Senki Senkan Aegis Light: Chapter I (TK's story corner)
Creating stories is something of a hobby of mine, and I'd like to share with you the interesting bit that I've been putting together. I was searching through the old parts of the creative writing forum and was interested to note that one of my previous non-RP stories was still roaming around, not yet dropped off the face of the archive. I decided against reviving the story as I don't quite know whether people will still read it or not. So (for now) this will be a simple story I will be writing from time to time. If I double-post, it's simply because nobody has posted in it and I'm continuing the story without letting it die. So I apologize in advance for that. So without further ado, here I go...
The premise is during a time known at DT (Diverting Timeline) 105. The space colonies that exist within the orbit of Jupiter Space have declared a state of war over materials and supplies routes to their area, and their demands are to run an accelerated and stocked at a higher rate than the rest of space. They declared their movement the RFCA (Republic For Colonial Advancement). This move alarmed the inner space colonies, who had formed the FSCA (Front Space Colony Alliance) to combat the threat. Previous to this, a treaty had been put in place to supply all space colonies with equal supplies to ensure that all people were happy. This treaty, called the Space Equality Act, had been the sole reason of the Jupiter Space revolt, as their claims were that their own supplies would run dry far faster than the logistics routes would take to get their to resupply them with materials from the inner colonies. Creating an alliance with the Venus Side Space, convincing them that the supply routes needed to be increased on their side due to the magnetic storms and other dangers caused a delay in their own logisitics, the RFCA had the FSCA in a vicegrip. The Earth Federation, normally having no part in the quarrels of space, decided that action needed to be taken, thanks to the preconception that the RFCA would want more than their own demands stated, and that the Earth would be the next target after the FSCA colonies had been taken. The EF sends their most elite force, the Heaven Strike Team of the Earth Federation Elite Corps to remedy this threat. Sent out on what seemed to be a suicide mission from the start, their mission: To breach the Earth blockade and link up with the PSBS Rolrikker, and punch through the Jupiter Fleet's main force, cutting their heads off in a quick fashion. This, according to the Earth Federation, would eliminate all threats and destroy the RFCA movement at its core. This would also allow the main FSCA fleet to concentrate on the closer threat of Venus. This is the story of the Heaven Strike Team, and their attempt to end an entire war as a four man combat team and their mechanic.
The Heaven Strike Team
HS-01: MAJ Markus Ivanac --- Unit: RFX-001 Speedbreaker Special
HS-02: LT Vencer Deinbeck --- Unit: Gunzile
HS-03: CPO Sanjuro Vanius Sweiss Minamoto --- Unit: TRF-1 RenSatsu
HS-04: LTJG Leo Lanini --- Unit: RF-02LC Handler II Lanini Custom
HS-05: ENS Henry Lao --- Mechanic
Markus Ivanac: A seasoned war veteran whom was hailed as a war hero along with his commander Major Dalton Gavem (currently MIA), and Segeant Major Ito Minamoto. These three, the original Heaven Strike Team, were known as the "Immortal Three" during the Intraspace Civil War, a war that broke out on Earth some 10 years ago. This, previously called World War III before the war was brought to a close thanks in large part to these three heroes. Markus went to take on the mantle of commander of the team after Gavem went missing about 2 years ago and Ito was killed by a brutal gang of unknown assailants. Getting the order to punch through the Jupiter Space line brought Markus to question how the RFCA could've surmounted such a huge offensive without a genius commander. He has his ideas, but nothing to base them on. So without any other questions, he brought together the next generation of HS elites and now leads them into battle as a hero once again.
Vencer Dynebeck: A worldwide celebrity sensation who seemed to gain a huge head of steam overnight as an icon for just about everything. Seen almost everywhere, he has a huge gathering of sponsors and titles from all over the world. Even his clothing and mech have sponsor tags on them. Pretty much a slave to mass-media, he decided to join the military during the space invasion by the RFCA to prove something to himself. Idolizing the war hero Dalton Gavem as a child, he build a robot on his own based off designs from the oldest of war machines, the Warfighter. A tag emblazoned super robot was born of his own design; the Gunzile. Now out to prove that he's more than just a movie star, commercial face, and model, but a compitant man and a successful warrior. Has a problem when people don't know who he is.
