Re: Time is the Price
((To be fair, KiteXX, None of us, save you, know how this world works. We can only go on assumptions until explained. And the saying of fighting fire with fire isn't literal. It's only that things on a similar, but opposite form easily counter each other. But if this how this world works, then it's whatever.))
Tallia merely watched on at the exchange between Zorlo and Haayn as she 'put away' the Gauntlet and crossed her arms. "Great. So what the Brit's saying is, I'm the only one not sitting on an extra week of life or more. So, if neither of you have anything left to inquire about or otherwise, I have to do my best not to die again!" she finished as she turn to shut the door and paused, staring at her hand. Though the others couldn't tell, Tallia could 'see' and feel her armor shaking. It just like before, on the Hospital rooftop. "...it's coming..." she whispered to herself.

(I'm just saying, you can't know what god's are around and which aren't. Especially since there is only one targeted at this such moment. The element distribution is a wee bit odd i know, but think of a dot of black paint the size of a paintball on a completely white surface, that would be like us versus the Angels. We being black and whatnot.)
"Oh come now, I've died twice already, Wasn't all bad. Made a deal with another demon and came back once again. I mean check this out." He flipped his eyelids up revealing 999. "It's so i'll never forget, even when I close my eyes." Haayn was about to explain even more in detail over their soon to be hellish fate if they failed when he paused, turned around and opened his eyes in wide Despair. "Angels..."

Re: Time is the Price
"Well... that's..." Zorlo paused. Normally, this was the witty retort part of the conversation. "Never mind... I suppose this "angel" must die," the man said as he seemed to stand at the other end of the building. "Let's go meet up with this creature, shall we? All of us need time, but I think we should decide which needs it more. I still have six days," the magical warrior said as darkness began to spin around his body. "When one thinks of it, this is only natural, right? We kill to survive... this is no different from normal humanity, the only difference is the enemy we face. WE are fighting beings created by an Almighty force. The great Sky God who spewed life forth, etcetera, ellipsis!"

Re: Time is the Price
Tallia was already locking up her door, doing her best to keep her armor from trying to form on its own from the nearby Angel. She distinct wanted to scale a wall with her clawed Gauntlets, meaning it was still above them. "Then go die a third time. Some of us don't have lives lived only for themselves, Haayn!" she retorted in place of the silent Zorlo as she replaced the key in her pocket. "Zorlo, to answer your question, I have about two and a half days left. If you're going to help me, I welcome your assistance," she said to Zorlo before looking back to Haayn. "You sound as if you're strong. You can help too. Or go die again and save us the trouble," she finished as walked off.
Re: Time is the Price
(sorry im trying to make Haayn out to be a very plastic type of character, and it's currently making his dialogue suck.)
Re: Time is the Price
(No worries. He's just surrounded by an eccentric guy who likes to talk... mostly to himself, and a woman who needs only a few words. He'll just have to adapt to dealing with their quirks. ^_^)
Zorlo looked at her and didn't speak. The warrior removed his glasses and put them in his pocket. Patting the pocket, he took a deep breath as he began to walk. "Well then, well then, well then! We hunt, we hunt, we hunt! After that, we shall make even Aggamemnon look the fool, for his war lasted far longer than. In the next six days, I could be no more, or I can drive onwards, but no matter the cost, I will live my life just as Dr. Faust did! I will seek out knowledge and happiness, but I shall make even him look the fool. Heaven is beyond my grasp, but surely there are other places of equal virtue that a wandering soul can make rest!" the man said as he looked around, suddenly having wandered onto the roof. "When'd I get here... and more importantly... who have I been talking to while I was moving?" he asked, looking around.

Re: Time is the Price
(Yeah. The characters her are slightly less companionable then most Rps, so it can't be helped, Kite.)
Tallia sighed as she walked past the verbose swordsman. She thought as much before, but now she was sure. Zorlo talked with the sole purpose to hear himself talk, though she she chose not to speak her mind. After all, Zorlo seemed like he was trying to be friendly and he seemed useful too... "I'm still here, Zorlo. You half followed me, half led us here," she replied. She was about to see if Haayn had come as well when the sound of wings beating the air drew her attention. She staggered slightly as she fully took her armored state, the armor unwilling to stay suppressed any longer now that an Angel was in such close proximity. "It's you... The one from before on the roof," Tallia said as she suppressed the unexplainable rage that began building of its own accord. The Angel didn't reply, its head and chest completely covered in silver armor that made identifying a gender impossible. It bore a similar material shield and a claymore that it appeared to use one-handed freely. "Still no words for me. Fine," she said as she reached back to drive her claws into the door. Darkness dyed the steel door black and crimson as she tore it off the hinges to finish changing it into a single-edged, Demonic Curved Greatsword. Lacking a shield, she choose to two-hand it as the Angel raised its battle-scarred shield in readiness.

