Re: Dot Hack GU3 Redemption Codes
Wow, awesome codes!
Thank a hell lot, Skiller and ZED!
So, I read you can get Natsume only after you beat the game, is there a cheat to unlock her right away?
Also, can you only add skills to Haseo's skill trigger?
Can you add them to his menu, so that you can you can customize the trigger in game?
If so, can you also add the working dual swords/broadsword/scythe dummy skills?
And what about the lvl 255 code?
It only changes the lvl number, but not the stats.
Considering the huge influence your lvl has on damage dealt and received, that should make you (almost) invincible regardless of stats.
Did anyone test if you still gain exp and lvl up your stats normally, even if the lvl is at 255?
Thanks

I would say from this video...

Certainly so. Not sure about the other dummied arts though.

Re: Dot Hack GU3 Redemption Codes
This is a prototype code, but it represents an important breakthrough in my model research:
10B4E8B4 0000000D
204CA0D4 0079656B
509A9F3C 00000014
0095B030 00000000
2095B044 009237A8
509A9F54 00000014
0095B048 00000000
Click for a pic.
You won't want to invite Zelkova with this code active, the portrait will start screwing up and freeze the game if you do.
He has all of the abilities of a normal PC Steam Gunner, so the guard break trouble is there, and Dust Bullet doesn't work, but everything else is fine. It is a prototype, so of course he'll look weird and won't have any of his real abilities, but this is a big breakthrough nonetheless.
But if you don't like it, you can talk to my little friend instead. Don't read anything into those eyes, that's the work of an overdose of botox.

Re: Dot Hack GU3 Redemption Codes
The funny thing is that out of Ovan's three forms, Tri-Edge was the only one that didn't do this. I'm not sure why the regular model did that. The avatars and Lei Abado did the same thing when I tried them out, but unlike Ovan, their models weren't inside the box to my knowledge. Then again, it's possible they were and were just shrunk down to where I couldn't see them before the game froze, like when I replaced Goblin Rookies with Light Neighbors. :\

As always, pushing the game to it's limits. So it looks like it will be possible to play as... anyone? Or... anything? Soon? That's certainly very strange, though. Haha! Though what's the reason with the large "censor" box around Ovan?

He doesn't know why for sure. Out of Ovan's three models, only the Tri-edge one didn't come out looking like something the FCC touched.Xu Yuan wrote:As always, pushing the game to it's limits. Re: Dot Hack GU3 Redemption Codes
Found this while messing with Avatar data:
Avatar battle music codes
009FDB44 000000?? - AIDA <Anna>
009FDB50 000000?? - Tarvos
009FDB5C 000000?? - Magus
009FDB68 000000?? - Macha
009FDB74 000000?? - Azure Flame God
009FDB80 000000?? - AIDA <Helen>
009FDB8C 000000?? - AIDA <Gate Keeper>
009FDB98 000000?? - AIDA <Oswald>
009FDBA4 000000?? - Gorre
009FDBB0 000000?? - Innis
009FDBBC 000000?? - Corbenik
009FDBC8 000000?? - Fidchell
009FDBD4 000000?? - Corbenik the 2nd
009FDBE0 000000?? - AIDA <Grunwald>
009FDBEC 000000?? - AIDA <Victorian>
009FDBF8 000000?? - Cubia Alpha
009FDC04 000000?? - Cubia Beta
Known song list:
1A - Everything in These Hands (Azure Kite)
1B - (nothing)
1C - I'm Right Here (Skeith)
1D - Here "I" Am (Innis)
1E - Differences Between People (Magus)
1F - Chain of Fate (Fidchell)
20 - Double Prayer (Gorre)
21 - "She" (Macha)
22 - Location of Power (Tarvos)
23 - Dark Infection (Corbenik)
24 - Dark Infection (Corbenik)
25 - AIDA
83 - The Third Crisis (Cubia)
Turns out the freezing problem with changing Avatar models is actually the fact that I'm changing the model, which means there's something else that has to be changed before I can take up altering Avatars on a respectable level. It was while looking for that that I stumbled upon the music codes. If anyone whips up a full song list, who knows, maybe I can find what controls the music elsewhere and do things like change the Arena music, or create a real no music code.
EDIT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1J0hv6qH9o
A code for Skeith the 3rd is in the description, but be warned that he's very glitchy outside of the Cubia battle, so don't expect much.

