The path to be a hero

"It's not okay!" she replied, perhaps a little harsher than she had preferred, as she looked up at Alex. She quickly shut her mouth and lowered her gaze again, closing her eyes. "It's not okay at all, Alex... I should have either told you from the beginning when I realized what was happening with us, or just made sure that it didn't happen in the first place. I just... I just didn't want to risk pushing you away, when you're the only person that I've met since I woke up that morning that genuinely seemed to not care about me simply for my abilities. Aside from my sister, of course, but that doesn't matter anymore... And I can't even be sure that she was really my sister. Luca brought her to me, so for all I know she could have been a stranger. Or a mirage he created in my head..."

Her fingers tightened against the fabric of his shirt momentarily, loosening up again seconds later as she calmed down."That's how he got me to work for him, Alex. He claimed to have known my family when they were alive, and he promised me that he would help me remember them if I did what he asked. I had nothing else to live for at the time, so I took up his offer and let him and Damien train me so that they could effectively use me for my powers..."

Alex: Okay I guess I deserved that...it's not your fault you trusted your instincts you didn't know the truth you saw a quiting hand and you believed you could trust it all in order to find out the truth to figure out who you were your Miri and your the girl I care for. Sorry that's not what you wanted to hear...Miri its okay we all have done things we've regret myself as well I understand in order to get your family back you were willing to do whatever this luca told you?

"I'm just so mad at myself about this. About everything... I let myself be used by a scumbag, all for what was most likely a false promise of memories I'll never truly have again. Real memories of my past aren't worth what I've done for them, much less their false ones... I'm sorry that I ruined everything tonight, Alex. It was so perfect before..." she sighed, finally pulling away from him just enough to look him face to face. It was hard to look him in the eyes after everything that had just happened, everything that had just been revealed between them, but she did it and held his gaze with her own. "I told you you deserved better than me... I still think you do. Thank you for trying to make me feel better, but I won't try to stop you if you want to leave now, Alex. I certainly would if I were in your position..."

Alex: what kind of Romeo would I be if I just up and left ( he pulls her in to kiss her as he the pulls away for one moment and he whispers to her) not like you ruined the whole night the view didn't go anywhere you know besides I'm not going anywhere that is unless you wish me to leave ( he kisses her once again)

Girl:....yOur both so damaged its ridiculOus how you call yor selfs heroes ( Alex just gives the girl the finger) sigh so rude little Alex...well looks like I won't go anywhere for awhile but I don't want to watch this

Zalthorn gives a thumbs up to Aaron. "After that show yesterday I'll bet they're planning a follow up real soon. Probably sometime tonight or later this week." He remained standing straight and continued talking. "If you want to help I think you should have a costume too, sure you aren't a power user but you are a hero. Wouldn't want that lovely lady from before getting dragged into a mess." He laughs then slumps against the wall as well. leaning his head against the wall and cracking his knuckles. "I think you would get a huge fanbase if you appeared as a hero."

Aaron: sorry but I dot know if I'm someone who deserves to wear a mask I mean after all but if it's to protect that beautiful lady from before than perhaps o'll consider it al though I'm not gonna be your side kick or anything got it? I allready know all the hate robin gets I'm not being robin to your batman

"Heh. Then you can be Nightwing. And since I know you're identity I'll show you mine, I bet you'll get a kick out of it. You're going to need a name too, think of something catchy." Zalthorn looks toward Aaron.

Mariah had nothing else to say at this point. She was mentally exhausted and needed nothing more than to just calm down for a little bit in silence. "Please don't leave..." she thought as she laid her head back against his shoulder, allowing herself to be cradled almost like a child before him.

"Tomorrow's going to be a rough day, I just know it. Especially if there's more 'missions' for this stupid Hero TV... I would just skip, if so, but I know Alex won't if he can help it, and I can't risk letting Luca run into him without me around like that. It's impossible to know what he has in mind for either of us now, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see..."

Alex: ( he sits there with her as he holds her in his arms allowing her to relax and forget about the pain of her day)...I'll stay tonight I'm not going anywhere Miri he gently starts to rub her back which hopefully helps relax...

Aaron: hmm allright sounds good I think I have an idea for a costume in mind allready so how do we start this we just show up I the nick of Time and idk you shouldn't have to show me yours isn't a secret Identity supposed to be the most important part of the costume?

"Thank you..." Mariah whispered, a light smile slowly making its way onto her lips. Everything about her was in the open, now, and if she made it through the rest of the night alright, the worst part was all over. Well, until Luca tried to get back at her again. That would surely be put on hold until after he claimed the title, however. Without her assistance, every bit of his time would have to be devoted to making sure he kept his game up. At least there was that.

