Zorlo sighed. "I would... but its none of your problems. Plus, your sister would be a mite bit sore if I told you something that would make you do something dangerous," he told her, continuing the clean the stairs. "I understand you care about what's going on... but I can't tell you. My family is full of... oddities and secrets. Even though I would like to tell you... until they make their move, I'm sworn to secrecy," the swordsman said as he looked at her. "Now get back to your sister. I"m sure she's probably looking for you," Zorlo said with a smile towards the girl. As much as he cared... he couldn't let anyone else get involved. This was his problem.

In the back of Arianna's head, however, she could hear a voice speaking to her. Child... go to the woman, Tamlin. She has the answers you need. She is with the woman Elsa. Be on your way now if you seek to help this lost soul. With that, the voice that the girl would recognize as DM's vanished.

Tamlin smiled at the woman and waved her on. "Get dressed. That prick is sending another visitor. I guess OUR talk will have to wait, hussy," she stated with a smile and a chuckle.

"You know...that mask guy?" She looked confused and stood up slowly. She took a deep breath and went towards the room. "I can stay if you think it'd be relevant to the talk." Part of her hoped that she'd be able to listen when Tamlin wanted to say when she was dressed.

----

Cecile nodded as she looked at the situation. "Fruit Loops sound nice." She spoke softly, putting her hands back onto the coffee mug. She smiled towards him as she figured they were alone at the moment. She looked ridiculous at the moment, but she figured that was something Maes wouldn't mind.

Ariana blinked slowly as she listened to DM. I see... she thought to herself. Allrainne's at work, so she's plenty busy, but I'll back off for now..." she replied to Zorlo with some dejection as she moved to let him passed. It was an act, but for now, she'd follow DM's reasoning until she continue on the route she'd chosen. "See you later, Zorlo." And with that, she glided up the stairs toward her new destination. With the increased speed on her casual glide, it didn't take long for Tamlin & Elsa to hear the quiet knocking that signified Arianna's arrival.