Re: Dot Hack GU3 Redemption Codes
I haven't given up, it's just that I can't stop finding new stuff.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cl3CxmydBQs
Someone requested that I fight the Xth Triad myself a long time ago, so after some testing of the PC properties and some thinking of how much power to give them (it would be boring if they lacked some special power I can't have), I transformed The Sweepstakers into the Triad. Codes to fight them are in the video description. The guide I have on model hacking, which is becoming a character customization guide pretty much, will hopefully be released next week at some point and if you can use it, you can do nearly whatever you want (nearly meaning I can't figure out how to apply different palettes to player-controlled PC's. I'm trying, but since the actor properties for SPC's are mostly only used at the start of a new game and are a bit different in format, not to mention the game hates it when they're altered beyond class data, things aren't looking good).

Well you can see the avatars from all angles when you play the simulate, so surly you can switch their coding with Skeiths. I mean they couldn't attack unless you some how coded their attacks with the buttons or something like that. But you could move around as them right?_Tri-edge_ wrote:I believe he can only change them using Skeith's three forms. Re: Dot Hack GU3 Redemption Codes
No, the game just freezes before the battle is fully loaded. I'm still missing some important data anyway on Skeith, since it seems to think the homing shots are regular shots, regular shots are the scythe, and the scythe is probably nothing for Skeith the 3rd in any other battle than Cubia. I haven't been able to find anything pertaining to this oddity, and it's kind of unlikely considering it's probably something in the code for the avatar enemies themselves (like how you can't use Skeith the 2nd's five-hit combo on AIDA <Anna> in Reminisce because it wasn't programmed specifically to encounter the 2nd, only the 1st).Ratsu wrote:Well you can see the avatars from all angles when you play the simulate, so surly you can switch their coding with Skeiths. The only other data that's missing AFAIK is what tells the game to use specific versions of <Anna> and <Oswald>. That's the only reason I have nothing for <Bertha> and <Isabella> yet, not even acknowledgment that they can't be fought.
Re: Dot Hack GU3 Redemption Codes
Wow, I totally missed you even mentioning them... So you mean those names are in there but if any models are you haven't gotten them to work yet?

Re: Dot Hack GU3 Redemption Codes
Correct. If their names were just text in the executable, I'd ignore them, but they look accessible if I just knew how to find the right data:Kuukai wrote:Wow, I totally missed you even mentioning them... So you mean those names are in there but if any models are you haven't gotten them to work yet?

There's also the odd fact that Redemption contains two copies of the <Anna>, <Helen>, and <Oswald> files, with the only difference being that the <Oswald> file doesn't contain data for <Grunwald>. I'm not sure what that's about or why hackstract sorts them with the monster files. They could very well *be* monsters for all I know, but if that's the case, I'm not sure how to access them, just like I can't yet access the generic IYOTEN and Asta files. There's no link to either of those files, and writing my own just causes a game freeze, though I *suspect* it's probably because I'm overwriting another file path and the game wants nothing to do with that. I can't be certain until I write to some free space.
As for Rebirth, there is a strange looking prototype AIDA <Helen> that doesn't appear in the latter two volumes, but there's no file path to it either, and it has no name; I can only surmise that it's <Helen> because the filename is the same as in the later volumes. Even if i could load it, it very likely wouldn't work because there's no battle data for it. Here's the model skins:

As far as working models, while there's enough space to cover up to Gorre, the spaces for it, AIDA <Helen>, AIDA <Gate Keeper>, and the usual blank space have no data beyond default blank data and defense values, so there aren't any extra hidden avatar battles to be had in that game.
Oh, and I can also confirm that it is NOT the lack of controls that makes the avatar enemies unplayable. Giving Skeith the attack ability of an enemy places him in CPU control, and it makes him try to act like said enemy (Corbenik gives some weird results too, like instantaneous movement and strafing at breakneck speed). The problem is something else entirely... can't say what it is though. :\

Re: Dot Hack GU3 Redemption Codes
To make up for the lack of no model hacking guide release this week (I said I would somewhere, I forget where), I'm posting this. I just figured out this particular area word I was using to break into the dummied areas (along with a few others) didn't actually need every single combination to be changed in order to force the game to let me go where I wanted.
Just know that most of these areas are a one-way trip, and you'll have to reset when you're done. Some of these use a filename instead of an actual name because I haven't checked the place out; I was using hackstract to preview areas in order to only hit the most interesting ones. This is a full list, BTW, so putting in higher values beyond the final Netslum bridge won't work.

Re: Dot Hack GU3 Redemption Codes
Thank you, Master Zed...now I can play as Sirius and Sophora in my party! Is it best to buy new equipment as them because I find it hard getting them new equipment as either of them.
Re: Dot Hack GU3 Redemption Codes
