Yes you win 1 of Haseos best gun weapons for his Xth form on the way to clearing it.

FOP has 1 boss every 10 floors so 10 boss's total and yes you can also save the game every 10 floors.

But if you ever leave the area once the floor 50 boss is killed you will always restart the forest on the 50th floor.

So its just best to do all 100 floors on 1 run of the forest even if it takes like 5 to 7 hours to do so even if you only fight the 10 boss's while skipping all non boss fights.

There are bosses every FIVE levels, I am afraid. Every five levels, you can save and switch party members. And for the love of god, dont bother doing it in one run. You can still start from the floor you saved on after 50, just don't literally exit the area. The save point is on the area.

Also, word of wisdom people, DON'T skip all the monsters, because every set of five floors has missions which require you fight at least once, and the prizes are sometimes (before 50) VERY valuable, and after 50 ALWAYS valuable. Wanna have add-ons that take one slot but do the same as the three slot 50% HP/SP absorb add-ons? Or one slot Charm? Confuse? 95% HP delete? Getting through yet? Thought so. Read translations of the mission requirements on the Vol 3 FAQ. (number 6 is smoke screen usage, I think. I just fought every monster and used plenty of items, and i fulfilled the requirements EVERY time)

So aside from the Dual Gun there are many Rare Items. Is it right? Can you do this event solo?

As for those effects I'd still rather skip winning those items that allow that since I will still be using the 3 doppleganger weapons + Haseo's lost weapon for a HP /SP Drain and confusion effects anyways.

The Forest of Pain just sounds more awesome the more I learn about it.

before we enter the forest of pain what item or equipment must be used?
when we enter it, is it advisable to level up until maximum level? :?:

Well even at max LV the normal encounters can be just as taxing item wise as the boss's.

Which is why when I will enter the dungeon I will skip all non boss battles.

I didn't skip till around Floor 75 at which point I was super annoyed/bored. (I did it all in one night you see...)

You may wear whatever you like. Your startegy will have a big impact on the level. You don't need to be MAX level. If you were, you wouldn't have any fun until Floor 50. Feel free to start after the Main Storyline's Final Boss. It's a bit tough at first, but once you level up one or two levels it will progressively become doable, but by no means a cakewalk.

If there were any other rare items, I was full on inventory.

No. You cannot solo. They require you to have a party of 3 with you at all times.

don;t count zero he is codebreakerish. at lvl 135 you practically own the FoP, IGN is overrating again.
sure it's long, but not hard.
they probably stopped to fight everyfight in the area each floor.

Yeah...the way I see it if the first 2 games weren't insanely difficult, no reason this last bit of game 3 should be.

ok I have a question about FOP. I heard that u get 2 sets of Guns from playing it, 1 for completing the event and one for doing some mission along the way. Now my question is, what do they look like? I saw that sneak peak vid and saw Haseo with a   Green and black pair of guns are these the ones u get while making your way through FOP or do u get that while outside of the event?

And on a side note how cool would it be if after you beat FOP you can go back and do it again as many times as u want? idk if its just me but after beating the Boss Events after the main story was over in Vol 1 and Vol 2 it gets a bit boring. no real challenge so u just go around pwning weak monsters. Who else thinks they should have made the FOP a event you could do over and over again?

fop will be boss less after completed, the black guns with green orenmants are fop reward.

While you can do the FOP more then once their really is no point in doing so after the floor 100 boss is dead.

Besides like Wild Arms 3's abyss even if you skip all non boss battles I could easily see the dungeon taking 5 to 7 hours long just to reach the last floor via 1 run of the forest.

By 1 run I mean to never warp back to town till the floor 100 boss is dead.

Any dungeon is only as long as you chose to make it. If you don't kill anything but bosses, it could probably take you about an hour. If you do it right though, it will doubtless take a grand total of 5-7 hours. And you don't have to do it in one sitting, so its really not bad. Just save and do some more the next day.
