"Sorry," Asher had called as soon as she had pulled her hand back. Her second comment made him consider the spirit in the car with them, making him feel a little better about his action. Her taking his hand back reassured him that it had been the spirit that had caused her to jerk away, not that he had surprised her, and he couldn't help but smile a little wider. "Delano, the owner of the brothel, was a dragon, if I'm not mistaken. He must have gotten involved anyway..." What Delano had said over the phone earlier repeated in Asher's head as clearly as if he were just now hearing it, and he grit his teeth a little. She'll page if she needs us he repeated as a mantra in his head, trying his hardest to relax a little.

"The spirit before, he didn't say anything about a dark haired girl fighting said dragon, did he?"

Kazuto: I'm not sure I try not to ease drop on conversation ( he looks towards Jason rather shocked) wait you didnt know of this place?....then how'd you know this was her spot? ( he looks towards Jason) This guy....I don't get him....also something about him bugs me... umm sorry about that? I don't know what to say maybe she just forgot unless she didn't trust you enough? ( he notices Jason glare at him) sorry I didn't mean to sound rude or anything please don't kill me... ( he sits down turnin to face Jason)

"Anti-djinn rounds are only dangerous if they are fired in the brain or the heart." Delano spoke, his knowledge certain. "I can't run a brothel without knowing that." He spoke, looking at Maram's wound with his eyes once. The djinn was a good shot to get it where it wouldn't bleed too much and still give time to treat it personally. He looked at the djinn one more time with the animosity growing a his other claw formed. "Give me the name of the man who sent you, and I might just let you get killed by the nosy hunter."

"You won't get away with using the daughter of such a powerful djinn." The sentence was not something lightly accepted. He could see Cole's visible reaction, tossing the djinn towards Rei.

"Put Maram in the car. I'll treat her at home." He spoke towards the driver, his dragon skin disappearing slowly. "It's your execution, nosy hunter." He spoke as he opened the car door to allow the driver to place the injured employee in the car. He motioned for the driver to begin driving away.

"No." She confirmed. "But I didn't ask, and people who are running for their lives rarely waste time putting themselves in another's does to volunteer information that could stop them from escaping whatever they're running from. Even if it's only imagined danger." She explained with the certainty you only got from being in that position before. Although, her fears had been very real.

"I could smell her," Jason answered, nonchalantly. "This area smells strongly of her, and since I was close by, I followed it here." He continued laying back, enjoying the breeze until Kazuto insinuated that Rei didn't trust him. That made him glance Kazuto's way. "Why do you fear me so much, Kazuto? Regardless of what I may think of you, according to you, Rei cares for you. Even if I hated your guts, I wouldn't lay a hand on you without you provoking me unless she told me it was alright. As I said earlier, I know enough about her to fear her."

Rei watched Cole drive away with the injured female in the car, her instincts forcing her attention to stay more on the djinn at her feet. Of course she had known about the rounds. Her kind had created the rounds, for goodness' sake. The woman still needed medical attention, and Cole Delano better give it to her. If Rei found out that a female djinn died because of Delano, she would be back knocking at his doors shortly after. She finished the job and called in the rest of the crew. She was ready to go home now. Delano had put her in a bad mood.

Asher appeared at the scene with Ember beside him moments later, a look of relief on his face as he exited the car. "Everything went alright?" he asked her calmly.

"Delano's unbearable, but other than that yes. Keep watch for a dead female djinn, though. She was injured in the fight, but Delano wouldn't let me treat her. If she ends up dead because of him, I want the order for his head," she replied blankly.

Asher nodded and reached up, wiping a bit of blood off of his sister's face. "You signed the paperwork?" Rei nodded, falling silent. "Alright, I guess you're good to go then. This is Ember, before you leave," he added, taking Ember's hand and pulling her toward Rei gently. "She was the one I was telling you about. Jess' friend."

"Nice to meet you," Rei said with a tender smile. She realized that her hair was probably half out of the braid by now, and who knows if she wore more blood on her outfit, but it was dark so hopefully she looked at least a little presentable. She took the time to brush the loose strands of her hair behind her ears before holding her hand out to the woman before her. "I wish I could say it was on better terms, but it's nice regardless. I'm Rei."

