it's hands, where at their tips, more AIDA bubbles formed.

"It's going to attack. Mada, get away!" Glace shouted and charged to attack the AIDA, hopeing to stop it from releasing more AIDA into the area. "You won't get Mada! We won't let you!" He screamed and quickly jumped up, releasing a rapid Moon Wave in front of the monster, pulling it away by only three feet. A second later, Dex jumped behind it, slashing it with multiple skills. Rein casted powerful magic attacks from afar. Finally, Uraki managed to cast a powerful magic attack that released rays of bright light that struck the AIDA at it's chest stunning him for a moment. However, it's arms were still raised and the AIDA was still there too. Without warning, it begun to spin quickly, swinging his arms around and hitting Glace, Dex, and Uraki before they could avoid it.

Glace crashed into a building near the battle and fell to the floor. "Hehehe...we're not going down." he said, barely able to stand and take hold of his sword.

The monster turned to face Rein in the distance and extending it's arm, suddenlly grabbing her by her neck. He lifted her up and swang her wildly until she finally hit another of the buildings, creating a large crack. Rein fell to the floor, unable to even get up anymore. Her hitpoints were dangerously low.

Before Nephilim, Shadow, and Chaos could reach Hikaru, the voice of Aura stopped them. "You must go to your other friends...they need your help." It said. Then a black whole opened in front of them and sucked them in.

Hikaru wasn't able to notice she was no alone with Aura, Eve, and Adam, but she continued to battle Adam. Meanwhile, Aura opened her eyes, looking at Eve. "You are not...my creation. I won't let you win." She spoke, almost as if to speak into Eve's very soul. Eve's eyes ignited with renewed hatred and she laughed at Aura. "So you knew all along, did you? Well...it isn't going to make things any easier. Hehehe."

Three blue rays of light appeared a few feet from the AIDA, in which the characters of Nephilim, Shadow, and Chaos came into view. The three of them were just as confused at to where they were now, but after seeing Rein, Uraki, and Dex on the ground and in bad condition, they quickly hurried to restore their health. "Another AIDA?" Asked Chaos as he finally noticed the black humanoid creature walking closer to them with a wicked glare in it's eyes. "Hmm...it looks like the one we fought a while ago, but it's eyes..." Shadow said, already preparing himself to fight it. Nephilim also got ready.

"You're here!" Uraki shouted in joy, feeling like they had a better chance at defeating it. "Alright. Lets take this thing out once and for all." Glace said, also feeling more determined than ever to destroy it. Mada stood away from the battle, frightened and confused. A small creature made it's way to his back and poked him then. Mada turned and saw a small boy with the number "1" as a head. He wore torn clothing that seemed like that of a Cleric's with a corrupted wand in his small hand. "...I se- t5e 9utur3." It said. Startled, Mada took two steps away from the boy. "...You do?" He asked back. "Can you tell me...what my future is?"

The creature stood quiet for a moment and then finally shook his head. "...Y08'l bE ta&e( +o A #e* LaNd."

"Mada!" Cried Glace. Mada quickly turned to see Glace still fighting the monster. After Glace had confirmed where Mada was, and realized he was far from the danger, he resumed his attacks. Mada however, turned back to see the weird boy, but he was gone. Mada stood still for a moment trying to understand what the boy had said. Finally he closed his eyes and embraced himself, as if he was cold. "...Were will I go?" He asked. The boy was not there to answer Mada's question.

As the battle between Hikaru and Adam raged on, Aura's strength was beginning to decrease as she struggled to keep Eve from moving. "How long have you known...that I existed inside of her?" Eve asked Aura. Aura looked at her once again with sorrow and despair in her eyes, not wanting to answer. "I knew...when you rejected me." She replied and closed her eyes again, more tears falling. Aura raised her arms up to her chest and looked down. The light that engulfed her seemed to be reacting to something. Static was rising again.

Suddenlly, a loud screech roared everywhere in the The World. Adam and Hikaru came to a sudden hault in their battle and stood frozen. The sound vanished as quick as it came, and Eve looked up into the sky, as if it had originated up there. Aura slowly opened her eyes and looked around. "Something...has started." She said. Eve suddenlly realized she was able to move and flew higher away from Aura, who seemed to be distracted for the first time. "Hehehe...goodbye." She said and suddenlly Eve was engulfed with three red rings, dissapearing as they reached her face.

Aura looked to the towards the direction where Eve had vanished then, having sensed the program Zeami installed. It seemed it was about to begin. "...There is no escape, Eve. It would seem...we are all wanted...elsewhere."

In Net Slum, static also gave rise, and the screeching sound echoed aswell. Everyone stopped their attacks. Above the AIDA monster, the sky was warping, creating a tunnel through the data. The static continued to increase. Everyone pulled away from the AIDA then.

