"alright then" muttered Ashley as she hopped on the horse, she then slung her bayonet on tightly as to not drop it.

"Nice to meet you, Avanzi," she said kindly to the horse even as it snapped at him. Aria could help but smile as she mounted the Horse. Unlike most people she was around, Aria actually like animals and was kind to them. It's how she always was. "I guess you really aren't gonna take it easy on me, huh?" She rubbed the Gray's neck. "Don't be too hard on me. I don't know much," she whispered to the Horse as Raynard mounted behind her. She really wasn't liking this set-up, but she bore with it. After all, Raynard didn't seem like the guy that would pull one of her guns to try something.

Avanzi was not making life easy for Aria. He turned in the wrong direction or when she didn't want him to, started off fast or walked sideways when she tried to get him to speed up. Reynardine didn't seem the least bit perturbed nor moved at all by Avanzi's rebellions and simply left his hands resting upon his knees even when Avanzi bucked, throwing Aria back and forth in the saddle, his only reaction was to turn his head to the side, avoiding a smack to the face. In fact he seemed to know exactly when Avanzi was about to do something. "He hasn't made a serious effort to throw you, yet. I think he likes you." Renard said once they'd gotten a little ways out of town. If the others were observant they may have noticed Reynardine periodically pressing his heels into Avanzi's sides, giving him directions that conflicted with Aria's. "Since you're doing so well, when we get out of sight of the town I think I shall take a nap."

Zachary's horse took very little to get it moving. Still, due to the formation they needed to be in, Zachary had taken the center, to make sure that he could be seen like everyone. Much like Laz, he could feel their distrust. Still, that didn't mean anything. Not if he did his job and did it well.

Meanwhile, Zorlo was using some rather crude tactics to keep Laz's horse moving in the front. He had attached a long strap that he used to lightly whip the horse to keep it moving forwards. "WE've got about a day's ride. We'll stop off at the inn that's halfway between here and there!" Zorlo yelled back. "Is that okay, Captain Close?" he asked, trying to see what their leader wanted to do.

Laz muttered something under his breath before taking off, “Trust a thief, it’ll catch up with you.” He sighed as Zorlo continuously whipped his horse, “Hit the horse one more time! Go ahead, hit it and I’m gone! No Sea Train, no help, no nothing!” Laz said as he petted the horse’s mane, “I say we travel through the night. I’m not sleeping an inn with a hell load of strangers.”

"Yeah, staying the night will be good. The horses will need the rest. And Zorlo, stop whipping the horse. If he falls behind, whip Laz instead. And Laz, I challenge you to name one occasion when you stayed at an inn inhabited entirely by people you knew and trusted." He wrapped his arms around Aria's waist and rested his head on her left shoulder blade. "I'm going to take a nap. As probably the most lethal person here, you're in charge until I wake up Aria. Use force judiciously."

Raynard could feel her stiffen up at his touch, though she forced herself to relax so as to not convey the wrong things to Avanzi. She'd been rather intent on controlling him through the conflicting commands that Reynard had startled her. She merely looked back at him and sighed. What, is he TRYING to make me jump and get thrown...? she thought to herself as they continued. Huh... He's not resisting as much anymore. That's- "That bastard..." she whispered, realizing that some, though not all, her horse problems had been Reynard. She wasn't sure exactly how he did it, but she knew he did it. Still, that could wait for another time. "I agree with the Old Man. If there's no need to hurry yet, we should keep ourselves rested, just in case. And you really should whip Laz rather then the horse, Zorlo. After all, the Horse isn't at fault here, right?"

Zorlo laughed. "You are quite correct, miss, but still. Humans don't take well to being whipped. ANyway, Laz, the general idea seems to be that we're stopping. IF you don't like it... well, too bad. Democracy is law in this case," Zorlo said with a laugh.

Zachary sighed. This trip was going to be a very long one. STill, a rumbling of the ground told the bandit that something was coming. "We've got company," he stated as large, bull-like creatures came stampeding down the barrens. "Looks like something's spooked the bulls. We should be careful not to get gored. WE might want to pull off until they're done!" Zachary yelled to everyone, not exactly sure what may be going on.

