I've been looking at a few of the creative writing games we have going on at the minute on the forum and just wanted to know what the basic outline is and format.
Can anyone Join in?
Where does everyones characters fit in?
Them type of questions, just an explanation really. Would be greatly appreciatted.
Are you talking about role playing in general? They aren't really creative writing prompts.
As for general rp things:
1. Can anyone join?
- Depends on the creator of the rp. It also depends on how much has happened already regarding the plot. The best time to try and join is the beginning or somewhat after it has started. Otherwise, it'd be very hard to join and be able to interact with other characters.
2. Where do the characters fit in?
- It depends on what the rp calls for. It could be you choose one of two sides or you may not have a choice in your overall position. Anything after that requires cooperation from the admin and other members of the rp at the time.
3. Basic Outline?
- A basic outline is really in particular depending on what story you want to portray. It could be an action filled story or one that's more character development, just to name two. Each story should have a beginning, middle, and end. That's really all that's required in a bare bones format.
4. Format?
- The format for how one posts can be specified or not. No matter what, the character sheet is usually created by the creator of the rp as well as the plot. I don't see it happen too often on here, but some rp sites, such as gaia, have specifications regarding how one posts.