Zorlo sighed as he returned to cleaning. He'd finish the morning chores and then he'd go off to get more grocery. That was important.

~~~
Tamlin opened the door and pulled Arianna in before she slammed the door and looked at the women. "Okay, so you two... sure are fortunate that I'm gonna talk to you. First off, Elsa, you and I have stuff we need to discuss about you and Mr. Green-Haired Good-Heart." She chuckled as she crossed her arms and smirked. "Aside from that, I'm sure you want to talk about Z's family, huh, little girl? Well sit down, you two," the woman said as she sat down on the couch and smiled at the two women. "Its a long story, so ask me some questions so I can avoid long ass stories."
Maes placed a bowl of fruit loops and a gallon of milk on the table for Cecile, he then ducked back into his room and came out wearing his "hydro hands" and used some soapy water to quickly and thoroughly clean up the mess made by the eggs. He righted the chairs, got a saucer out for Morgan. and a bowl of fruit loops for himself. He studied Cecile from across the table while they ate.
Cecile poured a small amount of milk in the bowl while Maes worked on cleaning up the mess. She drew her hand to a spoon and drew some of the fruit loops up into it. "It's been awhile since I've had sugar." She spoke, her voice soft as she recounted the tale a bit. Since life had been bitter, it was easier to blame the drugs on the effect of taste. Even the sugar she did pile on had been unpleasant. Yet right now it tasted just like it had when she was a little kid.
----
Elsa adjusted her shirt a bit as she exited the room and looked at Arianna. 'It feels like everyone has a story in this situation. Well, except me I guess.' She nodded at Tamlin's statement and waited for Arianna's voice to ask.
Though surprised by the sudden pull from Tamlin, she recovered quickly as as looked over to see Elsa. So, she was here too... she thought to herself as she nodded to Tamlin and took a seat next to Elsa. "Okay... These first questions... They're more confirmation & recap then anything. 'Is Zorlo's family really coming to kill him? And if so, what reason do they have to do so now, all the sudden?" she asked to the Landlady.
Tamlin sighed. "To answer that first question: Yes. The second question is a bit more complex. Zorlo comes from the Amaranthine Family, which is an old line of mages and demon hunters. Their lineage is ancient, and Zorlo shares some of their blood. He's the third child of the elder of the family and his most recent wife. His sister, brother and youngest sister are coming to kill him. The reason is quite simple: he's a defector."
Letting that sink in, Tamlin continued. "Zorlo has virtually no magical power in him. He's part of their withering line. Despite that, his older brother and sister, along with his younger sister, all have phenomenal magical powers. He drew the dry spell of magical strength from his lineage. In order to protect him, I placed a memory sealing charm on him. They wouldn't kill him if he wasn't Zorlo, so making it impossible for them to scry him was easy enough. Now that he's regained his memories, however, he's been found. THey're in town... and they're waiting for him. The moment he leaves my Zone of Control... well, he's totally boned. Good luck with that," Tamlin said as she stood up and stretched.
"You ladies got any questions or can I just assume that little punk's gonna die because you're both sitting there with agape jaws?"
"So you're telling me that his situation, even if that masked man hadn't interfered, would have turned into this?" Her voice was dry, but part of her didn't want to process too many things at once. Elsa could tell that everyone seemed a bit more complicated than she did regarding her family. Still, she supposed maybe the sisters had a slightly normal existence.
For Arianna, It was less that she stunned in silence and more that she was absorbing and analyzing the information. This was something she wasn't expecting, this implied he was set to be killed merely due to Genetic Roulette then any actual reason. The images of the old man at Zorlo's old apartment came to her mind for a moment. Dead for not reason that they had control of. While she knew that that was something that happened, like with the events of her own family, she didn't want to just sit by and let it happen. This time, she had the power to do something. "I see..." she said as she stood and walked to the door. As she twisted the knob, however, she paused. There was one more question to be asked. "...What chance would I have helping Zorlo right now...?"
"Even if the two of you and your sister, little girl, try to interfere... you'll all die. Even with that other boy and girl, you'd have a hard time distracting them. You need time to master your powers and fight them in a more even ground. Period. But you two can help that idiot escape... since there is no doubt in my mind he'll fight. He's never run before... he shan't start now," the woman said as she pulled another cigarette out of the pack she was carrying and put it in her mouth. "If you care, that is. After all, I've found that modern people are very, very selfish and foolish. You think only of what you consider "normality" and shun other things. The fools humans have become," The woman stated as she walked out and slammed the door behind her.
Elsewhere, Zorlo emerged from the building and started off. He knew where the end of the Zone of Control. He was only going JUST outside of that area in order to pick up what he needed. He just had to hope that THEY weren't waiting there.
Elsa felt her mind in an even worse daze now. She stood up and moved towards the bathroom, locking the door to keep herself isolated. 'First it's I have to fight for the sake of some war. Then it's fighting to help out friends. Now I have to keep an eye on just him? What did I do to deserve some woman being angry at me for trying my best not to fall over and freak out?' She looked at herself and sighed. 'It's not being normal that's bugging me. It's that everyone is trying to tug me in every damned direction! What is the point of being so set on trying to do something if there's always some new development?' Her head lowered and she felt frustration taking over her. The last thing she wanted was to be told about normal. Her family was probably going to freak out and her job was over... Now she was stuck being pulled wherever the latest person thought she should be going.
"I do. I care," the young girl said after a moment when she heard Elsa get up and enter the other room. Tamlin could see a light come from her face as she turned to look at the landlady and when it faded, Arianna's scarred eye was open and a golden iris eye stared back with it's crimson companion. She looked toward the door Elsa left & closed for a moment before looking back to Tamlin. "By your earlier statement, I'll assume Zorlo either has, or is about to, left the building." A pause. "She... may not want to, I don't know, but.... I've decided to help him, so I will. Thank you, Miss Tamlin," she finished before she opened the door and left, Gliding down the hall like before. It was weird, she felt...stronger...? No.. more secure in her powers, now that her eye was back. And it even let her see things, like have a HUD from a video game or a UI from a computer/MMO. Strange, but she couldn't deny it's potential once she fully figured it out. But that was something she'd have to do on the fly as she got to the staircase and jumped, using her powers to 'air dash' straight down before slowing her fall to safe levels to land and continue moving.
Tamlin chuckled as she lit up her cigarette and took a deep puff of it before knocking on Elsa's door. "Hey girlie. I just want you to know that I'm only mocking you because you need to stand up for yourself. If you can't even stand up to me, you can't hope to face anything more horrible than me," the woman said with a laugh as she leaned against the wall next to the door. "And you need to stop being so serious about everything. After all, this life could work out better than your last one, you just need to make the best of things."
~~~

Zorlo paused as he carried the bag of groceries out of the store and started off. The green-haired man paused as he stared face to face with the silver haired woman. "It's been a long time, Tia. How have you been?"

The woman's alabaster armor reflected some of the dwindling daylight as she adjusted the handle of a seeming sword that hung at her side. "No sense in asking stupid questions, brother. You realize why I'm here, I trust."

"You're here to slay me?"

"Too right."

"Then get it over with. I shan't fight you."

"You're taking the fun out of this. After all, a single Thunder Roar Cannon could easily destroy you. Just because you've awakened powers with some help doesn't give you any more power, does it?"

Zorlo shook his head. "I don't honestly know," the man stated as the green, diverse plates of armor formed over his body and his sheathed sword appeared on his back. "I'm not sure even with my powers I could hope to defeat Cainus... but you... you're on an entire other league."

