Airelinna giggled quietly as she watched Zorlo stumble, giving the feeling of a waiting predator even as she stomach rumble. just as fast as Zorlo recovered, so to, did the blood-stained girl's predatory look as she started finishing the last of the meat from that night's kills that didn't end up stuff away in her pack or taken by Daniel. Considering the newfound bulk of her bag, they were probably safe from her hunger.... for now, at least. "Green Man, Sneaky.... are you trying to go far...?" she asked strangely.

"Not terribly. Oh, and I probably don't need to say it, but this thing between Poltergeist and I is entirely professional, so no interference from you lot. Unless of course his minions try to interfere, then you can play all you like with them, but you leave him to me." While Zorlo was recovering his strength Kale acquainted himself with his new blades.

Zorlo walked quietly with the group before watching Kale practice. Today was, indeed, going to be insane.

~~~
"Commander, I come bearing a report!" a man wearing a helmet and some spiked shoulder pads, bracers and grieves.
"What do you want, Kasslrat?" the man asked as he moved a toothpick around in his mouth.
"Commander Carlton Anders, I come bearing news of the outside world beyond this forest. Now that we are armed, we are prepared to move on the Students!" Kasslrat said as he handed a report to the commander. "Also, it seems that the Aursian Bandits were defeated by the STudent Zorlo."
"Like I say, a bandit or mercenary is all those can ever be," the man stated with a chuckle. "We ain't no military, we're just mercenaries that were prepared for an eventuality where bullets aren't as easy to acquire. Its truly a world of strength, and we side with the strongest. Remember that, Kasslrat. Anyway, have you dispatched a team to deal with Zorlo?"
Kasslrat shook his head. "No, we haven't, sir. The last squad we sent out into that area said that Student Code Named: Poltergeist has appeared there. It is dangerous to deploy our men there."
Carlton nodded and smiled. "GOod, Enemy of our enemy. We just need to let them take the bait, weaken each other, and let us capture them. Then we can trade them easily."
~~~

As Zorlo and the crew arrived near their destination, the solar energy warrior paused as fog began to set in. "Not good..." the green-haired man said as he the sun slowly began to vanish. "Everyone, stay close... we're not sure what dangerous beasts could come out and attack us at any moment!"

Yes, "we" don't. Kale turned to the others and put a finger to his lips indicating that they should be silent and took two soft steps back into the rolling mists and disappeared. With a large dull piece of metal he stalked towards Zorlo's loud mouth, Kale knocked the "axe" out of the would be assassin's hands and caught it before it could clamor to the ground then they both scurried back, away from one another, a quiet grunt of surprise and the few soft strikes from Kale the only noise made during the exchange. Kale raised the axe over his head and flung it through the air, it passed within inches of Zorlo and Airelinna and caught the assassin the chest as he was running at those two seeking easier prey. "Ok, we're clear. Y'know, asides from the four riflemen standing atop battlements of Poltergeist's fort." As the fog thinned the wooden fort appeared about a hundred yards to their left.

Kale strode towards the gate. "Hey, Poltergeist, your attempt failed. I'm still alive." The riflemen took aim and Kale twisted out of the path of the bullets as they fired. He walked forwards, hands in his pockets, "You grossly overestimate your men if you think they can kill me before exhausting all 2 bullets you give each of them. So let's not waste any time. Why don't you come out here and we settle this like men?" The riflemen fired again, this time taking a little bit more time to aim. He just cocked his head to the side as if saying really? as the bullets flew through the space his head had occupied a millisecond before. Two of them ran off, both to see Poltergeist, one to deliver the message and the other to ask for more bullets.

A few minutes later a large man appeared as the gate was lowered. "Kale, you really should have just died at the mall. It would have been less painful." Kale replied by throwing a knife at his face, a semi-transparent figure appeared in the path of the weapon and the knife sunk into it, lost all momentum, and fell to the ground. Three more ghosts appeared surrounding Kale as the first charged at him Kale rolled out of the path of the charging ethereal claws and slashed the ghost several times with his knives, to no effect. He rolled backwards as Poltergeist started shooting, avoiding the bullets, but a fifth ghost dug it's meathook like claws into Kale's shoulder and hoisted him up. There was no physical wound, but Kale could feel the life running out of his body. He shouted in part anger and in part pain as he twisted to look at the ghost's arm as he activated his Death Perception and cut through it with one of the black blades, freeing himself. "Impossible." Gasped Poltergeist as Kale then jammed the blade into it's chest and the ghost dissolved into essence. Kale gasped for air for a second before turning his attention to the other ghosts. He dashed past them as he drew the other blade from his back and cut them in half. "Is that the best you can do, oh great Poltergeist?" Kale sprinted at Poltergeist, who summoned a half dozen ghosts to impede Kale. He cut through the first, raised his second blade up over his back, slicing off a second's hands, circling around a third with his feet and cut through the second and a fourth, the fifth got a hand into his back just before it got a blade through it's front, he cut through the third with the ball of his foot with an arcing kick, threw one of his blades through the sixth and the other into Poltergeist.

Kale walked over to Poltergeist's crumpled form and yanked the blade out of him. "H-how? What are those?" Kale crouched next to him and stared into the man's eyes as he whispered, "Death. Goodbye, Jake." Kale placed the bag of peanuts on Poltergeist's chest and then stabbed through it with the sword, killing him. Kale yanked the second sword out of the tree it had landed in and turned to the group. "I'm done here."