Sanjuro Vanius Sweiss Minamoto: Born of a class of warriors and engineers alike, he is a stoic, strong fighter than wishes to be like his father, Ito Minamoto. His father was killed when he was just a boy, in front of him when a group of unknown assailants attacked his family. Ito had managed to fend off a huge amount of them when he was struck from behind. His father, mother, and sister killed, he obtained his first human kill on that day. Now plagued by an inferiority complex to his father and blaming himself for his own family's deaths, he just fights as a means to escape his nightmares and prove to his family that he is indeed a warrior worth noting. His family had lost their honour on that day, and the only thing left of respect to his family were the designs of Sweiswitte, his mother's R&D company that had a large hand in designing the Refined Warfighter. He flies a custom RF-02 Handler II that can transform into a jet, an homage to his father's fighting style.
Leo Lanini: A pompus rich pretty boy that loves nothing other than to get attention. He is the son of powerful politians, and is not afraid to use that influence wherever and whenever possible. He considers everything a game, and flirts with everything that moves. Not much more than a pretty face to most, he is actually a competant pilot in his own right. The truth about his past is shrouded in darkness, as he is actually an orphan who was adopted by the Lanini family. Unbenownced to him, on the political side of the fence, the Lanini family is under fire due to underhanded deals and dark ally maneuvers, and the opposition would love nothing more than to see them fall. If Leo were to make a mistake, these people would have the ammunition to destroy the family once and for all. Unless they decided to destroy the ties that bind Leo to the family....
Henry Lao: A young boy that is illegally in the military due to shady deals and a pact with Leo Lanini. They are under the guise of a couple, and Leo allowed paperwork to be forged to get Henry into the military so he can do what he loves most; play with robots. An extremely skilled mechanic and a genius with military hardware, he can make and fix almost anything. Not one to engage in combat, he hates fighting and wants nothing more than to end the war as soon as possible. His grandfather once told him that technology is one of the great evils of the world, and he wants to prove that technology can be used for good ends. Not a fighter, although he rides with Leo and provides on the spot combat data and communications, along with assisting with sensors and other non-combat functions.

Re: Senki Senkan Aegis Light: The Prolouge (TK's story corner)
These are the main characters in the story then? Well, the ones that will probably develop as far as I can see. There's a lot of promise in writing it.

Re: Senki Senkan Aegis Light: The Prolouge (TK's story corner)
These are the main heroes of the story, and they all have real people behind them. I wanted to depict their story as I had envisioned it originally. The true story has plenty of influence, but I didn't write down any of the dialogue that was present at the time, so I'll have to make due with what I remember. Anyways, I hope everyone enjoys this that reads it.

Re: Senki Senkan Aegis Light: The Prolouge (TK's story corner)
((Once again forgive double posting in this topic, as I'm just writing a story))
Location: Earth's Atmosphere; EFEC Transport Carrier Shuttle
Markus was sitting inside the transport, awaiting the sortie alert, reading the mission info. He flipped through a few pages and let out a heavy sigh.
"I wonder if this is really possible. I can't help but think that this team is just..."
Just then, a loud crash is head from the rear of the shuttle. It was the sound of plates breaking from the meal that was just given out to the rest of the team. Amounts of bickering were heard from the same location.
"Ill equipped. At best." Markus finished his statement, letting out another long, heavy sigh. Getting out of his seat, he sauntered towards the rear of the shuttle.
"What the hell is going on here?!" he shouted at the top of his lungs, in standard military fashion.
The flight attendant was going crazy trying to clean up the mess that was just made. It seemed as though there was some kind of quarrel, although all of the pilots were sitting in their chairs, nonchalantly as though nothing had happened. Markus walked over to Vencer Deinbeck, who was sitting in the front of the rear compartment, relaxing with his feet up on the wall in front of him.
