Kyo: I've taught him the ways of the vampire as well as how to live among humans and be a normal kid that's all Kyria wanted for him she wanted kotaro to live a normal life although I've taught him enough to protect himself but he's just a child he doesn't have to fight not In this war...( after a few moments of silence he begins speaking again) I made a choice you know I had a choice I was there she begged me to save kotaros life...I was naive and foolish I thought I could of saved them both this war made me choose betwee the two most important people in my life so I took kotaro away we ran from the city it wasn't until two years ago kotaro begged me to take him back here. Now I realize that was a mistake. ( he turns around to face tide) and there you have it ( he sticks the picture in his pocket)

"You honored her will as best you could." Which I'm sure is why she chose to trust him instead of me. At the time, I would have either just saved her or turned him into a weapon. "But you failed to take reality into account. I know, better than most that an army, no a war is just like myself it does not care whether you are a child or if you want a normal life it will still kill you." Tide turned towards Kotaro. "And he's no mere vampire, is he? He's a dragon. If I had two years maybe i could make him capable enough to withstand Acnologia's wrath, but we don't have that kind of time, do we? I have to give Kotaro something, then you should take him home." Dark gray scales began running up from Tide's fingertips as he walked towards Kotaro and the others he stopped in front of the boy, stared down at him with a pair of vertical slits, he then pulled his necklace off, it had a locket at the base and placed it in Kotaro's hands without explanation before continuing to walk past. "Hige, we're leaving. There's a lot of work to do. Make sure nobody's buried under any rubble then see to getting this area cleaned up. I have to go see the commander."

The locket was in the shape of a dragon's head and inside was a picture of Kyria in her dragon form who seemed to be dancing with a storm cloud on one side and the other was of her and Elucidator, both in human form at a water amusement park. Elucidator seemed to be adamantly trying not to smile in spite of himself.

As the scales reached his lips smoke, or rather clouds began spilling out the sides of his mouth, and as they reached the crest of his head his hair began to stand on end from the ambient static charge. I've clung to you, trying to do what I thought you'd want, but I can't do that anymore. He doesn't need an engineer nor a bodyguard. If Kotaro's to survive and this peaceful world is to be created I have to do what I want. "Storm until the only ones left are those who want peace and those who are sick of watching everything they know and care about get turned into slag." He hadn't paid any attention to the half a dozen or so guards gathering around him until just that moment. They had been saying something but were now charging him with swords and spears. The weapons suddenly became coated in heavy ice and dropped to the ground. "You guys can relax, it's just me. Tide Lucius." He continued his slow walk to the commander's office pretty much ignoring anybody that tried to stop him given his now highly atypical appearance, if he thought their attacks wouldn't hurt anybody else he didn't even bother icing over their swords, the affected body parts just became storm clouds to allow their nonmagical weapons to pass through. Sometimes he would identify himself to a guard he knew well, but otherwise he acted as though he were just so far above their stations that he didn't even recognize their existence, eventually somebody decided to escort him since Tide clearly wasn't going to be stopping for any checkpoints until he reached his destination. Which was just outside the commander's office where he'd wait for Kyo to arrive.

Kyo: I will Not let you get him involved. ( after tide walked off) ....he is a vmpire though

Kotaro: ( he looks at the pocket and on his finger tips are scars showing he's been blooded)

Kyo: ( he looks up into the sky) *sigh* now probablly wouldn't be a good time to show elucidator that picture huh? ( he walks back over to kotaro) hey kotaro let's go home your big brother is tired and wishes to sleep

Kotaro: oh okay! ( he runs next to him)

Miki: ( watches the walk off) I have to go see those two again I know he didn't mean those things earlier today....

Commander: The silver blade...

Hige: oh come on I want to go take a nap it's been a long day tide