The woman laughed as the mask of her armor closed and golden eyes stared at Zorlo. "Forgive me, brother. I would not do this were it not required," the woman stated as she raised her hand and lightning began to dance around her fingertips. "I pray you'll find better luck in the next life," he said as an extended few fingertips began to focus electricity into a ball of lightning. "Thunder Roar Cannon!"

Arianna stopped dead in her tracks as a feeling of static washed over her body that made her every hair stand on end. So powerful was it, that some of her long hair arched and floated up around her. Was it close? Or maybe powerful? Both? She couldn't tell at first though her new eye was nice enough to, after a moment, indicate where the feeling was coming from in her vision and about how far. "Zorlo..." Taking a deep breath, the scarred girl shook off the static-like charge on her skin and started moving as the blast of lightning went off.

Smoke and debris filled the air. Within the cloud, Zorlo stood. Perhaps instinct, or the will of the sword, had stepped in. Aincrad had taken the hit. Lightning disbursed over throughout the golden colored blade as Zorlo stood there for a moment. He was still smoking from the exposure to the highly potent lightning, but still alive. The green-haired man's knees faltered before he fell onto them and stabbed his sword into the ground. "That was.. unpleasant."

I must agree with you, serah. That attack... this woman is very, very strong.

Tia paused as she looked at the sword before crossing her arms. "A strange twist of fate indeed. Saved by a powerful, magical sword... how bothersome," the woman stated as the remnant sparks arched along her fingertips. "Well... if you can withstand my Thunder Roar Cannon... I guess I'll have to deal with you in a slightly more barbaric manner. Remember, I gave you the option of a quick death," the woman stated as she drew a handle from her side.

With a roll of thunder, a blade of lightning erupted from the handle as she swung it out to her side. With a quick step, she dashed forward with the lightning rapier and collided with Zorlo's Aincrad as the green-haired man moved to protect himself. "I can't lose... at least... not yet," he said as the blades crackled against one another.

Elsa stopped listening once she realized it was Tamlin. Part of her was reminded of when she was a child and she hide away in a spot and be so quiet others wouldn't find her. Eventually they would yell for her and she walk out of her spot and go back down to where everyone was standing. Her eyes closed and she held her hands to the sides of the sink as she tried to in a sense will the woman to go away so she'd have time to mentally think. Of course, there was no way to know if Tamlin would continue or not. She just wanted five minutes to enjoy the lack of guns, destruction, and perhaps a slight bit of attraction that was already becoming larger towards the person she was currently living with.

Zorlo smiled as he pushed his sword away from Tia's and stepped back. The green-haired man spun his sword as he leapt backwards several feet back and sliding with a smile. The siblings paused as they stepped forwards and stared at the sword-mage. "Halt," Tia said as her siblings began to move.

Cainus nodded. "Wait... we'll make this fun," the dark-mage stated as he weaved his hands through dark runes for a few seconds as several skeletons began to rise from the ground.

The youngest child giggled as she watched, not taking action yet.

The swordsman spun his blade before he started to run.

"The hunt is on," Tia stated as her mask retracted itself and the blade of her sword vanished. "Try not to have TOO much fun though. After all, if we cause too much trouble... well, you know what'll happen," the woman said as electromagnetic energy began to surge from her, causing her to fly. "Best of luck, my siblings," the woman stated as she followed after Zorlo, who was now on the run.

((OOC: Really unsure of what to do from here.))
Morgan lapped up his milk and twitched his ears, listening to the doldrums. I bet this is what the second team in Final Fantasy games go through while the player's favorite characters are fighting. Just sitting around, not really doing anything, waiting for that one part of the game where the player is forced to use them. Oh no, that means, that means that I'm like Quina!

Across the city, Allrainne paused to look outside along with most of the others in the building that weren't too busy to take a moment. Was it thunder...? An explosion, perhaps? No one was really sure, but with everything that was going on, the tall woman didn't like it. For now though, she didn't have much choice in the matter as her boss entered to give her her next task. She'd simply hope it was just some coming rain and give her younger sister a call to see if anything happened.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Zorlo...?" Arianna yelled as she glided along toward her target, slowing to a run whenever she got near other people. While she knew that Normal people couldn't quite see supernatural things, she found it hard to believe that they wouldn't see her gliding along like a comic book Magical Girl. No one she paused to ask had seen Zorlo either. "Where could he be...?" she asked herself as she Glided around a corner. The Hair across her body stood on end as her Electrical Senses drew her mismatched gaze to the floating Tia. Glowing look met glowing look for a moment before Arianna realized that this was probably one of Zorlo's siblings unless DM was up to things. The realization made her eyes widen slightly as she turned fully toward the Armored Woman, slight floating. "Umm.... H-hello...?" she said to Tia, waiting to see just what the woman would do and if she'd assume her to be a potential threat right off the bat.
