FFX-3:Aurons story, could it be done?

Post by Dantomane »

I had this idea some time ago. What do you think?
You play as Auron of his youth in the pilgramige with Braska and you pick up Jecht and do the journy from Zanarkand to Besaid and back again. Also you can freely switch between Braska and Jecht like in FF12 if you want to.Because look at it this way (almost) everyone wants to play as Auron while playing FFX,now you can and also as a bonus you can play as auron in tiduses storyline when you beat the game. There will be a free roam system however there will be areas in the game that are the same but things like paths and caves will be different. You can gain skills like being able to jump from normal to above normal to supernatural heights and maybe even flight. You can steal from enemies still. and yes hold the huge katana. and cast magic and summon aeons and control them like actually moving them. The weopons system could be somewat like the .hack adept rogue system were you can hold a restricted but multiple kind of weopons.and you can have some extra characters like Ronsos and Yevon soldiers (they use swords and stuff they arn't the bad yevonites)and you can tell them what to do like open doors and break locks and cut trees down whatever.
the environment system will be beutiful eveything will be almost real (Square should contract with Ubisoft for this one;you know why) rocks can be thrown, enemies can be droped off buildings, mass crazy crap goin on there and everywere. Stealth will be awesome kills, evasive mauvuers, mask noise (smell even?).IT'LL BE CRAZY AS HELL,PANDEMONIAL!!! (crazy as hell guy-Mad TV) magic system- each aeon gives you it's soul (ex. soul of Ifrit) each character equipes them as espers like in FF6 and you learn spells from them;or a continueation of the sphere grid only better

Ideas for characters
Auron:
Weopons;Katanas of all shapes and sizes
Hand-to-hand combat;mixed martial arts
Stealth weopons:small katanas,daggers,knives
field ability specialty: high jump
battle ability specialty: "Break's"
limit breaks:same as last only different graphics, maybe

Braska:
Weopons:all magic realated weopons
hand-to-hand combat;one designated martial art
stealth:hands, garrote wire maybe,I cant think of anything else
field ability specialty: hovering,or summons own abilities (ex. ifrit-climb,valefore-flight)
battle ability:multiple spell castings
limit breaks:first magic fury, seconed grand summon

Jecht:
weopons; swords
hand to hand combat; undirecte like how blitz players fight
stealth; have no idea
field ability, can swim under water for unlimited time
battle ability:same as tidus
limit breaks:same as tidus

This is just a theory,I have no idea if Enix is doing this. If they are it is a complete coincidence.
What do you think.

Well, Auron is awesome so that would almost make the game worth itself right there.

But since we already know the ending, theres only a few points in the main story that we'd like to see.

Besides that, FFX and FFX-2 have been out for years now, with two more FF titles already released. Unless it has as imeanse a popularity of FF7, then they wouldn't go back to it.

I loved FFX. It had so much in it the I even consider it to be better than FF7. But thats just me.

But not all your idea's would work. For instance only summoners could call Aeons. So inless there was some kind of Summoner School you could have them go through to be able to summon Aeons you wouldn't be able to equip the characters with summons. Also in the game the Summoner has to commun with the Faith to gain the summon. So you would have to go to every temple multiple times in order to have all your characters have summons.

FFX had many ground breaking features. Not only was it the first FF game to have voice overs and cut scenes that blended in with the regular game play so well that it was hard to tell them apart, but you could also switch out characters mid battle and could even change weapons and armor while still in battle as well. Not to mention you could customize your characters in the sphere grid to match your style of game play. I have not seen this level of customization in any other game I've ever played before or since. Not even the Materia system in FF7 could compare to FFX, its just that good.

The story was one of the best in all the RPG's I've played. Even better than FF7 in my opinion. The only other RPG that could be better than FFX would be Star Ocean: Tell The End of Time.

FFX-2 was also another great game in my optinion. It was a True RPG. There was no fixed story line that you had to follow other than the inevitable final battle that is. You could make your own decisions that would impact how the game turns out. Multiple endings and paths made this a game that I replayed several times just to see how many different stories you could bring out. And there were even some side stories that were very amusing. Like the Chocobo vs. Machina mystery. I did that one so many ways, and the funniest one was when you set it up so that sage guy was the culprit. It sounded like a scooby doo mystery and that guy had Shaggy's voice. I was laughing like crazy watching it.

The Garment Grid was also another great battle system. You could change your characters class and abilities by changing their garment to something more fitting the situation. And the garment spheres could gain experience and unlock more abilities. Not to mention there were 3 garment spheres that were like summons.

The Game Plus option was also very good. If you missed something or you didn't get the garment spheres fully leveled up then you could carry them over into the next play through without having to start completely from scratch.

I keep hoping that maybe they'd make another FFX sequel. After all FFX-2 was originall going to be 2 games, 1 for Yuna's story and the other for Rikku's story. But that idea fell through and they just stuck with Yuna's Story. But I can always hope that they would someday make Rikku's Story.

A direct sequel to a freaking awful direct sequel to a sequel? No thanks. This is the primary reason why SquareEnix' quality has faded over the years: quick money sequels to a popular franchise.

I'd rather it be something like VIncent's game... a Action RPG than a turn base RPG

I feel this is the biggest problem I have with Disney as well: instead of coming up with a new story, they instead do a follow-up to a movie they already did. I mean, did we really need a Cinderella 3?

Thank you but I believe you have got the wrong idea with the summons because i know that only braska can summon and you only equip the aeons for there abilities, not to summon them(that was just an Idea)

Also I have not yet played FFX-2 but I do want to try it.It's wierd how that so many people argue about how they do and dont like it.Are there any statisic ratio things like every 1:2 FF players like FFX-2?

With Rikku though you are right they should make a game about her.

Also with the customization thing,It sounds like you havent played FF12 because you can make any character use any weapon. Like main character Vaan is supposed to use sword and shield but I have him using rifles and soon buster swords. And you can tell allies to or to not use spells(like .hack I guess) and what spells to use and when (commands can be found or bought). But if you have played 12 I mean you no disrespect

Agreed.
not only for the X-2 (personaly didn´t like it... i stand by the ending from the X and pretend X-2 doesn´t exist) but for the FF VII too...

I don´t like the "oh... look, this game gave us a lot of money, let´s make a crapy sequel to get more" way of thinking.
I prefear what i call... the .hack way "we will make them buy 4 games, an anime and a manga but hey... at least we say that from the begining and plan it all to fit and relate perfectly".

I´m giving Square the benefit of the doubt one last time on this sequel thing... since it seems that they are doing it "the .hack way" for FF XIII and versus.
