Introduction:
It has been 12 years since the Prince of the Underworld - referred to as Mundus - was sealed away on Mallet Island by the infamous Devil hunter known only as Dante. The island was supposedly destroyed after Mundus was defeated, and no trace of it was left behind.. or at least, that's what the majority of the populous thought before a previously non-existant land mass was spotted off the coast of Southern America. The catch is that it looks almost identical to the 'Gate to the Underworld' also known as Mallet island. Rumors have already started spreading about humans who decide to travel there to seek the powers residing within it, and of course, those humans were never heard from again after they had departed. Some speculate it's just the choppy waters around the island. Others believe there is a much, much darker truth behind this apparent lie...
Of course, the infamous Dante would have no doubt stepped in to finish of the demonic island for good... however, it might be easiest to say that at the current moment in time, both he, and everyone working alongside him, are preoccupied with events that are taking place in Russia. As a result, the rumors have not yet reached them, and by the time that they do, it will probably be too late for even them to do anything about it. Hence, the call has been answered by the budding young Devil hunters that follow in Dante's footsteps. He may not know exactly who they are, or what they're capable of, but that hasn't stopped them from accomplishing anything. Now, as the ultimate test of self-set initiation, these Devil hunters are going to tackle the Mallet island challenge head on, and expose exactly what's happening there to the rest of the world.

De-Briefing:
Just as a primary note, because of the way this RP is structured, only a MAXIMUM of 6 PEOPLE may join at any one time. If the RP starts to lose focus, or experiences a slip in activity, then I'll consider the idea of character substitution.... but until then; ONLY 6 PEOPLE - including myself - CAN JOIN THIS RP.

okay, on with the rest of it;
1- Characters:
Each character has the option of being a Devil, a Human, or a Cross-Species. Just to apply a little limit, I'll say there can only be 2 cross-species characters, while the rest either have to be full demon, or full human. Here's a little bit of info on these 'character types';
- 1a) Full Devils:
A full devil is only capable of using Devil Arms. However, because of their demonic blood, they can imbune magic into their weaponry, and effectively control any of the 4 elements of; Light, Shadow, Electricity or Fire.
A Full Devil's element is reflective of it's abilities. eg, if you were a 'Fire' wielding Devil, you would have incredible power compared to almost anything else, whereas if you were a 'Electricity' wielding Devil, your speed would outmatch pretty much every other element's speed, as well as being capable of flight.
finally, A Full Devil cannot take a human appearance, and also have much less stamina than the other two types of character.
- 1b) Full Humans:
A Full Human can only use projectile weaponry, but due to their resourcefulness, the ammunition they have is pretty much unlimited. They can also utilize items such as holy water to aid themselves, something which a Full Devil cannot even touch without damaging themselves immensely.
A Full Human, while incapable of using elemental attacks, is able to use skills that most Devils disregard, despite their high levels of utility. eg, while a Devil might have 'the ultimate speed', a human might have a skill like 'the ultimate cheap shot', whereby they could exploit their enemies' weaknesses.
Finally, Full Humans have the greatest amount of stamina, but they have no ability to transform into a Devil, or come into contact with a Devil Arm
-1c) Cross-Species:
A Cross-Species is capable of using both Devil Arms and Projectiles. as a result, they can imbune the element from their Devil Arm into their Projectile weaponry, boosting their power.
A Cross-Species can use the combat skills that a Full Devil can, and even use the same extra-abilities that they can - when in 'Devil Trigger' mode - however, they, like the Full Devils, aren't as shrewd as Full Humans, so they can't use the skills that a Full Human can.
A Cross-Species can temporarily take the form of their inner Devil. When they do this, their powers are increased dramatically, and they effectively become even stronger than a Full Devil. This form is known as 'Devil Trigger'
2- Devil Arms + Devil Trigger. A Brief Explanation:
- 2a) The Devil Arms:
These are melee weapons crafted in the underworld to be wielded by Devils. They each come with one element imbuned inside of them, and naturally emmit that element's energy even when they are not in use. A Devil cannot wield more than one Devil Arm, seeing as the one Devil Arm that they can use is the one that gives them their 'extra' elemental abilities, such as demonic speed or demonic power.
there are 4 Devil Arms in total, each one granting the wielder a different element;
1. Alastor: The Thunder Sword - gives the user control over ELECTRICITY. It also grants the wielder demonic speed, and the ability to fly ~ taken by: Nobodyknows
2. Ifrit: The Flame Guantlets - gives the user control over FIRE. It also grants the wielder demonic power ~ taken by: N/A
3. Yamato: The Holy Katana - gives the user control over LIGHT. It also grants the wielder supreme strength against DEMONIC forces ~ taken by: Kai the PKK
4. Sparda: The Devil Sword - gives the user control over SHADOW. It alos grants the wielder supreme strength against HOLY forces. it can change it's shape into either a halberd, or a scythe ~ taken by: Haseo{ToD}
- 2b) Devil Trigger:
This is an ability which can only be accessed by Cross-Species. For a short period of time, a Cross-Species in posession of a Devil Arm can use their Devil trigger to transform into a Devil. This enables the Cross-Species to unlock the full potential of their Devil Arm, along with numerous skills that it could not have used while in human form. As an added bonus, because a Cross-Species can also wield projectile weaponry, when they use Devil Trigger and transform into a Devil, they can still use their projectile weaponry, and those projectile weapons will become imbuned with the energy from their Devil Arms.
eg, if a Cross-Species using Alastor activated his Devil Trigger, then began using his projectile weapon, he would be firing lightning bolts instead of ordinary bullets.
As a result of this, many people consider Devil trigger - or even the ability to just pull it off - as one of the few things that is capable of trumping a Full Devil.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------3- Projectile Weapons:
there are 4 Different Projectile Weapons that can be used by Full Humans and Cross-Species. These weapons can be traded with other characters later on, but they cannot be shared. Each one of these projectile weapons grants a skill that only a Full Human can use.
Each Full Human/ Cross-Species can only wield one of the 4 types of projectile weaponry listed here;
1) Dual Submachineguns - These can be fired rapidly at a target. They are very effective against small enemies. (( Full Human Skill: equipping these enables you to use the 'Perfect Aim' Skill. Though your bullets don't do much damage, they'll never miss their target.)) - empty
2) Shotgun - This can be fired at a medium speed rate. It is very effective against large groups of enemies. (( Full Human Skill: equipping these enables you to use the 'Knockback' skill. If you hit an enemy with a blast from it, no matter how big they are, you can send them flying backwards.)) - taken by Nobodyknows
3) Dual Pistols - These have a slightly higher rate of fire than the Shotgun. They are very effective against Medium Sized enemies. ((Full Human Skill: equipping these enables you to use the 'Cheap Shot' skill. If you hit your target, there's a high chance it will occasionally kill your opponent in a few hits, unless they're heavily armored.)) - empty
4) Grenade Gun - This has the slowest firing rate of all. It is very effective against Slow enemies of every size. ((Full Human Skill: equipping these enables you to use the 'Feign Shot' skill. Pretend to fire a grenade at your enemy, then catch them off guard by throwing it at them.)) - empty

