story loosely based on Rusty hearts:....vampires blood thirsty creatures that prowl the night they stalk and hunt their prey and drain the blood of their victims causing one of 2 changes the victim shall change into a vampire it self or the victim shall become a mindless slave to the vampires and they change their body changed into a more demonic look they almost become pure monsters but what can we do we used to be able to stand a fighting chance against these monsters the one thing the humans had that the vampires didnt was...the sun it was our only slight glimmer of hope against these monsters but their lord Vlad dracule has found a way to purge the world into a endless night we live in a world where the sun never rises we live in a world purged by darkness we can only hope and prayer and finally one day a man named Kyria Ardelia appeared he was the first human recorded in history to fight a vampire while the moon was at it's fullest and come out a victor the man had slain a vampire a human it was quite the sight to behold that man was our light of hope humans can finally start to believe in hope that we can win this war soon after the man had created the hunters guild...the guild was forged to fight the vampire threat the Guild was made up of certain individuals who have been trained to fight against them human,witch,and werewolf alike they all banded together to fight this menance the guilds goal is the eradication of Vlad the impaler the king of the vampires the guild hopes that if they destroy the king then the vampires shall be eradicated people from all over have traveled and joined the guild some fight to protects others others fight for revenge,some even fight for personal gain these members are known as vampire hunters who's sole goal the eradication of Vlad dracule and the protection of the human race....though i only hope....can we really survive.... can humans survive in this endless world of night filled with beings creatures of the night vampires werewolfs witches demons alike Vlads power is growin to the point the vampires...arent going to be the only ones we'll have to worry about

bio: a man who's past is filled with turmoil and suffering Raven joined the Vampire hunters a few years back his entire Persona is shrouded in mystery the fact that he himself is a vampire is kept secret from the others only those of the highest brass know of Raven's secret Raven was born a twin with his brother Crow for some unknown reason Raven completelly despises his brother and swears to one day End his existence Raven was banished from the kingdom of the knight about 2 years before he met frantz Raven and crow was bit by none other than vlad himself and as such Crow and raven was revered as the prince's of the kingdom Raven however had no intrest in the title and Raven was able to hold onto his sanity while his brother crow Succumbed to the urges and became a full fledged vampire and despite Ravens more wild appearance ironically he is the brother who sided with the humans and went against the vampires...his cover story is that he was cursed by a witch so to explain his demonic arm he doesnt like getting close to people and he trys not to get too attached to any of the fellow hunters his heart has been closed off to others due to a certain event of his past Raven is an alias he assumed to create a cover

Bio: Theodora is Vlad's Fiance. She was born to serve him and turned early on to be married to him without any problems at the age of twenty. She began to protect herself early on from any hunter attacks or jealous family members. As a result, she had no real liking for humans and only sees Vlad as the proper man in the world.

Bio: Some vampires have the ability to manipulate and control people's minds and while this frightens most people Xander considers it a minor parlor trick and has destroyed the minds of those who have tried to do that to him. The hunter's picked him up when he was still a child and began training him to become a member of Internal Affairs the hunters who inquire into those who try to join or have just come back from high risk missions and determine if they are allies or if they have been turned by the vampires. He quickly outstripped his teachers, witches capable of mental magic mostly. He has no particular ambitions at the moment and rarely goes on field operations so he is not a particularly high ranking hunter outside of IA, but he does know of Raven's secret and has in fact been instrumental in keeping it on several occasions erasing or modifying the memories of other hunters. Due to his abilities very few people outside of the top brass can put his name to his face.

Bio: Melanie was the butler of a wealthy aristocrat long ago who had the unfortunate luck of getting attacked by a renegade weretiger, his mistress had been the target of the attack but Melanie was in the way. Being a dutiful butler he had silverware on his person on the off chance his mistress should have need of it. He defended himself from the beast and his mistress had him go have himself checked out by a doctor, unfortunately on his way to the doctor a vampire was drawn to the blood on him and thus attacked him. Unfortunately for the vampire, it was a full moon that night and when he saw Melanie change into his weretiger form he thought he had just gained a willing slave. Instead he got himself a ball of furr and fury that ripped him apart.

