There are actually a few jobs out there that make "college educated" size payrolls.
Airplane washing makes $22 an hour.
Plumbing (my current field) starts at $10/h, moves to $25/h after you get 6000 hours and finish your Journeyman's test, and about 2 years after you complete that you can take the Masters test, get anywhere from $35/h to $60/h and you can start your own company. Everything was on the job training because, since its considered skilled work, practical experience is more important.
Auto Mechanics really just have to pass a certification test, you can learn the whole job from a book and a little experience working on your own car.
And these are all jobs that will be around for a LONG time. And honestly, I dunno why people are putting themselves in debt for college with the economy the way it is and the employment rate being so low.
