"Were we so different when we were young? Besides Beaux tries too hard to keep his emotions in check. Admittedly, it seems like it might be dangerous if the bloodlust got hold of him. You do remember, don't you, a dragon's power relies a great deal on emotion similar to Kazuki's display just now. Beaux's been keeping his emotions under control for a very long time and for much of that it didn't matter, but now that he's truly the dragon prince...if his hand is forced it will become clear why he the other blues look up to him as the Lightning Emperor. It may take quite a bit to stop him then so let's just hope nothing terrible happens to Kazuki or Mizuki. And that he doesn't realize what the scarf's doing to him if he does."

"I told you I'd be counting on you Kazuki." said Beaux. "And I meant he'd need to be in his own body once again and at full power to even have a chance of killing you. I'll remember to be more direct in the future. Heh, I'll just ask myself, what would Kazuki do and do that." His laughter died after a couple seconds as Beaux glanced in Kale's direction. "When the time comes, stop me even if you have to kill me." With those somber words said, and accentuated by a sonic boom he disappeared, Kazuki was just barely able to catch the direction Beaux had disappeared off towards. Of course the trail of things flying up into the air from wind might've helped too.

Beaux stopped at a fountain of blood. "I wonder how much of this I contributed with that last fight." He remembered back to his first two victims, and how he had gotten a dark thrill out of it. Something he'd never felt from killing vampires before. I wonder if those spells I used in my training might have had something to do with this.

Kazuki: chi what ever I'm going for a run { he dissapears but it seems as if things are slown down as yu see kazuki cutting around the people in the crowd and by passing them with ease and he runs around for alittle while then stops when he bumps into a drunk}

Drunk: ohhhh hey there little guy your pretty fast arent you here you need a drink and relax like the rest of us

Kazuki: no thanks

Drunk: ohhh come on lighten up and relax its no big deal

Drunk: ohh thats right silly me well more for me then { he chugs a bottle} ahhh thats good now I got to find my team were facing off against some sort of new nder dog team in our first round we just finished our prelim match

A shadow appeared over Beaux causing him to look up and up and up until he saw the head of Rosco. A vampire who worked at Little Claire's bakery back in Valhalla. "Rosco? Wait, if you're here then." "YEP!" Little Claire, little Bucket Hat girl, jumped on Beaux from behind and nearly rung his neck. "Long time no see, old man." "We saw your fight, did those guys do something to piss you off?" Rosco said as he extricated Bucket Hat from Beaux.

"No, they were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Recent events have made me...temperamental." "Did Mizuki dump you or something?" "Claire!" "What? It's a fair question." Beaux shook his head. "If only it were that simple." "There Rosco, ya see? Now what seems to be the trouble?" "Claire, I've killed a lot of vampires, but those were the first two I truly enjoyed killing." "You did go a bit overboard, young dragon. You're clearly fast enough to have just shot them in the head the one time and been done with it." Claire looked up at Rosco with a screwed up face. "Don't go trying to make him feel bad, the old guy needs friends in troubled times. Not condemnation." Beaux smiled at being called young for once and then patted Claire's hat. "Don't worry about it Bucket Hat, I'll be fine. Kazuki knocked some sense into me. So, are you two just here for the tourney or are you reopening the shop?" "The bakery is always open, Rosco, my basket." Seemingly from nowhere the tall lanky man pulled a basket full of donuts from behind his back and held it out for Beaux to take one. "Excellent as always. Well, I'm done brooding. Do the two of you want to come meet everyone else?" "Sorry old man, we've got to get back to work. But we'll be cheering for you." "Yes, and betting on your team. So don't go losing. You owe us so that we can build a new shop and stop renting out an oven." Beaux stood back up and looked around. "Where the Darkness am I?" He started walking, figuring that eventually he'd come full circle again.

Seth was crying after the fight "they killed them all, not even one for me." Zakk laughs "You could have at least moved around during the batle instead you forgot it had started, moron." Seth walks away and up to the stands where massive people had gathered he walks up to where he could get a perfect view of the competition

Kale yawned, "I'm kind of tired too. Why don't we just leave it up to Zakk?"

Zakk laughs and walks over to kale "Great idea, it will still be easy but afterwards everyone's going to be scared of us and only tough people will Stay in the matches that wefight us. I bet it will be fun after our first match."