Alex: ( as thw night continues for the two sitting there come on now ( he picks her up ) ita getting Abit chilly up here and of course it is Abit late so let's get you home okay? ( he activates his power one more time as he jumps from rooftop to rooftop with Mariah as he lands infront of her residence and he helps her into her apartment) sorry I wish the date could of gone Abit better without any sort of distractions like that...( he smiles lightly at her) so I take it I get the couch tonight? I mean you didn't want me to leave right I mean that is unless you want me to head home if so I totally understand

Girl: truth is you don't want to leave yet either do you?...

A light blush fell across Mariah's cheeks at Alex's suggestion, although it wasn't very visible with the bruise. She hadn't expected him to actually plan to stay the entire night, just to stay with her on the roof. She was glad that he offered, and that he still wanted to spend time with her after everything that had happened, but it still took her by complete surprise.

"Well, um, you're more than welcome to stay if you'd like..." she replied as she unlocked the door, using it as an excuse to look away while the blush faded. "But you don't have to if you don't want to. I would understand, after all..."

Alex: n-no I want too I mean I guess a part of me doesn't want to leave your side yet...sorry is that weird miri?...( he blushes as he looks around at her apartment and admires some of the decor silently to himself and he can't help but feel like its a nice homey feeling place in order to try to play it off and act cool about it) I umm yeah I want to

Announcer: this just in! Sternbild forefights actpss the city as well as blmb threat hve got the heroes busy througj pit the coty as another fierce firefight has broken out between a group claiming themselves to be the Anti heroes! And the local police it doesn't seem to be turning in the polices favor as heroes have yet to arrive on scene And yet the new hero zetman remains inactive for these past 4 months wait here comes Maverick Arriving on scene at indignant speeds he seems to have determination to end this violence

Alex: sigh it's about time for me to come back wouldn't you say so? ( he tosses his cigarette as he steps on it and he walks of)

Grl: (smiles at him)

( on scene)

Maverick: come then evil dooers I maverick shall put and end to your tyranny by myself if I must! ( he runs at a blindin speed as he manages to take down a few rogue power users) raGgghh!!! You can't have this city!!!

Aaron: ( he loads a pistol as he takes his bandana and he wraps it so it covers his face as he adjusts his hat and throws up the hood he has on te sweatshirt hes wearing as it reveals a intrigue and stylish design of black wings on the back he looks pretty thugged out) I hope I meet zalthorn in time( he runs off a e takes to the roof tops and he begins running)

Zalthorn stood with his back to the sun casting a shadow over the policeman in front of him, the officer was shouting orders into a walkie talkie while looking at Zalthorn. Zalthorn taps the officer on his shoulder as he walks past him. "Keep an eye out, I'll drive as many as I can into the open so you can detain them." Zalthorn walks past the police blockade, many 'Anti Heroes' are attacking from under cover but using his powers Zalthorn can tell where the closest ones are and which route to take to deal with them. He has his right hand by his holster and walks in the blind spot of his first target and when he gets close he grabs the arms of the Anti Hero from behind him and drags him to the ground with a thud, stepping on the space in between the man's shoulder blades. Zalthorn pulls until the arms slide out of their sockets, the action is so fast that the Anti Hero hasn't had the time to scream and passes out from the pain. "That's all you can endure? It's sad when a pansy like you fights some real men in battle." He whistles a tone and leaves the man in sight of the police, two men with riot shields take him away. Zalthorn pushes onward. He senses movements in a building above him and at the same time a grenade is thrown toward the police blockade from a high floor in the building. Within a fraction of a second he pulls his two pistols from their holsters, both loaded with rubber bullets and opens fire on the falling explosive. It is hit by only a few bullets but is veered far off course and explodes in mid-air causing only the sound to reach the officers. Not wasting time, Zalthorn runs into the building expecting them to have more grenades he begins running up the stairs while reloading his guns.

Aaron: ( he's running Across rooftops) You can hardly call this get up a hero suit but I can't afford all of those nice fancy gadgets anyway and nice materials for a costume anyway...Yeesh half the time people are more afraid of me then they are of the rogues ( he stops as he slides as he sees the gunfight but he notices rogue positioning themselfs on the roof tops) that's not good ( he backs up as he starts running and he leaps this huge gap and he rolls as he lands on the same roof top as them) now now that's not fair come play with me for a Bit ( he runs T them as he shows his expertise in hand to hand combat to hold them At bay as he found house kicks one rogue in the face slamming him into the ground )

And Then I came in and was all like I'm the real hero and opened a portal in time. The portal flung us all into the future and changed the entire world. Now no one has powers and is forced to work desk jobs. A sad clown plays a violin in his cubicle and is immediately thrown out onto the streets. Deal with it. I'm Back.
