Simply put... I miss the challenge and replayability of the first four .hack games. And some of the environmental stuff as well, like the grunties you could raise with items and all that... I want to see a World R:1 game with all the greatest features of GU implemented (like no loading between areas of a dungeon, trade meter, larger towns, graphics and storyline).

However... Seeing as .hack//fragment is based on the beta version of The World from the AI Buster novels, the Next-gen .hack game will probably in fact, BE The World R:1. However... I feel the storybased games will be coming to an end, unless they remove C.C. Corp from the equation... Seriously, how many times can coma-inducing bugs be reported due to a single company without serious consequences?

Hack//Legend of the Twilight Chibi's
I hated the Dusk anime, but I still watched it...or the episodes of it that I had access to. If it's .hack, I'm there!

I actually didn't mind the manga as much. Rather, there were some things about the manga that I liked quite a lot. It's just the anime that I had problems with, and given that it wasn't canon, it didn't bother me to say "The Dusk anime sucks!" It was just...I don't know. It felt too fake to be a .hack series!

I liked the manga because of how weird and out-there it got at times. It felt like it was just a little break in the regular flow of .hack to give the reader a laugh or to make them smile. Because, as it is, it's one of the few .hack stories that really DOES have a 100% light, safe, and happy ending.

Dusk is far from my favorite installment though. That'd be... Well, I'm not sure anymore what it would be.

I'd love to see new Hack games on the PS3! I think they should make the new games a little like Campions of Norrath. So players could really play through the game with their own character. Also you should be able to play through a game story off line and play on line when ever you want. Since in Hack//GU they hint that the company that made the world may still have data from the first version, I don't see why they couldn't put both versions togather plus some new stuff, and give us all a whole lot of choices! If they really listen to what fans want, they could make a game that fans could enjoy for years to come. :D

Auratwilight: Dude, no one needs size 18 font in bright seizure inducing blue. TONE IT DOWN.

Sort of not really ._.

No. But I don't want to go out of my way and buy a next gen console just to play .hack D:

...I totally forgot, but t_s_u_k_a_s_a reminded me. If it's on a console other than PS2, I won't be getting it either. x_x Or I won't be going out of the way to get a new console just for the game. I wish they would stop making a new system every two years or something.

So all my rambling was for nothing. :(

I have a feeling it's going to be for the PS3 -__- I hope it's for the PSP though, although I slightly doubt it.

I'm not too supportive of a third .hack era. However, it would kick ass if it is planned for the Wii. : D. We would have 1000 broken controllers in one day just from players Data Draining.

The .hack franchise would become too repetitive if there is a third series. I mean what would the next storyline be?  Eina ran away and doesn't want to the Ultimate AI anymore?

The World becomes the "real" world, and the real world becomes the "optional" world of the two?

And this is where I realize I'm spewing side-story stuff from the RP group again. God damn it.

I don't know what else they could do with .hack... But I'm sure if they decided they wanted to continue it, they would come up with something amazing that I can't even begin to fathom because they're simply better than me in every way, shape, and form.

[/worship]

Even if they don't make any more games, I'd like to see some small stuff, like manga or novels about certain characters. You know--like what they did with Zero, GnU, and Another Birth.

I love the title for it, too. Lmao.

That might be interesting to read, though. We'd get to see more on Moon Tree!

Oh god...

Siblings [Name A] and [Name B] enter a contest and get special limited-edition PCs based on Haseo and Atoli...little do they know that the contest was actually run by  Eina, the god of The World, who has been in love with [Name A] since they met in he beginning of Roots, back before she was a complete being...

Meanwhile, Enju of Moon Tree is determined to bring them to justice, as they now have possession of Avatars Skeith and Innis...

...Noooo...

I have no idea what they'd do for a third series, but keep in mind: Who here, during the days of the first series, could've possibly predicted the AIDA and the Avatars and stuff?

The .hack crew are geniuses. Almost as amazing as myself. Almost.

I have an idea what they'd do for a third series, but I doubt they'd do it... My idea is .hack//Third World. I have an RP backstory and stuff in the RP section here, but, pretty much, the new 'World' is a real world, in a different universe. If you kill an NPC, they're really dead, they never come back, and the people who know them come after you... And, instead of certain players with huge powers, there are people who use certain characters with huge weaknesses.

They are the ones who designed characters that actually are people in that world, and, as soon as they log in, they forget that they are players and instead, are convinced that they are in their own world, and, in a sense, they are... And, that being, the certain players end up in comas, due to their subconscious becoming a permanent part of the game.

Far-fetched, and I am biased, as I made it up, but, I like the concept.

I like the new ideas and story, and that is what matters the most when it comes to .hack....but I think the first set were more fun to play.

Big Banners, and Animated avatars and you're upset because I used size 18 fonts!?!? Anyway, if for whatever reason font size is such a big deal here, I will try to remember to just use the more normal font size in the future, Auratwilight. :?

Back on topic. I think they need to get out of the whole coma story line and just have a good game story like any other on line game. If you could play the game on line for real they wouldn't need to put so much into the fake on line game story, but it would still be nice if you could get e-mails or play on line with some of the .Hack characters from all of the games, animes, and mangas. :D Imagine playing on line with friends and being able to invite Kit, Black Rose, or Haseo into your party!