4. No Godmodding. Self explanatory. EVERYONE on this board should know not to do this by now.
5. No Power-Playing. Controlling other people's characters without their permission is strictly forbidden.
6. No Killing off Characters without Consent. See Above.
7. No Story-Modding. If you want to slightly change the plotline, please ask for my permission before you do so.

Personality: Aeolus is a naturally quiet boy. he likes to keep himself to himself, and not get involved in the problems of others. Because of this 'problem', most people see him as overly stand-offish, and hence choose not to socialize with him anyway. As a result of this, Aeolus doesn't have many friends, and has become incredibly dutiful, strong-willed, and self-reliant.
Bio: Aeolus is the son of a woman who made a deal with a Shadow - species of demon - known as 'Thardin'. In return for half of her remaining life span, it gave her the ability to give birth to a child. However, because the child was formed of demonic power, and was born from a human mother, the two different genetics clashed, and Aeolus was born as a Cross-Species. From an early age, Aeolus was studying the occult in an attempt to find out about the strange strength he seemed to have inherited from his father - whom he had never met - and as a result, quickly learned about the other world that his mother had tried to hide from him.
When he was around Eleven years of age, his mother died of unknown causes. Aeolus could only blame himself, due to the fact that he had no idea about the truth behind her death. He decided to sleep next to her corpse, trying to convince himself that she would eventually wake up. Then, towards the middle of the night, Aeolus was awoken by demonic laughter. He saw a demon at the window, holding his mother's corpse over it's shoulder. The Demon turned to him as soon as he had woken up. It was only after two minutes of silent observation that led Aeolus to realize the signifigance of this figure. This was partially due to his knowledge of the occult, but also because that demon's blood ran through his very veins. The figure seemed to smile at Aeolus' flabbergasted expression, then whispered a faint phrase into his mind, before vanishing into the darkness of the night.
Since that incident, Aeolus dedicated his life to practiscing the Occult arts, and even found himself one of the 4 legendary Devil Arms said to be used to seal away Mundus on the original Mallet Island. And what was speeding him onwards? It was the words that the demon had whispered to him the night that it took his mother away.
"So.. you're my son... right? You look a bit scrawny to be my descendant... but I'm sure you'll grow up to be one hell of a character. Sorry about having to take your mom away from you.... I wish I could explain it better.. but I can't. Anyways... come and find me when you gain more independence. You'll know where to look when you begin your search.. so, until next time, kiddo."