Melanie awoke the following morning and went to his mistress's house, pleasantly surprised that his injuries seemed to have healed overnight and confused as to why he awoke naked and in an alleyway. The bright light of the sun was painful, but not lethal to him as it was to other vampires. His mistress was a little more distressed and thought her butler had become possessed by a demon and called a priest to try and exorcise him and followed that with a number of witch trials. Melanie was a dutiful servant and so he went along with the tests, regardless of the fact that he assumed he would die. But he survived each of the tests and when they tried to burn him at the stake he reflexively transformed and fled. Since then he's learned about his unique state. He can withstand sunlight, and he can subsist off of regular food, his diet consists mostly of fresh red meat, although he does get the urge to drink blood. When he does drink blood he can gain knowledge from it but he can't turn people one way or another, so unless he completely drains them they suffer no ill effects beyond the usual. Like a vampire Melanie does not age, he does however carry most of the weaknesses of a lycanthrope because it had established dominance when the vampirism was introduced.

After a decade of surviving he went into a self imposed exile, trying to starve himself to death, in a vast desert. He found a nice sunny rock and sat there to await the end. His plan didn't work though, and he awoke from a state of hibernation, extremely hungry, recently.

Weapons: Spells, if the enemy is in too close and there isnt time to cast a spell Zellos will hit the enemy with his magic tome hopefully buying some time.
Abilities: Confine- Any organism that isn't human is pinned to the ground for a few seconds.
Purifying Blades- Multiple swords made of light are summoned from Zellos' fingertips and launch at the targeted enemy.
Eternal Suffering- A demon hand is summoned from a magic circle grabbing anything near it and dragging it to hell.
Holy Seal- A mark is placed on an evil being, supressing some of it's power temporarily.
Dark Barrier- A force field that draws energy from dead souls protects whatever it surrounds.
Regeneration- Minor wounds pull together quickly, more serious wounds only have the bleeding stopped or slowed.

Bio: The tome he carries was rumored to be an artifact that bonded heaven and hell. His family was intrusted with it in hopes it would cure a plague that had struck the village they lived in. Zellos survived the illness, his family however did not have the same luck and almost all of them died off. Only two people survived in the entire village including Zellos. Only a week after, some of Vlad's subjects came to claim the tome for their master. Zellos already knew how to throw a few spells around and after the attack Zellos burned his village to the ground to put the past behind him, and also in hopes of destroying the cause of the plague. Now Zellos fights simply for the survival and prosperity of humanity.

Raven: { he jumps up to find himself in the debriefing room of the hq}

woman: you'd think for once you'd pay attention....well any way vincent from the research department wants to speak with you he says it has to do with a request of his you think you can handle it?

Raven: sure elma sounds easy enough..why not

Elma: allright than you may go when ready....

Raven: { he gets up as he walks out of her office} I'll take care of it captain don't worry { he looks around at the guild}....i suppose i should get this over with { he scratches his head}

voice: what is it

????: I have come to report my findings

Voice: ahhhh crow come on in

Crow: yes master { he walks into the room} sorry for the intrusion master Vlad

Vlad: it's no problem i was just lying down { he sits up in his bed} took a quick power nap as humans would call it what do you have to report Crow

Crow: well lord it has to do with my brother

Vlad: oh?....{ he gains a sad look in his eye} and to think i've nearly forgotten about him

Crow: we have found his location he was last scene in the city of the hunters....it seems as though he's a hunter now

Vlad:....I see

Crow: though in other news our recon has found a stand along village if you wish we could-

Vlad: do as you please crow.though do not act against "him" not yet anyway......and please while were alone you can call me father after all we are family { he gives a smile towards crow though it seems cold and empty}

