sweet..but man if the release date I've been seeing is right volume 2 will have been out for almost a mouth before volume 1 is released here.

i don't believe that is going to be the final box art for volume 2. more like 'heres a sample of what can be the box are for the 2nd volume of G.U.'. By this time we would already be familiar with Haseo, Pai, and Kuhn. They need to place more emphasis on the Tri-edge-like appearance of both Orca and Balmung. I could see a potenial box art with the same color background; Haseo in a fighting stance with his scythe and behind him shifting towards the ipper half section stand both Orca and Balmung in the same position they are now. Orca and Balmung would still give off the dark sinister appearance while Haseo stares back ready to strike also with an upgraded appearance due to him being a multiweapon. We know Haseo, but lets give him a flashy scythe and introduce two new characters that the dot hack fan base will pick up. The idea is new concepts will bring more people; old cocepts will bring the same people.

Umm... I'm pretty sure it's the final cover. Look at history (excluding Kite):
Vol. 1 cover: Just about everyone, including every character who shows up on any later cover.
Vol. 2 cover: Helba and Blackrose (Both came in in Vol.1)
Vol. 3 cover: Mia, Elk (both playable since 1) and Balmung
Vol. 4 cover: Balmung (playable since volume 3; on 3/4 covers), Aura, Orca (both there from the beginning), Helba, Blackrose and Elk (all 3 there since Vol.1; 3/4 covers apiece).

So yeah, whether or not you're familiar with the characters doesn't seem to matter. Since Pai and Kuhn haven't been on a cover yet, this makes even more sense than some of the first series covers...

I really don't like the look in Orca's eye, it makes me apprehensive. It looks like he'll live up to his name once you fight him. Balmung reminds me of an emo kid, with his hair covering his eyes. A stitched up Orca and a fallen angel. Good battles are to come.

but i wanna see the connection to tri-edge so bad!!!!! And i'm guess they will have like different names like tri-edge has, and the weapons, and what they're gonnna sound like.....I cant contain it!!!!

i also wonder if we will get to play a new form in Voulume 3

in the little movie for vol 2 you see tri-edge but hes not anywhere on the little poster thing.or will he be gone till the third volume and for the second you fight these guys

Oh, if you didn't know, at the end of vol. 1 Tri-edge is defeated and I think that the only reason the image of Tri-edge was in the vol. 2 preview was because at that part Ovan says something along the lines of "Do you want to know the truth about Tri-edge? The truth about Shino's coma?"

yeah you might be right kuukai. though i don't think that will be the final box art. they still have to add the title, the esrb rating, a voice that reminds me of you, has to be put on there. any ideas on what they might change that too? things went from ressurection to rebirth for the 1st volume.

Well, the "art" will be the same, they just need to overlay stuff...

Your guess is as good as mine... Seeing as they're adding clutter with that extra "//", I bet they'll make it shorter than an actual translation...

That's what will probably happen, Tri-edges screen time will probably be his appearences in //roots and //rebirth, with possible flashbacks in the last two games. It seems that Tri-edge was meant to act similar to Skeith in infection, he was the one who gets the main character involved but dies in the end of the first game.

that sux i whant to fight him again!...now i just have to get the game and kill him once to say that with meaning behind it

no i mean like why didn't he have it? i know he gets it at his 3rd job class but when he starts off he has the twin blades and im pretty shure i saw him with a heavyblade
