.Hack//Alcor

Post by TsukasaKitty »

Long time no chat, hackers of past and new.

Okay, let's get this popsicle stand of a post up, eh?

I'm a big fan of .Hack//....anything from the games, to the manga, to the anime, cosplaying, toys.....etc. Yet, maybe two years ago, I got this non translated manga from a friend. I am not fluent in Japanese and am just beginning my self taught lessons.

Nonetheless, it does not help me with this. I don't even know if others have read this series or know of it's existence.

It's beautifully drawn. The name of the people behind it's creation are apparently Rena Izumibara and Kanami Amou although I do not know who these people are. They are certainly different from Rei and others.

Some images I scanned in:

I figured maybe some .Hacker friends may be able to tell me more about this series. Maybe even the great d5t?

Anyways, if someone could also help me translate it, I'd be appreciative. (Mostly the character page)

I'll Wiki it so we can get some info that may/may not come.

Keep me as informed as I shall you guys.

The .hack//wiki pretty much gives a near full completed summary of it.

http://dothack.wikia.com/wiki/Alcor

It's a fairly short series that focuses on a twin blade named Nanase  who later becomes Sophora, the captain of the sixth division in Moon Tree.
Nanase is known to look very similar to Alkaid. In real life, she idolizes her as well, and tries to become more like her.

Basically, the story revolves around Nanase, her love interest with Silabus, her rivalry/idolization of Alkaid, and her general character development. I'm sure you can read more in-depth if you look at the wiki.

Ehh, I thought Alcor was cute enough. Doesn't contribute much to the main story and it's not very deep, but it's a nice side manga that doesn't star Haseo.

I thought it was only one volume.

I actually have it and enjoyed it also. I liked how they also put some offline content, too.
