Regarding Antares (SPOILERS)

I got to wondering about Antares after I did the quest for the Lost Weapons involving him and Phyllo, and he mentioned that Phyllo asked this favour of him before he died. I've watched Roots, and as far as I can remember, the only favour Phyllo asked of someone right before he died was to that green-haired character who used to play that fat TaN guy. So basically, is this guy also Antares, or is it someone else?

Tawalaya/Tawaraya and Tohta are the names, barring me spelling them wrong.

Anyway. Tohta is rather young, like in his early twenties, and after Roots he went to study abroad. Whereas Antares is married and drinks a lot, which probably implies that he stays at home -- and clearly isn't studying.

So no, they're not the same person. I don't think they were the same "last wishes" either.

i believe antares is an old friend of phyllo's who got phyllo's really last wish and character since the other guy was studying abroad

It's possible that Antares is Phyllo's friend in real life, so there are many ways that he could have learned of Phyllo's will in some other way. How did Phyllo find out about the Lost Weapons?

Based on Roots, you'd think it would've been through either Yata or Ovan. More likely Ovan though, given that the Phase Eight weapon is already gone. That and Phyllo isn't in any position to learn of the Epitaphs without an Epitaph User or a key Administrator telling him.

You're most likely right in saying it was Ovan, as I doubt that Yata would be able to gather the necessary information on how to obtain the Lost Weapons, evidenced by the fact that if he did he surely would've sent Pi to obtain her Weapon long before Haseo.

True... If Yata knew he would have sent Pi long ago... that and Ovan´s missing weapon and stuff...
But remember that Yata does have a lot of information and sources... so he would probably learn about that sooner or later...

I have a theory. I think Phyllo knew about the Lost Weapons because he was an Epitaph user. I'm not quite sure which of the 8 Phases he had but in /Roots when he   dies of cancer his Epitaph could've easily found the next candidate as Innis did from Shino to Atoli .

emm but his game character isnt dead....so his avatar would not find another character,rite?  Shino's character was killed by ovan . So its kinda different,rite?

I don't agree with the theory but it is possible. If you remember Kuhn explained that the avatars are connected to the real-world player. So if the real-world player died or was in some way unable to control the character the Epitaph could go to another player. And I believe that, though I don't have a reliable source, Shino's  character still exists in the world, I think Yata was supposed to have brought it to the Serpent of Lore after Ovan PKed her so technically Shino's character still exists but obviously doesn't use its epitaph anymore (unless I imagined that whole fight with Innis which would explain the ease I defeated her with). Though I have to say I do not agree with the theory as Ovan or Yata or you know someone would have mentioned Phyllo being an epitaph user since they were all looking like crazy for them.
