This is what I meant. Maybe I'm just inept but I can't seem to locate these on any of the proxy sites. On DeJapan for example, if I place the item number in the search box, I get no results. I've seen these available on a few other proxy sites but those don't seem very trustworthy...

In the Japanese games it's always been Tension. They just localized it to Morale in the West.

Latest Famitsu has come out and aside from some really cool artwork and a look back over Vol. 1-3, it sounds like we may be getting a new parody mode (though this was the result of me running the webpage thru google translate, so who knows).

Piroshi seems to have commented on this in a tweet. Hopefully it's confirmation

Not sure if new, but here are new details on Haseo's 8-phases of his new form:

There is a parody mode but it will just be a set of cutscenes drawn from all of the volumes rather than a gameplay mode.

That makes sense. There are already unlockable parody videos in Vol. 1-3. Is it clear whether it's new content or them just pointing out that it is a thing that exists in the games?

It sounds like this is different from the .hack//4koma videos.

They put the first 5 minutes of the Innocent Call Drama CD audio up on YouTube.
https://youtu.be/Mr8a0o4j4DE

The whole CD is 27 minutes long and bridges the gap between volume 3 and volume 4. Only included with the special edition.

That's really not huge at all for this. Three games combined into one with extra content along with the graphics update. Final Fantasy XV is going to be over a hundred gigs on Steam.

3 games which were originally around 3gb apiece, chock full of shared assets (characters, voices, music, towns, areas, and so on) between 'em. If this were a proper "recode" at the very least all shared assets would be drawn from the same pool, which would drasitcally cutdown file size. Instead it seems as though each volume is again being treated as its own game, meaning many many gb of the same files essentially tucked away under different folders. Anyways as someone who doesn't buy digital any only recently got a PS4 an the experience of full disc installs, and has a horribly slow download speed... its alot of space!! Like for reals, a download of this collection would take me months to achieve. x.x;

People seem to forget most of the space on the disk in the original games was taken by... prerendered movies. And now they're in HD. This is the most likely reason for huge filesize.

30-40GB is pretty standard for most games on PS4 these days

The HD update of Vol 1's opening was uploaded to Youtube and it looks gorgeous.

Also, Gematsu talks briefly about Parody Mode and shares some new screenshots along with those nice new illustrations from the Famitsu article awhile back.

Also, .hack's stage event at TGS will be held on Sept 22 and there will be an English Twitch stream along with alternatives for other languages.

So here is a collection of all the new .hack GU art that we got so far with Last Recode (no in-game screenshots or movies). I smell a .hack//archives vol 03 grey on the way:

So many new wallpapers. Notice how Haseo progressively gets more and more damaged across each volume cover art. I wonder if that's symbolic in a way.

Christ. I cross my fingers every year hoping for an inkling of .hack news at TGS. Now we get a 45 minute stream in English? I can't contain the excitement. Here's hoping it's not just 45 minutes of Last Recode gameplay.
