Kazuto: ( he jerks himself awake accidentally due to the same bad dream he had earlier though this time it was Abit different in where it had rei in it)...damn I had that dream again why does this keep happening ( he glances down towards rei hoping it didn't wake her as he shuts his eyes trying to regain sleep but he still feels bothered and even alittle scared)

Kazuto's faint jerk startled Rei awake. She initially kept still, her eyes remaining closed, but her hand instinctively slid down her side until it touched the holstered pistol at her thigh. She brushed her fingers over the metal while she listened, and only when she felt certain enough that no one dangerous was in the clearing did she move her hand from her gun.

Rei could tell by his heartbeat that Kazuto was bothered by something; she just didn't know what. She laid her now free hand on top of his arm and began tracing small circles with her fingertips, while gently nuzzling her head into his chest to try to comfort him. "Is everything alright?," she softly mumbled, her tone heavy with sleep.

Kazuto: sorry did I wake you?..Its nothing really I just had a bad dream it scared me alittle bit that's all sorry if that sounds silly..the last thing I would of wanted was to wake you sorry..( he smiles softly)

"I suppose I agree," Asher replied after swallowing a bite of his food. "And I haven't been out of the social loop so long that I didn't call and cancel the reservation either. I suppose I should have clarified that earlier." The last bit had been accompanied by a light laugh and he ate another bite as he finished speaking. The food was wonderful, and at least that had remained a normal occurrence. It was the only thing, but it was something. "I truely do apologize about this whole situation, though. If I had had any idea it would have ended up like this, I would have just waited to ask you to dinner. I'm glad I was able to spend some more time with you, however, even if said time was spent in an...interesting way, you could say."

Rei shook her head a little in response, adding "I'm a light sleeper. Part of the job," with a light laugh. She seemed to fall back asleep for a few moments except that her fingers kept tracing patterns on his arm, but in reality she was simply thinking.

"If it might make you feel better, we could always go back to my place for the night, morning, whatever it's considered at this point..." Rei realized after she said it that what she had offered could be taken one of two ways, one of which caused a faint pink to touch her cheeks. She quickly clarified what she had meant, adding, "I mean, I live closer to here than you do, and I have a guest bedroom that you could use for the night as well..."

Kazuto: ( he blushes At first) s-sure if you wouldn't mind me staying there for the night I would love to if it's no big deal....but either way I'm okay as long as your comfortable its fine by me ( he smiles at her as he accIdentally yawns)

Kazuto's yawn became contagious, and Rei soon found herself covering a yawn with her hand. "It's no problem at all, if you don't mind, Kazuto," she said when she could speak again. She reached up and rubbed her eyes, trying to wake herself up enough to drive home safely. It was maybe a twenty minute drive to her house from the grotto, but she didn't dare try driving it half-awake. There were way too many curved roads in between the two. "You would probably be more comfortable laying in a bed as opposed to laying against this tree, so if you're really okay with it we can go back to my place to sleep for now. Like I said, I have a guest room so you wouldn't have to sleep on the couch or anything... And I can make breakfast whenever we wake up too, if you don't have any plans for today."

Kazuto: ( he blushed at the fact of rei making him breakfast I'm the morning as he nods at her) yeah that sounds nice I'm pretty sure I'm free tomorrow I might just be busy later in the day I might have to attend a class in the after noon ( he looks at her ) but I'd love to stay and possibly wake up to the wonderful smell of your cooking as weird as that sounds ( he smiles playfully but a part of him is still bothered by his dream)

"It's not weird at all. I just hope you like it when I actually make it." Rei stood, laughing at her statement, and offered Kazuto a hand after stretching. She was awake for now, but she was still exhausted.

Twenty minutes later, Rei turned the key in the ignition and cut off her car. They were finally back at her house and the sun was beginning to rise to greet them. 'It's too early/late' she thought as she climbed out of her car, locking it behind her. She locked the house door behind her as well as soon as Kazuto entered. She gave him a quick tour of the house, ending up outside of her own bedroom door. "Lastly, this is my room," she said, pointing at a room done in black and white tones. She reached across the hallway and opened the door directly opposite of her room, revealing a room done in earthy brown and tan tones. She smiled and moved back so Kazuto could get a good look into the room. "And this will be your room for the night, if you're alright with it."

She had showed him the bathroom at the end of the hall and offered him anything he could find in it to use if he wanted to shower or anything, making sure to emphasize that the only thing he might not want to deal with was the small crystal bottle in the cabinet over the sink. It was distinct, as it was the only thing in there with an actual stopper top, but she had showed him just to make sure he understood. It held holy water that she used in case she was bitten or scratched by any neogenes. Most weren't contagious, like the djinn and the dragons, but occasionally the vampires and shifters could 'transmit' their abilities to victims. Either way, Rei didn't take chances and kept a bottle in her house just in case. Seeing as how that was really the only thing she needed to mention, she nodded to herself and reached her hand up, covering yet another yawn.

"Like I said, feel free to help yourself to anything you need, Kazuto. Oh, and if you need anything, like more pillows, there should be some in the top of the walk-in closet on the wall opposite the bed. If it's something you can't find, I'm right across the hallway. Just knock and I'll do what I can," she offered with a smile when she could speak again, her tone beginning to sound more and more tired.

Kazuto: allright yeah thanks again for letting me stay the night ( he smiles though his dream still bothers him) Come on Kazuto let it go I want to Tay with her tonight but I can't I just can't let it bother me that's all it was a dream nothing is gonna happen....but why why do I keep havig the same dream?

