Bump..I've been lurking to the website just now..goes to Link//psp section and this was a trending topic (whatever it calls )
Read the spoiler ang booya .. anyway.. what kuukai said is true I just don't have a time to do it(On that day), but this past few weeks I just need to entertain myself a bit(doing stuff like that)..I don't have a plan also to tackle the story mainly because i do want it to be a quality translation, I know I'm not good in that, but kuukai can..
On my side(the patch) I do have friends who knows how to translate/speak japanese, so they are the one who is translating most of the text , my job is to only put it in-game.
I can assure that it is not a quality translation, but if the team(kuukai and JunBansyoya ) need some helping hands(Importing text), then I'm willing to do so

-btw the part 1 video goes only until 40minutes dunno why , maybe my IP or my browser, I suggest if you must you can upload it in any common filehost put it in chunks.

Hmm, not sure about any video problems. It even works on my phone...

But I'm glad you've done this, a lot of people are excited about it so just like the video and the story patch it's another piece of the puzzle. At the same time we might still want to craft our own translations for some of the game text, since even there there's a lot to be perfectionist about (phrasing things the same way as in .hack or G.U.)

Jun's actually working on automating the text import part so that all we'll have to do is translate and it will go straight into the patch, which will basically boil the bulk of the ongoing work down to just translators. For anyone curious what our current workflow (someone correct me if I'm wrong) is:
-Zer0's going to finish up the video sometime in the next couple days or so.
-Jun is aiming to finish the patcher by sometime in September.
-Keii and I will be hammering away after that, and the first installment of the patch will come out in October. We'll probably learn a lot about the process from that, and I'm not sure what a reasonable goal for Mirage Mutation is... Maybe the day the movie comes out? As for what the content will be... we might figure that out after this release.

If you know any good translators who want to help with the story feel free to recommend them. We're kinda strict about standards but I'd love to see the team expand.

as I've said, its only a temporary patch for hack players, on which they can explore/play the game even though the story is still out of it..
its just for fun for the moment(yeah let's call it that way).. okay I'll try to ask them, but as you said on your standards they doesn't suit that very much lol..they only knew a few jap language i guess, because some of the "kanji" aren't translated.. but okay .. as you say so

Well kenma9123 i really enjoy this patch. really thank you for this.
i'm really looking forward to the finalized version of it if you want to.
i really appreciate what you guy's do and hopefully the time you take will be well worth it.

But for some weird reason i really like all skills;items in Japanese i could memorize what skill does what.
its because I'm used to playing Japanese games on the psp;ds and anime.-( Still can't understand the language or writing but i'm still enjoying the game) Really im replaying up to .hack//link up to Geist boss he's hard because teleporting and i'm low-level;rank 1-seeing if i could beat it again.

My question is did Kuukai and JunBansyoya release theirs (cause I'm gonna wait for that) or did you guys make the video only?

Are you all going to release a text file of just the script when you finish the patch? I would love that because I am in no way altering my psp to play patched games and I cant find good emulators. I dont mind reading off a page when the scenes and text boxes come up.

I would love to do that.. but the mods there are to strict regarding to outside links.
They will automatically edit/remove it once posted.

That's perfect. I think Jun's grand vision, which he can confirm, is for us to do our thing and then for everyone else to come in and translate it into Russian or Spanish or Parody Mode. A text adaptation is a good idea. If someone wants to make a better movie that's also cool.

More people, besides english speaking audiences, would love to play the game too.I never even thought about that when I asked about a text file. A text script is the best base for an additional language translation.