As Kale leaned back to take a nap Tasha sat down behind him and kicked him in the head. "Ow, what was that for?" Tasha shrugged and looked to the side. Kale rubbed the back of his head and blinked several times upon noticing the crimson streak in Tasha's raven hair. "Tasha, are you doing something with your hair?" "What are you talking about, Dr. Frankentein?" "Eh? Nothing never mind." She kicks him again. "Ouch, seriously. Why do you keep kicking me!?" "You can just heal from it, right? So why does it matter?" "That's hardly the poin-OW! Stop that!" Tasha smiled mischievously and leaned back yawning. "When does our match start? I'm boooooorrrrrred."

Why is everybody suddenly changing? The effects from Beaux's change are obvious enough, but what is going on with Tasha? She is by definition a fixed point. "Ah, Tasha, that crystal on your-" Boot the head. "Sorry, the power source we were discussing when I gave you your new outfit. Is it still there?" Tasha glares at him. "I'm not checking just because your a dirty old man." "Eh!? Tasha! I'm just curious. I sense a change in you, I thought that might have been it." She glares at him a moment longer then looks down her shirt and then kicks him in the head. "Can't believe you actually got me to do that." "No change at all?" "Well, it might be a little. What do you think's going on?" "I have no idea, but you should check your hair out next time you're near a mirror. There's a streak of red going down the middle now." "What are you talking about?" "There's always been one." "Eh? But wasn't your hair always black?" "No, there's a red streak down the middle. A black one on the far left. Between the two is a blue one. and on the opposite side there's a green and on the far right there's a white one." "But all I see is black hair with a streak of red down the middle. Kyo, do you see the others? Or am I just going crazy?"

Zakk places his fists into his pockets with an evil grin on his face "or is it one small team of overconfident kids who shall learn their place?" Zakk mumbles out some haha's and words that would bring a proud warrior to shame and tears

"By the time we're done betting it'll either be over or he'll be having fun, so there's not much point." Kale said with a shrug, he noticed the presence of nine dragons appearing within the stadium. What are they doing here. He stood suddenly and walked up the stairs. "Hey Kale, where are you going?" He ignored the question and continued up the steps. Tasha looked from Kale to the fight to Kyo and sighed. "Guess he's off to do mysterious dragon king stuff. Come to think of it whatever happened to you ruling all the vampires, Kyo?"

Zakk yawns as a group of thirty rush him "I'm gonna use an old favorite of mine." Zakk laughs and forms his index finger into a claw "Bloodshed..." One overconfident loser jumps up "Your time's up old man!" Zakk smiles so peacefully "Demon slash." Zakk rubs his finger though the air sending out the familiar red wave symbolizing many injuries and destruction to the stage "aww and i only used my finger, you guys gotta be the sorriest bunch of losers i've ever faced in my life!" Seth backs up from the spot he stands I think he went overboard, even if it was just his finger.

Kyo: ohhhh thats welll a good question............I just quit plain and simple though it was alot harder then it seemed alot of people werent too happy about the kokuyoku just up and quiting soo they tried to stop me.............and well to this day there are stilll people after me it was well a big mess

Tasha looks from Kyo to Zakk and back. "Kyo, our team has both you and Zakk on it. I think we're good no matter who or what we come up against. And there's also Kale, though he keeps going on and on about dying. And the rest of us can just sit back, relax, and enjoy the destruction." It's been a while I hope Kazuki and Beaux are ok. And where the devil did Kale run off to do? She crossed her arms and sat, waiting for the next fight.

Beaux was thoroughly lost by this point, he had seen several groups that "looked" tough but he wasn't overly concerned. What he was concerned about was the sudden presence of an intense killing intent right behind him. He turned to see one of the few people who inspired fear into him, Revy holding the seat of The Master of Weapons on the dragon council. Of all the people he knew he felt that she had the best chance of anyone killing Kale, even more so than the Kokuyoku. She placed a hand on his arm and they appeared surrounded by the other council members and Kale. Speaking of people who could inspire fear and awe.

((Short version of the following the 9 dragons plus Beaux form the dragon council, the dragon king's advisers, and they intend to strip Kale of his kingliness allowing the powers that lie with the dragon king to choose a new host. The actual new dragon king may not be revealed for some time after the stripping of Kale's powers, but it will not remove Kale's curse.))

