Lvl Grinding for Ovan (Obvious Spoilers)

Just tried to take on Ovan and got destroyed. Right now I am about lvl 114 and was able to get him to 3900 or so health. I had Kuhn rez me for the triedge atack but what really go t me was Ovans healing orbs. He was back up to full health in no time flat. Back to the grinding I guess.

one good idea is to add boost candle which doubles all healing items effect and when you see those orbs start to form start up your skill trigger and blast away

The problem is that even with a sythe lvl of 30, it takes 4-5 hits just to kill them. Again, I'm only lvl 114. One combo from Ovan could very possibly take me out for the count.

i was around level 121 i believe and it all comes down to timing especially when ovan does the large beam and he circles the area

You'd probably want to stack on HP bonuses and that armor from Vol. 2 dopple if you're gonna be taking him on at a low level.
His cutscene attack'll wipe you out otherwise.

LVL 124 was when I beat him.Good Armour helps.And the Bikers Charm and alots of Heal Storms.

yeah that tri edge "sign" strike is quite a heave hitter even with the rainbow scales and its 25% reduction i still got hit for well over 1000 damage at my level

I beat him with Haseo (117), Pi (113), and Endrance (111). The battle was crazy but not that hard. I don't know about 114, probably do have to level a little more. Boosted items let you use an awakening pretty quicky. Attack items help here and there. With a decent stock of healing items, rains are wonderful, there's no big deal really.

I didn't use Haseo to attack much outside of an awakening, or with items here and there, didn't need to. Pi and Endrance keep him plenty busy on Rage. Just have to heal them. Key is healing them when they hit 0 but before they die, just more work if you have to revive them and heal their SP. I wouldn't take Khun myself either, too slow. Worked well for me because I had to people in his face pummeling him.

The tri-edge attack was always a KO on me. This is the only point in the fight that things could turn very bad. What I did when that happened is set Pi and Endrance to Life and/or just had them revive me directly. Worked fine. Part of that is a matter of luck though, I suppose. Not sure if things would have been different if I was wearing better armor or not. I had on Bone +5 with no attachments. I was going to set it up for the fight but forgot until it was too late.

Well, there you go. Maybe the way I did things will help people that need to beat him. Doesn't take a genius to think up the way I did it but...

<_<;; I recomend level 125. Then fight Ovan~ He'll go down easy if you use your twin blades and do beast awakening ALOT.

First time 115 I got owned even with amour + 25%+10% . I beat him at Lvl 119 .

Ovan was like in vol 2s boss except in tis case was stronger...
i lost the first time level 125 dmg me 4k on all 3 charaters!!!(i think my ovan was glitched...)
the second times i was level 130 and i came back and icked his *** lol easy when i used drain arc...dmg 1.6k the my beast dmged 3k O.o

took me quite some time to get rid of those pesky neighbours due to my scythe weapon lvl...only 16...Kuhn's dust bullet helps alot...

i don't really recommend avatar awakening though, beast work better...killed him with two beast using Heine's Invasion which helps alot...

Heine Set from volume 2 helps alot though the broadsword is kinda useless in this fight...

Scythe to help maintain your hp level while Twin blade to actually pin Ovan down

It happens, they shouldn't have made it easy to level up so fast then ^_^

yeah, leveling is darn easy...get a Train ring (i got one that gives 50% more exp) and go to the dungeon which is like 3-5 level above you and start whacking...

but leveling weapon is a pain....guess i'll be spending some time doing arena battles

I think I beat him on 123 or lower, with Pi and Atoli, or something... (don’t remember exsactly…) The best thing I could suggest is to save your awaking for his healers, take them out quick. I didn’t have any practically good armor at the time, but his cut-screen attack only killed me once, it usually did heavy damage taking half of Haseo’s HP, but was only fatal once. Oddly it was the only time Haseo died…

I beat Ovan at lvl 120 i equipped Haseo with Hp Increase 50% and so i got 4.3k exp but was still a crazy battle took a while until I kill him because the reject and restoring things keep blocking me off and healing back but just wait until you got full awakening and destroy his reject and use Beast Awakening and Pwn him

can anyone come up with a strategy for me cause im losing like no tomorrow well i was thinking cause i am using haseo at lvl 117 pi at 115 and atoli at 116 is that good enough?