Kazuto: "smell" Certaintly got a strong sense of smell for a human...that sounds like something I would say I get what he's saying but that's only cause of I'm not human( he gave Jason a odd look) its not that I fear you sorry if it felt that way but ever since I was a kid i've just had a hard time trusting people so it's not you sorry if it seemed that way it's just who I am I guess ( he runs his head as he smiles playfully like usual) this conversations too serious...you like music? ( he picks up his flute) if it stinks sorry ahaha ( he begins playing a calm relaxing melody

"I suppose it's understandable," Jason admitted before Kazuto began playing his flute. "Me being a hunter, and you looking to be a young neogene and all... Though I suppose that if you're a vampire, you could be older than me, but I wouldn't know a difference without fighting you. That's something only Rei can do, as far as I'm aware." When the flute music began covering the area, he relaxed back again and closed his eyes, almost feigning sleep.

Kazuto: ( he continues playing to ignore his statement) theres no way he could tell I'm a Neogene not from first glance especially not a vampire...am I that obvious no of course he might be trying to judge my reaction who knows? ( as he finishes playing) I accept tips just throwing that out there haha( he starts to laugh) would you like to hear another to pass the time good sir? ( he begins playing another relaxing melody to pass the time as the look on kazuto's face makes him seem like the most calm and relaxed person in the world)

Ember shook Rei's hand smiling, she was about to say something when Robin broke in with a burst of wind, ruining both of their hairs. "Ember, nice to meet you too." Robin curled around Rei's legs, purring and rubbing up against her. She blew some hair out of her eyes. "And that little ball of hot air was Robin. She doesn't usually take to people this quickly."

Jason reached into his pocket, still looking as if he were sleeping, pulling his hand back out moments later. He tossed his hand Kazuto's way and a handful of one-hundred dollar bills lay crumpled at Kazuto's feet. A smirk crossed his lips, but he otherwise remained silent.

When Rei took her hand back, she pulled the hairband from her hair and began brushing it through with her fingers. It was tangled, but overall not too bad. The feeling of hot air around her legs was comforting, almost like a small pet. "An air spirit? That's interesting. It's been awhile since I've been around an elemental spirit, but I can't say I've ever been around an air spirit and known it anyway." She looked down at her legs and smiled, calling "And hello to you too, Robin."

She then looked back at Asher, asking what time it was. He replied, and it was way later than she had anticipated. "Did you two manage to have your plans tonight, or did this ridiculous case keep you from your plans as well?"

Kazuto: this is too much....( he looks at the money) t-thanks! ( he continues to play his best he was sure he would give Reis friend a great performance as well as money well spent on his part as the music becomes slower and slower it becomes a solemn serenade or sorts meant to soothed the mind and hearts of all listeners he even begins to attract the attention of the birds as they slowly drift to sleep)

Ember wrapped a hand around Asher's. "We decided on dinner and a show-OH." Robin had apparently decided to return to her duties as "protector" at that moment and headbutted Ember. Or tried to at least, the medium had let go off Asher's hand an instant after grabbing it and caught the flying elemental like a basketball. The two wrestled until Ember finally said, "Haven't even tried to kiss him and you're already- Ok that's it, Robin, settle down and behave or I'm taking the batteries out of your glow worm." It didn't take but a second for the air elemental to huff and puff angrily and scurry over to Rei. "She's never behaved this badly so early on a first date, I swear. Are you two related to any psychics?"

"Wouldn't know," Rei and Asher admitted at the same time. They both laughed lightly at the occurrence, Asher's cheeks slightly red from Ember's comments to Robin. "Our parents died when we were kids. I hardly even remember them," Rei said with a smile still light on her lips despite the conversation topic. She reached down as if to pet Robin even though she couldn't see the spirit. She could feel it though and tried her hardest to soothe it. "Poor thing seems to be rather attached to you, Ember. That, or she sees through Ash's good boy act and knows how he really is." She laughed as Asher's blush spread further across his cheeks, but calmed down shortly after.

"No, he's not like that. He's usually a stick in the mud, so it's good that you have him out and about. You'll both be alright if you stick around him, I promise you that." She took a glance at the moon overhead and sighed. She was very late for her meeting. "I hate to up and run, but I kind of have plans of my own for the night, er, morning. Maybe we could all meet up sometime more suitable for coffee?" she asked with a smile, hoping not to seem rude.

Jason continued feigning sleep, though in reality he was taking in every detail of their surroundings. The music was interesting, as was the painting he had noticed earlier. The most interesting thing that he had noticed about Kazuto was that Rei was dating him, however, so he couldn't wait to ask her about that.

