What is your Rarest .hack// collectable?

Re: What is your Rarest .hack// collectable?
I got the .hack//Welcome to "The World" that came with Integration, which is good enough for me. Now I know where the cannon screenshot of Fragment's (Harald's game Fragment, not the later online .hack game) area word free entry system in Encyclopedia .hack comes from. Other than that, you don't get a lot out of watching it.
Agggh I want the bath salts, I can't believe you found them, I never see that version listed. Is the Iori thing part of the kit too? Because Iori is amazing. It's my understanding that only people physically present at the screening competition could buy the special edition, and it was expensive and not everyone did, making it one of the rarest things in .hack collectordom, other than unique items or small things that didn't make it out of Comiket.
I do remember in 2004 Gamers was trying to clear out some .hack mousepads. I didn't know what I'd need a mousepad for in the age of optical, but I regret not stocking up because I haven't really seen them since.

Re: What is your Rarest .hack// collectable?
xD ah I didn't realise that came with .hack//Integration, though if you were after a physical copy rakuten still has one last I checked. ^.^ glad it has some new information for you, Integration was helpful in getting ahold of Liminality and the .hack//Legend of the Twilight sound drama. Though the UK 2 box set for .hack//SIGN included Liminality which I wasn't expectingKuukai wrote:I got the .hack//Welcome to "The World" that came with Integration, which is good enough for me.

I came across them once or twice at auction but the second time the price jumped to around 19,000 if not higher and didn't realise the rarity of them ^^' Indeed Iori is,shes the packet that holds all the bath salts in vol.2 ^_^ I see how that would make them hard to come by, shame not everyone got them at the screenings as it would allow for more of a chance to see them in auctions/listings ^^' http://www.hack.channel.or.jp/quantum/bddvd02.html
That sucks, why do we only find out the rarity of items afterwards and then not see them again .-. What did the mousepad look like at 2004 Gamers?
Re: What is your Rarest .hack// collectable?
As far as I can tell the copy included with Integration is indistinguishable from the TGS one, other than the shame of knowing it's a reprint. But, that kind of makes it pointless to try to obtain an original (you can't tell what's legit and no one will ever know you aren't) imo.
I guess I'll have to look, it would be awesome to get the Iori bath set. I don't really need the blu-ray, I have the U.S. edition as well as the Amazon Edition of Walking Party. It includes an audio drama where Amazon opens a physical store in The World.
Yeah, I figured they threw the mousepads out. Iirc they were hexagonal with various art like Kite or Helba. Thinking about it I should really go back to that Gamers this trip, since I'll be in Kobe and they always seem to be trying to get rid of stuff.

^_^ as long as you have it on Integration its all good seeing as the contents the same, just thought you might be interested in getting ahold of the disc aswell.Kuukai wrote:Amazon Edition of Walking Party. It includes an audio drama where Amazon opens a physical store in The World.
Good luck on your hunt d(@.@) They also released those sets as DVD, didn't know that till I saw that link I posted. @.@ I hadn't heard of the Amazon Edition, rather pricy for new. I take it all the Quantum volumes come with CDs? I saw on a pic there is a leaflet inside the case with a code on the back, whats that for?
Since you got the US release, did your copy come with the Quantum USB ?_?
I hope they still have some left for you to grab, I don't suppose this was one of them (Kite/Blackrose/Aura) to the left of the Mistral mousepad?

According to this, only episode 1 and 3 had Amazon editions, I'd need to see a picture of the code because I don't see anything here about it. Was it for the trivia contest?
I never place enough emphasis on the U.S. goods, I guess. Well, they never really interest me that much. I think I saved some money not getting it directly from Funimation, so I didn't get one. What interests me more in terms of foreign .hack goods is - you said you live in Scotland, right? - the PAL release of the original games. They had an article on it in The World 3, isn't it subbed in basically every language? They were proud of their German/Gaelic-influenced game making it into Gaelic and German. In CC2's master collection, they don't have the USB drive, but they do have every regional release of .hack. I should get around to picking that up ^^;; (when I worked in Germany I looked at many a Gamestop and never found it, but it doesn't look too bad on Amazon)SSJScygoku wrote:Since you got the US release, did your copy come with the Quantum USB ?_?
Oh those are long gone, I just mean in general now that I think of it they're always trying to firesale retail stuff, which is something the Tokyo stores never do. It helps that it's located deep underground with no terrestrial storefront. Yup, that looks like it.SSJScygoku wrote:I hope they still have some left for you to grab, I don't suppose this was one of them (Kite/Blackrose/Aura) to the left of the Mistral mousepad?

