Thats not necessarily them, however weren't their silhouettes seen in the first trailer/batch of screens? In a game environment.

Only Atoli's were. By the looks of that particular screenshot though, they look like actors trying to promote something, possibly The World R:X's release, as the (Fake?)Atoli's holding a microphone. If they were the actual characters in the game, then real world civilians wouldn't be surrrounding them. Until more info is released, Kuhn and Pi are still "?" marks.

Even though i can't identify the first 2 "figures", that specific image looks more like some sort of flashback than a scene from the game...so even with that, we can't tell for sure. However, i think it's pretty obvious that Kuhn and Pi will be in the game as well. It'll just be ridiculous if all we see about them are flashbacks or "actors" XD

Yep, she's pretty much the GU Black Rose...that never made it to you, but had a complete "design" and that's just how it was, including the sword. It's also somewhat nice there's more difference between Mimiru and Black Rose now, else i'd be confused alot while playing the game...and i'll still get confused anyways sometimes XD

Well I dont know about that. I mean the sword yea, but it looks like all changes from her original design aren't the G.U. ones. Unless theres a different G.U. concept art besides that one with her standing by her sword.

I mean the only thing similar to this and the G.U. picture I saw are the same things that are similar to the original design. (Once again, save the sword.)

So anyone know if Crim, Helba or Zelkova are coming back? They have most of the cast of .Hack Sign coming back, well besides Sora of course, so they gotta add in Crim somewhere.

Nothing yet. There are 33 playable characters and 21 members revealed in Tokio's party. Add one more and that leaves 8 characters remaining. They've covered Sign so I don't think there will be any more additions. However there are 100 characters returning which means they have just as great a chance. Just not CPU controlled. In addition Helba and Zelkova's explination were never completely filled, if there was a chance to add them into the flow now would be the time. As for Crim he's on his luck.

XD Blackrose and Ovan!!!, hopefully Ovan will finally be a useable character!!!!!!!! can't wait for the game to come to NA and also IF they take anything out for the NA version, their idiots!!(and there will be hell to pay muwhahah =P) its not like hardcore fans or new fans care about the fact some of those characters never made it to NA. Who cares all the 100+ characters better be there. If we wanted we could read the manga and watch the shows with those JP only characters on the Internet! So there lol. Anyways im look 4ward to the release of both the Manga and The game.... But they can keep the Anime .hack//link show........ (terrible animation for a .hack show, ruins the serious and sad parts and emotional all together that might be in the new series.... cause all I did when I see the animation..... Is laugh. the only way i could expect such bad quality of anime drawingstyle...., is if the whole show was a comendy only.)

I already said this in the thread you made on the topic, but that animation is just the opening to the game. Not a show.

And I'm still wanting to confirm that Shino is in the game and a party member to boot. Actually, it'd be great if Gardenia managed to show up at one point too.

PFFFT, Like the hell I got to realise this. lol I was at school after all, and just posted quickly. All I saw was .hack//Link Animation, Im not one to usually post without reading (and I shouldn't of been wandering of the computers during calss.) But I liked the style... Its just if it was a anime, it wouldn't suite anything more than a comendy... Which also brings to a point... I hope they bring back Gift.. lol this time with all of the characters in .hack//Link. I didn't see any posts.... Cause when I got on. The thread was gone (for a good reason, now that I had time to read the stuff and understand.) So when you said " already said this in the thread you made on the topic" I didn't know If there is a anime I hope it sticks to the animation of the game and Manga. I like it personally.

I see them over the net, however try using 4gamer for logoless images. Dothack wikia also updates depending on who gets there first.

The image is small and I had to zoom in but Silabus also remakes an appearance. He is standing next to Kite. (There is a slight chance I mistaking the character from the colors.)

This was probably meant for the PSP section. However there might be a reason for that.  If I follow your same line of thought then she isn’t (is) the original. Midori (Cell) was defeated by Azure Kite. Her data was placed into a sword and her memories were given to Midori Shimomura (Body). Although the change might be purely artistic in Link there's a high chance its both of the Midori. Midori Shimomura created a PC similar to Midori. She also has the sword her otherself is store in. (Don't take my word too much though. Most of the information is from summaries and I haven't read the English novel yet.