Crow: yes....Father { he leaves the room}

Zellos was in the canals below the city, many undead skeletons surrounding him "Weak monsters, why was i asked to take care of this?" Zellos summons swords of light and launches them rapidly destroying the skeletons in his path. Before much longer, another group of skeletons climb their way out of the ground, completely surrounding Zellos in greater numbers than before. "I guess you're eager to die... again." As they close in and lift their weapons above them a light shines up from the ground and all the skeletons become pinned against the floor, then circles form around each of the skeletons. Out of each circle a black claw the size of a fully grown human appears, each skeleton is pulled into a dark portal by a claw. "That should be all of them, its kind of embarrassing to do a childes work." Zellos walks away from the battleground beginning his path back to the city

Raven: { he leaves the guild and heads towards the research department building}

Vincent: ahhh raven! { he walks over towards him} so your the one who came huh well... I just have a simple request of you it has to do with Curtis castle...I'm sure you'd be interested

Raven: but curtis castle....

Vincent: yeah its within vlads territory i mean its an order from internal affairs they want us to gain control of the castle i guess that have some sort of plan for it....but thats not my request...i want you to go to the canals...and i just want you to investigate recon says that their may be a secret path that leads from the canals to the inside of curtis castle

Raven: so you just want me to check to see if this rumor is really true?

Vincent: percisely you up for it?

Raven:...sure why not....i'll be done quickly I'll report back my findings { he leaves the research building as he heads back to the guild}

Xander flipped up and over the werewolf's reach and threw knives at two of the three remaining witches keeping his telepathy on lockdown. He drew another pair of knives and parried the claws, the force sent him skidding backwards. His enemy realized his mistake almost immediately as Xander overwhelmed the witch with a psychic blast the werewolf barreled at Xander in a desperate bid to end it and found himself running headlong into a wall. "Enough, thank you for your assistance." Said Xander as he pulled on his coat and placed the wooden practice daggers back on their rack.

Xander flipped through a file while he walked. Canals, curtis castle, field work, that's an interesting change. He closed his eyes for a few seconds with his hand on a door, Ah, there you are Raven, looks like Vincent's found you already. I guess you're the reason I've been given this assignment. He memorized the file and set it on fire before catching up with Raven.

Raven: { he looks over towards Xander}....so IA intends to keep tabs on me still huh?... allright than if you want you can tag along if you wish { he walks into the guild with Xander and tells the woman at the front desk about the canals mission as he picks up his sword from the blacksmith as they head towards the canals}... allright than...lets go than.so does IA still not trust me?..

"So they've found him." A woman wearing a simple red and black dress spoke. Her hair was ash colored, as if she were far too old. "What does Master Vlad say?"

"That we're not to mess with him yet." She turned around, facing the servant that was talking. While he was bowed she examined his status. "Is there anything else that you wish of me, Miss Theodora?"

"No. If Master Vlad wishes to see me he'll let me know."

The vampires in front of a red haired woman had fallen down. Their bodies were full of bullet holes. She turned around and began her travel back to the guild.

Zellos was almost back to the Entrance to the canals but something convinced him to look back, as he turned he saw that more skeletons were pulling themselves out of the ground "Dammit! I'm guessing that this is why I was sent here. No matter... Send however many you want, I'll come out on top." Zellos shot multiple swords of light but for every skeleton he took down it seemed that four more appeared, they began to close in on him. "Enough of this, just stay down." Zellos pinned about a third of the skeletons down with confine and dragged them to hell with eternal suffering, he figured something was deeper in the canals summoning the skeletons. Zellos summons one giant purifying blade and fires it opening a narrow path through the attacking skeletons, he darts through it traveling deeper into the canals.

Vlad: { he scratches his head as he looks out the window towards the moon}.....*so your still alive after all this time*...{ he grabs a heavy cloak as he throws it on}....

Crow: Father are you going out?

Vlad: yes

Crow: would you like mistress theodora to know

Vlad: if you wish to tell her I guess maybe i'll ask to see if she wants to come along...