"Whats going on?" Glace asked. Everyone seemed dazzled by the tunnel. Just then, a familair figure slowly came out. Eve.

Uraki, Nephilim, and Rein gasped at her entry. "No way...why is she...here?" Rein asked in disbelief.

"Hehehe." She giggled, looking down at the players. "Times up."

Eve placed both her hands in her chest and smiled. Slowly, a black orb started to come out. She began to scream in pain until the orb was finally out of her chest. It floated in front of her and was surrounded by a small purple bubble, kinda like the one that had trapped Aura for a long time. Eve suddenlly feel to the ground, besides the AIDA. It seemed she had fainted.

Everyone looked at the orb in bewilderment, while Mada's eyes widened as Eve's body hit the floor. "...Eve!!" He cried.

The purple orb made it's way just above the AIDA. The AIDA grabbed it with his long hands and placed it in front of his chest, also flying into the sky as it did. Then he began pulling the orb into his chest until it finally went in. Suddenlly, it's body was outlined with a white light and his eyes changed into a dull purple. "...Lets finish this." It said.

The AIDA, now possessed, grabbed Eve's neck and lifted her up. In an act of anger, Mada ran towards the AIDA. "Mada--No!"

"Let her go!" Mada cried. The AIDA simply looked down at him and then, quickly, grabbed his neck with his spare arm, lifting him up aswell.

"Mada!!"Uraki shouted. "Let him go!"

"Thats it! You've really pissed me off now." Nephilim said, charging towards the AIDA. With no other hands to attack, Nephilim prepared to perform one of her skills in hopes that it would be a direct hit. Unfortunately, before her skill hit the AIDA, a new arm sprung from the AIDA's chest and pierced her stomach, stopping her.

"NEPHILIM!!" Chaos screamed, shocked.

A second later, the AIDA's arm desintrigated into thin air. Her body fell to the floor hard. Quickly, Glace and Uraki ran to her and sheltered her. "What the hell?! Did it just get stronger?" Dex shouted angered.

Uraki tried desprately to restore Nephilim's injury, but none of her healing spells seemed to work on her. The whole in her PC's chest was slowly spreading; zeros and ones began to fly into the air and vanish. Her character was slowly being ereased.
"Gl-glace...don't let...it...kill...them..." Nephilim said, her voice leaving her as she spoke. Soon, her voice was gone. But her lips seemed to be struggling to say words. Words that could not be heard.

"Nephilim! Hold on!" Uraki cried again, this time tears were running down her cheeks. Her vision was growing blurry and she kept wipping her eyes, but it wasn't working. Her tears were still coming out. Nephilim was slowly fading away...from The World.

"Nephilim...I won't let you down." Glace said, standing up to look at the AIDA in the sky. "I WONT LET YOU WIN!" He shouted and jumped up, ready to strike the AIDA. "Haaaaaaa!" At the same time, Chaos, Shadow, and Dex all joined in to attack the AIDA and release both Eve and Mada. Halfway to the AIDA, the creature engendered several more arms from it's body and truck all the players down to the ground in unision; all of them with a whole in their characters. The arms vanished instantly. Rein realized that none of them were getting up or even moving. Her eyes began to water and fear overwhelmed her that moment.

"...Gl-glace?" She asked, horrified. His body lay still. "...Dex? Chaos?...Sh-shadow?"

Afterwards, zeros and ones began to appeare from their bodies and rise to the sky, where they vanished.

"No. They're all...they're all...dieing." Uraki managed to say. When she looked at her arms, she realized Nephilim had completely vanished. She too, was overwhelmed with fear.

"Now. Now I can finally see...the end." The AIDA said. "No one can stop me now. Hehehe."

AIDA particles shot from his fingers and into Mada's neck, aswell as Eve's. Their eyes opened wide, where a sea of black began to cover their entire eyes. Their pupils grew bright red.

"...Ma-da.." Eve said. "...Please forgive me..."

"...I...I..forgive you..." Mada replied.

Eve closed her eyes then. Images appeared in her mind. She was remembering something about her past. She remembered a young boy in white. A girl too. Then she remembered...AIDA.

"...Please forgive me..." She said softly. A tear came out from her eye and fell to the ground.

Now that the AIDA had controled both Eve and Mada, he made them raise both their arms next to each other, as if to give eachother a hug.

"Now...you are finally together." It said.

When Mada's hand was an inch away from Eve's a wall of red hexagons appeared above it. "Wh-what...?" It raised it's head to see it grow into a cube around it, trapping it inside. "Whats this?!" The bodies of Mada and Eve were also trapped into a similar cube, separating them once more. "No! Whats going on!" It cried.