Ember was paying more attention to Robin's behavior than Asher. Is she actually touching Robin? Ember pushed the thought aside and smiled at Rei. "I do love coffee. It was nice meeting you Rei." She tested Robin's memory by sliding her hand into Asher's, the spirit sulked and fluttered through the air after Ember. There was no telling when the air elemental would forget about the threat to her glow worm and return to interfering with Ember's love life.

Rei shivered slightly at the loss of the warm air around her legs, but otherwise lost connection with Robin and her location. "You as well," Rei replied with a smile. She walked over to hug her brother goodbye and hugged Ember as well. Yes, they had only just met, but Rei was typically a good judge of character and she liked Ember, and Robin. "Just have Ash call me whenever you two are available to meet up, and I'll gladly meet you two at a more suitable hour. Have a good night, both of you."

Asher nodded, gently squeezing Ember's hand. His blush had vanished, but Rei could still see a small hint of embarrassment on his face. It was nice to see Asher getting back out into the world. "You too, Rei. Be safe." It was Rei's turn to nod in reply, and with a wave she turned to leave. Her car was parked close by, so she was on her way to the grotto within minutes. It took her around thirty minutes from where she was to arrive at the edge of the forest, but she managed to crawl through the surrounding trees in minutes. A flute guided her to the grotto, and she couldn't help but smile when she noticed Kazuto playing. A tingle shot up her spine, as she drew closer, however, drawing her attention to a log opposite Kazuto.

Jason sat up with his eyes still closed, smiling wide as his gaze met Rei. "Well hello there, my beautiful little hunter," he called, watching her step into the clearing's moonlit area.

"Jason? What are you doing here?" Rei asked, a confused smile lighting her face. Jason walked over and wrapped his arms around her, kissing her cheek lightly as he did.

"Well, I stopped by to catch up with you since I was in the area, but it looks like your boyfriend here has filled me in on the most important parts that I've missed." He laughed softly at her blush and reached up to wipe his finger across her cheek. "Someone's been busy hunting tonight, hasn't she? You still have a little bit of blood splattered on you."

Rei blushed deeper, but turned her gaze toward Kazuto. At least now she knew her face was clean. She walked over to him and embraced him before explaining. "I'm sorry I kept you waiting. I see you've met Jason. I hope he wasn't too much trouble. Jason's my backup whenever I need help for large work orders."

"As she helps me when I need help," Jason chimed in. "And I haven't been trouble at all, I don't believe. Kazuto and I have just been talking, primarily about you, Ms. Delacroix." Rei rolled her eyes at his interruption and continued explaining the situation to Kazuto. "Anyway, things got kind of complicated earlier, so that's why I ended up taking so long, and then my brother decided that I needed to meet his new girlfriend right after finishing the hunt, and," she sighed, resting her head against his shoulder with her eyes closed. "It's just been a crazy night...I'm sorry I'm late..." And Jason showing up out of nowhere isn't making it any less crazy...Oh well, I do need to tell him about this burn... she thought, unconsciously reaching her hand up to trace over the hidden burn mark.

"So," Asher said softly as soon as Rei left, "What would you like to do? It's fairly early into the morning, so if you want to get breakfast, I'm alright to go now. If not, I'll understand and take you home for the night. Again, I'm sorry you ended up like this when I had promised you dinner..."

Kazuto: Sigh......she's safe that's good like I care how he greets her but....still...whatever...( he smiles to himself a gentle smile as he holds her tighter as she embraces him) so your not hurt you?... ( As he places his flute down as he kisses her lightly as he pulls back) honestly you shouldn't of had to rush I'm just glad your safe rei...you okay? ( he notices her reaching for her burn)

