For looks: Shino. She's so pretty, it enrages me.

For Personality: Atoli. I find her pointless level exploring and respect for the in-game story adorable, along with just about every other aspect of her behavior.

Overall: Haseo. I relate to him in more ways than I care to admit.

IMOQ

For Looks: Blackrose. The coloring used for her is fantastic, and is generally attractive. Pink is a bit of a weak spot for me, as is darker skin.

For Personality: Mistral. Volume 3 felt very empty without her constant cheerful absurdity and item whoring.

Overall: Balmung. His endgame e-mails and his behavior in \\GIFT really made him go from a stereotypical, overcompensating MMORPG player to a guy with a genuinely good heart, a hard knock life, and the disposition of constantly dealing with tough issues.

Honorable Mention: endgame Lios, because he became so subtley goofy.

Udeden

Looks: Hotaru (online). Ouka (offline).

Personality: Mistral baby. : D

Overall: Balmung the Admin. So his journey continues!

Looks: Mimiru. Notice a trend here?

Personality: Bear. Probably the best character ever. Not only does he make every character around him more interesting, but his involvement in something almost always means plot progression, or good exposition. His theme song's good too.

Another good personality: Subaru. A really powerful character in terms of being a gateway to learning more about the characters she's involved with. Due to being such an honest and true person, the truth of others tend to come out with her around. Yet another one with good theme songs.

Tsukasa - for his passive personality, yet sometimes cocky attitude. I also love his voice. That's also the voice of Taro in Serial Experiments LAIN, which is my favorite show.

and Mirreille - For her adorable behavior and obsession of rare items. ^_^

Well, actually, you're right. I hate Atoli, too.

Shino: Waaaay too goody-two-shoes. She makes the game less fun by taking it too seriously. And not wanting to level up? What kind of player are you? That, and I hate her voice.

Atoli: Putting it nicely, she's a ****. She ignores Haseo for Ovan. I hate Ovan. Haseo loves her. I love Haseo. Noticing a trend? XD I suppose in a perverse way Im spitefully jealous of her.

Haseo ftw. Azure Kite comes in second. I also really like Tabby, Kite, Elk, Balmung, Ouka, Mia, Sora, Death Grunty and some others that I can't remember right now XD

I like pretty much all of the .Hack characters. There really aren't any that I don't like.

I don't care for Atoli very much though <.< She's cute and all, but there's too much fanart of her with Haseo. Haseo belongs with Azure Kite D:

yeah mistral is cool to..*marks on list of likes again* its been to long though but mistral is cool! and somedays i just want to beat the hell out of haseo for the way he treats atoli... shes not realy annoyint to me >.> i see her ways.. and im kinda at her smart level XD and even our dreams almost match.. almost.. *but when it came to kicking the gold bird i got mad >.> i wanted to kick it XD*