Re: Time is the Price
"A power, a power, a grand power indeed!" Zorlo said as a shield of darkness formed from the sheathe that Zorlo held in his right hand as he drew the angelic blade. "Still, this foe smells of battle. His armor and weapon are damaged and his brazen demeanor gives nothing of his person. Still, he stands proudly like any knight should. This battle grows, the heat of the sun shines, and life will move on. Winners and losers. In truth, we're all losers. We all serve tyrants and monsters," the wandering warrior said with a smile. "Anyway, angelic one, shall we fight? Shall you die? Shall I die? I believe purpose separates us, but in the end, everything shall close."
Zorlo smiled. It was somewhat ominous and he seemed mildly sad for a second as he smiled. SPinning the sheath, the shield spinning as well, "For Dr. Faust! The divine man who lost a deal with the devil! The one who brought confusion to both demons and gods. Let this fight begin!"

Re: Time is the Price
"This is sooo STUPID!" Haayn's voice sounded from somewhere above, seconds before carnage ensued and mere miliseconds before the other two could act, the Angel's form seemed to buckle for a half second, as if it was pushed forwards. Leaving Haayn holding to the brilliant wings for dear life by his mere pocket knife.
Re: Time is the Price
"Hehe," Zorlo chuckled secretively. "This guy may be bland as they get, but he's distinctly clever enough to do that. Not sure when he snuck past, but I shouldn't be surprised. My turn," Zorlo said as the shield formed form the sheathe vanished and he turned the tip of the sheath towards the ground. Red drops of magic fell to the ground as a black spot slowly formed. "I know what to do now. FEel free to follow up, my dear. Follow up indeed," the magic fencer said as the black puddle became massive and moved under the angel. "Nightmare Grip!" Zorlo yelled as a claw of darkness rose up and gripped onto the legs of the angel, shocking it as it began to be pulled down.
"Okay, one of you two kill it. I've lost my interest in this specimen," the fencer said as he stabbed his sword into the ground and removed his glasses from his pocket and put them on. "This angel is just as the one I killed before. Of the nine levels of angel, just the lowest. I'd hoped for something more exciting. I must learn more so I can denote them in my new journal," the man said as he continued to ramble on to himself as the dark claw held the angel's leg as it struggled.

Re: Time is the Price
Tallia paid Zorlo no mind. Indeed, she barely even heard his comment as she launched forward at the angel the moment it staggered forward from it wings being torn off, focused solely on the kill. A devastating upper slash split open the armor and splattered blood with horrendous screech as the greatsword cleaved through the metal armor. To it's credit, the angel recovered well enough to meet blades with her. Her next powerful slash smashed his shield aside with bone-wrenching force. Unable to dodge of defend, it wasn't all surprising that her next arcing swing tore open the being throat in a spray of red. It fell back only to catch a crushing, downward smash from Tallia bloody weapon. But she didn't stop... Die, die, die, die, die, die, die, die, die, die, die...! was all that went through her mind as she continued to slam her blade down on the Angelic corpse over and over, endlessly hitting it in her rage that covered her and her surrounding in the Angelic blood.
Re: Time is the Price
"Okay, that's enough," Zorlo said as the dark hand caught the sword and held it back. "HE's dead, he's dead, you've sliced off his head," the fencer said as the journal he was writing was held up by shadows as a pen wrote and denoted the two or three phenomena he had just witnessed. "For now, you've gained your extra week, so you can continue taking care of whatever it is you need this time for," the man stated as he crossed his arms and began to walk away as the darkness vanished and he caught the pen and journal. "I think we should return to your pad, ma'am, as methinks I have an idea. A most brilliant... nay, mad idea!"
Re: Time is the Price
Haayn slapped the back of Zorlo's head when he recovered. "To render thine enemies speechless." a small but meaningful quote. His eyes met Tallia's for a split second, as she turned towards her house. He immediately caught her shoulder. "Don't show them mercy. They won't show you any. Though the meek should inherit the Earth, it's ours for the time being." He blushed slightly, "Be careful."
Re: Time is the Price
"The dead speak not," he said as he rubbed the back of his head. "ANyway, don't waste time attacking your allies. It isn't smart to stand alone against this kind of foe. Between the three of us, these basic angels be not a problem, but I fear that should we pursue this too much, the higher ranking of angels will appear. After all, so far, I'm sure we've only killed the most basic level... there are still greater levels. I think in all of heaven, there are 9 levels of angels... although I'll need to double-check that later. To us humans, all these beings are the same, but whether or not they are would only make sense if others are witnessed," Zorlo said as he moved about, thinking to himself quietly.