"Deinbeck, what the hell happened in here?" he asked calmly after releasing the tension he was feeling earlier.
"Nothing special, just a little accident is all. Plates got a little mixed up, and Leo raised a question about it, and there was a scuffle. No one was hurt though, so relax chief." Vencer responded coolly.
"It's Major, Deinbeck. Get your military bearing straight. I don't want to have to perform an investigation on something this early in the game." Markus responded with a gruff attitude. He then eyed Leo, who gave an expression like it was entirely everyone else's fault, and then began to address the team. "Alright men, I gave you the mission details before we departed, but I'll go over it again just to make it clear. The mission is as follows:
1. Deploy the units and defend the shuttle as it re-enters back into the atmosphere.
2. Assault the RFCA forces within the blockade
3. Find the weak point of the RFCA blockade and punch through it.
We'll be using a triangular assault pattern to punch a hole through. The Gunzile will take point, using it's large size as a shield for the rest of the team. Leo and Henry will use the grapple point atop the Gunzile to ride through the break and cover the team from above. Vanius and I will ride the wake of the Gunzile, and cover the operation from the rear. Is all of that clear?"
Leo had an exited expression on his face and responded with a chipper "Yep!" Henry and Vanius didn't say anything, with the exception of a grunt from Vanius confirming the order. With that, Markus gave the order to prepare for battle, and the team exited to the very rear of the shuttle to the unit bay.

Re: Senki Senkan Aegis Light: The Prolouge (TK's story corner)
The shuttle broke out of the atmosphere into the inner space ring where the Earth blockade was being fabricated. At the current moment it was little more than an outcropping of battleships and cruisers, with some eletrocurrent line that connected the blank spaces. At what some would consider the "top" of the blockade was a break in the line, where the team would punch through. This break was gaurded heavily by two Toranax class battleships facing slightly inward to give the crossfire effect without having to hit each other. The shuttle began taking fire immediately, and the team was given the order to launch.
"Alright boys, this is the moment you've been waiting for! Actual combat time. HS-01 Markus Ivanac launching!"
"HS-02, Vencer Deinbeck, rollin' out." Vencer gave his launch sequence with that cool lack of enthusiasm that was popular among his fans.
"HS-03... Vanius Sweiss... ikemasu!!" Stated with nothing more than what was needed, Vanius launched out quickly and on the battlefield before any of the other units.
"HS-04" "HS-05" "Leo Lanini" "Henry Lao" "heading out! The last line said in unison, the two launched out and headed into battle.
Once all of the Heaven Strike Team was out on the battlefield, Markus gave the order to move into abreast defensive formation and gaurd the shuttle. The formation was more or less made, but not the form that Markus had intended. He face-palmed, but at least the mission was getting done, and the shuttle had not sustained any damage. Vanius was mostly the one to blame as he set out into a more offensive stance and was chaining kills from unit to unit seamlessly.
"Vanius, get back over here and defend the shuttle!" Markus exclaimed with an authoritative tone in his voice, but Vanius didn't comply. Instead, he responed with a quick grunt followed by, "As long as the enemy can't get to it, then they can't hurt it..." and continued his assault.
Meanwhile, Leo was floating rather lazily, but still in formation. Pulling off a few potshots here and there, as he was a respectable marksman.
"Can't you take this seriously? Markus was rather upset about Leo's lacksidasical (spelling) attitude in battle.
"What, they're dying aren't they? This is too easy..." Leo retorted.
"But hey chief, relax. The mission's still gettin' completed. Just let us do our thing." Vencer came up on the comms to support his allies' rather insubordinate attitudes. "Just like me, I mean, how are ya gonna try to give tactical maneuvers to a super robot eh?"
