Your missing alot of great RPGs. Knights of the Old Republic 1&2, Wild ARMs Series, Shadowhearts Series and Grandia Series, just to name a few.

Not to mention there are many categorys of RPG. Turn Based, Action, Tactical/Strategy. Trying to compare all of those under one umbrella can be a bit unfair.

But if I wanted to name one as the top contender amongst them all, it would have to be Final Fantasy Tactics, NOT Advanced. The most fun I've ever had playing an RPG, and it has great replayability. Since every game can be completely different depending on class choices you pick by how you level your troops. The runner up would have to be Shadowhearts. Off beat humour, evil spirits, saving the world, guns, old and powerful magic and endings that hit you in the heart if you have any sympathy.

Hmm...Shadow Hearts. I've been thinking about perhaps buying one of the series' games.

On a side note, other RPGs you happened to miss were the Phantasy Star and Tales Of series.

Anywhoo, my favorite RPG would have to be Tales of Symphonia. The combat system was very good, its story was very good (including its plot twists), and its characters were very well designed (design, behavioral, and background wise) Maybe its also because it was the first RPG I had ever played...

where are xenogears, final fantasy tactics, vagrant story, chrono trigger, FF7, FF6, chrono cross, xenosaga, tales of the abyss, and more?
the best of those five ones is fable in think.. then G.U.
FF KH and RG (expecially RG) sucks

The Suikoden series. Collecting 108 Stars of Destiny is fun, each of the characters have interesting little background stories. Characters that are known from the old games came back in the newer ones. That's nice to see. The war games (some of them anyway) and the infamous bath scenes.

I love Suikoden.

Or maybe, I'm a bit biased right now since I'm re-playing Suikoden 5 at the moment. X3

Star Ocean - though its discontinued, its truly epic and has my all time favourite battle system or random battles and then action sequences within those battles.

Fire Emblem - Best Strat RPG of all time IMO.

Pokemon - I cant believe you dont have this up there... Thats rediculous.

Disgaea - VERY GOOD GAMEPLAY!

There's going to be another Star Ocean game for the next-gen consoles. Don't have any details about though...

There's also the Atelier Iris series.

If I had to choose between whats up there....Kingdom Hearts...If i didnt...Pokemon.WHy Pokemon?You know at one point in your life you carried your gameboy with you everywhere and it had Pokemon in it and that game never left the GB itself until you were done and done everything you can do.ANd you know your life mission at one point was to get all 151,252,or 386 pokemon....I only got to 151...TT_TT