Re: Time is the Price
Tallia took several deep breaths, doing her best to resuppress the rage inside her and ignore the blood covering much of her body. "Seraphim, Cherubim, Thrones, Dominion, Virtues, Powers, Principalities, Archangels, and Angels. Those are the ranks from highest to lowest," Tallia replied to Zorlo as she banished her armor to stand there in a blood-stained dress. "She sighed. "I don't care if you come, but I'm going home to take a shower and change before someone things I commited a murder," she finished before pausing to look back. "Huh... I guess I did..." And she walked into the stairwell.
Re: Time is the Price
"Hmm... perhaps I can learn something about these angels if I steal their corpses, huh?" Zorlo asked as the black pool of ooze appeared beneath the angel and it vanished into the abyss. "I'll be taking that," he said with a partially insane smirk. "Now then, off to go and be a peeping tom," he stated to himself jokingly, sure that he was going to get hit, if not by Tallia than by that other guy... ZOrlo hadn't fully found it necessary yet to remember his name. Had he even told them his name? He probably had. If Z listened long enough, he'd hear it again, that much he knew. The green-haired man headed into the apartment and sat down somewhere, looking around.
Re: Time is the Price
Haayn sighed, "I've seen a Seraphim. He killed me...with just a glance." Haayn's eye's seemed to dull slightly as he drifted into memories. An overwhelming eye...Engulfing everything around him. It's power seemed to swallow him, and then...blackness. "At this rate. the highest i've dealt with is an Archangel. I'll say it now. If we meet one of them," he immediately became serious, "We will surely be killed."
Re: Time is the Price
"You've met a Seraphim... and he killed you with a glance... you've suddenly become more interesting, sir," Zorlo said, trying to avoid the fact he'd forgotten the boy's name. "But you've killed an Archangel... interesting. I'm pretty convinced that what humans consider "Archangels", the generals of angels, are truly something higher... likely thrones or Cherubim. AFter all, if all angels that aren't under the being known as Metatron, those referred to as the Seraphim, took orders from such lowly creatures, Heaven would truly be a sad place," the theologian said as he wrote a few more notes and continued mumbling to himself about things that would make most people's heads spin.

Re: Time is the Price
((Sorry, I've been sick for a while and haven't been posting much.))
True to Zorlo's belief, someone did hit him. Tallia dinged him on the back of his head with a pole as she walked by with a towel and change of clothing. "Right... If I catch you, I have little intention of letting live long enough to appreciate the sight. I'm taking a shower, so please stay here in the living room as most of the other rooms are still under police investigation." She paused as she looked at Haayn. "And Haayn... of course we'll die if we meet a Seraph. We'd be screwed if anything higher then a Principality came after us right now," she finished before turning to walk into the bathroom, closing the door behind her. Her gauntlet formed and weaponized the pole into a sword that she stabbed through the bottom of the door to anchor it shut before the shower came on and she undressed and got inside.

Re: Time is the Price
Zorlo rubbed the back of his head. Such misfortune. The first woman he'd been around in months and she was being so secretive. A pool of darkness formed and moved towards the door, but hesitated. "Yes, I understand your hesitation," the man said as he paused. The woman had, however, given him some useful information. That man's name was... Haayn, he imagined he'd heard. Zorlo adjusted his glasses and removed his jacket, setting his sword down with his jacket atop it and sitting on a couch. "WEll, that first event is done. Now then, why don't you tell me exactly what you've encountered during your two tours of duty as an angel slayer. The most valuable thing in life is information, and I'm going to keep collecting it until I can adequately fight these creatures without thinking about it," the man said as he adjusted his glasses, from the pool of darkness his journal and a hand holding a pen appearing to write down his observations from this man's statements.