Behind the pack of bulls were a handful of goblins, the worg they riding attacking at the bulls. They were harvesting food, but the hungered worg had attacked more violently than the goblins had anticipated.

((What? Does no one care to post or something?))

Great... this is just what I need right now... Aria thought to herself as she rubbed the Gray's neck almost automatically while watching the bulls come stampeding in their general direction. It looked as though the herd would miss them unless something turned them towards the group. Either way, what had really caught her eye was the Worg that chased after the Bulls and the Goblins that rode it. "...is that a freakin Worg...?" she asked no one in particular as she checked her Bolverk's magazines to double check the number of shots she had on hand before her next reload.

Zorlo smiled as he twisted the handle of his rifle as he removed it and swung the handle to the side. "You all keep moving, I'll keep the wild animals busy," Zorlo said as he dropped back as a green blade of energy erupted from the handle of his sword.

Zachary looked at Zorlo and sighed. "Well, he's dead. Let's keep going," Zachary said as he started to speed up his horse. "No time to mourn. KEep going!"

((Dunno. Maybe they forgot they were a part of this?))
Reynardine's eyes flicked open at Zachary's comment. 'No." His hands were on his rifle instantly. "I am not losing anyone under my command again, if I can help it. If you want that protection too, Zachary, you will change your attitude. Avanzi!" The horse took off at a gallop after Zorlo, whether Aria wanted him to or not. Plus he has the extra horse tied to his and Ms. Cannon does not enjoy me using her as a pillow. "When we get close, I'll jump horses." Renard pulled his legs up and crouched on the big grey's hind quarters.

Zorlo heard the thunderous claps of other horses moving in behind him. It was in that moment he realized he had the extra horse attached to his horse and sighed. "I can't believe I forgot about that..." Zorlo said as he circled around the stampede and slashed his sword at one of the worg's, throwing it off enough that it started chasing him. The first goblin cried out a shriek when the sword missed him, and that shriek drew other goblins and their worg after Zorlo. "Excellent," the green haired man muttered as he shifted slightly and watched as the goblins' approached. "So many on one is tough odds... even for me," Zorlo stated with a sigh.

Zachary looked at Ashley and then sighed. "Fine, we'll go help," he told her, even though she hadn't said anything to him up until that moment on the subject. Zachary's horse spun around and he moved towards the battle and away from the stampede. AT least what had been a stampede anyway.

Though it startled Aria to have Avanzi suddenly take off at his verbal command, by the time he was ready to jump Horses, Aria had already drawn one of her Bolverk pistols. "It's fine. I'll manage without you for a bit, Old Man," Aria replied to him as she lined up and fired several times on a passing Worg, the bullets forming a bloody line from eye to spine on the now dead Worg that tumbled and threw it's riding Goblins, who also acquired large, gaping bullet holes in them mid-flight. At least she was through. "If nothing else, I'm good at staying alive in a fight."

Reynardine's shots broke the strides of several worgs and as he jumped horses he let his rifle hang by it's strap and drew his saber, cutting his horse free, along with the retort of his revolver too. Close shot down the worgs directly in Zorlo's path and slashed the legs out from the ones in his own while they passed. It took more effort than he was used to to bring the horse back around and lost more speed than he cared to. I'll deal with you later. He commanded, "You were not ordered to commit suicide via goblins, private. You will give me fifty and you will not do anything like that without my direct orders again. Am I uderstood?"

Zorlo laughed and nodded. "Yes, sir!" Zorlo said as he cut down another Goblin and spun his horse around as he noticed other goblins rushing out from behind some rocks. "More of them... I guess those ones we gutted were simply scouts on their hunt for food," Zorlo stated calmly. "What are your orders, commander... captain... whatever your rank was," Z said, chuckling slightly as his horse continued to move calmly. So many, and yet they weren't as threatening as Z had assumed they would be... or were they?

Zachary's horse had moved back into place near the others as a spray of bullets cut into the ground in front of the newly arrived goblins, cutting their movements off and forcing them to break their formation for a moment. "Okay, okay, we've got this," he whispered to himself, not really sure what had compelled him to rush forwards.