Crow: where are you off too

Vlad:..{ he turns around his pupils are slits and their blood red} I'm just a little bit hungry....don't you worry I'll return within the hour I need to discuss with the others about him

Crow: yes..... than I shall let my fathers fiance know { he knocks on theodora's chambers} exscuse me miss theodora...the master wishes to know if you would like to accompany him it appears he wishes to go hunting for his food

Unlike most Raven actually was a special case, but not so special that this was anything more than a regular assignment. "We keep tabs on everyone. If we trusted anyone we wouldn't be doing or jobs, now would we?" Xander sighed, "If it makes you feel any better I get investigated by a full team about once a week. Is there anything you want to go ahead and admit to so I can get back to my mountain of paperwork and comfy chair?"

Raven: nothing really in particular....oh your the agent who directly handled my case when i first joined up so you must know everything...wait there is one thing ...I'm going to beat the **** out of Vlad...you can add that to my file...{they enter the canals and immediatlly notice it is flooded with skeleton warriors} damn...I didnt think we'd have to fight this early { he readies his sword and his claw} well than lets cut through these things * to think vlad has the power of dominion over the dead* { he runs towards a skeleton soldier as he cuts it down to size with his blade and he slashes through a second one with his claw} RAH! { he continues this assault} what the hell has got these guys so angry! { he kicks a skeleton knocking it into the others} ragh! { his claw slashes through a skeleton warrior as he jumps back towards xander} damn atleast their arent as many as their usually are...what do you say { he looks towards xander} wanna finish them off now?

"Yeah I was, good memory. And that's just redundant, very redundant actually. It's in there at least a dozen times already." A glowing blue soulknife appeared in Xander's hand and he followed in Raven's wake, offing the odd skeleton he missed. Zellos was supposed to have dealt with these already. He sent a telepathic message to his assistant to have someone make sure no skeletons managed to escape the canals or cause any damage to the guild.

"Raven, Zellos should be down here so don't go killing him accidentally. I don't want to write that in my report."

Raven: { he blocks an oncoming attack} oh come on i'm not that careless I can atleast tell apart a regular human from a bag of bones...umm zellos has flesh ......right? hes not one the undead hunters? { he counters and with his super human strengthn slashes through a row of skeltons with his sword}...besides if i killed a hunter...I think that would mean the end of me as well...{ he stabs his blade as he dashes through a line of skeltons}...though look at the bright side theirs atleast atless than usual so { he looks towards xander} wanna finish them off?

There is no end to these things... Zellos slammed his tome into the skull of a skeleton forcing it back, once again the demon hand appears and drags it down Zellos continues on, although out of breath he continues fighting through the horde of skeletons finally at the end of the canal, a blood red skeleton stands. "There it is... that has to be whats attracting these things... looks tougher though this could be a worthy mission after all." Zellos evaded a few attacks and fired a purifying sword at the blood red skeleton, but it was deflected. "Interesting, can you stop this?" A demon hand reaches out for the red skeleton but is easily evaded and the hand drags a regular skeleton warrior down. "Well then... this will be interesting." Skeletons swarmed Zellos and the blood red skeleton pushed through and thrusted it's rusty gladius at Zellos, but just in time Zellos put up a dark barrier "****, there's too many of them."

Xander shrugged, "I'm an investigator, not an exterminator. Have fun with them. And yeah, I think he's fleshy, although my report was missing a photo. He should have some magic book with him." Xander picked up on Zellos's distressed thoughts and sighed. "Then again, maybe I should do something. You take these, I'll help Zellos." Xander made a fist with his off hand, raised it, and then slammed downwards. The skeletons surrounding Zellos all stopped, began levitating several feet in the air, and smashed back down with crushing force.

"Ah, I see that you're doing well, Crow." She put a gentle hand towards his shoulder, smiling. "Thank you for letting me know. If you need anything, please let me know." She kissed his forehead, moving back after a moment. "I would like to accompany him when he is ready."

The red haired woman arrived at the guild, surprised at the lack of some key members. "Mary?" She looked towards an older woman. "Did you take care of the vampires?" She nodded, handing the evidence of ash she collected. "Right now there's a mission concerning the castle. You can stay behind, since everyone of importance should be back soon."