Suddenlly, the red cube around Mada shined brightly, then it vanished with Mada inside. The cube around Eve also shined and vanished with her inside.

Finally, the red cube began to shine around the AIDA. "NO! I WON'T ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN!!" Several AIDA bubbles formed in massive amounts inside the cube. Slowly, the cube cracked until it finally burst open. The AIDA flew up, frightened and shocked. "Wh-wheres EVE...where's MADA?"

Down below, both Uraki and Rein watched in horror as the bodies of their friends faded away, never to be seen again in their lives.

"All of them...gone." Rein said softly. "...our friends...gone."

Uraki didn't speak. She fell the entire world fall on top of her that moment. All of the fights they had won. The fact that they had managed to make it so far and then...die in the end. It hit her hard.

"....We...we lost?" She said in a whisper. Then, she fell to the ground, unconsious.

Red hexagons formed above Aura, like it had to the AIDA. Quickly, it multiplied and trapped her within a cube aswell. However, Aura lay still. She made no attempts to free herself. Even if she did, she didn't have alot of power now. She closed her eyes and gently extended her arms.

Meanwhile, the same thing had occured to both Hikaru's character and Adam's aswell. They were both trapped inside red cubes. As hard as they tried, they couldn't break away. In a moment's time, the cubes vanished into thin air. Both were gone.

"...I'll use the last of my will...to save you...heroes of...The World."

Slowly, a small white sphere appeared from inside of her hand and it gently floated away from the cube. The sphere flew into the white sky and vanished.

Aura was now gone aswell.

Everything was white. There were no sounds. No colors. No feelings. No pain. Everything was non-existant. All he saw was the memories of his experiences in The World, that popular online game he had head so much about. Yet now. Now he was done. He was finished with everything having to do with The World. Ironic, was it. Well, it didn't matter. The time had finally arrived. His nightmare was over.

It seemed that way anyways...

When the whiteness was gone. Darkness took it's place.

Glace slowly opened his eyes and saw white again. He wondered for a second, why was it so white? Was there a reason? however, when he realized he was'nt that strange city anymore, he quickly got up. The strong rays from the sun hit his upper body then. Glace slowly turned to see a window where the sun rays were coming from. He heard the chirping birds and distant traffic. The sound of people just outside of the room where he was. The crickets outside. His heart, beating gently for the first time.

"Am I...am I...awake?" He asked himself. Slowly, he raised his hands in front of him and looked at them. He looked around the room and realized he was in the hospital. It didn't seem to make any sense. All he remembered was Nephilim dieing and the image of the AIDA monster. Everything else was a blurr.

"Oh no! Nephilim! Uraki! Everyone!" He shouted, remembering the rest. "What...happened...?"

Then, his door opened slowly. A nurse came in. She gasped.

Inside Helicopter//Japan//Morning//

The helicopter had left CC-Corp's main building an hour ago. Inside, Zeami and Viola sat, with the black briefcase over his lap. On the back seats sat the other two men who looked over Shadow's player. At the moment, they were over Japan, already leaving towards the sea.

Zeami sighed in releif while Viola looked at him and smiled. "We made it afterall, Zeami."

Zeami looked at her and smiled too. "I guess we did." He rested his head on the seat and closed his eyes. His arms tightly grabbed the suitcase below him. Although they weren't able to retreate the unknown virus AIDA, they were able to get Adam, which was just as good. Hikaru, another form of AIDA. Eve and Mada, A.Is. And finally, Aura. All of them were inside that briefcase.

"Once we reach headquaters, we'll begin research on the items we aquired." Zeami said. Viola said nothing and switched her gaze to the sea below.

Rasken stood on the tall green grass; his eyes focused on the wide sky above. The gently air surrounded him. It seemed like if everything that had occured was only a mere dream. But he knew otherwise. He knew Zeami had deceived him from the start. The truth was hard to accept.

A strong guilt grew inside. "Zeami...I don't know what your true intents were, but....I hope you take good care of her, Aura." He said.

I just don't know how this world will exist anymore. It's God has once again left it. He thought. He looked down into the grass and kneeled himself down, touching it.

"What will become of this world?"

Since he lived a lonely life, Chaos awoke in his own house, instead of a nice, comfy hospital room. When he finally woke up, he'd noticed his cat had filled up her litter box and was licking his toe. His music player was still going off, but the batteries were almost dead. Finally finding the strength, he took the cat's hint and gave her a can of tuna to eat while he pondered all that had happened. "So... first I logged in, then I joined some guild named genesis, then I got caught up in a fight against some computer virus that was supposed to have been erraticated a while ago. After a while, I ended up becoming controlled by said virus and fighting a new friend. She'd managed to free me from it's clutches, with help from mittens. Then, we had a fight with a huge snake... that Adam freak kept showing up to cause trouble... Shadow and I took out the snake with Nephillim's help and then we were sent to some bizarre city. Once there, Dex, Glace, Shadow, and I tried to save those AI kids... Mada and Eve... and we were... I think killed... hold on. Did I die?? WHAT THE HELL!!" Chaos finished contemplating as he shot up with the realization of something... "WHAT TIME IS IT??? Oh ****... I'm late, I'm late... I'm late... I'm LAAAAATE!!!" Chaos thought as he got himself dressed and ready to go, checking his caller-ID.