^_^ that link but was referring to the FES DVD release as I thought about they were Blu-ray only, also didn't notice that was the amazon limited edition at the bottom xDKuukai wrote:Which pictures are you referring to, this?

The code I was meaning was this (@.@)>

The U.S. did get the Premium Editions (some w/CDs), Limied Edition (vol 1,demo,plush,postcards)and Hexagonal collection box (with pins?) for .hack//SIGN although the UK got a limited edition vol 7 with a Mimiru figure and mousemats @.@ Shame you didn't get a USB,if nothing else than for collectors sake~Kuukai wrote:foreign .hack goods is - you said you live in Scotland, right? - the PAL release of the original games. @.@ yup yup,I hail from the land of the raising Haggis! Yeah the game has subtitles for English/French/Spanish and German, also some of SIGN dvds have french + german subtitles. ?_? Is CC2's Master Collection the games/merch in the glass cabinets? If someone had a spare USB drive that would make a nice gift for CC2 xD You should pick them up, the prices aren't too bad with exception to Quanrantine which flucuates quite often ^^'
No wonder you didn' come across the game in Germany, you don't see the games often in shops, though online there is plenty ^.^
So in other words its out of sight so you may come across good merch as not everyone and their mothers knows about the place. n.n yay~Kuukai wrote:Oh those are long gone, I just mean in general now that I think of it they're always trying to firesale retail stuff, which is something the Tokyo stores never do. The code is just points for Bandai's Emotion Family Club rewards program, which was recently merged into the Bandai Visual Club: https://www.bandaivisual.co.jp/bvc/
If that's the complete list of languages I wonder what version they were saying has Gaelic ^^;; I did get German G.U.+ actually though, and I was amused by how they "fixed" the German version of the Epitaph of the Twilight to be less grammatically terrible. Since .hack brushes so many languages, I bet almost every one has some example of this. Actually I forget but now I wonder what they did with the Lost Ground names in German... In the Japanese version of the games they have names that come from the Alvissmal. For the English version, CC2 decided they should translate them all from Icelandic to truly horrible German. Most of them correspond to an old-timey-speak German translation of the Alvissmal I found, but on more than one occasion they accidentally picked a neighboring word instead of the one they were going for, or changed an l to a r.

^_^ ah I see, though something tells me they won't let those outside Japan join the rewards program unless they have a japanese address.Kuukai wrote:The code is just points for Bandai's Emotion Family Club rewards program, which was recently merged into the Bandai Visual Club: https://www.bandaivisual.co.jp/bvc/
Maybe they were thinking along the lines of the game was released in a Gaelic speaking country(s) where the Celtic influences derive from?
xD I'd imagine we would do the same to broken english, you would probably win that wager as there is bound to be flaws somewhere. I'm sure you kept the German names in a safe place,so safe you no longer recall where ^^'

<.< >.> and flopping back to the main topic, currently waiting for .hack//Quantum vol 1 Amazon Edition, .hack//CANVAS (Haseo) and I believe thats everything.

Re: What is your Rarest .hack// collectable?
It was mentioned earlier in the thread, but I bought the .hack//Block the day of its release, and paid a nice $20 for a mail forwarding service to bring it here (though I would've liked to not have to have paid the price for it twice)
Here's Kite, in all his blocky glory:

Bonus:

"A data bug...?"
All the blocks came on little frames and it was my first time assembling something so delicate... I have always wanted to get into Gundam kits, but after spending hours and wrecking my hand with pliers, I feel it just isn't for me. But the end result was really worth it! Never taking it apart again.