Kale found the 9 standing, waiting for him. Though they seemed to look around expectantly. Garage walked up and shook Kale's hand. "Where is young Beaux? And who is the other dragon here that I am sensing? I notice someone similar to Beaux, but it is more...convoluted than him. Has he gone through some change?" Kale took a deep breath and looked down before looking back up at Garage. "He has gone through some changes, he's that dragon you're sensing. The other is of no consequence. A relic of a bygone era." Some of the others began murmuring, Garage merely raised an eyebrow. "I understand. Revy." He placed a hand on the head of the one person there that seemed older than Garage a black haired Chinese woman. She nodded disappeared and reappeared with Beaux standing next to her." "Revy? Garage? Dad? What's going on? Why is the council gathered?" "For your father's passing. It is not often we know the hour of a king's passing, however in this case we do so we shall perform the ritual." Revy spoke next. "The powers will be transferred, but the curse shall remain. Things are becoming turbulent at home so we wish to induct the new ruler as soon as possible, to avoid another civil war. As you know the full powers don't become accessible for at least a day sometimes longer. Some always try to claim the right to rule during that time. And as the past king is usually dead there are none who can force them down. But if we perform the ritual, if needed you can still make a show of face during that time which may be enough to silence them." "And if not" "we'll take care of it." It was two men one with green hair the other copper each was armed with a pair of daggers and a bow and quiver, Firo and Ladd rangers like Beaux.

The exact positions of people upon the council never stayed the same from dragon king to dragon king and in fact those that made up the council often changed over the years of a king's rule. Some held named positions, others were just called council members. Beaux looked at each council member in turn. Isaac and Miria, the ministers of entertainment, had lost interest in the purpose for them being there. For the gold and silver representatives they were somewhat undignified, perhaps that was why Kale had chosen them for the council. Although they weren't snooty they had their own way of irritating the other council members, such as walking off and talking to random people like they were doing right now. Lua was ever hidden beneath that great cowl she always wore. Clad in deep purple you'd never guess she was the brass dragon on the council, although you'd realize right away that she's the head magi of all dragons and for once the only mage on the council, until recently at least. If he had time he would love to get some training from her before the next major fight. Ennis stood ever glaring at Kale and yet not missing anything else that was going on. She was a true master martial artist and always gave the other members the views they seemed to miss and for a red dragon she seemed to keep her emotions in check very well although the embers in her eyes were always smoldering. And last but not least there was Luck he seemed a strange reflection of Kale. He was a copper dragon with the ability to heal like Kale did, perhaps better, and as such although he appeared as young as Beaux nobody else on the council was older than he and in fact nobody knew his age, but he was around during the war with the Kokuyoku though he never fought. Beaux had to wonder at just how large and powerful of a dragon Luck would be if he ever transformed. Slowly everyone, even Isaac and Miria stopped talking and turned their eyes to Beaux, The Lightning Emperor as he was called and the final member of the council. His placement had been the most hotly debated decision Kale had made. And Beaux had made it even more so when he disappeared from the affairs of the dragonkin shortly after his appointment. "What is everybody staring at?"

"The decision must be unanimous by all members or the ritual cannot be performed. Will you join us in the performance of the ceremony?" Beaux looked at everyone once more, Kale felt them rest upon his own eyes for a second longer than the rest before his son turned back to Lua and nodded. "Good, I shall begin making preparations for the ritual then, this would be easier if there were a queen but I will perform the portions she would and pay the necessary costs." "Wait, I think I know someone who should be able to take up the part." "Kale, she must be very powerful and a dragon and be capable of enchanting things. The right to enchant is only held by magi and the queen herself. The most powerful dragonesses are already here asides from Lightning Fist and she does not have the qualifications. And the other magi that would be powerful enough are all men or are blissfully ignorant of the situation you're in and would never agree." "Trust me, Lua, Tasha has all of those qualifications and more." Although it was impossible to see into the cowl he could sense the dubious look she was giving him even after the slight shift of assent. "Beaux, bring Tasha to us when the time for the ritual comes." His son nodded. "Very good, now if there's nothing else then I believe I shall be going. Come on Beaux."

Kyo: Im sure their fine Kazuki can hold his own and beaux Im sure he'll be fine 2 but our real problem is the chemistry between the 2 their next match is in a few minutes signaling the real trounament start but you see well during our training something happened with his flames and with tiamat inside of beaux its going to cause a majorproblem but we'll cross the bridge when we come to it

{ the announcer calls everyone to the stage for the next round to begin}

Kazuki: { hears his teams named called and e walks to the ring ad haru saya and mizuki are allready there}