Markus was extremely upset, but he knew that Vencer was right. Technically as the most elite unit the Earth Federation has to offer, they should be given a certain measure of freedom. However, this new group of soldiers were green as his lawn, and had never been in combat themselves. So, to that effect, he figured that they needed a little bit of guidance.
The front lines of the blockade was beginning thin thanks to Vanius' lightning assault style of combat, so the majority of the units covering the break had been destroyed or retreated. Next was the problem of the battleships. Without destroying at least one of them, they wouldn't be able to push through even with the massive size and armor of the Gunzile. So, Vencer made a quick calculation in his head and opened comms with Markus.
"Hey commander... Requesting permission to authorize firing of the EX Launcher. I think I can create a little bit bigger of an opening." Vencer asked cooly and calmly, as he was opt to do.
Markus pondered for a quick second and responded on comms. "Wait until the shuttle is clear and beginning re-entry. I think we can knock out two birds with one stone here."
"Roger that, chief. I'll just hold the line and block out the sun in Kenya for a little longer. I hope they're not too disappointed." Vencer responded with a quick one-liner, much like in his movies.
"Ugh, don't do that please. Your bad jokes will kill us all faster than the enemy will." Leo popped up on comms due to Vencer's terrible one-liner.
Vencer retorted immediately, as though he was being challenged. "Hey, I was just trying to keep the mood light."
"Shut up the both of you, I can't concentrate..." Vanius' gruff tone broke the center of their comm lines, effectively butting in on the quarrel.
"Fine, fine..." Vencer returned to focusing soley on defense for the time being. Leo went back to half paying attention while poking fun at Henry, who was being quiet this whole time. The shuttle began to arc into its re-entry procedures, and Markus quickly gave his orders to change the course of the mission.
"Vanius, pull back! Deinbeck is beginning his unlock sequence on the EX Launcher, and I don't want you getting caught in the washout!"
Vanius only responded with his trademark grunt and tranformed into jet mode, arcing his flight pattern as to not be in the sillouette of Vencer's Gunzile. Vencer's eyes flashed with hot-blooded fervor and he began unlocking sequence on the EX Launcher.
"Initiating EX Sequence, command line: Sugoi. Sequence unlocks" The bindings surrounding the shoulder pulled back, revealing two large apertatures. "Binding locks undone, sequence charging. Firing sequence initate in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1..." The aperatures opened, and yellow-white energy began charging in them. At 1, the energy had peaked and Vencer shouted into the attack voice-recognition sysytem. "EX LAUNCHAAA, FAIYAAAA!!!!"

Looks good so far! The story's pace is good, and the character development is steadily settling into place

Re: Senki Senkan Aegis Light: Chapter I (TK's story corner)
A massive yellow-white washout beam flooded forth from the Gunxile like a deluge broken from a melted glacier. The beam effectively anihillated the left side Toranax and its backup, leaving nothing more than a few scraps of scattered debris. Before the enemy could react, Vencer yelled into the voice recognizer, "Gaaannn-baaardo, Chaaaangge!" transforming the Gunxile into Gunbird mode, and began pushing forward into the gap left by the EX Launcher. Markus then gave the order to begin the breakout operation.
"Alright, everyone! Move out! Let's break this blockade!" Vanius arced in, blasting behind the Gunxile, ensuring he was just outside of the its massive flame wake left by the boosters. Markus activated the Speedbreaker's overboosters, landing atop the Rensatsu, riding it like a surfboard. Leo latched on to the Gunbird's top hook, and gripped on for dear life. "WAAAAAA!!!" He screamed out like a small child as they tore through space at breakneck speeds.
The team rushed into the gap amid a torrent of gunfire and lanzor blasts. The Gunbird was taking the majority of the damage, with Leo attempteing to take potshots at the enemies whenever the opportunity was available, although it was difficult at the speed the team was moving at.