"You have... 101 new messages... Message 1,"

"WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU!!!" Most of them followed this same pattern... from the same man. Except for the last one, they were all from him. In a sense, he was fired. Simple and clean. However, the last one was a bit intriguing.

Shadow woke up in a daze, when he slowly realized where he was all he could do was laugh. "So... I'm alive. After all that, I still managed to make it out in one piece..." He said, to the surprise of everyone else in the chopper with him. "So... am I banned again? And what, prey tell, is in that case?" He asked as he sat there, pondering the idea. "If that's what I think it is, there's one file I'd like to have... as a keepsake if you will. If that's Hikaru, I'd at least ike a copy of her memory and personality traits at least. A simple AI of her. I kinda... promised I'd do something nice for her..." He asked as the man holding the briefcase turned around to listen to him.

"Sorry kid... that information is classified... and as for your banning from the game... I doubt you'd want to go back... especially after what's happened to you both times." He began as Shadow simply laughed. "What's so funny?"

Shadow simply stopped laughing as he whipped out a small cell phone he'd kept concealed in a hidden pocket in his shorts. With it, he placed a call to an unknown number, one that had been preset to send a message to... "You just don't understand do you? I've tasted paradise... and boy is it sweet. As for the whole 'Classified' statement... apparently you guys never watch TV. When some big secret agent responds 'That's classified information' to your question, then that ALWAYS means 'Your right, but I'm not giving it to you' or something to that affect. And as for that cell phone... don't worry about it. I snuck it in inside of a small pocket hidden inside my shorts. You guys were so quick to get me in there that you didn't even do a thorough check. As for what I just did with it, it's none of your concern... like you said... 'That information is Classified'. Now... I don't care how, I'd like to a copy of Hikaru's data file. If she's not in that briefcase, I know someone who'll scour The World to find her and get me that file." He finished with a smirk.

"What... but.. uh... sorry. Your out of luck kid... now... what did that cell phone have? Was it another file from the company??" the man asked as one of the two guys grabbed him and held him down, in case he thought of jumping out of the chopper.

"Since I know you'll probably be tracing that call as we speak, I'll let you know... it's nothing but a code a friend of mine and I developed back in primary school. For you idiots whom don't know what that is, it's grades k-8. A code I'm sending someone that, I've only got a million and one shot of hope that he remembers since we were a few years apart in graduation... hell... it may not even be the same guy. I could have just sent some random man a junk message. This world is in the hands of the players now..." Shadow finished before passing out due to exhaustion. He'd apparently over-exerted himself.

.:}Chaos' house{:.

Chaos, having listened to almost every message had already determined that he was fired, dumped, and going to be evicted from his apartment in no time. He was almost going to hand up when he heard a voice he faintly remembered... along with a code that he'd thought he'd never hear again.

"A thread of darkness is penetrated by light, and a thread of light is penetrated by darkness, yet a thread of shadows lasts for eternity: To the Shadowed one, When your ready return to the gates of Hell and we shall speak again of matters of great importance. Once you arrive, call me by my name four times, and if I'm still alive, I'll appear. Your friend, the chimp."

When he heard that message he quickly tried to call the phone back, but no answer. "That kid... why the hell would he be contacting me about this... It's been ages since we've seen each other, and he picks now of all times to want to..." He began before he felt his cat nudging his ankle with her head, towards the door. "Fine, I'll go... you want to come along too?" Chaos asked as his cat jumped onto Chaos' shoulders and purred right against his ear, showing she was content to join him, and would follow him to the ends of the earth, or so it seemed. A little more licking in his ear and Chaos' mind returned to the matters at hand... Ok Ok, I get it... let's go." He said as he packed up a few things, his M2D being one of them, and began on his next adventure, heading to "the gates of Hell" to meet this 'chimp'.

((Is there really a connection between the two of them, or is this just a twisted coincidence? What could Shadow have been talking about when he mentioned a promise? If there's another sequel to this one and their all involved again, I'm sure sooner or later, you'll find out. (Me as well, because I'm just playing with some ideas in my head at the moment lol) As for that little 'message' it's pretty much something I came up with on a moment's notice. Again, it's all dependent on if there is another, and how it turns out for our 'heroes'.))
