The ending, wtf. -SPOILERS-

Well for me, I didn't see it as Haseo choosing Atoli as much as I saw it as Haseo choosing Atoli over Shino. For me though, I see Haseo being with Alkaid just because that's pretty much what the first half of Volume 2 built up, very well IMO.

2 Hours of build up over 3 games, right?

Personally, I saw that Haseo valued what Atoli had done for him. She melted a part of him that had become cold to the world. So this was really important because he didn't want to close up again. Then again, how he met Atoli was because of Shino, so it's a conflicting viewpoint. To be honest- Haseo felt that he had loyalty to Shino and a debt to settle with Atoli.

 As far as relationships go, Endrance and Haseo are the only two that should be together. I mean c'mon, could it be anymore obvious? Endrance, quite literally, fawns over Haseo and Haseo shows the "bad boy" side towards Endrance. It's completely obvious, I've even talked to people who have played the game and they agree as well...

I don't really like Atoli that much but whatever who cares if they end up together since their story is done anyway. I'm glad he didn't end up with Alkaid. This frees her up to appear future installments.

I think Haseo would have done well with Alkaid, but yeah that just didnt happen.
The prologe after the Forest of Pain shows Shino and Haseo talking. Seemed to me they were still close friends if nothing else. So, really. Make up your own mind. I'll agree it was pretty dry the way they did it and it left me wanting to know for sure what exactly happened. I wanted to know 100% instead of 98% sure that Atoli got Haseo........but but anyway. I just think it's very very sad that Haseo worked his @$$ off to save Shino and in the end he didnt even end up with her..... Kind of a tragic ending in some respects

Im going to get alot of hate for this Clang! ....Especially from the Endrance Fanboys/girls...but I say Haseo X Ovan XD. He's waaaay to infatuated with that guy.

As far as Women go, I would have to say Alkaid X Haseo would have been the what I personally would have chosen. I think Haseo should just take lessons from Kuhn and pimp all the lady's (Including Endrance) and have angst for Ovan still =( Sounds about right Clang!

When I first played G.U. I immediately disliked Atoli, and thought she was trying to come into the storyline as Shino's replacement or something...
She was just downright annoying as hell.
I didn't even know Shino's character very well, and yet I still refused to see Atoli as a better person than she was.
But later on, she kinda grew on me,(her backstory and how she had stayed with Haseo through thick and thin) and I started to admire her personality. I saw her as a totally different person in volume 3.
In fact, I think a lot of the characters changed, but Ovan and Shino..they stayed the same, didn't they?

Anyway, the bottom line is, I freaked when I first saw the ending to volume 3 on youtube (and this was quite some time ago). Being an adament Shino x Haseo fan,I was very upset and thought it made no sense whatsoever. But after playing through and beating volume 3 myself, it makes perfect sense to me now. And Haseo really does belong with Atoli. If I had been in his situation, there's no way I would have let Atoli go cry a river all by herself.
And as for Shino, she's still a dear friend, but she clearly has her heart set on Ovan.
Either way, I'm happy. I still admire the relationship between Haseo and Shino, so..who cares if they don't end up all over each other in the end. They're together again..
And they'll see Ovan again.
And then everyone will be happy!

Anyhow, personally from Haseo's character and the fact during one of the events Atoli dragged him into where he stared at her ' Did she always look that cute? ' *embarrassing moment after* I'd say Atoli considering she's been through everything with him while Alkaid...well..she smacked you around and got avatar'd and then she asked you to help see her bf Sirius and then got AIDA'd.....>>;....yah she may have admitted her feelings but she's out of the loop and way too far behind.

Either way, Atoli has to be the traditional ending...but the game allows you to have a choice so...go with anybody you wish people!

I thought most of it was cheesy, except the VERY last scene. xD (I mean really, I was all "YOU MUST DESTORY YOUR AVATARS. SHEESH. WISEMAN YUR STUPID. Honestly, I DESPISED Haseo in the first game. I wanted to eat his face off all the time. I was like "I dun wanna play an a-hole like hiiiiiiim. TT___TT" But He got smart (Though cheesy xD) and kind, so he grew on me, so now Haseo's okay... but still cheesy. xDDD Me and my sister had fun making jokes about his cheesy lines. xDDDD I was all "OMG ATOLI I ELL YOU <3333" for a while, and then I was like "LYKE GET THE EFF AWAY FROM HER SAKAKI." And... you know "GO DIE IN A DITCH SAKAKI." (Which he technically did... ne? xDDD In The World anyways). I hated Sakaki to no end. xD Poor Atoli, has to accept that she was wrong all along about Sakaki, and Haseo had a reason to wanna eat Sakaki's face. x3

... I'm SO gonna get Haseo to marry Sakubo. *shot* Saku AND Bo are almost full affection anyways. xP And now I don't hate Saku to death. xD

The fact remains, Haseo loves Atoli. I mean, the Promise greeting card was there strictly for the fans, it wasn't actually part of the story, thus you can't actually take that into consideration.

Atoli grew with Haseo. They changed together, grew together, and eventually loved one another. Its the natural phenomenon of life. When Shino said, "You have to be honest with yourself," it was her little way of saying, in truth, "I know you love Atoli. You're no obligated to me. Follow your heart."

Personally, I love Atoli, and found her to be the best choice. Its mostly because of Atoli that Haseo is who he is. Likewise, its mostly Haseo's fault that Atoli has become so strong. In the immortal words of Yuri Lowenthal, "Change is everything" (not a direct quote, so sue me). From the very beginning they were destined to be together.

To all of you who say you hate Atoli, I say screw you.

I felt Shino did kinda get screwed over in that ending. She's been in a coma all this time, finally gets to see Haseo for herself, and then he runs after Atoli.
That's what the Shino fangirl in me feels. Otherwise the ending made sense. As much as I love the ShinoXHaseo pairing, Atoli and Haseo are, admittedly, the canon couple. Gashsplurnit...

Doesn't mean I have to marry them off, now does it?

You have to look at it carfully, Haseo never rejected Shino in that at all. Right before Haseo leaves, he nods to Shino. I think it could be seen as not dicting Shino for Atoli, but as saying he'll start the twilight brigade with but still move forward with his old and new friends.

Shino never liked Haseo, anyway. She even says so in Returner. "He's not really my type." or "I don't really feel that way for him." Depending on the translation.

Frankly, let Haseo have Atoli and let Shino have Ovan. Everybody wins.