"Good God fast!" Leo was screaming at the top of his lungs, while still attempting to keep hold of the Gunbird. The team blasted through the the gap in the blockade, the Gunbird shedding the scraps of armor remaining on its frame. As they cleared the gap, the Speedbreaker and Rensatsu spun around, Vanius changing his mech out of jet mode back into robot form, and covered the remainder of the escape with a hail of gunfire. Vencer took the opportunity to try to transform back into Gunzile form, but couldn't due to damage to the Gunzile's frame.
"Crap, and this is just what I was trying to avoid... Oh well, I'll have the mechanic work on the frame and rebuild the armor when we link up with whatever fleet we're supposed to be working with." Vencer just shrugged off the concept that his robot was entirely damaged.
"Is everyone doing good? We all up on status?" Markus began the procedures of the after action report as he and Vanius caught up to the others.
"Vanius Sweiss, all up." Vanius spoke without much inflection to his voice tone.
"I'm fine... but that was little... not normal." Leo's report was given woth obvious shaking in his voice, followed by an "I'm good." by Henry, who seemed to be unfazed at the maneuver the team had just pulled. "It's just a little speed shakes." Henry tried to explain to Leo what just happened, who just ignored him and didn't say anything further.
"Okay then if everyone is all ready, let's get moving to the moon, where we'll be meeting up with the PSBS Rolrikker, which will be our guide through space from thereon out." Markus was giving his next mission orders to the team when a distress signal came over the comms. It seemed to be coming from the moon. "Markus Ivanac, EFEC HS Team, state your emergency."
A distressed and angry voice came over the comms. "HEY! We're getting crushed here! We need some help getting rid of these RFCA a-holes at LDB-10. We've been doing good holding on to the base for a while, but now they've arrived in triplicate! Help us out here!"
Markus responded with the calm, collected manner of a rightful team commander. "Roger that LDB-10, we're on our way, ETA 30 minutes, can you hold out until then?"
"Yeah, we've been fighting this losers for months now, I think we've got it covered until ya get here." The voice on the comms seemed to have calmed down a bit, but still maintained that gruff, angry tone.
"You hear that guys? We've got another mission on our hands, let's pick up the pace!" Markus gave the order and began boosting towards the moon at full speed, without activating the overboosters just yet.
"Alright, everyone! Move out! Let's break this blockade!" Vanius arced in, blasting behind the Gunxile, ensuring he was just outside of the its massive flame wake left by the boosters. Re: Senki Senkan Aegis Light: Chapter I (TK's story corner)
The team assumed a wedge formation around Markus, whom once the team was in formation, activated his overboosters and sent himself careening towards the moon's surface. Vanius quickly followed suit and boosted ahead of his team leader and into the fray. The battlefield was littered with scrap from the battle, which was being kicked up periodically from battle surrounding the LDB-10. It was difficult to tell the separate forces apart at this point, due to the fact that both the FSCA and RFCA forces were utilizing mostly Handler IIs, although the RFCA were still employing the use of Handlers Is as well. The only way to differentiate the two were by paint scheme, which was still hard because of the similarities there as well. Vanius pulled onto his scanners the signal differentiation radar and began assaulting the closest RFCA signals that came up.
"Geez, the Gunxile is having some difficulties with the transformation sequence..." Vencer began attempting to reroute the power to complete transformation from Gunbird back to Gunxile mode.
"That would probably be because there's armor fragments lodged in the joint Dynebeck." Henry came up on the comms to gesture to Vencer that forcing the armor fragments out of the joints could be a bad thing.
"No problem, I can handle it... CHAAANGE GUNXILE ON!!!" The horrid scraping sound of mechanical parts contorting into the Gunxile form was dreadfully painful. Scraps of steel and titanium flew from the joints as sparks jumped across the frame. After a short pause, the Gunxile half-stood up into it's standard mode, although something seemed amiss.
"Uhh, I think something is wrong... Oh well, I can still fight like this." Another loud clanging sound and a large scrape across the central axis joint caused the Gunxile to buckle, and then it stood at full height, back to normal, although it's obvious lack of armor and marred frame made it look more like it was built by a junker on an old colony rather than a top of the line killing machine.
