I had thought that the numbers corresponded to the "attack" keys to be pressed (like how in Tekken is 1 = LP, 2 = RP, etc), and the letters were probably directions but I couldn't figure them out. I see i was interpreting it totally backwards now o3o lol

RF: Watched the anime Betterman. Suggestion to everyone, NEVER WASTE YOUR TIME BY WATCHING THE ANIME BETTERMAN.

You don't really get attached to any of the characters, they never distinguish a REAL main character, AND EVERYONE IS USELESS. It loosely relates itself to Hinduism, spews nonsense about biology constantly to cover up inconsistencies, and the end is a complete cop out. NOTHING makes sense EXCEPT the ending and only if you know some Hindu mythology.

 The 2 main characters, a smart guy and an illiterate hot chick, who were childhood friends, die INSIDE the primordial soup that created all life, are reunited in Nirvana, but their DNA combined in the liquid to make a baby. The entire human race was destroyed because of a DNA virus that caused them to kill each other and themselves. Its all a bunch of **** involving the next step in humanity, and the ultimate being.

In short, don't waste your time.  Everyone dies in the end of it, even the father and daughter they show being left alive at the end definitely died at sea from having no drinkable water/starving to death.

Also, on a side note they keep mentioning something about "Everything in the sky is also on the Earth, the stars are also on the Earth. Solving this is the key to happiness." Its one of those ancient Hindu principles, it means all things are made of energy, even yourself, and energy cannot die. This was proven by splitting the Atom, which makes up all things.

5 is the joystick in neutral. Ragna opens up with 6B, 5C, 2C, 214A -> 214D. Guilty Gear also use this except it's punch, kick, slash and heavy slash.

On another note. I have a bunch of college neighbors living next door. They party A LOT. The noise gets irritating on the weekends. I wonder if they get any complaints already? A lot of them are car buffs. Always fixing their cars. I know, I sound like an old fart.

I thought their idea of apoptosis was way more interesting even... That humanity as a whole could do things that don't make any sense and seem like a disease as part of an immune response. In many ways you can think of humanity as an organism, and as immortality as a cancer. It was as really interesting show to me. It's best taken with a side of GaoGaiGar FINAL, though...

If only they ever made GaoGaiGo...

Honestly, I found Emi's route harder than Hanako's and Lilly's. Rin's was the hardest by far, but worth it in the end

I guess one of my biggest issues is that the "main" character's love interest has nearly no personality or opinion, and a backstory that's just "Her parents and brother were explorers, they died, she misses them. She's the MC's childhood friend."

They have a lot to do with each other, Betterman is technically a sequel to GaoGaigar. Some of the climate events in Betterman are actually being caused by the villains from GaoGaiGar FINAL, not by anything in Betterman. Some of the same characters (one of the main character's classmates, and a few people Mamoru purified in GaoGaiGar), technologies (like mirror coating), and abilities (like limpid channel) show up in both. Wikipedia mentions it, although it doesn't go into that much detail:

I don't really remember, I think there was a lot more going on then those two characters... I probably need to rewatch it, all I remember is the good parts. Like the episode about hunger. Or the reason only humans fear the dark. Or the millions of other cool Better-isms. That series had a lot of top-notch writing by the guy who created Gatekeepers later the same year. Actually, that might explain the boring main relationship...