"No problem," Rei replied, hiding another yawn with her hand. Kazuto still seemed uncomfortable, and she couldn't help but wonder why. It was so obvious across his face that something was bothering him; Rei just didn't know what it was. She couldn't help but wonder if she was scaring him away by asking him to stay, as she didn't know how she would have replied should he have asked the same question. Sure, she had stayed the night with men before, such as when she was helping Jason and Kierran, but this was something completely different. This wasn't staying together for work, or to keep alive by having one person on guard while the other slept. This was staying together for the sake of staying together.

"Kazuto, are you sure everything is okay? I can take you home if this seems too fast for you or anything. I really won't mind..." she asked hesitantly, biting her lower lip gently after she fell silent.

Kazuto: no its nothing really it's just that bad dream I had from earlier was still bothering me it usually doesn't bother me but I feel a tiny bit worried is all I feel like I'm being haunted by this dream for some reason( he smiles a her to reeasure her) yeah I mean you know how that goes right?.. ( he sits on the bed ) anyway Its no big deal it's late and I wouldn't want to bore you with the details I guess imnjust...scared cause of the dream ( he looks away embarrassed)

"Yeah," Rei sighed as she took a seat next to Kazuto on the bed. It had been slept on all of three times, so it was basically new and extremely comfortable to the touch. "I know about nightmares... The first time I did an actual hunt, I... Well, I didn't sleep good for weeks. I actually had to have my brother over for a night or two until I fell asleep. It was pretty bad... Now I basically don't dream. I guess my mind automatically blocks the nightmares now." A semi-awkward laugh escaped her throat, covering for the way she felt about discussing those dark times.

She laid her hand on top of his and smiled, squeezing it gently enough to show that she wanted to comfort him. "So don't be embarrassed, because I of all people can understand. If you want, I can sit with you until you fall asleep. Asher used to do it for me, brushing my hair over and over on the especially rough nights. It was very comforting... At least for me."

"Stop apologizing so much, you're starting to sound more like a broken record than the old lady here." Ember regretted what she had said immediately and winced as the ghost turned her fierce paper onslaught onto the medium. "Ok ok, stop it stop it. STOP IT!" She shouted finally, drawing looks from everybody in the restaurant. Ember looked around and then kicked Asher's shin to make them think he had been playing footsie or something else more normal than her shouting at a ghost they couldn't see. "Robin." Ember growled and put a hand on her scarf. The familiar bowed her head, whimpered, and disappeared into the cloth. "Sorry about that Asher." Ember said sheepishly sighed looked up at him apologetically.

Kazuto: yeah if that wouldn't be too much trouble maybe... That soy ds really nice actually but if your too tired it's okay ( he lies down as he rests his lap on her lap) I'm sorry rei I know your tired it's really okay like I said I should be allright

Asher reached down, rubbing his shin where it had been kicked, but he kept an embarrassed smile on his face anyway. "It's quite alright. I probably deserved it. I did give you quite possibly the worst date ever. In fact, if you would like to beat me up a little more, I wouldn't complain. Promise," he said with a laugh. He reached over the table and gently cupped her cheek with his hand, lifting her gaze to his own. "The point is, you don't need to apologize, okay? No harm done."

'Leave it to an awkward moment to make this night somewhat less awkward,' he thought to himself, his smile growing a little wider at the thought.

As soon as Kazuto laid on her lap, Rei instinctively began to brush his hair with her finger, gently pulling it away from his face. She was sitting in a position that made laying back against the headboard of the bed possible while not moving him any, so she laid back and closed her eyes. "Don't worry about it, Kazuto," she said softly, her voice low with sleep. "I don't mind..."

Kazuto: ( he lays there relaxing for a few brief moments at first he has trouble shutting his eyes without seeing the visions from his dream though Reis soothing voice manages for kazuto's mind to clear as he nuzzles his head into her lap as if he begins to feel reminiscent as he gently falls fast asleep as he mumbles accidentally like a little kid ) I love you...rei

Maram slowly stood up, though it felt a bit hopeless to think that the situation would cool down after just a day or so. She was about to walk down when one of Delano's guards motioned for her to head inside the police station. She followed his instructions and opened the door. She closed it to see a group of what looked to be representatives from another company. She closed her eyes and tried to keep herself from thinking that this might have anything to do with the current situation.

Meanwhile, in a rather heated discussion, Cole Delano was not making progress with a formidable opponent. "You seem rather annoyed, for a Djinn of your status not to know about such things until recently."

"Her powers are more than enough to consider her legitimate, so why do you not approve of it?"

"It is my employee's decision. You can't force the matter."

Ember placed her hand over"Hahah, worst date. Hardly. That particular honor belongs to a ghost. Oddly enough, I do enjoy food and cemeteries do nothing for me." Her hand made it's way up Asher's arm to his chin. "So, my chaperone's away, at least for a little while. What do you want to do now that it's just the two of us?" She ran her thumb up the scar and smiled at him.

A smile lit Rei's lips just before sleep reclaimed her mind. She wanted to reply, say, "I love you too," but the words only echoed in her mind as another dreamless darkness spread before her. Everything became as peaceful as it had been at the grotto once more.

Ember's words caught Asher a little off guard, but he smiled and took the opportunity with as much grace as he found possible. "Well, seeing as how we have a second, and since I know I haven't completely ruined your night, I suppose I would want to do this and hope that I keep the night going better than your worst." The table was wide enough for them to be seated comfortably apart, but yet close enough that they weren't too far away from one another. Asher leaned in and kissed her lips gently, holding their lips together long enough to show he felt an attraction to her, yet short enough that he didn't seem like a creep.