It has been a day since Germaine was abducted by the two, and she's made herself comfortable, Raven entered the warehouse with Germaine saying "welcome back", Raven just nodded at her and spoke to Teresa who was as usual in front of her computer, "found anything on why the mob's targeting her?" he asked Teresa, "here" replied Teresa as she showed him the laptop, Raven looked at it and showed it to Germaine, in the picture was Germaine and beside her was a dark haired young man with Glasses, "Thats Yuri Sewell" replied Germaine, "why?" she added as Raven sat down, "he's the leader of a Neogene vigilante group called morningstar, the same group I've been dealing with lately till they tried to make me kill you" replied Raven, "me? Why?" asked Germaine, "because of your connection, but unfortunately that's not how I roll" replied Raven, Germaine looked at him confused and asked, "why not?", Raven didn't answer and instead answered her with a question, "so how do you know this yuri?", "we're in the same club at school, and an honor student, our parents think its a good idea if we get married, so technically he's my fiance" she answered, Raven then stood up, "I'm gonna go take a walk, just watch after her Teresa" said Raven as he put on his mask and left, Germaine then faced Teresa and asked her the same question, "why didn't he kill me?", "because you're innocent in this whole affair, just caught in the crossfire, that and we don't get paid for killing you anyway,don't worry, things will be back to normal for you soon" answered Teresa as she went back to her computer, Germaine just sat on her futon wondering what will happen...

"Urrgghh" muttered Raven as he felt pain in his left hand then took off his glove, a strange mark on top of his hand started to glow as he put the glove back on,

"Hey," Ember looked up into Asher's eyes, "you're not getting ridding of me that easily. Some lame excuse like I had to go save the city from the Joker isn't going to work on me. I will not go the way of Vicky Vale. I am going to be no less than Selena Kyle. So put away the cape and cowl, Detective, and sweep me off my feet."

Rei noticed him watch her and slid her hand away in a manner that seemed casual. "Um, yes, I'm alright. I didn't get injured tonight; just pretty upset at a dragon. I'm just thinking about a small injury from the other night. I'm still sorry that I'm late," she added to try to shift the conversation. Now that she wasn't being held in Kazuto's arms, she took a seat beside where he had been sitting moments before and looked over toward Jason. "So what brought you over here, Jason? I know you didn't come by just to say 'hi'..."

"I would if either of us ever kept off the clock for more than a night or two," Jason replied, mocking injury in his tone at her accusation. "But if you must know, I was chasing a rogue coven of vampires. Not only did your wonderful little talents come to mind, but they also crossed over into your territory, so I thought I'd come and see if you wanted to help me finish my job." Images of the coven she had fought two nights ago flashed in her head immediately, and she couldn't help but ask, "A coven with a female leader, old enough to shadow step but not too old, with two ancients and a few new bloods as lackeys?" Jason looked stunned at the description, but quickly regained his composure, taking a seat again as well. "So you've met them?"

"Unfortunately..." Rei mumbled. "I was actually going to ask you about at least one of them. Kazuto helped me take all but their leader out, but she isn't my main concern right now. One of her ancients, Maugis... he was stronger than any ancient I've ever heard of, much less seen. He...Well, he was able to injure me in a way he shouldn't have," she finally admitted, keeping her gaze as far away from Kazuto as she could.

"Did he bite you?" Jason replied, his expression sheer panic now. Rei quelled that fear with a shake of her head, laughing slightly to try to pick up the mood a little. "He scratched me with his fang, but I cleansed it that night. The other injury he gave me, he... burned me with my own silver pendant. Nothing more than a first degree burn, it looks like it might scar, but still..."

"That's unheard of," Jason finished for her. He stood and walked over before her, kneeling down in front of her. "Show me."

Rei immediately blushed and most would assume it was just the closeness between them or the quiet, seriousness of his tone that caused it. In reality, however, it was the fact that she was being asked to show a wound like this in front of Kazuto. It wasn't on a spot that was close to being inappropriate to show, but it was more than either of the men before her had seen of her.

"You're enjoying this, arn't you?" Asher asked Ember, squeezing her hand gently in his. "Well, Ms. Kyle, shall we take the Batmobile and find a place to spend this morning now that I'm done capturing some mentally insane criminal?" He laughed lightly and led her back to the car, making sure she got in before he took his own seat. He started the car and looked over at the woman sitting beside him. "Since I'm to sweep you off your feet, does that mean that you expect me to pick where we eat as well, or does my companion in crime fighting have a preference?"

Kazuto: ( he looks away quickly to hide his expression of anger it was a more serious look than anyone including rei would ever see once he learns of how she was injured) no calm down Kazuto I can't let it happen not now not infront of her I can't change...I need to control my anger.... ( he Continues to look away as his eyes change slightly sothey look closer to shirous from earlier but he shakes it off as they revert to normal as he looks at rei)...if you don't want me to see I can look away if you really wish rei if it will make will make you more comfortable I wish she knew She didn't have to keep these things from me I've seen worse
